Let My People Go to the Beach!

Most people look to God as a helping father. We have faith in the principles which God represents; we think truth, lives love, and justice, and considers all of our lives valuable because it gives us a chance to unfold our human powers. To love God means that we are longing for the attainment of the full capacity to love, for the realization of that which God stands for in oneself, as we strive for the reality of spiritual salvation and inner birth. The realm of love is something we are able to develop throughout the process of evolution, as we long to experience God’s higher powers, his longing for truth, and his unity. The dark legions of the World fear most of all the innocence of God because it unmasks the disguises by which they hold sway over a large part of the World’s population. The love of God is neither the knowledge of God in thought, nor the thought of one’s love of God, but the act of experiencing the oneness with God. This leads to the emphasis on the right way of living. All of life, every little and every important action, is devoted to the knowledge of God, but a knowledge not in right thought, but in right action. Some believe it is important to represent a way of life according to which someone light strive for the well-being of others, whether friend or stranger, without caring about material rewards or Worldly success.  #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

Many develop emotional habits that support right action, but in a matter of having reason to control passions and emotions so that they do not interfere with right action. Self-mastery or continence is considered virtue. Generosity is a duty that we are to preform, but one cannot be legally compelled to be generous, and when or how generosity is shown is not precisely specifiable. However, in the cause of generosity, the motive of the agent counts. For if I give money to a poor person I encounter on the street and do so because I want others to think well of me, I have not acted generously and performed my imperfect duty. When I give generously, I must do so out of concern for the good of the person to whom I give the money. If we adopt others’ happiness as an end, we will not take malicious pleasure in their downfall. On the contrary, we will naturally feel gratitude for their benevolence and sympathy for their happiness. These feelings will make it easier for us to perform our duties and are a sign that we are disposed to do so. Sympathy is one of the impulses that nature has implanted in us to do what the representation of duty alone would not accomplish. We preform the duties of virtue with the properly cultivated emotions. And if we perform our duties of virtue in the right spirit, one part of us, reason, retains control over the other part, passion. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

Virtue contains a beneficial command to human beings, namely to bring all of our capacities and inclination under our (reason’s) and control and so to rule over ourselves, for unless reason holds the reins of government in its own hands, human being’s feelings and inclinations play the master over them. The correct way to be passionate is to use our passional nature in a way that fosters morality. For morality moves us to action whereas reason alone does not always. Therefore, virtues can arise from our feelings and desires. We accept the instruction from God reverently as or guide and goal. God knows the worth of our souls. He wants to heal the brokenhearted, deliver the captives, and heal the sick. God wants to lift up our eyes unto Heaven, and be merciful to us. The Universal creative spirit is present everywhere and is within every living being. Humans are created free, with the possibility of limitless expansion, and let alone to discover themselves. During this process of self-discovery, humans bring upon themselves, through the operation of the law of mine, the experiences they imagine in their thoughts. However, the divine providence leads to harmony and that is why we are encouraged to focus on God. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

We are never really alone when we love God. God holds before us the great promise of the final redemption of human beings through his laws and our relation to the divine spirit. There is always something at the innermost depths of our being which never completely loses a sense of our spiritual nature. “Humans are free according to the flesh; and all things are given to them which are expedient unto humans. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all humans, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the great adversary; for the adversary seeks that al people might be miserable like unto himself (2 Nephi 2.27).” Necessity for self-preservation makes of want to band together and have organized leadership. These are the factors that makes a nation great. The spiritual impulses are fundamental to the nature of our being. Those nearest us need love also. We must organize our people so that they work together effectively in commerce, agriculture, industry, and international relations. If we undertake and continue the development of the Kingdom of God under divine guidance, we will bring a quality of love to reign and it will compliment our organizational ability and the intellect soul. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

Seeing that our merciful God has given us so great knowledge concerning these things, let us remember him, and lay aside our sins, and not hand down our heads, for we are not cast off. We have inherited by far the richest and most powerful kingdom of the World at this time. We possess great wisdom and understanding. The hope is that we will return to the true knowledge of the Kingdom of God and the final triumph of spiritual power. It is too easy for people to forget that there is a supreme ruler at the center of the nation of ourselves, whose sovereignty is fixed in love and enthroned. This ruler is God. It is only as we turn our thoughts away from this spiritual sovereignty that our faculties and energies become dispersed. This makes us a weakened nation, subject to the invasion of every fear, doubt, aliment, and temptation that presents itself at the borders of our experience. There knowledge that life can never destroy itself and that trust crushed to Earth shall rise again. Our own souls eternally proclaim that we should not forget that the very power which created this World is the power that builds the bridge for the remnant to return to the Holy Land. Let the Kingdom of God be real and very practical. Let us know right now that we are established in the kingdom of health, happiness, and wholeness, because we are established in the Kingdom of God. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

It is Better to Look Up!

In the ground of existence, God is truth, love, and justice. One’s mind should be continuously acknowledging the presence of God and the power of God in one’s experience. God is I, inasmuch as I am human. Unconditional love is all protective, all-enveloping; because it is unconditional it can also not be controlled or acquired. Its presence gives the loved person a sense of bliss; its absence produces a sense of lostness and utter despair. Since God loves all of his children because they are his children, and not because they are good, obedient, or fulfill his wishes and commands, God’s love is based on equality. All humans are equal, because they are children of God, and because they have been blessed to live on Earth so that they may learn to love others and return to life with their eternal Father. If we exercise our faith and look to God for help, we will not be overwhelmed with the burdens of life. Believe in God; believe that he is wisdom and has all power, both in Heaven and in Earth. We will be strengthened, and our lives will be filled with peace and joy. We will come to realize that most of what we worry about is not of eternal significance—and if it is, the Lord will help us. However, we must have the faith to look up and the courage to follow God’s direction. “Therefore, lift your heads, and rejoice, and put your trust in God (Mosiah 7.19).” #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

