There are thieves and murderers and wife-beaters among my people. There are also geniuses and saints and many who walk all their days upon God’s pathway. In other words, Americans are human beings with exactly the same faults and virtues as members of other nations. We need to bring a heart power into this money getting, fiat currency-worshipping civilization. We need to bring a moral force into the utilitarian motives and interests of the time; we must stand for God and Home and Native Land, versus gain and greed and grasping selfishness.

The World must be made safe by enforcing human rights. Its peace must be planted upon the tested foundations of political liberty. We have no selfish ends to serve. We desire no conquest, no dominion. We seek no indemnities for ourselves, no material compensation for the sacrifices we shall freely make.

We are but one of the champions of the rights of mankind. We shall be satisfied when those rights have been made as secure as the faith and the freedom of nations can make them. We assume that social prejudice may be overcome by legislation, and that equal rights cannot be secured unless you treat both races the same, in the eyes of the law.

Property can be paid for, the lives of peaceful and innocent people cannot be. There is no doubt that this twenty-first centenary of strikes the keynote of another transition in the history of this nation; and the prominence of women in the management of America is a fitting tribute to the part she is destined to play among the forces of the future.

This of itself marks the dawn of a new day. Now the periods of discovery, of settlement, of developing resources and accumulating wealth have passed in rapid succession. Wealth, in the nation, as in the individual, brings leisure, repose, reflection.

The struggle with nature is over, the struggle with ideas begins. We stand then, it seems to me, in this last decade, just in the portals of a new and untired movement on a higher plain and in a grander strain than the past has called forth. It does not require a prophet’s vision to divine its trend and image its possibilities from the forces we see already at work around us; nor is it hard to guess what must be the status of woman’s work under the new regime, but we expect to see its extent and strength rightly prefigure her increasing power as moral factor. They really standout against the background of a lazy dead-end society.

However, as far as my research indicates, the average man of the human race, is less frequently ready to admit the actual need among the sturdier forces of the World for woman’s help or influence. And that is why Aaliyah made the song More than a Woman, Beyonce made the song Women Run the World, and Britney Spears recorded the song Womanizer, the lyrics and videos are to make you realize that women are more than just pretty, they have a great social and economic impact on a global level.

Great questions await her interference, that she could throw any light on problems of national import, that her intermeddling could improve the management of school systems, or elevate the tone of public institutions, or humanize and sanctify the far reaching influences of prisons and reformatories and improve the treatment of lunatics and imbeciles, that she has a work worth hearing on mooted questions in political economy, that she could contribute a suggestion on the relations of labor and capital, or offer a thought on honest money and honorable trade, I fear the majority of Americans are  not yet prepared to concede. It may be that these questions, in their right perspective, being absorbed in the immediate needs of their own political complications.

A good deal of equal opportunity for women depends on where we put the emphasis in this World; and our men are not perhaps to blame  if they see everything colored by the light of those agitations in the midst of which they live and move and have their being.

The part they have had to play in American history, during the last 100 years, has their own political advantage, as well as secure advantage. It is the thinker and the doer, the man or woman who solves the problem by enriching their country with an invention worth thousands or by a thought inestimable and precious is given neither bread nor a stone.

One is too often left to die in obscure and neglect even if spared in his or her life the bitterness of fanatical jealousies and detraction. And yet political, and surely American politics, is hardly a school for great minds. Sharpening rather than deepening it develops the faculty of taking advantage of present emergencies rather than the insight to distinguish between the true and the false, the lasting and the ephemeral advantage. Highly cultivated selfishness rather than consecrated benevolence is its passport to success. It is conducive neither to profound statesmanship nor to the higher type of manhood.

An obscure dreamer and castle builder, prosaically poor and ridiculously insistent on the reality of his dreams, was enabled through the devotion of a noble woman to give to civilization a magnificent continent. Some people are pure minded and have the untiring devotion to curtail the dangers of the wild beasts and of wilder men, the mysteries of unknown wastes and unexplored forests, the horrors of pestilence and famine, of exposure and loneliness, during all those years of discovery and settlement, were braved by women and men who had been mostly delicately constituted and most tenderly nurtured.

