The Incongruous Monster—the Public

Happy days 111

No offense, but black people need to learn to be quiet, many professional blacks and white also agree. Not only do I want peace, but I want respect. I am respectful of others and kind and expect the same in return. Just yesterday, I was walking, in Midtown, Sacramento and I passed by all of these high rises, one of them was a senior complex, for mature adults, who like peace, and they offer below market rate rents—I was thinking to myself, if I have to live in an apartment, I would not mind living here. The senior apartments are quiet, clean, and you do not see anyone hanging out. I would fit right in! However, I am far too young to move into a senior housing facility. So after taking pictures of the views and walking around, for an hour and a half, I made it back to my apartment, which was quiet, cooked dinner and watched the news. I was so tired that I did not want to go to bed, I just sat on the couch, and sent out a tweet saying, “I am so tired, but I do not want to go to bed, I just want to sit here and enjoy the silence.” About 1am, I finally got up off the couch and went to bed. It was hot, but you know how Kristina is about that air conditioner, she likes people to open the windows and get fresh air, so I did. Nonetheless, I was awaken by the sounds of the hood, at 7am, women outside all excited and being loud and carrying on conversations. I stayed in bed and tried to sleep. These women were so loud that they invaded my dream and I was dreaming about them, then I woke. My neighbor gets home and he is loud. However, it was 11am by that time, but still, all of this loud noise and these unprofessional people are a culture shock to me. Then it dawned on me, they must have gotten paid, it must be the first of the month because from about the 15th to the end of the month, it is dead silent, but as soon as these people get paid, they are outside keeping up a ruckus!

So I called my mother to vent my frustrations, and she told me to get ear plugs. Then she reminded me that Bone Thugs N Harmony made a song called, The First of the Month. “Wake up, wake up, wake up it’s the 1st of the month, so get up, get up, get up so cash your checks and come on. Hey my bro we havin’ a wonderful day and they won’t (expletive) with me. Why? ‘Cause it’s the 1st of the month and now we smokin’, chokin’, rollin’ blunts, and sippin’ on 40 ounces, thuggin’. Wake up and I see that my sister is already dressed, she said “I’m gonna run and go get my stamps. Watch and make sure no one snatches my check!” Brotha that’s the mailman, sort through the mail and put it up in my pocket,” these are just an excerpt of the lyrics, and they ring true. On the first of the month, a lot of people, who are on government assistants or welfare, work of the state or teach, no matter what culture they are, they get up early in the morning and make a lot of noise on the first of each month, it is like a party for them, and they celebrate, until they go broke, which is about the 15th of the month, and then things settle down again. So, I get up and get in the elevator, and when it opens up to the lobby, it is a full house. The young females setting there, talking quietly, looking all cute, their hair just got done and they got hot summer outfits on. Another female just got off work and is feeding her baby, and then am greeted by one of the guys, who makes us coffee, in the morning. I walk out the front door and an old white man is sitting there with a gallon of cheap vodka, in a plastic bottle. So I go back upstairs, and leave my door open because I was in a hurry, my neighbor comes up to me and says, “Look at you, got the door all open and the air conditioner on like you live in the suburbs.” I reply, I know, I wish I did, I cannot wait to move back. He then says, “Me too, I hate it here, people get bed bugs and there are all kind of weirdos in Midtown.” What we are experiencing is called culture shock.

frustrated-at-work

Culture shock is the feeling of confusion and disorientation that occur when an individual encounters a very different culture. Some people may have a culture that is radically different than yours, and it has a powerful impact on their thoughts and behavior. Their approach to reality is drastically different than yours. You know, some of us were raised to behave and be quiet and work, and make your home a place of peace and love. I am kind of old fashion, in a sense that I do not like to see people outside hanging out, especially not during work hours. I like it to be peaceful early in the morning, throughout the day and late at night. I do not like random people calling me and I do not like unexpected guest. I get very frustrated when people knock on my door, unexpectedly, because I am usually busy or sleeping. And my sleeping patterns vary; I do not sleep much, so when I am disturbed, I get very upset. Of course, with globalization, people no longer have to travel abroad to discover surprising diversity in food, dress, and other customs of one’s neighbor’s. In Queens, New York , for example, an estimated 138 languages are spoken and the Queens area has become so diverse that no matter whatever your ethnic background is, you are underrepresented. New arrivals in the United States of America are often confused and dismayed by many aspects of the American life—especially family life and parent-child relations. In extreme cases, such encounters may produce what sociologist call culture shock. However, if we carefully observe another culture, we realize that the same things that cause us culture shock and confusion provide order, security, identity, and meaning to other individuals of that culture. The idea of respect and fair exchange is just dead, so many are out to hustle you and see what they can get out of you, so be careful. Just remember, the agitation of the mind baffles all the power of medicine, and till the mind is relieved, the body can never be restored, and there is nothing so difficult as to manage the public mind.