Encouraging people to look up is a metaphor for remembering God. As we remember him and trust in his power, we receive strength through him. “I can do all things through God, whom strengthens me (Philippians 4.13).” That means we can be relieved of our stress, burdens, and our suffering. we can be forgiven and healed from the pain of our sins. God has the power to allow us to receive the faith and strength to endure all things. Spiritually looking up is not a one-time experience. We learn from the sacrament prayer that we are to always remember God and to keep his commandments, that we may have his spirit to be with us every day to guide us. The nature of Fatherly love is that God makes demands, establishes principles and laws, and after we pour out our hearts and souls to Heavenly Father in prayer, he leads us to forsake the things of the World, repent, and change. He leads us as we keep his commandments and try to be more like him. And God leads us through the Holy Ghost. We must act on the direction we receive, and as we do, we will cheer up, for God wants us to be happy. God wants to be part of our lives and bless us and help us. He will heal our wounds, dry our tears, and assist us along our path to return to his presence. As we look up to God, he will lead us. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

Faith is real power, not just an expression of belief.  The acknowledgement of God is a creative act making possible his manifestation in human experience. Let us remember God and not hang down our heads. As we look up to God, our sins are forgiven and burdens are lightened. Spiritual inspiration, understanding, and awareness arise from compassion and virtue. They are aspects of God’s grace that become operational by consent of the seeker’s will. All states of spiritual awareness are actually mystical in that they are subjectively profound and transforming and can procure God’s love. God’s love is grace, the religious attitude is to have faith in this grace, and to make oneself realize that whatever happens to us, God shall rescue us, save us, and forgive us. Needless to say, my love for God and God’s love for me cannot be separated. If your father has passed away, or you never knew your father, simply look up to our Heavenly Father. We live in a World where all children are born of a mother and every last one of them has a Father, they just have to choose to get to know him. God made a covenant with Noah, in which he promises never to destroy the human race again, a covenant by which he has bound himself. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

Each of us have a personal responsibility to do what is necessary to obtain and keep a strong testimony. Not only is God bound by his promises, he is also bound by his own principle, that of justice, truth, and love. As we study, pray, and seek the truth, we will develop greater patience while seeking answers from the Lord. Willingness to be patient is part of our search for truth and part of God’s pattern of revealing truth. Faith will grow and answers will come. Prayer established a serenity within the soul, enabling it to have confidence in that spirit of acceptance without which the divine gift is never complete. For how can the divine gift become complete until one accepts it? There is no song without a singer. If Aaliyah had never dared to start her music career, the World would have never heard those beautiful ballets. It was not easy, but she persevered because it was her passion and she had something to share with the World. And so, we must learn joyfully to enter into our divine inheritance. We should learn to have confidence in life, to believe in the Eternal Father, and accept the divine bounty. This transformation of thought from negation to affirmation, much like a music career, is seldom instantaneous, so we must maintain flexibility of thought, be willing to bend somewhat before the storms of life, but refuse to break. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

Our thought should have an elasticity which permits it to spring back in place, but it cannot do so unless it is first fully convinced that it does know in whom it has believed, unless it is completely convinced that the Universe is a spiritual system governed by a beneficent consciousness. It is the nature of faith to believe God upon his bare word. It will not be, says the sense; it cannot be, says reason; it both can and will be, says faith, for I have a promise for it. By some divine interior awareness there is an intuition within human beings which pushes us forward. There is some spark in our souls which have never been entirely extinguished. The prayer of faith and belief, communion of the soul with it source, fans this spark into a divine blaze in whose light allows no dark shadows to lurk. We must not allow challenges of each day to dominate our time and energy because we will neglect the eternal things that matter most.  Heavenly Father’s great plan of happiness includes the doctrine, the ordinances, the covenants, and the exceeding great and precious promises whereby we can become partakers of the divine nature. We should realize that we are today in the Kingdom of Heaven, that today God is our host, and then we would see that wilderness has become paradise. And we have to say, what a wonderful life it is here. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

For You Have Given Me Hope

Our need to love lies in the experience of separateness and the resulting need to overcome the stress of separateness by the experience of union. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Faith is a trusting and confident attitude toward God, faith may be compared with trust in one’s fellow human beings. In addition, as a cognitive act or state whereby people are said to know God or to have knowledge about him, faith may be compared with our perceptual awareness of our material environment or our knowledge of the existence of other persons. Faith is belief in revealed truths. Ultimately the object of faith is God himself. We are so constituted that faith in love overcomes the belief in hate. Our nature is that faith in life destroys our fears of death. Our nature is such that faith routs all fear all alone the line. The great affirmations of life must, of necessity, destroy their apparent opposites. We have a certain and firm knowledge of God’s benevolence toward us, founded upon the truth of the freely given promise that we will be saved and have eternal life, and this faith in the truth is revealed to our minds, and sealed upon our hearts through the Holy Spirit. There is a permanent relationship between faith and the word of God. #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

We do not have to experience the sorrow caused by sin, the pain caused by others’ actions, or the painful realities of mortality alone. Faith is the indispensable volitional component within the process of acquiring knowledge, and it plays a basically similar role in both religion and nonreligious life. “And we are willing to enter into a covenant with our God to do his will, and to be obedient to his commandments in all things that he shall command us, all the remainder of our days, that we may not bring upon ourselves a never-ending torment, as has been spoken by the angel, that we may not drink out of the cup of wrath of God (Mosiah 5.6).” Wherefore, we must press on with a steadfastness in God, having a perfect brightness of hope, and love of God and of all people. Wherefore, if we shall press forward, feasting upon the word of God, and endure to the end, and we shall have eternal life. As we increase our understanding of God, we soon discover that we are developing a deeper understanding of the great plan of happiness. Prayer is the communion of the soul with the oversoul, with the divine creative presence which is not only in the soul, but which is the soul. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

