The spirit of God gives itself to everyone; the power of God is delivered to all. Whosoever will, may come. As persons become aware that stability of possessions is advantageous to each individually, they also realize that stability is not possible unless everyone refrains from disturbing others’ possessions. As this awareness becomes more widespread and effective in people’s behaviors, there arises a convention to respect the possessions of others. This redirection of self-interest, assisted by our natural tendency to sympathize with the feelings of others who benefit from stability of possession, gives rise to our approval of justice. In this way, the virtue of obeying laws arises naturally from our feelings and desires. No matter what the mistakes of our yesterdays may have been, we may transcend both the mistakes and its consequences through imbibing the spirit of truth, which is the power of God. This does not mean that we may continue living in the mistake without suffering from it. We must transcend it. That is, we must transmute hate into love, fear into faith, and a sense of separation into conscious union with God. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Natural virtues consisting of courage, magnanimity, ambition, and truth are based on, or may even be a form of, self-esteem. Whatever we call heroic virtue, and admire under the character of greatness and elevation of mind, is either nothing but a steady and well-established pride and self-esteem, or partakes largely of that passion. Courage and all the other shining virtues of that kind, have plainly a strong mixture of self-esteem in them, and derive a great part of their merit from that origin. Yet these virtues based on self-esteem must be tempered by a second group that includes generosity, compassion, fidelity, and friendship; otherwise traits like courage are fit only to make a tyrant and public robber. “Now, if a person desired to serve God, it is his privilege; or rather, if one believes in God it is one’s privilege to serve him; but if one does not believe in God there is no law to punish that individual (Alma 30.9).” However, keep in mind, all things whatsoever you do to others, you do unto yourself. Give, and it shall be given. It is like the concept of reflections in which a reflection is isometry, which means the original and image are congruent. We believe in our own soul, spirit, and destiny; for we understand that the life of human beings is God. The virtuous person ought to be concerned with the welfare of all human beings, whether they be intimate or stranger; that we will achieve a kind of inner calm and self-esteem. Virtues are based on friendly feelings and good will. We develop self-esteem from what we do well, if what we do well expresses something distinctive and durable about us, and deliberative abilities are among the most durable features of ourselves. As we gain a facility at deliberation, we come to develop self-esteem and enjoy who we are. A virtuous person who enjoys most the exercise of one’s developed deliberative powers. We also recognize that self-esteem must be tempered by benevolence as it will help with the development and preservation of proper self-love that requires friendships in which persons come to care of others for others’ own sake. This is the great challenge of spiritual faith. We also should not look with doleful introspection on previous errors; but, come daily to the fountain of life to be renewed in bodily conditions and in physical affairs. Being blessed with life is an honor, it is a preparation for a sacred opportunity of eternal life. We are all unique children of God and he knows us individually. God sends messages of encouragement, correction, and direction which are tailored to us and our needs. Many of us wish that we were Angels and could have the delights of our heart. And that is why the Lord does counsel in wisdom, according to that which is just and true. God loves us and wants our happiness. And he knows how a lack of trust in him brings sadness. Humans are not only a center of God consciousness; humans are an immortal being, forever expanding, forever spiraling upward, forever growing in spiritual stature. Not some people, but all people are immortal, for everyone will finally overcome or transcend any misuse of the law which one has made in one’s ignorance. Complete redemption at last must come, alike, to all. That trust comes from knowing God. Whether your faith of God began in 1820, when you were a young boy, living on a farm in the state of New York, among a grove of trees, or you have just now come to know and build faith it God, when you kneel to pray, have complete trust that God will answer your pleading. What transformations must ensue, what change of consciousness must take place before this is finally brought about, we shall some day behold reality face-to-face. We shall be satisfied when we consciously awake in the likeness of that divinity which shapes our ends. Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when God shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. We are all in the process of spiritual evolution, but there is certainly behind us, certainty before us, and certainty with us at every moment. The eternal light will break through wherever we permit it to. Potentially, everything that is to be exists now, but our spiritual vision has not yet become completely in tune with the infinite. Faith may be hard to understand for people are scientific or factual. For instance, you may have worked hard all of your life and because of unfortunate circumstances, end up living around people who can barely read, adults who vandalize cars, and steal and lie. At this age, you may have seen yourself living in Manhattan, around people who work on Wall Street, and going to fancy clubs and sipping on Martinis, talking about how your friend just bought a new BMW. It might make you sad to see how much work you put into achieving your dreams, but how it looks like they have not or never will come true. However, if you pray to God, and truly believe, he can change your life and make your dreams come true. You might wonder how because you do not see any opportunities for advancement. Well, God can and does place people in positions of influence who want what is best for the people who trust in the Lord. God may place a huge reward in your life or a new friend who will help you break past any barriers you are facing, so keep the faith and know anything you imagine can still happen. Shall we not, then, with joy, go forth to meet the new day, endeavoring so to embody the spirit of God that the divine in us shall rise triumphant, resurrected, to live forever in the city of God? Pondering, which means to weigh mentally, to deliberate, to meditate, can achieve the opening of the spiritual eyes of one’s understanding. Also, the spirit of the Lord may rest upon the ponderer. While on Earth, would you not like to know what you have helped at least one person feel better about themselves? Would it not be nice to know that you helped to save a life by being a good person, and being kind to someone else. A lot of people pretend to be nice, but are not. And we cannot always be nice to everyone, but it is nice to have people we genuinely care about and treat with great concern and compassion. How we determine what is right and wrong illuminates the role character plays. It is nice to develop an enjoyment in the activities of deliberating and reflecting and in our self-love to be enabled to size up practical situations correctly and determine correctly what it is best to do. Insight and virtue and good character are based on a self-esteem and self-confidence that arises from a satisfaction taken in the fully realized expression of the rational powers characteristic of human beings. Our Father in Heaven has generously given to all of us life, which includes free agency. It is not possible to have a free ride on the road to joy, and there is no real joy that does not involve self-denial and self-discipline; we must ponder our actions and their results. To soundly plant good seeds in your heart requires prolonged, intense, unremitting pondering. It is a deep, ongoing, regenerating process which refines the soul. People never have ceased being interested in the nature of God, and there is nothing that gives greater satisfaction than to believe in a supreme intelligence with which we many commune, and an infinite power with which we may consciously deal. When we use the Word God or Spirit, we do not mean a tribal God, but the supreme mind and power back of all created from, the intelligence which responds to us, the intelligence which rises through the mineral, vegetable, and animal kingdoms, and blossoms in the human mind as it approaches the conscious recognition that is one with the soul. Remember to be careful with your thoughts and words also. It used to be popular to tell kids to “Go wash your mouth out with soap!” often because they said a bad word. Now, kids are eating soap and dying as a result. That it shows how things can manifest. Our God is a living God, and his power fills the Universe with his spirit. If we are not careful, we will begin to chase after the temporal more than the spiritual. Spiritual mind healing has long since passed the experimental stage, and we now know why it is that faith has performed miracles. We are in the lap of an infinite intelligence. There is a divine pattern at the center of every organ of the physical body. Our body is some part of the body of God; it is a manifestation of the supreme spirit. Knowing God is science because faith in God depends on the law of the mind, and laws of the mind are as exact as any other laws in nature. Happiness is the object and design of our existence. In some respects, progressing through life is like running a marathon. We are near the beginning of our Earthly journey. Religion is human’s idea of God—of the ultimate reality. Anyone who has ever tried to master an art knows that patience is necessary of one wants to achieve anything. All our machines are designed for speed: the car and airplane bring us quickly to our destination—and it seems the faster the better. Our discipline should not be practiced like a rule imposed on oneself from the outside, but should become an expression of our will so that it is felt as pleasant. All the unfulfilled desires for love, union, and closeness find their satisfaction in the our divinely accomplished responsibilities. Love, experienced is a constant challenge; it is not a resting place, but moving, growing, working together; even when there is harmony or conflict, joy or sadness because the only proof of existence is love. Our relationships are enriched because they are based on trust. And