Income Rising and Earth Rising—Income Inequality Rising

Harris 047

Whether you have a keener eye for wild creatures’ behavior than for the behavior of that theoretically domesticated creature, man, is an interesting question. Political corruption sometimes seems too big a problem for any individual or group to tackle. White collar criminals, dirty politics, and scandalous business practices have been around for a long time. Fear of using our rights, as well as ignorance of the channels open to individuals, still keeps most ordinary citizens from acting to solve such issues. Yet, as groups like Common Cause, Nader’s Raiders, Occupy Walls Street, the Tea Party, and the NAACP have shown, concerned individuals can bring political and/or economic pressures to bear and clean up corrupt individuals and institutions. Not only politics, but also the air, water, soil, and spaces around us are filled with pollutants. Well, environmental pollution is ultimately caused by human attitudes and assumptions. As a society, the vehemence to milk the technological cow, the community has often failed to take a long-range look at the possible side effects and unwanted consequences of progress. It is not that technology has failed to plan, but that it has failed to plan for more than immediate advantage and profit, in response to public demand. For example, Sacramento, California has done a great job of increasing the population of the state, but the infrastructure and jobs are seriously lacking. Many of the roads in Sacramento, California are too small for new full sized vehicles, there are pot holes in the streets, congestion on the highway, and there is a 7 percent unemployment rate. Also, the sale of new homes is down by two percent and more people are buying existing home, as the new home average about $334,000.00, but a preexisting home is usually about $100,000.00 less.

Speaking of technology, the computer is 75 years old and was actually invented to crack codes. However, more wealthy people became interested in other uses for the computer and they eventually were adapted for person use, such as typing documents, watching movies, listening to music, making movies and searching the internet. Rich people actually help the rest of society get technology because they can afford to buy it when technology is new and expensive, and as the product start to flood the market, they become less expensive and the average citizen can afford them. The smart phone is being called the greatest equalizer of modern times. By the end of the decade, experts are optimistically predicting that everyone will have a smart phone, which is basically a hand held computer and phone, all in one. There is already a $35 smart phone in India. However, technology has been able to bring down the cost of everything, but health care, education and government. Experts are reporting that health care, education, and government suffer from cost disease, but as technology is driving down prices for everything else, health care, education and government keeps getting more and more expensive to operate. These specialists also reporting that online education is a great way to reach inner city children, who do not have the books, supplies or transportation to get to school and may have teachers, who do not care; online education would help these students, as they would be able to learn, in a good environment and education is one way to eradicate poverty. And to really understand people, and do business with them, you must understand their culture, and do not make assumptions. Different cultures are unique.

Harris 053

Everyone should be able to get housing, health care, and transportation without bankrupting themselves or the country. Inflation has been high by most measures, in the recent decade, and wage growth, for the majority of employees, has been even lower, if not declining. The average skilled worker, with a college degree, should be making about $34 an hour. That is if we were keeping up with inflation. However, only the top 20 percent of people, in America, even make $29.54 an hour. That means even small amounts of inflation have been agonizing for the other 80 percent of people in the labor market, as only workers, in the 90th percentile, and up have seen their wage gains outpace inflation, though not by much. The Dow Jones is in record regions, soaring about 17,000 and doing really well, but that is a reflection of corporate America, and not the citizens. The poor performance of wages, in recent decades, is because America has exported so many jobs, overseas, and started buying products from these foreign countries, so American dollars are being spend all over the world, but we are not getting anything in return, but stuff. No jobs, no cash, just new Nike’s, smart phones, Toyota, and other products. And the public simply wants to consumer and keep buying new things—they want more and more cars. These require roadways, freeways; they eat up land and displace houses. The increase in vehicles produces air pollution. However, even in today’s smoggy atmosphere, few people are willing to give up their freedom and autonomy associated with automobiles.

Harris 043

The public is going to have to take a stand and be uncomfortable, at some point; the discomfort will only be temporary. We all belong to the family of humankind. Men, women and children are a part of nature, not apart from nature. Natural resources and inanimate energy are increasingly regarded as affected with a public interest. If this is not sound and moral doctrine, I do not know what is. Certainly the resources were left by the Universe or geology to mankind and not to the Standard Oil Company of California or Avian. The loss of water, since last year, is equivalent to the annual loss from the Greenland Ice Sheet and since 2000, seven states have experienced their driest periods in centuries and scientists have warned the drought could last up to 100 years. Gas prices have come down, but are still at an all-time high, and in the Western United States of America drought: 63 trillion gallons of groundwater lost, and the surface of the Earth is rising. The Earth, on average, has lifted up about 0.16 inches over the last 18 months. Sierra Nevada Mountains and California coastal regions, they have risen up by over half an inch. However there is apparently no increased risk of earthquakes. Therefore, with the presented information, it is clear that individual households must give and take not only for his advantage, but for the welfare of other members of the household in mind. People who would not cheat their relatives think nothing of cheating strangers. However, every stranger is intricately and important related to each of us in the larger spider web of humanity. I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply cannot build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusions, misery, and death. I see the World gradually being turned into a wilderness. I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquility will return again.