The religious form of love, that which is called the love of God, is, psychologically speaking, not different. It springs from the need to overcome separateness to achieve union. The love of God has as many different qualities and aspects as the love of human beings has—and to a large extent we find the same differences. God stands for the highest value, the most desirable good. Hence, the specific meaning of God depends on what is the most desirable good for a person. The understanding of the concept of God must, therefore, start with an analysis of the character structure of the person who worships God. Prayer in its truest sense is not a petition, not a supplication, not a wail of despair; it is rather an alignment, a unifying process which takes place in the mind as it reaches to its divine self and to that power which is greater than human understanding. In the act of such prayerful and reverent communion with God one sense the unity of good, the completeness of life, and at times the veil of doubt is lifted and the face of reality appears. This consciousness, which has been referred to as the secret place of the Most High, is an experience rising out of the conviction that God is all there is, beside whom there is none else. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

We are aware of God acting toward us in and through the events of the World around us, so that at all times we are having to do with God and God with us. Our concern is to draw others into this direct awareness of God, rather than to induce them to make James’s gamble. James presumes a complete absence of grounds for belief and, in this situation, he proposes a prudent gamble. Prayer, then, is communion, and this communion produces life to be good. Prayerful communion ascends to that place where unity has not yet become variety, where the unformed one is ready to take any specific shape. In this act of communion, the individual becomes copartner with the Eternal and gives birth to time, space, and conditions. A very important connection has long been recognized between faith and what may be called the cognitive freedom of the human mind in its relation to God. And not merely in works, but also in faith, has God preserved the will of humanity and free and under our own control. God is willing to appear openly to those who seek him with all their hearts, and to be hidden from those who flee from him with all their hearts, he so regulates the know of himself that he has given signs of himself, visible to those who seek him, and not to those who seek him not. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

God, having created human beings as personal, always acts toward humans in ways which respect and preserve human’s freedom and responsibility. For this reason, God does not reveal himself to human beings in his unveiled glory, for in a direct, unmediated awareness of infinite perfection human’s frail moral autonomy would be destroyed. Therefore, the divine presence is always mediated through the events and circumstances of a World which God has created to be relatively independent sphere of interactions with him human beings. Human’s personal autonomy is protected by the fact that we can become conscious of God’s activity toward us only by an uncompelled response of faith. Faith and belief in the communion of the soul with its source is becoming pronounced rather than a petition. Belief, faith and acceptance cause one to transcend the lesser good and ascend into that holy mount within where the eyes view the World as one vast plain and one boundless reach of sky. We should think on whatsoever things are true, lovely, and of good report; we should dwell on these things rather than on their apparent opposites. We must believe that there is a divine power awaiting our use. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

The Desire for Happiness is in this World!

Love is supposed to be the outcome of a spontaneous, emotional reaction, of suddenly being gripped by an irresistible feeling. To love somebody is not just a strong feeling—it is a decision, it is a judgment, it is a promise. If love were only a feeling, there would be no basis for the promise to love each other forever. A feeling comes and it may go. How can I judge that it will stay forever, when my act does not involve judgment and decision? Certain types of love are exclusively an act of will and commitment, and therefore fundamentally it does not matter who the two persons are. Whether the marriage was arranged by others, or the result of individual choice, once the marriage is concluded, that act of will should guarantee the continuation of love. We are all one—yet every one of us is unique, unduplicable entity. While it raises no objection to apply the concept of love to various objects, it is a widespread belief that, while it is virtuous to love other, it is sinful to love oneself. However, the Bible tells us to love others as we love ourselves. “Who could have supposed that our God would have been so merciful as to have snatched us from our awful, sinful, and polluted state (Alma 26.17)?” #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

If it is virtue to love my neighbor as a human being, it must be a virtue—and not a vice—to love myself, since I am a human being, too. It implies that respect for one’s own integrity and uniqueness, love for and understanding of one’s own self, cannot be separated from respect and love and understanding for another individual. The love for my own self is inseparably connected with the love for any other being. Love of others and love of ourselves are not alternative. An attitude of love toward oneself will be found in all those who are capable of living others. Genuine love is an expression of productiveness and implies care, respect, responsibility, and knowledge. “Cry unto God for all your support; let it be in the Lord; let all your thoughts be directed unto the Lord; let the affections of your heart be placed upon the Lord forever. Counsel with the Lord in all your doings, and he will direct you for good; when you lie down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when you rise in the morning let your heart be full of thanks unto God; and if you do these thing, you shall be lifted up at the last day (Alma 37.36-37).” #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

The desire for happiness is in this World. Love is not an affect in the sense of being affected by somebody, but an active striving for the growth and happiness of the loved person, rooted in one’s own capacity to love. Deeper than this psychic life is a spiritual intelligence which transcends even objective processes of reasoning, and it can distinguish between illusions and reality. Our subconscious reactions will coerce unless we control them, will cause us to believe all kinds of fantastic things unless reason sits in judgment. Therefore, we should be careful at all times to study any alleged revelation in the light of this truth, knowing as we do that one’s personal opinion may masquerade as any revelation which one’s unconscious desire may order, for the entire race thought is more or less active in all of us. Truth has been revealed—not only to give vitality to the belief, but to equip it with power and give it a performance which has been good. There is no God who holds one person superior to another. It is not the will of God that some people should be free while other are bound, since God is the author of freedom and not of bondage. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

You focus on the good in life, you can shake the negative emotions and patters. Spiritual power works through human beings at the level of our faith, and we find that throughout the ages faith has been honored. Most certainly some people’s prayers have been answered, but not all persons’ prayers have been answered in the way which they wished them to be answered. To love a person is the actualization and concentration of the power of love. The basic affirmation contained in love is directed toward the beloved person as an incarnation of essentially human qualities. Love of one person implies love of humans as such because if we love our family, but are without feeling for (a concern for the life of an unknown person) the stranger, that is a sign of a basic inability to love. Love of human beings is not, as is frequently supposed, an abstraction coming after the love for a specific person, but it is its premise, although genetically it is acquired in loving specific individual. More so, we must love ourselves as much as we love other people. The affirmation of one’s own life, happiness, growth, freedom is rooted in one’s capacity to love, in care, respect, responsibility, and knowledge. If an individual is able to love productively, one loves oneself too, if one can love only other, one cannot love at all. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