the greatest blessing that comes from being honest is that we are able to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost. Many modern people have transformed themselves into a commodity; they experience their life’s energy as an investment with which we should make the highest profit, considering our position and the situation on the personality market. Sometimes we alienate ourselves from our fellow people and from our nature. Our main aim becomes profitable exchange of our skills, knowledge, and of ourselves, our personality package with others who are equally intent on a fair and profitable exchange. Just as modern psychiatrists recommend happiness of the employee, in order to be more appealing to the customers, some ministers recommend the love of God to be more successful. Make God your partner means make God a partner in business, love, justice, and truth. Acknowledge God’s leadership while you are doing your part. When we are tempted to be dishonest, and this temptation comes to all of us, we may suppose that no one will ever know. However, our Heavenly Father always knows, and we are ultimately accountable to him. This knowledge helps us continually strive to live up to this covenant with God: We believe in being honest. Being true means to be steadfast, loyal, accurate or without deviation. Being true to our beliefs—even when doing so is not popular, easy, nor fun—keeps us safely on the path that leads to eternal life with our Heavenly Father. We are made up of truth and belief. While the Universal mind contains all knowledge, and is the potential of all things, only as much as truth comes to us as we are able to receive it. God is the great innovator of the World by divine authority. You woke up in the morning with the Sunrise in your eyes, but all that she is seeing is darkness, and she will not tell you why. No more butterflies because they do not never last, stolen from the light by demons of the past. It is always raining, but she keeps on praying. When it comes to our physical well-being, we accept gaining and illness as part of our mortal journey. We seek the counsel of professionals who understand the physical body. When we suffer from emotional distress or our psychological fitness is diminished, we seek the help of experts who treat these kinds of disorders. Oh, sunny days, lift me when I am down. Oh, sunny days, break you through the clouds. Just as we face physical and emotional trials in this mortality, we also face spiritual challenges. Most of us have experiences times in our lives when our testimony burns brightly. We also may have experiences times when our Heavenly Father seems distant. When we think of spiritual wellness—how can we find healing from stagnation and walk a path of vibrant spiritual health? She keeps on praying. All she needs is shelter, shelter for the night. And this one could be Heaven, but she is looking down the line. Sometimes spiritual illness comes as a result of sin or emotion wounds. In many cases, spiritual breakdowns come so gradually that we can scarcely tell what is happening. Like layers of pain, spiritual pain and grief can build over time, weighing upon our spirits until it is almost too heavy to bear. However, most people are trying to do whatever they can to live by the law. Last night, I had a dream that Samantha Stephens punished her son Little Darrin for lying. To some people, lies are very serious because when people tell a story, which is untrue, it erodes your trust from them and you can never tell if you can trust anything they are saying. When people lie to us, we might even feel as though we have no more to give or that they do not rely on the living commandments of God, which is where our strength comes from. Lying can create a kind of neurotic disturbance, and cause people to quarrel or indicate signs of dissatisfaction outwardly. Lying can also get people killed, arrested, or in some other way ruin their lives, and cause irreversible damage. #RandolphHarris 2 of 9
Also, lying can leave people feeling puzzled and afraid. It is sad when a person is around you and because you lie, they are never sure of what to feel or think because there is always an element of the unknown, the mysterious, in the atmosphere. As a result, people may withdraw into a World of their own, daydreams, remain remote, and retain the same attitude in their love relationships later on. Furthermore, the withdrawal results in the development of intense stress, a feeling of not being firmly grounded in the World, and often leads to masochistic tendencies as the only way to experience intense excitement. There was this new manager or an apartment complex, and she has some kind of psychological fitness injury and had a man go inspect the apartment units, and he went into the bedroom, without the man of the house knowing, and tossed the sheets around. When the man of the house came home, the little girl who witnessed this man in the bedroom told her daddy. He jammed his wife up and, although she never lied, the man did not believe that the manager told man to go in her bedroom and toss the sheets around. She even said, I swear,” with her right hand on the Bible. So he got upset, thought she was cheating, and in the heat of the movement choked her out until her neck started to bleed. #RandolphHarris 3 of 9