Are Your Employees Really Working or Blogging?

2014-08-27_2027

Randolph Harris (HarrisReports) on Twitter

The agitation of the mind baffles all the power of medicine, and till the mind is relieved, the body can never be restored. It is impossible to study the human frame without a little studying the human mind. You hear some employees complaining that their computers are slowing them down, or not moving fast enough, and they are upset about how much of their time the computer waste because their are other projects an employee can be working on. However, there is another side to this story. While some are hard at work, and trying to make their computers run faster, others are doing something else–stealing company time. I supposed there are somethings you just do not need to know, I suppose. I am just spying on them to see how they waste their time daily. Employers complain that $3 Billion a year is being wasted because employees are not using their time wisely. I would recommend that managers and CEOs monitor internet usage of their corporations…Many of your employees are only pretending to be hard at work, at the computer, several of them are working hard on personal blogs and basically stealing from your company. Basically, a lot of employees are using blogging to hide the fact they are on social media chit chatting, during work hours. These employees are smart enough to not use their own names when they create the blog, or their pictures so they do not get caught. You think your employee is typing a document in work, but they are working on a blog and it is sometimes hard to tell. You managers and CEOs already know what facebook and twitter looks like, so employees have friends on blogging sites and they chat all day long, and when you come by, it looks as if they are really typing a document in word, when they are horsing around on company time. The imprudence of our thoughts recoils upon our heads.

Operation Ghetto Storm—Justice is Relative

Even justice makes it victims. There is a war going on in America, and the police are the army here to fight it. With the brutal slaying of Michael Brown, in Ferguson, Missouri, by a police officer and other African American men like Eric Garner (age 43) of Staten Island, New York, on 17 July 2014, for allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes, John Crawford (age22) of Beavercreek, Ohio was shot and killed by police on 5 August 2014. And Ezell Ford (age 25), of Los Angeles, California on 11 August 2014 after the police stopped him to do an investigative search, and Dante Parker (age 36), of Victorville, California was shot and killed by police on 12 August 2014 because he was found by a bike that was suspected of being stolen, had no criminal record and the police teased him, several times, until he stopped breathing; many are wondering are European American men also seemingly hunted and killed by the police? Well, apparently, there is no national data base, which keeps track of the police shootings and demographics, but it is estimated that police kill about 500 to 1,000 people each year.

Since 11 September 2014, United States police officers have killed over 5,000 citizens. Here are a few cases of European American men killed by police. In 2008, Joseph Jennings (age 18) was shot 16 times and killed by police because he was armed with a gun and had been reported twice. When police made contact with the suspect, he was located in a parking lot, where they executed him. Police report that Joseph Jennings wanted to commit suicide by cop. In another story, Dillon Taylor (age 20) was shot and killed by a man being describes as a “Not white” cop. On 11 August 2014, it was reported that a man was waving a gun around, in the parking lot of a convenience store. When officers arrived, three men were leaving the store and Dillon Taylor fit the description of the suspect, witness report that Dillon Taylor was wear head phones and was shot as he was pulling his pants up. It was later uncovered that Dillon Taylor had a $25,000 bench warrant for a probation violation in connection with felony robbery and obstructing justice convictions.

Christopher Roupe (age 17), another white male, was shot by a Euharlee police officer in Bartow County, Georgia, on 14 February 2014. The police report that Christopher Roupe answered, while they were going to execute a probation violation warrant against his father, police report that Christopher Roupe pointed a gun, at the female officer, and she then shot him in the chest, killing him. The lawyer for Christopher Roupe report that he actually answered the door with a video game joy stick, not a gun. James Whitehead (age 29) was shot and killed by an off duty police officer, in Organe, Texas, 26 July 2013. The officer was African American, and was in a store with James Whitehead, as James was trying to return an item. James Whitehead became in raged and an altercation ensued between the cashier and James Whitehead. Off-duty Police Captain, Robert Arnold, intervened and the altercation ended up outside, James Whitehead was later shot and killed. So white men are shot and killed by police, too.

However, the problem is that one black man is killed every 28 hours by police or vigilantes. The reason there is so much outrage over black homicide by police is because it happens so often and also because of the history of this country. Most Africans were brought to America as slaves. 100 million Africans were stolen from Africa and redistributed around the World. Nonetheless, only about 10 million survived. This outrage over Mike Brown is not just directed at the police, it is directed at all of America because of how they discriminated against, and disrespect black men. People treat black men like they are worthless, invincible and look at them all as criminals. The only way to cure racism is to discuss it. Nonetheless, it is also important to look at why police are so defensive. In 2012, 48 police officers were feloniously killed, another 47 law enforcement officers died, as the result of accidents that occurred, in the line of duty. Law enforcement agencies also reported that 52,901 officers were assaulted while performing their duties in 2012. In 2012, 1 officer with the U.S. Department of the Interior was killed in the line of duty.

