There is no God who tries people’s souls or beats them over the head with a cosmic club, seeing how much they can endure. There is no sin but a mistake, and no punishment but a consequence. By the same measures, virtue is its own reward. The Universal law of cause and effect states that for every effect there is a definite cause, likewise for every cause, there is a definite effect. One’s thoughts, behaviors, and actions create specific effects that manifest and create our life as we know it. There is a deep conviction concerning one of the most sacred and significant principles in our Heavenly Father’s plan for his children, and we should express appreciation and admiration for so many who so willingly and unselfishly manifest this principle in the way they live. Every person must reap as one shows. The Will of God is toward peace and joy, and if the nature of God is identical with this will, then the law of God, which is also the nature of God executing the will of God, is toward joy and happiness. As a result, when we begin to think joy and happiness they will rush to us, claiming us as their own. The most beautiful thought of all is that when we redirect our energy into a constructive channel, our negative experiences will be terminated, and a new use of the law is put into effect. Every moment that a person is unhappy and unexpressed, one is tearing down one’s personality. The moment an individual becomes inwardly contented, one begins to build it up again. The will of God is toward the more abundant life because that life expresses God. The life that is cramped, warped, timid, and fearful does not express the divine being so completely as the freedom of expression of the soul, which pronounces God’s work to be good, announcing through every experience the greatness of self-expression. Religion is not a thing apart from life. It is not principles and ordinances or missionary work or leadership as an end in themselves. It is manifested by the kind of people we are, by our relationship with our Heavenly Father and all of the commandments, by the measure in which we qualify for the approval of our own spirit. May the Holy Ghost amplify these words and bestow upon them additional meaning, insight, and inspiration. We do not honor God by being poor, weak, and unhappy, nor do we limit God by such experiences. What we do in our negative state is redirect our blessings or delay them. #RandolphHarrris 2 of 5

We know that sometimes it can be difficult to keep our heads above water. In fact, in our World of change, challenges, and checklists, sometimes it can seem nearly impossible to avoid feeling overwhelmed by emotions of suffering and sorrow. In all of our lives, there are real concerns. There are hearts here today that harbor deep sorrows. Many wrestle with fears that trouble the soul. For some, loneliness is their secret trial. However, know that God loves his children and that he plans to being eternal life to all of us. Heavenly Father is able to accomplish great goals—immortality and eternal life of human beings—because he is a God of creation and compassion. Creating and being compassionate are two objectives that contribute to our Heavenly Father’s perfect happiness. Creating and bring compassionate are two activities that we as God’s spirit children can and should emulate. There is only one final energy, just as there in only one final mind. This final mind and this final energy are always manifesting through us at the level of our consciousness of life and our comprehension of its meaning; hence the importance of re-educating the mind to a more direct perception of its relationship to God. #RandolphHarris 3 of 5

We must, however, be prepared in this World to captivate our understanding to the words; and not to labour in sifting out a philosophical truth by logic, of such mysteries as are not comprehensible, nor fail under any rule of natural science. Reason should be kept very much to the fore when one is confronted with those who claim revelation, for is a person says God spoke to them in a dream, this is no more than to say that one dreamed that God spoke to that individual. There are psychological explanations of such phenomena that cast doubts on their reliability as valid communications with God. Dreams, visions, and inspiration, however, should not be dismissed altogether, for it is by such means that prophets have been informed of the will of God. Freedom from bondage is a thing which we must inwardly perceive. This perception is the greatest of all perceptions. Creation brings deep satisfaction and fulfillment. We develop ourselves and others when we take unorganized matter into our hands and mold it into something of beauty. Remember that you are spirit children of the most creative being in the Universe. Is it not remarkable to think that our very spirits are fashioned by an endlessly creative and eternally compassionate God? #RandolphHarris 4 of 5

Your spirit body is a masterpiece, created with a beauty, function, and capacity beyond imagination. Through every subtlety, by every illusion, by the logic of human experience, we are led from reality into our dream of separation. It takes resolute thought, a poised mind, and a confidence in the supremacy of God and in the omnipotence of his law. If the truth about God is happiness, joy, self-expression, and abundance, then this is the truth we should seek to demonstrate in our own lives. This is done by knowing that every thought within us abounds with peace, partakes of the divine bounty, and includes the idea of unity, and is filled with eternal light. We are created with the express purpose and potential of experiencing a fullness of joy. Our birthright—and the purpose of our great voyage on this Earth—is to seek and experience eternal happiness. We all have talents and gifts, every one of us. Creation means bringing into existence something that did not exist before—colourful gardens, harmonious houses, family memories, and flowing laughter. Do not let fear of failure discourage you. The more we trust and rely upon the spirit of God, the greater our capacity to create.