Unfortunately, the man of the house was arrested and the family fell behind on bills because he had to take time off work and hire a lawyer. So, it was a huge misunderstanding started by a manager who was looking to upset families because she is evil. However, just because spiritual trials are real does not mean that they are incurable. If we carefully look into the deep meaning of the laws of God, we find they were all designed to reveal one divine presence to the undisciplined mind. Our study and reading are a process of disciplining our own thoughts to grow into greater spiritual understanding. We can still love people in spite of their mistakes, they are still family. You have it in you to respect what your family members have to say and forgive them. Look at your beautiful family, look at yourself, you are the change that counts. We must understand that human life and consequences are real. We have to look at life with the universal law of cause and effect by introducing the personal factor. Although the media is bashing America, and trying to spread anti-American sentiment, do not buy into it. You should still be proud to be American. What they are trying to do is take America down being, arguably, the best, riches, and most beautiful country in the World. Foreign governments are trying to make Americans feel shamed of who they are, to rob you of your spirit and empower their own countries. When you hear reporters reporting lies on the television, or in the newspaper, write them a letter, and jam them up about disrespecting your home, but be respectful about it, and do NOT threaten them. You do not want these people spreading propaganda to have any reason to get you jammed up in the legal system. Behind the individuality is the Spiritual oneness of God, which holds us all together in unity and love. When you receive the divine presence of God, impart it to others that you love. Recognize that truth itself is Universal and belongs to all people. God is the great law-giver, and there is something beyond even the law, which is love. Always remember that family comes first. On my way to my mother’s house, which is in Southern Sacramento, California USA, I saw a field of cows and it made me smile because Sacramento is a cow-town, with a lot of trees and house. My mother bought her house when there were still gravel roads and when target was located on part of a farm. I was happy to see the cows because it means Sacramento is being true to what it is. A valley, with family values. It is not a big, fancy city like New York. Diversity is good. Keep in mind, the deepest spiritual wounds—even those that may appear to be incurable—can be healed. God’s healing touch can transform lives in our day. If we have faith, God can take our hands, fill our souls with Heavenly light and healing, and speak to us blessed words. When we find the meaning of God’s teaching, we shall have found the key to our own freedom. Our trouble has been that we have not discovered that this key which unlocked the doorway to the larger life is in our own mouth. Whatever causes our spiritual aliments, they all have one thing in common, the absence of divine light. Darkness reduces our ability to see clearly. When we are in darkness, we are more likely to make poor choices because we cannot see the dangers in our path. When we are in darkness, we are more likely to lose hope because we cannot feel the peace and joy that awaits us if we just keep pressing on. The law of God is a law of emancipation of humanity—which means the freedom of each of us. We must never lose sight of the necessity of looking for the light and seeing things as they really are. Truth allows us to discern between truth and error, between the vital and the trivial. When we are in the light, we can make righteous choices based on true principles. We come to the full meaning of building the Kingdom of God, and to form a new philosophy for living. We must treat others how we want to be and expect to be treated. We must have the courage to announce, without qualification and without limitation, that the same power that created everything and holds everything in place is also at the very center of our own being. We will find spiritual healing as we step away from the shadows of the World and into the everlasting light of God. To refuse to pick it up would be to stand in darkness when there is light at hand. The more we understand and apply the doctrinal concept of light, the more we can guard against spiritual sickness that afflict or trouble us on every side and hand, and the better we can serve as energetic, courageous, caring, and humble bearers of the holy soul that God has blessed us with. There is a power, a strong influence, that emanates from God. It proceeds forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space. Because this power enlightens, uplifts, and illuminates our lies, the scriptures often call it light, but it is also referred to as spirit and truth. We are on the pathway of an eternal evolution, the purpose of which is to produce in the individual everything that is inherent in the nature of the divine. To feel we are back with this fundamental unity, to commune with it, to experience the beneficence of its presence, recognized and understood, is what is meant by divine. This profound experience—that light is spirit, which is truth, and that that light shines upon every soul who comes into the World—this is important and hopeful. In the