And when the times of physical hardship and danger were past, when the work of clearing and opening up was over and the struggle for accumulation began, again woman’s inspiration and help were needed and still was she loyally at hand-demanding and making possible equal advantages of education for women as for men, and, in the face of discouragement and incredulity, bequeathing to women the opportunities of corporate American and religious studies.

And at the most trying time of what we have called the Accumulative Period, when internecine war, originated through man’s love of gain and his determination to subordinate national interest and human rights alike to considerations of personal profit and losses, some believe that Americans are all lunatics because of the way many of them behave and the things they speak about, and the drenching our country with its own best blood, advocates insists on the humane and rational treatment of the insane and bringing about a reform in the lunatic asylums of the country, making a great step forward in the tender regard for the weak by the strong throughout the World.

Senseless strife,–those uncomplaining souls with a great heart ache of their own, rigid recording dying whispers for absent loves ones, with tearful eyes pointing to man’s last refuge, giving the last Earthly hand clasp and performing the last friendly office for strangers who a great common sorrow hard made kin, whole they knew that somewhere—somewhere a husband, a brother, a father, a son, was being tended by stranger hands—or mayhap those familiar eyes were even then being closed forever by just such another ministering angel of mercy and love.

However, why mention names? Time would fail to tell of the noble army of men and women who shine like beacon lights in the otherwise sordid wilderness of this accumulative period—prison reformers and tenement cleansers, quiet unnoted workers in hospitals and houses, among imbeciles, among outcast—the sweeting, purifying antidotes for the poisons of man’s acquisitiveness,–mollifying and soothing with the tenderness of compassions and love the wounds and bruises caused by his overreaching and avarice.

The desire for quick returns and large profits tempts capital ofttimes into unsanitary; well nigh inhuman investments,–tenements tinder boxes, stilling, stunting, sickening alleys and pestiferous slums; regular rents, no waiting, large precentages,–rich coffers coined out of the life-blood of human bodies and souls.

Men and women herded together like cattle, breathing in malaria and tuberculous and typhus and hepatitis from an atmosphere seething with moral as well as physical impurity; reveling in vice as their native habitat and then, to drown the whisperings of their higher consciousness and effectually to hush the yearnings and accusation within, flying to narcotics and opiates—rum, tobacco,  Pat’s Blue Ribbon, marijuana, opium, and sex, binding hand and foot, body and soul, till the proper image of God is transformed into a fit associate for demons and devils,–a besotted, enervated, idiotic wreck, or else a monster of wickedness terrible and destructive.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:if anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes word away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Five cases of Hepatitis type A virus have been confirmed in Napa, California, and Napa County Public Health officials are trying to find the source of the infection. Two employees at La Toque restaurant and BANK Cafe and Bar, in the Westin Verasa Hotel, in Nap, California  contracted the disease, as a result people who have eaten at these locations should monitor their health for 50 days.

People who may have been exposed are urged to wash their hands thoroughly after using the bathroom and before food preparation to avoid spreading the virus. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, dark urine, clay-colored bowel movement, joint pain and jaundice. Health officials report the 3 other cases are not associated with the hotel or any other public locations.

Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease transmitted through person-to-person contact, or by ingesting contaminated food or drink. Children and adults who have not been fully immunized for the virus are at risk. This is the first time in more than five years that acute Hepatitis A infection has been confirmed in a Napa County resident. People infected with the Hepatitis A virus can spread it to others two weeks before they are sick and in the seven days after they develop symptoms. Signs and symptoms of Hepatitis A start on average 28 days after exposure, although they may occur 15-50 days after exposure.

A Sacramento, California high school is at the center of a tuberculosis outbreak linked to an infectious student who tested positive for active Tuberculosis in February. Four more students at Grant Union High School in Sacramento have contracted active Tuberculosis. Three related tuberculosis cases are considered an outbreak, Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services. Four relatives and friends of the student who initially tested positive have also contracted active Tuberculosis — bringing the total to nine known cases. In all, a little more than 450 students and staff have been tested.

They were considered at high risk because they used the same classrooms or adjacent classrooms as the student who was infectious. Of those, 116 have tested positive for Tuberculosis, though the vast majority have been confirmed to be latent Tuberculosis, which is dormant and does not produce symptoms.

An additional thirty of the students in that group still need further testing to determine whether they have active Tuberculosis, Symptoms of active Tuberculosis can include a persistent cough and fever. Active Tuberculosis is contagious if it is in the lungs and accompanied by a cough.