Most surely belief is a certain way of thinking; it is an activity of consciousness. Belief is a thing of thought, and being a thing of thought we can change belief. And if what a human being believes decides what is going to happen to one, the most important thing for one to do is regulate one’s belief so that what happens will be good for one, and one will be glad to have it happen, and joyously welcome it. No matter what we have suffered, God is the source of healing. Those who have experienced any manner of abuse, devastating loss, chronic illness or disabling affliction, untrue accusations, vicious persecution, or spiritual damage from sin or misunderstandings can all be made whole by God. We must come unto God and allow God to work his miracles. “And it did work for them according to their faith in God; therefore, if they had faith to believe that God could cause that those spindles should point the way they should go, behold, it was done; therefore, they had this miracle, and also many other miracles wrought by the power of God, day by day (Alma 37.40).” God is the source of peace, and he promises the peace, which passes all understanding, a feeling that comes with his spirit speaks peace to our souls no matter what challenges surround us. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

God is in Our Temple

Love for life are absolutely infectious. How often do you reflect that your covenants reach beyond morality and connect you to the Divine? Making covenants is the expression of a willing heart; keeping covenants, the expression of a faithful heart. Care and responsibility are absolutely necessary for the preservation of life and growth. Other aspects go even further than mere preservation. There is an attitude that instills love for the living, which gives one the feeling: it is good to be alive, it is good to be a human, it is good to be on this Earth! Altruism and unselfish character are considered the highest kind of love, and the most sacred of all emotional bonds. Love gives us a since of power and possession, as it provides us with a natural satisfaction and makes one feel connected to the community. Love requires unselfishness and we have to have the ability to give everything and to want nothing but the happiness of the loved one. “That which is of God invites and entices us to do good continually; and to love God, and to serve him (Moroni 7.13).” Covenants—or binding promises between us and Heavenly Father—are essential for our eternal progression. #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

We promise to love God with all our hearts and love our sisters and brothers as ourselves. In the temple, we further covenant to be obedient, selfless, faithful, honorable, charitable. Every time we reach out with love, patience, kindness, generosity, we express the relationship which exists between God and the individual. You are a child of Almighty God, created to grow, move forward, increase, and constantly break the barriers of the past and advance God’s Kingdom. If we can conceive of the Divine Being as already existing within us, no search is necessary. Instead of a search there is an unfoldment. Prayers, petitions, or attempts at communication with the Infinite is possible because God is omnipresent, and at the center of our own being. God is in our temple. Divine communication is more real and more beneficial when we believe in the indwelling spirit, when we believe that God’s work is already accomplished and perfect even though it is eternally unfolding. Moreover, God’s words have more power when we believe that they are power, and he endows them with power in such degree as he senses the divine presence in back of them. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

The inner testimony of the soul is real and valid. Covenants renew, invigorate, and refresh our souls. Who could deny the privilege of appreciating beauty? A higher altitude of thought will find a corresponding higher level of manifestation. A deep underlying sense of this spiritual Universe is necessary to the most effective form of mind healing. There is a field of reality higher than the intellect, and it uses the intellect as its instrument. Without feeling, nothing comes into being. We all have life events that, when we recall them year later, acquire new and important meaning. We are blessed with a great and noble heritage that offers a pathway to truth. Applied to mental healing, this means that the words we speak must have a deep meaning to us, and we must sense that behind them there is a power-seeking expression.  Words come from the heart, and are a gift from God. God spoke the World into being by the power of his words and we are in his image in part because of the power we have with words. Words do more than convey information. This power is infinitely greater than our intellect. Appreciation of human experience will be quickened rather than delayed through unity with this indwelling spirit. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

God has great things in store for his people; they ought to have great expectations. Our spiritual experiences reach high levels at sometimes than at others, and we should seek to being the inspiration of these moments of illumination into our daily living. Because are so blessed, it is also important that we learn and do our duty to God. It is important that we try to cease wars, end unhappiness, resolve economic problems, wipe poverty from the face of the Earth, and have a spirit of mutual helpfulness. We are not called upon to consider ourselves as unholy; we are neither conceived in sin nor shaped in iniquity. By fulfilling our responsibilities, we are given the opportunities to develop spiritually. God is a synonym for wholeness. The Kingdom of God is within you. This Kingdom is finished, complete, and perfect for eternity, but the manifestation of the Kingdom of God is the eternal activity of right ideas, law, order, truth, and beauty. To desire that the divine eternal shall project itself through our thought and makes our nature receptive to the greater side of our nature which lies open to the upper reaches of thought. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

Spirituality is beauty, invisible harmony, power, love, happiness, joy and enthusiasm, and the greater rhythm of life flows through everything. It is like the heat in fire, the colours in a prism. The author of peace cannot inspire confusion. God is the author of peace. Divine means love, beauty, harmony, and reason. God cannot be the author of confusion, he does not inspire humans to acts of destruction. In the pursuit of truth one seeks to wed oneself to reason, it is the source that will lead the soul to the alter of reality. We all have promised lands that we would like to go to, and we can have our own light in the World that challenges us. This light comes all wrapped up in love, the Lord’s love for every one of his children, and especially for young people. The Lord knows that we face challenges and temptations, and he provides the light that brightens our hearts, minds, and spirits. God has reported that his word is truth and truth is light. Light is the unity, goodness, and perfection of the supreme being. Prayer is what makes the connection with God’s power, which leads to loving and enlarging our own capacities. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

Love is an Attitude Toward the World

Love is not primarily a relationship to a specific person; it is an attitude, an orientation of character which determines the relatedness of a person to the World as a whole, not toward one object of life. I love you because you fulfill my expectations, because you do your duty, because you are like me. Obedience is the main virtue. People need unconditional love and care physiologically as well as psychically. It is important to use religion as an authority and guidance. God has the function of making us secure in life, teaching us, and guiding us to cope with the problems with which particular society we have been born into that confront us. God does not try to prevent us from growing up, and does not try to put a premium on helplessness. God wants us to have faith in life, so we are not overly stressed, and thus we do not infect others in our lives with chaos and dysfunction. Part of God’s wish is that we become independent, patient, and tolerant, rather than threatening and authoritarian. We should grow to have an increasing sense of competence in life and become our own authority. #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