In addition, 1,857 federal law enforcement officers were assaulted. Of these officers, 206 were injured. Therefore, that is why police are so defensive when it comes to aggressive suspects. Therefore, if you have an encounter with the police, please at like they are your grandmother, be polite, listen to them, follow directs, and show them as much respect as you can to avoid any conflict. Some people are angry and aggressive and so are some suspects. Do whatever you can to save your life because having a bad attitude or moving suddenly could lead to your death. Police are human, too and they can and do make mistakes. Also, never play with guns or replica guns. Offended justice is diligent in detecting the breakers of her law. There is no such thing as moral responsibility for past acts, no such thing as real justice in punishing them, for the reason that human beings are not stationary existences, but charging, growing, and increasantly progressive organisms, which in no two moments are the same. Therefore, justice, whose only possible mode of proceeding is to punish in present time for what is done in past time, must always punish a person more or less similar to, but never identical with, the one who committed the offense, and therein must be no justice.

A World of Our Own—Must End Poverty in America

A good mind ought to be incited and a bad mind restrained. A virtuous mind soon finds consolation is itself. Miracles seem impossible, just because they break the laws of Nature. There seems something blasphemous in supposing the Universe can mar ITS own order. The misery that overspreads so vastly a part of mankind exists chiefly because those are able to relieve it do not know that it exists. To love and live well is wished of many, but incident to few. To live and to love well is incident to few, but indifferent to all. To love without reason is an argument of lust, to live without love, a token of folly. The measure of love is to have no mean, the end to be everlasting. There is nothing in lobe more requisite or more delectable than pleasant and wise conference; neither can there arise any storm in love which by wit is not turned into a calm. Tender love maketh greatest show of blossoms, but tried love bringeth forth sweetest juice. If we want to understand the dark forces within ourselves, we must give up the haughty idea that we are unique in all creation. Just as every part of your body is interrelated with every other part, so each of us is interrelated and integrated into the larger human system—the society which we are a part of. And, by extension, each society is directly related to every other one, as nation is to nation, continent to continent. The entire planet can be seen ultimately as a gigantic network or web of interwoven parts. One thing you learn when you study your first spider web is that a slight pressure on any single strand of that web is felt everywhere on it. That is how the spider uses her web: when a bit of food lands there and becomes stuck in the sticky coatings, vibrations travel all along the network, and whenever the spider lies in watchful waiting, it picks up these vibrations and gets the message.

So it is in the network of human experiences: pressure on any part of it affects the rest of the web. An earthquake in Napa, California affects individuals the World over, as does a war in Ferguson, Missouri or Stockton, California, as the political-religious conflict going on in the State Capitol in Sacramento with the arrested of four Democratic Senator’s this year: Ben Hueso (DUI), Leland Yee (Corruption, guns, murder for hire in an FBI affidavit in support of a criminal complaint against him and 25 other people.), Ron Calderon (taking bribes in exchange for government acts), and Rod Wright (was convicted of perjury and voter fraud for lying about his legal residence in Los Angeles County) and the ethnic unrest all around the World. The network ties each particle of humankind to every other particle. There are virtually no dark or hidden groups of human life on the globe. When stone age tribes are discovered, in Stockton, California, it is only a matter of time until the entire World knows about them, and information gleaned from studying their lives provides insight to every culture and nation in the World. This sort of interrelatedness has its disadvantages. Communications media have literally shrunk the distances between individuals and peoples. A decreasing amount of privacy is available to each of us. Is this lack of privacy important? We think so. People drive enormous please from involvement with each other, but each of us also need time apart, time alone. Our own personal lives are in need of development just as much as our social lives. If privacy is eliminated, what happens to the interior World of each of us? What happens to meditation, introspection, self-study, to contact with oneself? These must not be lost in the patterns of growth and ever-increasing interinvolvement. Does that confuse and complicate the situation even more? It should not surprise you. Among the perennial and essential human dilemmas is this each of us must somehow find ways of developing our own life, gaining personal growth and depth, reaping advantages for ourselves—while still cultivating a healthy, outgoing, cooperative, and caring relationship with other people. This is almost as difficult as running in two directions, at the same time.

And I hear you thinking, “What if that was me, I would want someone to speak up?” Well, that aspect of it is a little hard to deal with, so I guess since no one wants to do the right then, whenever one feels betrayed or guilty, just go meditate and focus on the bright future. Trust, me, I really feel so good and am able to repress the memories, but then to look at these people know they know want is going on, but will not say anything makes me feel kind of blue and makes me want to distance myself from them. I have tried to share some of the best insights of the best human minds of the human species. These only begin to scratch the surface of what we need to know. The human relations problems yet to be explored are immense, and the solution will come no more easily than did the others. Children use words to express how they feel; adults use words to hide how they feel. To me, one of the most baffling aspects of the behavior of men and women in highly-responsible positions in some segment of our society, is their comparative lack of concern for—perhaps its lack of awareness of—the factor of communication, as such, in the problems and situations in which they have to deal—It is communication that makes human society possible. For communication to take place, the receiver must also be receptive. That means more than just having one’s ears cleaned. One must also want or need to get the message and be willing to decide ad fit it into his existing pattern of ideas or associations. If a student is asleep in a classroom, even the professor’s most exciting and beautiful message will not get through to him.