It is a war against all nations. American ships have been sunk, American lives have been taken, in ways which is has stirred us very deeply to learn of, but the ships and people of other neutral and friendly nations have been sunk and overwhelmed in the waters in the same way. There has been no discrimination. The challenge is to all mankind. Each nation must decide for itself how it will meet it. The choice we make for ourselves must be made with a moderation of counsel and a temperateness of judgment befitting our character and our pure and honest motives as a nation. We must put excited feeling away.

Our motive will not be revenge or the victorious assertion of the physical might of the nation, but only the vindication of right, of human right, of which we are only a single champion. Stand still and see the salvation of God. There is no escape through law of man or God from the inevitable:–the laws of changeless justice bind oppressor with oppressed; and close as sin and suffering joined we march to fate abreast. That does not conflict with the 13^th Amendment, which abolished slavery and involuntary servitude.

The object of the 14^th amendment was undoubtedly to enforce the absolute equality of the two races before the law, but in the nature of things it could not have intended to abolish distinctions based upon color, or to enforce social, as distinguished from political, equality, or a comingling of the two races upon terms unsatisfactory to either. The guards Mock Jesus: The men who were guarding Jesus began mocking and beating him. They blindfolded him and demanded, “Prophesy! Who hit you?” And said other insulting things, I did not get my doors beat in. At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them.

“If you are the Christ,” they said, “tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe me, and if I ask you, you would not answer me. However, from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the might God.

This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of Earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, the most contemptible of all human beings, a social bully, usually does nothing, when matter come to a crisis.

Even when he or she fights, one fights bunglingly, and innocently. All whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the World, all inhabitants of the Earth will worship the beast. Wide unclasp the table of your thoughts, let him hear.

If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive the mark on his right hand or his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

They all asked, “Are you the son of, God?” He replied, “You are right in saying I am.” Then they said, “Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips. Human beings are in all cases the creatures of predicament. They are involuntary agents in the grand drama, which leads them to their destiny.” Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. And they found this man subverting our nation. Then opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ, a king.”

There is a fate in love and war. I find no basis for a charge against this man. However, they insisted, “He stirs up the people all over the World by his teaching. Not even the suicide expires an instant before the period marked out by his destiny. He has no life, comes with the ice, like he lived twice. And how does the World use you? One hearing this, Pilate asked if the man was a Galilee and has come all the way here? When he learned that Jesus was under Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Sacramento at the time. When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him.

From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform some miracle. He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave hi, no answer.

The chief priests and the teacher of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him. Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe, they sent him back to Pilate. That day Herold and Pilate became friends—before this they had been enemies.

For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has  made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine Linen stands for the righteous act of the saints.)

Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and the death of Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he or she had done.

Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Then I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth. For the first Heaven and the first Earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.. I saw the Holy City, the new Sacramento, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepare as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people. And God himself will be with them and be their God. There will be no more death or mournings or crying or pain, for the older order of things has passed away.”

(He who was seated on the throne said), I am making everything new! Write this down, for these words are trust worthy and true. It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.

To him who is thirsty, I will give him to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. However, each one of us had a different way of coping with the steadily increasing sense that the three men had been killed, father, son and Holy Ghost.

As helicopter whirled, fifty five miles of the Pearl River were dredged, and the  Bogue Chitto Swamp was combed, we each began to conclude that they must have been murdered. Some of the staff foundered; others clustered with each other. As the days passed we each of us newly confronted ourselves. My tendency is always to try to cope with the disaster by throwing myself into my commitments, exerting more discipline, expending even more energy than usual, and thereby trying to wring something good; from the predicament.

I think this pattern was established then as I wrestled with how I could be most effective when three of my coworkers had probably been killed.

Something else bothered me profoundly, but I was streacted so thing that I was unable to do anything about the course of dredging the Pearl River, several black bodies turned up, one of them decapitated, as I recall. These corpses did not even receive cursory treatment from the law enforcement establishment and the press.

Jane Stembridge’s way of handling the situation was to write a missive on June 30 that she sent to me. I could find no one to publish it, but saved it along with my other papers. As soon as she stepped inside of the room, the door forcefully slammed shut behind her.