There is no misdeed, no crime which could deprive us of God’s love, of his wish for our life and happiness. Mature people become free from the outside figures, and knows that all we need is the God inside of us. Love is an activity, a power of the soul. If we truly love one person, we love the World, we love life. We should have a sense of responsibility, care, respect, knowledge for other human beings as this attitude helps us to further our lives. The differences in talents, intelligence, and knowledge are all negligible in comparison with the identity of the human core common in all people. When we get emotionally and spiritually involved in helping a person who is in pain, a compassion enters our heart. It hurts, but the process lifts some of the pain from another. Sanctification takes place within our souls and we become more like our Savior. We should also learn to pause more often, in our daily lives, and learn to recognize the spirit of God. God is the all-powerful creator of the Universe. An invisible law of God is acting upon us. Once we recognize those feelings for what they are, our faith in them will increase. Soon we will find that we have developed a spiritual sixth sense which cannot be misled. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

The blind cannot lead the blind. However, alone with truth, one person can pass from weakness into strength, from fear into faith, from defeat into success, and even while we are still living we connect to a realization of everlasting life. We have come to this Earth at a glorious time. The opportunities before us are nearly limitless. Almost all of us live in comfortable homes, with loving families, adequate food, and sufficient clothing. Many of us also have access to amazing technological advances. We as individuals each have our own thoughts, feelings, hopes, aspirations, and desires, and each is directly and intimately connected with God, life, energy, and power. Each of us is a fountain of life.  God that dwells in us does the work. However, sometimes we become so frustrated with our little thoughts and fears and doubts that it makes it impossible for us to let God flow through us with the joy of life. Our problem is not with God, who is the river of life. Our trouble is with ourselves. When God puts a promise in your heart, we have to come to the place where we believe in that promise so strongly no one and no circumstance can move us. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

When the natural joy of life is unblocked it will flow freely through us and we shall become whole and happy. However, doubt, fear, uncertainty, anxiety, and a sense of insecurity can so congest our mental life that nothing good can get through. However, do not feel badly because you are not where you want to be right this minute. Do not focus on the disappointment, the failure, or the mistakes. They are all a part of God’s plan to prepare you for much bigger opportunities. Keep moving forward, being your best, honoring God, being determined and persistent, and God promises there is something rewarding in your future. We are born with a natural desire to express life. Clear your mind of everything that doubts the existence of God; live as though love is the great reality; bless and curse not, and then accept and let God release everything that belongs to us. He will bring out gift and talents we did not even know we had. God will provide new opportunities. God loves to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond. We have to be faithful day in and day out. Believe that you can break out of what is holding you back and become everything God created you to be. Incredible power is released when we believe. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

It is time for us to let go and let God. However, before God can do it we must clear our minds of everything that hinders his doing; we must keep our faith strong. We must look at ourselves and be honest. If we find anything in our thinking that denies life, let us clear it away. We can stop being afraid if we want to. We can stop having resentments. We can at once stop all unkindness, winnow out every doubt, and gain faith through the simple practice of learning to believe. Express joy today. Be happy. Bring gladness and enthusiasm into every experience of your life. Maintain a quiet confidence and peace and a sense of serenity. And be glad for the achievements of others and rejoice in their success. We can learn to love people if we wish to. It is this kind of thinking that allows God to flow through us, and brings laughter and joy into everything we do. It can bring health and freedom in place of sickness and bondage. It can bring abundance and prosperity where there might have been impoverishment. That is why we have to be certain to keep our faith in God. We must forgive, we must love, we must make others happy so that we ca draw the divine substance into our own lives. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

I Love Because I am Loved

Be true to the self, the root of evil lies in the innermost recesses of the mind. People should lobe each other for the sake of perfecting their mutual reality. God is omnipresent and omniscient. Through self-vigilance we have the ability to the realization of Heavenly reason in human life. The Heavenly order is to be reflected in the social one. We have a sense of indebtedness and we owe our gratitude to Heaven. The Earthly Lord, the parent, and the teacher is bound to foster obedience rather than self-assertiveness. The infinite mercy and forgiveness of God is beyond any and all conception. Think about the infant. At the moment of birth, he or she would feel the fear of dying, if gracious fate did not preserve it from awareness of the stress involved in separation from the womb. As the child grows, experience teach he or she that one is loved because they are their parents’ child, because they are helpless, and because the child is beautiful and admirable. The child is also loved because he or she is needed by the parents. This love is much like how God loves us. The love of God is unconditional. It is not arbitrary nor evanescent, nor is it parceled out to he deserving. God loves all of his children and is not limited by concepts, ideas, thoughts, nor languages, as he is present within the physical. #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

Earth and Heaven are endowed with intelligence, since they do the work of intelligent beings. When Earth lacks heat, Heaven sends it; when she has lost her freshness and moisture, Heaven restore it. All when need, God will provide. “I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, whose summons you by name (Isaiah 45.3). Prayer is a matter of the heart. When we pray, it is a new feeling of producing love by our own activity. This is how we show God that we are grateful, and joyful to be loved. Prayer is a sense of union, of sharing, of oneness with God. Prayer can provide the shield of protection that the parent will want so much for their children to have. The child who sees a mother or a father pass through the trials of life with fervent prayer to God and then hears a sincere testimony that God answered in kindness will remember the confirmation of God’s power, and when their trials come, they will be prepared. God has in himself all the power to defend you, all wisdom to direct you, all mercy to pardon you, all grace to enrich you, all righteousness to clothe you, all goodness to supply you, and all the happiness to crown you. Put your hopes and dreams in God’s hands and trust that they will come true. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