confines of a photograph lives a child who once was me, oh do you see? I still see through those eyes, why did you choose to believe bare-faced lies and let the troubles of others darken your skies? Your soul is good! In the remnants of our time, I wake to find, you have broken me. Used to be free, but in the pain, I chose to stay. Why did you choose to believe things unkind? Oh, hallelujah! Heaven is in your mind. Yes, your soul is good. Everyone will arrive at the same place, for God is incarnated in all. It is still necessary to understand that, while we are often surrounded by negative conditions that certainly seems evil, evil is never a thing in itself. Therefore, Good finally must triumph over evil, even though it appears as though there were some struggles between the powers of light and darkness. The Universe is a spiritual system and we are some part of it; God is right where we are and is discovered at the center of our own being. We meet the great reality in the only place we shall ever discover it, within our own hearts and souls and minds. The light of God fills the Universe and it can fill every heart. Resenting the law of gravity will not keep a person from falling if one steps off a cliff. If the cause be not good, the kind himself has a heavy reckoning to make. Believing there is a principle, intelligence, or consciousness governing all things fosters a feeling of security, being on top of the World, and can allow one to display a great deal of affection and charm. Individuals also understands the laws, or at least some of the laws. Individuals also apply faith, consciousness, and spiritual conviction to the solution of human problems. This is what is meant by spiritual mind treatment. The basis or pure concept is that there is an absolute intelligence in the Universe—one, undivided, birthless, deathless, changeless reality. Every person’s soul is one’s own. And that is why it is God’s will that we be free men and women, enabled to rise to our full potential, both temporally and spiritually. When things turn bad, there is usually a tendency to blame others or even God sometimes. In many cases, a sense of entitlement arises, and individuals or groups try to shift responsibility for their welfare to other people or to the government. However, God intends that his children act according to the moral agency he has given them, that every person may be accountable for one’s own sins in the day of judgment. It is God’s plan and his will that we have the principal decision-making role in our own life’s drama. God will not live our lives for us nor control us as if we were his puppets, as the adversary prosed to do. Nor will we accept the role of puppet master (a person, group, or country that covertly controls another with actions and thoughtfully assembled words, usually with a commanding or guilt-inducing voice inflection as his or her weapon) in God’s place. God wants us to be good people and to try and live right and respect the laws of the land. God also will not make us do something we do not choose by our actions to become. Truly, God loves us, and because he loves us, he neither compels nor abandons us. Rather, God helps and guides us. Indeed, the real manifestation of God’s love is his commandments. Therefore, the cosmos is reflected in, or manifested by or through, the individual. We are the personification of the infinite, governed by the same laws. God did not put us on Earth so we would be like the only corn on the cob in a pig pen. We should (and we do) rejoice in the God-ordained plan that permits us to make choices to act for ourselves and experience the consequences that we may know to prize the good. The application of the principles of such a religion to our everyday problems is just as necessary as that there must be a practical application of those theories for them to be of value. It is not enough merely to abstract our thought and announce an infinite, for the infinite can never at any time mean more to us than the use we make of it. Just as electricity can never mean more to us than the use we make of it. This is true of any and all principles of nature. We can choose to become the kind of person that we will, and with God’s help, that can be even as he is. Because there is an infinite creative intelligence which makes things out of itself by itself, the creative genius of the Universal mind is also the creative genius of its individualization, which we all call human beings. If we learn this principle of stretching and not settling, then we will see the fullness of what God has in store and make it all the way to our Promised Land. God created us, and he put seeds of increase on the inside. We were never made to reach one level and stop. We were created to grow, to move forward, and to increase. We should constantly be breaking the barriers of the past, taking new ground for our families, and advancing God’s Kingdom. Because of God’s grace, our failures to live the celestial law perfectly and consistently in morality can be erased if we repent and make a conscious decision not to commit that sin anymore. Justice demands, however, that none of this happen without our willing agreement and participation. It has ever been so. Our very presence on Earth as physical beings is the consequence of a choice each of us made to participate in our Heavenly Father’s plan. Thus, salvation is certainly