If I am angry at you, I may not receive your message, no matter what or how you try to send. If you are unwilling to hear me because you do not like or respect people of my gender, ethnic background, profession or generation, then I am spilling my message onto unreceptive ground. Influence through mass communication need not be blatant—it can be very subtle indeed. Even when communicators are not making a direct attempt to sell something, they can succeed in influencing the way we look at the World. All I have to say is we need to stop rewarding and supporting those we know have done wrong. And in the media, it would be nice to get news stations with different content, and not have every station go to commercial break at the same time. Sometimes it feels like the TV news, is all one station, ran by the government, with different labels. You all, for the most part do a great job, we understand that is just how the business has evolved, but we want to change the World back to when Walter Cronkite was reading the trade papers on national TV. The diversity is great, but more originality, research and reports. Through education, books, encounter and sensitivity groups, and programs on television and other media, we are trying to bring about awareness of such issues: racism (only one race), sexism, elitism—all these are increasingly being brought to our collective attentions. This is the era of consciousness-raising, when underrepresented groups are seeking to awaken their members to the abuses of racism and the glories of ethnic heritages long in disrepute, and when women are trying to draw the attention of other women (and men) to the problem of sexual stereotyping and discrimination. However, the major problems in society are the institutions they are controlled by evil people.

However, we are firmly committed to the idea that human nature is not instinctively violent—that we all start out neutral in this regard. It is in the learning that occurs in the home, the neighborhood, the classroom, the playground, the streets, shops, offices, military institutions, newsrooms and other places that individuals acquire the skills and attitudes needed to do violence. Cooperation, respect, appreciation, mutual interaction, and selflessness are often taught ineffectively, irrelevantly, or too late! To pretend to be a good person is not enough. Much violence is spawned by frustration. Frustration will always be found where people’s basic needs go unsatisfied—so if you are jealous of someone, it means you have an inadequacy someone in your life to make you hate that person. Where poverty is the frustrator, it is up to not only the government, but also to individual citizens and groups to pressure for the eradication of poverty. So before we jam pack this country, with people who do not belong here, we need to help the ones who are here legally, first and foremost. If one gets ahead at the expense of another individual—or of whole groups of people—that inequality pollutes the society of which we are all a part of, and one cannot be surprised at the violence that results. Some violence is created by mental and emotional disorders, for which successful treatment is sometimes available. However, society needs to create an improved climate of acceptance for these programs of help and therapy that are available. The stigma attached to mental illness must be eradicated, and so must the feeling of shame or weakness that keeps many people from seeking available professional help when they need it. On men reprieved by its disdainful mercy, the immortal sea confers in its justice the full privilege of desired unrest.

The Joyful Condemned

I have gone out and lived among people I intended to write about; none of my writing has had a fictitious background. Whether they are hawker, bee-keepers, fisherman, reporters, doctors, lawyers, students or slum-dwelling drifters, I have had some in-depth experience with them. In the past, other writers and journalist, for first-hand experience, have gone out, dyed their hair, put on appropriate clothing, pretended to be drunk and have gotten arrested to get the story, from the horse’s mouth, about what the average person goes through, and to find out if their civil rights are being violated. In many cases, the newspaper will pay for these articles and cover the expenses. In my time as a writer, I have uncovered some unbelievable things, many of which I have not shared yet. What I did not cover was the bitter knowledge I came in by that goal, or waiting in the reception house courtyard between a serial killer and a manic white supremacists being removed to a home for the dying. The media feels that my work is very provocative and that it may fall foul of the censors. Still may people complain that the media no longer releases original projects or hard hitting investigations. Many middle-aged people, in the suburbs, feel like the news went from being like a Victorian house, unique, detailed, thought provoking, and with great architecture, to a modern cookie cutter villa, where all the reporters lookalike, dress alike, speak the same and report all the same stories on every station you watch. Judging by this description, there is a market for me to inform the public about some of the things going on behind the scenes, in everyday life.

I am not sure why I am so interested in sociological and political states, but I love people above all, and find them inexhaustibly interesting; especially the dirty, tragic, cheery people—their bravery and their horrible patience—I like those, and as a writer, stray far from these people seems highly improbable. Many of you, underneath are scared, angry, hurt, ashamed or on the brink of ending your own life. Darkness is more eligible than light to those whose deeds are evil. Someone does you very wrong, for a very long time, and there is really no one you can talk to about it and no one seems to be helping yourself. This person takes it up a notch by having a lawyer threaten you, when you are the one being harassed. Many people know about what is going on, but no one is speaking up or standing up for you. Some people are scared that they will lose their jobs, damage their reputation, and others are just now tuning in, and finding out what is going on. Knowing that no one may stand up for you, you then decide to ignore your friends and family, and try to repress the issues, block everyone out and act like nothing happened just because you cannot explain what has been going on and witnesses, in the past, have admitted that they would cover for each other, leaving you to look like a fool. Why should a man so carelessly cast him or herself away, by giving heed to a stranger? These whispering and change of thoughts proves that sin is in the World. Nonetheless, criminals, stalkers, and thugs usually have more than one victim, and you are probably not the first, which is why they are so smooth.