When we pray, we should ask God to write upon our heart his will, and God will be felt and reveal it to us. We will see light in the direction where we should go, and we will behold darkness in the direction we should not go. Sometimes we are silenced by an overpowering need to know what God wants. It is then that the answer from a loving Heavenly Father can be spoken to the mind by the still voice and can be written on the heart. So, if all things are possible through faith, why do w not have more faith? The certainties of the gospel, the truth, once one understands it, it will see you through these difficult times. And we shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasure. The Lord gave unto the faithful a promise that the destroying angel shall pass by them. Men must treasure and protect the masculine part of their nature. Men must have respectful, protective regard for all women and girls. Do not abuse yourself. Never allow others to touch your body in a way that would be unworthy, and do not touch anyone else in any unworthy way. We are all united with an invisible force which is creative, and we are already one with God, who can do anything. Our thoughts are powerful and can attract good to us or repel it from us. That is why proverbs 4.23 reports, “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life.” #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

We are surrounded by a creative mind which reacts to our thoughts. This is the basis of all faith and effective prayer. When we pray, we should believe we already have what we desire. Things are done unto us as we believe, which means there is a power that can, will, and must react to us. However, this power has no choice other than to react to us in the way we think. The power acts as a law operating on our beliefs. We must do what is required of us by law, morality, custom, or convention or even what we are commanded or requested to do by some appropriate authority. We are not to be fearful. Remember, the prayerful power of your spirit will protect you. Hope in God, his goodness, and his power refreshes us with courage during difficult challenges. Faith stabilizes our lives and has the power to fill our lives with happiness. Faith is a gift of the spirit, and leads to peace, mercy, rejoicing, and gladness. The foundation of our faith is an anchor to our souls, keeping us grounded in the reality of God. However, the adversary uses despair to bind hearts and minds in suffocating darkness. Despair drains from us all that is vibrant and joyful and leaves behind the empty remnants of what life was meant to be. Despair kills ambition, advances sickness, pollutes the souls, and deadens the heart. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

Despair can seem like a staircase that leads only and forever downward. Hope, on the other hand, is like the beam of Sunlight rising up and above the horizon of our present circumstances. It pierces the darkness with a brilliant dawn and encourages and inspires us to place our trust in the loving care of an eternal Heavenly Father, who has prepared a way for those who seek for eternal truth in a World of relativism, confusion, and fear. Our thought is like an image held in front of a mirror, it will reflect back to what we think. The part we play in our use of the power is greater than we are. We can change our thinking and in doing so cause the law of mind to act affirmatively for us instead of negatively. When our faith is in the good, it will obliterate evil. Good and evil are not equal powers. Good always overcomes evil. Therefore, keep thinking about peace and let confusion go. Affirm the good and forget the evil. By talking about God and reading the miracles in Bible and recognizing the power of God in our daily lives, we are preparing our minds to be thankful and pray affirmatively, which means we are praying effectively. We should have an abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill his promises to us. We should know that our prayers will be answered. Manifest confidence, optimism, enthusiasm with patient perseverance. We are loved because we love. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

Earth Fosters What Heaven Lets Fall

Earth fosters what Heaven lets fall. When the lightning of love has sprung into the hearts, know that there is love in that heart. Full knowledge lies in the act of love: this act transcends thought, it exceeds words. Love is overcoming human separateness, as the fulfillment of longing for the union. It is the polarity of the Earth and rain, of the river and the ocean, of night and day, of darkness and light, of matter and spirit. The clash of souls touches off the sparkles over the Winter Jasmine, we have been granted this privilege and begun to become so fresh. Psychological knowledge is a necessary condition for full knowledge in the act of love. We have to know ourselves and the other person objectively, in order to see their reality, or to overcome the illusions, the irrationally distorted image we have of them. Care, responsibility, respect, and knowledge are mutually independent. They are a syndrome of attitudes which are to be found in the mature person; that is, in the person who develops one’s own powers productively, who wants to have that which one has worked for, who only wants to have that which one has worked for, who had given up narcissistic dreams of omniscience, who has acquired humility based on the inner strength which only genuine productive activity can give.  #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

Common sense and science must be applied to religious and spiritual things as to everything else. When a person is weary, one loses their sense of pleasure and do not feel the enjoyment that one once felt. However, God says, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11.28-29).” Occasionally there is a time gap between the sacrifice and the blessings. The sacrifice may come according to our time schedule, but the blessing may not come by our, but by the Lord’s calendar. Still, the very first blessing coming from sacrifice is the joy that we can feel when we pay the price. Perhaps the very thought that the sacrifice itself could be a blessing becomes a sacred sign. When we have that kind of thought and feel the joy, we might have received a blessing already. True religion, true science, and true common sense should go hand in hand, together with that other subtle something which is the essence of feeling—that which is beyond words. God’s most striking victories arise out of the graves of apparent defeat. And the persistence and the fortitude that enable us to press on with cheerfulness through physical limitations and spiritual difficulties examples of things we can do through God. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

It is impossible, indeed, to separate works from faith, just as it is impossible to separate heat and light from fire. When love of God waxes in thy heart, beyond any doubt, God has love for you. Divine wisdom is destiny and decree sacredly sweet and makes life fraught with nectar and honey. The blessings will surely come to us. Please remember that sacrifice itself might be a form of blessing because we are laying the foundation for our futures through tireless work and learning the knowledge that will grant of the opportunity to receive and unexpected surprise. “Worship God in whatsoever place you may be in, in spirit and in truth; and have thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he does bestow upon you (Alma 35.38).” God is an inexhaustible fountain of being bringing existence to all the things that are by his continuous overflow. Life cannot produce death, the Universe holds nothing against us, and the gift of Heaven is eternally made, but still must be received. Science is helping us to receive this gift by allowing human beings to produce technology and perform miracles. Miracles are worked only by God and his specially deputed agents. All the comforts and the good that have come to modern life through science are not contradictions of nature, but rather they are affirmations of the limitless resource of life. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