not the result of divine whim, but neither does it happen by a divine will alone. Justice is an essential attribute of God. Most of the great intellectual geniuses who have ever lived have proclaimed these truths. However, as a consequence of being perfectly just, there are some things God cannot do. God cannot be arbitrary in saving some and banishing others. He wants us all to have a chance, and that is why there is sometimes suffering in the World, even good people suffer. Nevertheless, God cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance. God cannot allow mercy to rob justice. We believe in God, the living spirit Almighty. God is indestructible, absolute, and a self-existent cause. The manifest Universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God. We believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding. The ultimate goal of life is to be completely emancipated from all discord of every nature, and this is the goal to be obtained by all. We believe in the unity of life, and that the highest God is personal for all who feel this indwelling presence. God enables us to retain responsibility for ourselves. The last century witnessed the rediscovery of the inner life. The new age bids us to go to the sources for ourselves. As we take the message of God into our hearts, we will be blessed. Love is a rational phenomenon, as the crowning achievement of maturity. When the individual feels, the community reels. The creative spirit within us is God, and we have an immediate relationship to the divine. May we pray for the inspiration to know of the needs of those around us, and then may we go forward and provide assistance that will establish the truth in others. Let us be of good cheer as we go about our lives. Although we live in trying times, the Lord loves us and is mindful of us. God is always on our side as we do what is right. The purpose of mortality is to learn and to grow and to be more like our Father God, and it is often during the difficult times that we learn the most, as painful as the lessons may be. Our lives can also be filled with joy as we follow the teachings of God. The meaning of love and intimacy is a type of situation involving people which permits validation of all components of personal worth. The essence of love is seen in a situation of collaboration, in which spiritual mind healing of the physical body is a result of touching the springs of life in the soul. God is the Father of our spirits. He has a glorified, perfected body of flesh and bone. We lived with God in Heaven before we were born. And when God created us physically, we were created in the image of God, each with a personal body. Think of our physical sustenance. It is truly Heaven sent. The necessities of air, food, and water all come to us as gifts from a loving Heavenly Father. The Earth was created to support our journey of mortality. We are born with a capacity to grow, love, marry, and form families. The great spiritual leaders of the ages, having given their lives to mediation, prayer, and communion with God, have left a great spiritual legacy to the World. Taken as a whole, they have come nearer to discovering God than any other group of people. Yet, truth cannot belong to any individual, and there can be no religion higher than the truth. We have a cosmic purpose. A whole without religion would be chaos. Religious science has access to the highest enlightenment of the ages. God is the highest enlightenment, and robs no one of truth. The family is the most important social unit in time and eternity. Under God’s great plan of happiness, families can be sealed in temples and be prepared to return to dwell in his holy presence forever. That is eternal life! It fulfills the deepest longings of the human soul—the natural yearning for the endless association with beloved members of one’s family. Truth comes to us as we are able to receive it. Should all the wisdom of the Universe be poured over us, we should yet receive only that which we are ready to understand. Each of us draws from the source of all knowledge only that to which one inwardly listens. The Universal spirit comes to fullest consciousness in the being’s innermost self, we strive to cultivate the inner life, knowing that spiritual certainty is the result of an impact of God upon the soul. We seek the witness of the inner spirit. We are all individually loved by God and part of the central meaning of his work. We are all loved by God and people on this Earth and in Heaven are grateful for you. The very angels of Heaven are thanking you for every good thing you have ever done, for every kind word you have ever said, for every sacrifice you have ever made in extending to someone—to anyone—the beauty and blessings of God. The gospel is the good news for the here and now. Religion means right living, and right thinking. We do not wait on the future, but bestow our rewards in this life—in better health, happier homes, and all that makes for a well-balanced, normal life. Keep faith. Deep cries unto the deep, deep answers deep. God is the great innovator in his World, and progress is by divine authority. Religious faith in our day is breaking from the narrow bounds of past teaching and expanding in both breadth and depth. It is because people believe more in God and the true essentials of spiritual life. The future religion will be free from