Happy days 220

People also need to realize, when you see a crime happen, and a group keeps attacking one individual, you need to speak up about that because it is illegal. Not only that, what if this person you are sitting back watching be harassed kills themselves, as they truly feel that have no one to turn to and have reached out to many? Wickedness, like a flood, is like to drown our World. And it is not fair that these thugs are out there, with prestigious jobs, and paid to pick on someone who is just getting started. However, the finest perception may err in its estimate of the inscrutable work of the Almighty, what is done in the dark will be brought to the light and everyone with their hands in that pot will be punished. It is difficult getting of good doctrine in erroneous times. Though to let loose the bridle to lusts, while our opinions are against such things, is bad; yet to sin, and plead a toleration so to do, is worse. It is not right to sit back and just watch someone be taken advantage of, physically attacked, denied their rights, and have to find a way to make it, while the aggressors are all in your face smiling like they are good people, when they are not. They are getting paid, when you are the one who should be working and paid well. They took it upon themselves to attack you, but the newsroom is protecting them. The thing is, some reporters are unethical and will stand up for their colleagues, instead of doing what is honorable and letting their superiors know, yes, that reporter has been stalking and harassing that person, but everyone is covering up for him. Just remember, evil often stops short of itself and dies with the doer(s) of it; but good, never! You do not know, for you could never learn it from your own heart, which is all purity and rectitude, what a mixture of good there may be in things evil: and how the greatest criminal, if you look at his conduct from his own point of view, or from any side point, may seem not so unquestionably guilty, after all. So how do you heal when you are still being harassed, and are being threaten by a lawyer?

6.0 Magnitude Earthquake in Napa, California

Some residences were sent running from their homes, in the night, hollering and screaming like they lost their minds; on 24 August 2014, at about 3.30am, there was a magnitude 6.0 Earthquake, in Napa, California and it was felt all the way in Sacramento, California, which is about 50 miles away.

More than 1 Million people felt this earthquake. That Earthquake tore some stuff up, buildings lost their faces, 100 gas leaks, 30 water mains broke, roads cracked open and six major fires broke out and high way 12 maybe shutting down. No deaths, 87 injuries, and three critically injured, one including a toddler, who had a fireplace fall on him, and someone has a heart attack. 30,000 people in Napa are without power.

There have been 48 aftershocks, so far. However, many buildings have been damages, the front façade of buildings have broken away, a few houses collapsed. The earthquake occurred near the well-known West Napa Fault, and the less well known Carneros-Franklin Faults, which juxtapose different suites of rocks. The Hayward-Rodgers Creek Fault system has a 32 percent probability of generating a large earthquake (Magnitude 6.7 to 7.4) by the year 2030, and the Concord-Green Valley Fault system has a 6 percent chance of generating a large earthquake Magnitude 6.7 in the same time period. Franklin Fault has thought to be dormant for 1.6 million years and may have caused this Napa Earthquake.

The World, being in the constant commission of vast quantities of injustice, is a little too apt to comfort itself with the idea that if the victim of its falsehood and malice have a clear conscience, he cannot fail to be sustained under his trails, and somehow or other to come right at last: in which case, say they who have hunted him down,–though we certainly do not expect it—nobody will be better pleased than we. Whereas, the  world would do well to reflect, that injustice is in itself, to every generous properly constituted mind, an injury, of all others the most insufferable, the most torturing, and the most hard to bear; and that many clear consciences have gone to their account elsewhere, and many sound hearts have broken, because of this very reason; the knowledge of their own deserts only aggravating their suffering, and rendering them the less endurable.

Labor Market Dynamics and Monetary Policy–Low Wages

Since 2009, the economy has made considerable progress in recovering from the largest and most sustained loss of employment in the United States of America, since the Great Depression. More jobs have now been created in the recovery than were lost in the downturn, with payroll employment in May of this year finally exceeding the previous peak in January 2008. Job gains in 2014 have averaged 230,000 a month, up from the 190,000 a month pace during the preceding two years. The unemployment rate, at 6.2 percent in July, has declined nearly 4 percentage points from its late 2009 peak. Over the past year, the unemployment rate has fallen considerably, and at a surprisingly rapid pace. These developments sound encouraging, but it does not speak to the depth of the damage that has been done. T he ongoing problem of the economic recovery: jobs lost in the downturn are being replaced with lower-paying careers. Jobs created through the second quarter of 2014 (2Q14) paid an average of $47,171, which is 23 percent lower than the $61,637 average wage, of jobs that were terminated, during the recession. The Federal Reserve’s monetary policy objective is to foster maximum employment and price stability. However, the replacement of higher-paying jobs, with lower occupations, demonstrates how $93 billion in lost wages. In this regard, a key challenge is to assess just how far the economy now stands from the attainment of its maximum employment goal.