The unequivocal definition of a miracle is things which are done by divine agency beyond the order commonly observed in nature (praeter ordinem communiter observatum in rebus). The interposition of divine power by which the operations of the ordinary course of nature are overruled, suspended, or modified. The very fact that trees can grown thousands of feet in their air is an affirmation that the Universe itself does not limit the growth of any being; it is just waiting for someone to perceive its possibility. Just like the Wright brothers perceived that travel by air is a possibility, one-day poverty will be wiped from the face of the Earth because conditions will change and as we cooperate with God and nature and law, we will proclaim the abundance that already exists. “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others (2 Corinthians 9.8).” I pray that we will all become Saints willing to sacrifice and become eligible for the Lord’s special blessing. The Lord will watch over us so that it will not be too difficult to endure any sacrifice. War will cease when people know that it is no longer desirable, and steadfastly maintain their position. From communion with God we will come to perceive the deeper reality, the broader sharing in human experience. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

There is power for good in the Universe. God will allow us to have the technology to cure all aliments. Cancer and other diseases and viruses will be wiped from the face of the Earth as science, religion, sense and the philosophy of spiritual truth take the place of lack and limitation, ignorance, superstition, fear, and confusion. The tender mercies and compassion of the Lord are available to all of us. We are here to better understand our very personal and individualized blessings, strength, protection, assurances, guidance, loving-kindness, consolation, support, and spiritual gifts which we receiver from God. God is breaking down barriers of race consciousness, which are the accumulated effects of misconceptions, and removing the morbid fears of the Universe. It takes time to change the thoughts of the whole World, and we have to start by changing our reactions to life, and by building a strong barrier in our own consciousness against everything that denies God. This will help to free thing whole human race from the bondage of fears, ignorance, superstition, and thoughts based on what the past has brought forth. Repentance and forgiveness of sins and peace of conscience are examples of the tender mercies and compassion of the Lord. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

The Flamingo of Faith

Love implies care. There are covenants which bind, seal, and safeguard and give promise of eternal blessings. The love between adults refers mainly to the psychic needs of the other person. Love is the active concern for the life and the growth of that which we love.  Love is a feeling of deep devotion, concern, and affection. By serving and forgiving others with real love, we can be healed and receive the strength to overcome our challenges. Where this active concern is lacking, there is no love. Care and concern imply another aspect of love; that of responsibility. God gave us the commandment to do something more, something greater, and something divine. We are taught to love others as God has loved us. The spirit and the body are the soul of human beings, and there are spiritual and physical laws to respect and obey if we are to be happy. There are eternal laws, including laws relating to this power of life. Respect is not fear and awe; it denotes, in accordance with the root of the word (respicere = to look at), the ability to see a person as he or she is, to be aware of one’s unique individuality. Respect means the concern that the other person should grown and unfold as the individual is. Respect, thus, implies the absence of exploitation. #RandolphHarris 1 of 5

Even as we seek to be meek and to avoid contention, we must not compromise nor dilute our commitment to the truths we understand. We must not surrender our positions or our values. Knowledge has one more, and a more fundamental, relation to the notion of love. The further we reach into the depth of our being, or someone else’s being, the more we have the desire to know the secret of the soul. We should have a deep realization of the divine presence, and out of the spiritual power generated in this realization, a loving kindness manifests. Expression of truth grasps the whole necessity of things and becomes identical with the infinita idea Dei (infinite idea of God). Freed from all those passions which dominated one’s actions, the more we are disposed to look with compassion on perishing souls; we feel that we want to take them upon our shoulders, and cast their sins behind our backs. The permanence of the great moral truths depends on the voice of God in the human heart. The essence of love pours the spirit of joy upon all occasions. The word of God is the presence, power, and activity of the infinite mind of God. Infinite intelligence governs, guides, directs, sustains and animates our lives. The infinite mind knows no mistake. It is never discouraged. #RandolphHarris 2 of 5

Be influenced by the infinite mind of God. Let it remove all belief in fear discouragement, disappointment or failure from consciousness. We are forever supplied with every good thing, forever happy, radiant, well and complete. Let the scripture establish the law of wholeness and harmony throughout your entire being and in everything we do, say, or think. Life represents that which knows no limitation, is forever manifesting complete joy and freedom through our beings. The spirit of God daily provides us with everything necessary to our happiness, to our wholeness, and to our complete expression. The feeling of light is the feeling of love and safety. Many of us have different experiences, and the Heavenly Father understands us individually. He knows how to love each of us in the way we most need it. Sometimes we feel his love through the people in our lives. At other times we feel it through music and hugs, through scriptures and prays. God encircles us in his light when we need it because we are his children. Having the love of God always in our hearts gives us confidence to live. It is important to be in places where we can feel the light of God’s love. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

What God has destined for your life will come to fulfillment. God is going to increase your influence as you increase your faith. God will make you a barrier breaker by taking you to a new level of our destiny. We are children of God and have a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers our prayers. God wants us to be worthy to return and live with him someday. Knowing this can help our plans for our Earthly and eternal future with a brightness of hope. The infinite intelligence which sustains all things, and the perfect law which holds everything in its proper place, governs our life and action. We show we know by living the commandment to love one another. Our whole being responds to joy, peace, truth and abundance. Only that which is good can enter our experience. Let the state of happiness, health, and prosperity immediately spring into action and manifest through us, and know that the spirit is in our lives and is always complete, perfect, and enduring. Every organ, action, and function of our physical beings represents this divine and perfect life, manifesting within us. We are aware of our partnerships with God and know that everything which we do shall prosper. Know that it is done, accept it, and believe it. #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

It seems as though we were born to be superstitious, because we all inherit the legacy of the entire human history. Neurotic and morbid thought patterns will repeat themselves with monotonous regularity throughout life unless they are changed.  Nothing is ever wasted in the Kingdom of God. Not one tear, not all our pain, nor unanswered questions nor the seemingly unanswered prayers. Nothing will be wasted if we give our lives to God. And if we are willing to be patient until the grace of God is made manifest, it will be worth the wait. In the coming days, God will bring opportunities for you to increase. Dare to take those steps of faith. At one time it was thought it would be impossible to cultivate the desert and places that has been ravaged, and make them productive. The thought was that it was unnatural, and so it could be done. However, some person had the courage to go ahead and make the attempt, and he was successful because he was complying with the laws of nature. A desert metropolis built on finance, celebrity, entertainment and opulence because what is known as Las Vegas, Nevada USA thanks mostly to the vision of Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky who opened the swanky Hollywood style resort called the Flamingo. Therefore, whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right. Have faith. #RandolphHarris 5 of 5