fear, superstition, doubt, and will ask no one where God may be found. For the secret place of the Most High will be revealed in the inner sanctuary of one’s own heart, and the eternal God will sit enthroned in one’s own mind. Nothing is more sad than the death of an illusion. Truth is Universal and belongs to all people. All wickedness cannot quench light. The love of God is essentially the same as the belief in God, in God’s existence, God’s justice, God’s love. Every soul that lives or has lived can touch that light. The love of God is in essence a thought of experience that the infinite power of God transmits itself down to beings on Earth through a series of steps. It is an intense energy and feeling allowing for the experiencing of oneness and being with God inseparably linked with the expression of this love in every act of living. Anything other than peace of love is an error. “Therefore, I would that you should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, the Lord God Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to Heaven, that you may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, though the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of God who created all things, in Heaven and in Earth, who is God above all. You are known, you are valued, you have potential, and you are good. The Lord knows who we are and he knows who needs our help. God himself atones for the sins of the World, to bring about the plan of mercy, to appease the demands of justice, that God might be perfect, just God, and a merciful God also. Loyalty and determination are characteristic of a divine child, and praise and honor will come. When we find the key to the meaning of the teachings of God, we shall have found the key to our own freedom. Sometimes, our trouble is that we have not discovered the doorway to the larger life. We have not realized that the things which seem so insignificant are full of wonder and amazement and part of the most powerful Being in the Universe. We must have faith and the courage to announce, without qualification and without limitation, that the same power that created everything and holds everything in place is also at the center of our own being. Evil is a lack of knowledge of the truth. In contrast, prayer is a supernatural gift of our Father in Heaven to every soul. The people in your life will not only recognize your love, but feel the Lord’s love and his power as his spirit bears witness to them that what you have said is true. Neither tribulation, nor life, nor death, nor any other circumstance shall have the power to separate us from the love of God. You are God’s precious child whom he loves perfectly and want to help. As you pray, recognize that Father in Heaven is near and he is listening. God is right where we are. The great reality is within the only place we shall every discover it, within our hearts and souls and minds. The Universe is a system of intelligence, and God will guide us to do that which will restore our confidence the he is near. Pray when you have no desire to pray. Sometimes, like a child, we may misbehave and feel that we cannot approach God with a problem, but that is when we most need to pray. Never feel that you are too unworthy to pray. We are not spiritual orphans. We are not alone. The Lord’s way is that we hearken to his teachings, understand correct principles, and govern ourselves. God is our Heavenly Father, who knows us, loves us, and wants us to return to him. There is perfection at the center of everything, just as all the spiritual geniuses have believed. There is a perfect person standing back of all our trouble, sickness, and confusion. Our Savior and Redeemer made it certain through atonement that we will overcome death and live again and it is possible for us to be exalted and have eternal life. The Holy Ghost is our comforter, revelator, teacher, testifier, and guide. “Now, when I think of the success of these my brethren my soul is carried away, even to the separation of it from the body, and it were, so great is my joy. And now may God grant unto these, my brethren, that they may sit down in the kingdom of God; and also all those who are the fruit of their labors that they may go no more out, but that they may praise him forever. And may God grant that it may be done according to my words, even as I have spoken. Our Heavenly Father wants us to seek his knowledge, which is an invisible essence or what we call a superior wisdom. It is possible that a series of affirmations and inward spiritual realizations can heal physical ailments because God’s work is already done and he leaves it to us to work out our own salvation. Divine harmony will produce a definite result. God is not only the final reality, he is the only present reality. Everything that is real is of him. Our own being is God manifest as personality. Creative power of God is individualized in every soul. Spiritual faith, belief and conviction, are not merely terms used to designate the devotional life, they are dynamic and creative instruments to be used in everyday living. When we build our house upon God, the rains of the latter days may descend, the floods may come, and the winds may blow, but we will not fall. We will not fail, for our home and our family will be founded upon the Lord. The promise which he gives unto us of eternal life, and the glory of the celestial kingdom.