Judgments concerning the size of that gap are complicated by ongoing shifts in the structure of the labor market and the possibility that the severe recession caused persistent changes in the labor market’s functioning. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen reports our economy is getting closer to the Fed’s objectives. Meanwhile, income gains are mostly going to those whose incomes are already high. Historical data confirms this. In 1975, the top 20 percent of households accounted for 43.6 percent of the nation’s income, while the working poor, who is represented by the bottom the 20 percent of households held just 4.3 percent. By 2012 the wealthiest quintile held 51.1 percent of the country’s income, and the bottom quintile just 3.2 percent. The wealthiest Americans (the top 5 percent of households) saw their income share rise from 16.5 percent to 22.3 percent. However, Janet Yellin understands that the labor market developments and their potential implications for inflation will remain far from perfect. As a consequence, monetary policy ultimately must be conducted in a pragmatic manner that relies not on any particular indicator or model, but instead reflects an ongoing assessment of a wide range of information in the context of our ever-evolving understanding of the economy. Economists across the United States of America are telling us that income inequality–not some fringe issue that just a few people want to talk about, but a real issue–is actually holding back the economy of the United States of America. We do not have time to wait.

Janet Yellin claims, the FOMC (Federal Open Market Committee from the Federal Reserve Board) has maintained a highly accommodative monetary policy in pursuit of its congressionally mandated goals of maximum employment and stable prices. The Committee judged such a stance appropriate because inflation has fallen short of our 2 percent objective while the labor market, until recently, operated very far from any reasonable definition of maximum employment. In real terms, the nation’s 2012 household median income of $51,017 stood at the lowest level since 1995. Median income peaked in 1999, at $56,000. In 2007, the national median household income stood at $55,627. But it has fallen every year since. When inflation is removed from the equation, median income fell 5.5 percent from 2005 to 2012. Consider first the behavior of the labor force participation rate, which has declined substantially since the end of the recession even as the unemployment rate has fallen. As a consequence, the employment-to-population ratio has increased far less over the past several years than the unemployment rate alone would indicate, based on past experience. And again, Janet Yelling claims, Over the past several years, wage inflation, as measured by several different indexes, has averaged about 2 percent, and there has been little evidence of any broad-based acceleration in either wages or compensation.

Indeed, in real terms, wages have been about flat, growing less than labor productivity. This pattern of subdued real wage gains suggests that nominal compensation could rise more quickly without exerting any meaningful upward pressure on inflation. And, since wage movements have historically been sensitive to tightness in the labor market, the recent behavior of both nominal and real wages point to weaker labor market conditions than would be indicated by the current unemployment rate. Meanwhile, from 2005 to 2012, the highest 20 percent of households captured 60.6 percent of income gains. Of that group the wealthiest benefited most, with the top 5 percent accumulated 27.6 percent of income gains. The numbers underscore what seems to be constant news these days: despite record levels of corporate profitability, American wages remain stagnant. That is one of several factors creating a growing income gap between the poor and the affluent: tax policy is another big one. Their findings contribute to the growing evidence that when we go back 30 years, we lost our way. Mistakenly Americans thought that tax breaks, to export jobs overseas, was the way to build this country’s economy, and it has turned American from producers to consumers, but someone was just interesting and creating a Billionaires club, at the expense of the American people, national security and human right. The report forecasts that income disparities will continue to grow, and that the middle class will continue to shrink.

Cinderella Story Book Mansions in Oakland, California

Come stay in a beautiful room in a 100-year Queen Anne Victorian Mansion, this area is truly a hidden jewel waiting to be explored. There is really something special about being here. The Victorian architecture was designed to look like castles and villas from many different places and eras, in single housing development, creating a uniform architectural look. There are mini-mansions and on streets like Trestle Glen, and  there is a mix of smaller houses and large houses. Follow the winding brick path, to the arched front door, of this story book mansion, magical curb appeal with wood shake roof and English country garden. The entry room opens to an enchanting living room with high beam ceilings and wood-burning fireplace. Hardwood floors continue into the dining room and new high-end kitchen. Victorian craftsmanship is marvelous, extravagant, and beautiful.

Normandy Gardens is one Oakland’s prettiest neighborhoods with tree lined streets and charming houses. Many Oakland neighborhoods have a strong sense of community. The Storybook homes, of Normandy Gardens, are beautifully designed and magical. They were constructed by W.W. Dixon and built by R.C.Hillen in the 1920s. W.W.Dixon was the architect of Hillen’s Modest Mansions, on Picardy Drive, in Oakland, California. These houses were designed to replicate, in a whimsical way, the architecture of Normandy. The houses are spacious and extremely well laid out. The neighborhood is cohesive and even has its own newsletter. Every Christmas there is a Christmas Tree placed on the grassy median on the street. Holiday Lights is a web page that shows Picardy Drive with all its Christmas Tree lights lit up.