We Cannot Escape Love–See the Spirit, Soul, and Attitude as the Real Human Being

Activity of the soul is possible only under the condition of inner freedom and independence. Humans are free, the master of their affect. Love is an action, the practice of a human power, which can be practiced only in freedom and never as the result of a compulsion. God will take what is meant for your harm and use it to your advantage. You will not only come out of the difficult times, you will also come out better, stronger, and increased, with twice the joy, peace and success. It is believed that in the 13th century, God said: I have given you, Adam, neither a predetermined place nor a particular aspect nor any special prerogatives in order that you may take and possess these through your own decision and choice. The limitations on the nature of other creatures are contained within my prescribed laws. You shall determine your own nature without constraint from any barrier, by means of the freedom to whose power I have entrusted you. I have placed you at the center of the World so that from that point you might see better what is in the World. I have made you neither Heavenly nor Earthly, neither mortal nor immortal so that, like free and sovereign artificer, you might mold and fashion yourself into that form your yourself shall have chosen. #RandolphHarris 1 of 6

Some people think that it is painful to give, and that one should give; the virtue of them lies in the very act of acceptance of the sacrifice. For them, the norm that it is better to give than to receive means that it is better to suffer deprivation than to experience joy. However, giving have an entirely different meaning. Giving is the highest expression of potency. In the very act of giving, we experience our strength, wealth, and power. This experience of heightened vitality and potency fills us with joy, as long as we have the means to give. When we can, sharing with others can be more joyous than receiving not because it is deprivation, but because in the act of giving lies the expression of our aliveness. It is nice to be able to share gifts with others because it helps them to experience joy. All through the scriptures, the expectation is expressed by the Lord to believe, repent, obey the ordinances, walk in the light of Spirit, endure in faith. Also, manifest your personality to express civility, tender compassion, kindness and consideration, patience, forbearance and refusal to condemn. Show others the forgiveness and mercy that you would like to receive. Live peaceably with all people. Walk honestly, and be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. #RandolphHarris 2 of 6

Owe no one anything, but to love one another; for one that loves another has fulfilled the law. The power that creates exists before we use it. However, it can give us only that which we mentally take, and often our unbelief becomes our acceptance, our fear a misplaced faith. We bind ourselves by the very power which could as quickly free us. The day will come when after harnessing the ether, the winds, the tides, gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. We should increase our receptivity and have a greater faith, if we wish to experience a larger degree of livingness. Our will of acceptance must be held up so that the outpouring of spirit may be measured into our individual experience. It is self-evident that the Creative Spirit must express itself in the terms of the instrument through which it flows. So far as we are concerned, this instrument is faith, belief, acceptance. We should lift our thought upon the cross of unity here, where the winds of God blow free, accept the divine givingness and the divine forgiveness, which are eternal in the nature of reality. By speaking and learning about God, we will be suffused with the warmth of his loving heart. #RandolphHarris 3 of 6

Certainly the day is here when, if we are to follow in God’s paths, we must take the weary, lonely, depressed, the troubled soul, and be lifted up and helped. How beautiful in the eyes of the Lord are the spiritually well, those who have been taken by the hand and lifted up and made spiritually whole. How beautiful in the eyes of the Lord are those who take the time to life the needy hand. Peace of mind only comes to us when we are spiritually healed. True joy comes from within. Freedom from a troubled soul is a worthy goal of all. All treatment is for the purpose of stimulating an interior awareness. Spiritual power awaits our recognition, and divine guidance our consent. The spirit flows through us as an outlet for its own self-expression. To dwell upon lack is to create it. To think of disease is to perpetuate it. To remain unhappy is to attract more unhappiness. Deliberately we must turn from that which hurts. The Law of the Mind states that thoughts held in mind produce after their kind. A single thought will neither make nor break a life; but a habit of thought will. One cannot think defeat and be victorious. The subconscious mind responds only to mental images. It does not matter if the image is self-induced or from the external World. #RandolphHarris 4 of 6

Healing comes through conversation to truth and adherence to correct principles. Therefore, the Law of the Mind exists in a formless state and can only take the form for us which our thought gives it. When we think within ourselves, we think upon it; when we direct our thought, we are directing it. It is in this way that our word becomes the law unto that thing where unto it is spoken. “For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being (Romans 7.22).” The manifestation of God is the light bringer of the World. His outpouring of spirit into creation has universal effects. God will shine upon the World of spirits, of thoughts, and hearts. Then the spiritual awakening and a new life appear, the power of the wonderful blessings of God becomes visible, and marvelous benefits are apparent. There is a further development of consciousness and society in this progressive revelation. We should sense this power which is at the point of our word, and believe and understand the spiritual nature of things. We must believe that love, goodness, truth and beauty are at the center of everything, therefore at the center of the person, the condition or situation which we designate in our treatment. We must believe that love is God, infinite, eternal and ever present. #RandolphHarris 5 of 6

We cannot escape love. We exist in love and are one with it. We live by and through love. Love motivates our entire thought, purpose, plan and action. Everything we see, we see with the eyes of love. Everything we hear, we hear with the ears of love. We see God everywhere, wherever we look, we see God, wherever we go, we find God. God manifestation is the theme of spiritual reality. It is that all embracing doctrine that describes the eternal purpose God has given humankind upon the Earth. God is one, he is a unity—that is one of the first principles of truth. God is the one source of all power and creation in the Universe and without God there is no life. Our business is God’s business and God’s business is our business, which is the business of life. We do not deny the physical Universe; we affirm that it is mind in form. The physical body exists that the soul may function on this plane. Body is not an unreality; quite the reverse. It is a divine and perfect reality when rightly understood. Many people are healed physically, mentally, and spiritually through faith in God. The healing of the troubled soul gives health and strength to those focused on righteous things. Purity, faith, hope, and charity are restored. #RandolphHarris 6 of 6