Victorian craftsmanship is marvelous, extravagant, and beautiful. If Victorian homes, in Sacramento, CA, are in short supply, but high demand, and expensive, they are the homes of the elite because basically buyers will sell to–not only one with the best offer, but someone they feel will care for the home and it its authenticity. So just because you have the best offer, does not mean that your bid will be accepted. A lot of hard work and love goes into those homes, and they are no longer in production, nor can they really be reproduced. But at the same time, buyers do not want a Victorian home that has lost its charm. Buys want Victorian homes the ornate features, like the lath and plaster walls, silver chandeliers, parquet floors, mahogany walls, tiffany stained glass and lead glass windows, hand crafted Italian marble fire places.

Historians love the witches cap, towers, fish scale shingles, cartouche, insert balcony, cupola, finial, ridge cresting and gable. Buyers also cherish the historical wall paper, and all the clever details on the stairs, door hinges, and if you have any original furniture—that is even better.  A true historian also adores the formal layout of a real Victorian homes—the less modern features, the more attractive the home is. The more original the Victorian home is, the more desirable it will be to buyers because owning a Victorian home, is like owing a piece of history.

Democratic Senator Benjamin Hueso Wet and Wild

In the cold courts of justice, the dull head demands oaths, and holy writ proofs; but in the warm halls of the heart one single, untestified memory’s spark shall suffice to enkindle such a blaze of evidence, that all the corners of conviction are as suddenly lighted up as a midnight city by a burning building, which on every side whirls it reddened brands. After leaving a Latino Caucus dinner, at the Il Fornaio restaurant, honoring Latino Legislators, Democratic Senator Benjamin Hueso, of San Diego, California was arrested on 22 August 2014, at 3:27 a.m., in Sacramento California for Driving Under the Influence, and going the wrong way, on a one-way street. Senator Benjamin Hueso was elected to the senate in March 2013; he was not released from jail until 10am 22 August 2014. The arrest was conducted by the prestigious California Highway Patrol. It is reported that the Senator’s blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit of .08. “When I first came up to you, I could smell alcohol from your mouth Senator Benjamin Hueso.” The Senator has been described as, defendant and had watery eyes and heavy eyelids, and wreaked of the odor of an alcoholic beverage . . . and was unsteady on his feet and he failed two Breathalyzers — blowing .159 and .113. The meeting was over at 9pm, and Democratic Senator Benjamin Hueso sat in a conference room, for two hours, chatting, snacking, drinking and playing cards. By the end of two hours he had drunk three cocktails, but had no idea how many shots were in each. However, most people will tell us that they would not drive when they get to about an .04 or .05. There is no such thing as moral responsibility for past acts, no such thing as real justice in punishing them, for the reason that human beings are not stationary existences, but changing, growing, incessantly progressive organisms, which in no two moments are the same. Therefore, justice, whose only possible mode of proceeding is to punish in present time for what is done in past time, must always a person more or less similar to, but never identical with, the one who committed the offense, and therein must be no justice.

There is so such thing as Earthly justice, and especially none under the head of Christendom. Senator Benjamin Hueso “Quite the coward, it would appear. Ben Hueso wants to play dirty politics, but not to stand in front of the media to defend his unethical actions.” Just a year ago, Senator Benjamin Hueso claims he witnessed Former San Diego City Councilman, Carl DeMaio masturbating, in City Hall bathroom. However, many would like to know Why was Senator Benjamin Hueso stalking DeMaio in a private restroom, lying in wait, to rush a door, which locks shut after entry? Why did Senator Benjamin Hueso intentionally rush out of a council meeting to go to that restroom to grab the door before it closed behind Carl DeMaio? Senator Benjamin Hueso behavior is downright creepy, and his ulterior motives are crystal clear: he is determined to bring down City Councilman, Carl DeMaio, a Republican, at any cost … including the loss of his own integrity and moral compass. Senator Benjamin Hueso loved to watch men masturbate. It is a little fetish of his. Senator Benjamin Hueso had been watching Carl Demaio for a while. He would listen at the door and wait to wait to hear the low moans or slapping sounds. Ben Hueso, in 2009, acknowledged to this reporter that he witnessed Carl DeMaio engaging in the masturbation practice twice. Describing the scene that spring, when Senator Benjamin walked in on Carl DeMaio, who was in front of a urinal, with his pants down, Senator Benjamin Hueso said: ‘Carl DeMaio was masturbating. Then Senator Benjamin Hueso then slide his hands down to touch himself. Supposedly, Carl Demaio groaned as he erupted, spurting hot, white jets of it over his hand, landing thickly on his belly. Just the sight of his produce made Senator Benjamin Hueso release too, shuddering against the doorway, pressing himself there, like he was going to collapse. However, this time the senator could not just sneak out like he had often done in the past. Carl then jumped, caught by surprise. He jumped to the sink … saying “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” about six times and then washed his hands, darted out.’” Men in masses, when goaded by disappointment, are never just.