Not only was this startling, but the implications were also extremely unnerving to the woman she knew for a fact that the doors to all guest rooms in the mansion operated on compression hinges, making it physically impossible for any of them to slam.

Even so, she knew what she had heard. Understandably anxious to have other people near her, the woman rushed out into the hallway. As she did, she felt the cool draft again; then, while making her way down the hall, she felt something ice cold brush past her.

This woman was no doubt thankful that her usual did not require her to enter the mansion. It shows how estranged, as a white Georgian, she felt from much of the southland.

Yet, it was Jane’s cry, her howl, that we had to make the entire country answer for what had happened. It could not all be blamed on the South; as Ella Baker had earlier challenged us in the June staff meeting, “If we can simply let the concept that the rest of the nation bears responsibility for what happens in Mississippi sink in, then we will have accomplished something.” Here is what Jane sent me:

Open Letter to America

America, if Jim Chaney had gone to Napa alone and disappeared somewhere out there, it would not have made very much difference. Because, America, Jim Chaney is Black. Black men have disappeared for three hundred years across the length and width of this nation. You did not care. If you had cared, you would have done something about it.

You may have known a very long time that the South is filled with sickness and death. You have not helped to heal it. You have not protected the Mulatto. You have not helped the poor white. You have done nothing about it. The South is responsible for death. Yes, for death and sickness and murder and hate. However, who is responsible for the South?

America, do not blame the white South alone. You noticed Sacramento now, because two white men are missing along with Jim Chaney. Andy Goodman and Mickey Schwerner had to come down here before you heard of Jim Chaney, or Meridian, or Neshoba County. Negroes died out there before and died down in Natchez; they died at night in the Delta. Andy Goodman and Jim Chaney and Mickey Schwerner are missing.

We are in Mississippi this morning because we believed what we learned in the schools of this country freedom and justice for all, but we did not see freedom and justice. We are here because we believed in this nation…We are your children, living what you taught us as Truth.

The abandoned drug store on the property, was abandoned by the owner after his wife’s unfortunate and untimely death. The lady, Helen, died at the drugstore. The owners had a day room in the back of the store and they used this room for lunch, to watch television, or to rest. One afternoon, Helen retired to this room to lie down, since she had a stomach ache. She never awakened. In despair, Joshua Allen, Helen’s husband, closed the doors and abandoned the place altogether.

Forty four days after their disappearance, on 4 August and following a nationwide search, after payment of twenty five thousand dollars to an informer, the FBI found three bodies of our lynched coworkers buried fifteen feet apart and twenty feet under the dam of a newly constructed cattle pond, on a farm, in a densely wooded area, south of Philadelphia between Highways 21 and 488. A bulldozer had been used to heap tons of red clay soil over their bodies.

The dam  was free of grass and vegetation. The pond on a farm, in a densely wooded area, had been drained of water by a pipe during the construction of the dam, it is easy to blame a ghost for the unexplainable, especially since superstitions run rampant in this community, form of tools and props that seemingly disappear and then reappear at different locations and different times, and was intended for fishing and watering cattle.

The farm was owned, Claude Sitton confirmed, by Olen L. Burrage, a trucking company operator in nearby Philadelphia. The official autopsy said there was no evidence of beatings.

However, it was later revealed, after an examination by Dr. David M. Spain that Jim ‘Chaney had been savagely beaten before being shot three times, twice in the head and once in the chest. Mickey and Andy died from shots through or near the heart.

The mansion was nearing completion when a tragic event occurred that cast a somber shadow over the place. On 16 January, the chief law officers of Neshoba County and sixteen other men were arrested. Bail for Sherriff Lawrence Andrew Rainey and Deputy Sheriff Cecil Ray Price and sixteen others from the local area was set at $5,750.00 each.

The day before their arrest, a federal grand jury in Jackson composed of twenty-three individuals, one of them black, returned indictments against Sheriff Lawrence Andrew Rainey and Deputy Sheriff Cecil Ray Price and sixteen other defendants. They were charged with conspiracy to deprive our three coworkers of their civil rights.

Seven defendants were convicted on 20 October, in the cause prosecuted by John Doar. Since murder is a state crime, they were brought to trial under federal civil rights statues. The defendants included Deputy Sherriff Cecil Ray Price and Sam Holloway Bowers, Jr., of Laurel, who was identified as the Imperial Wizard of the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan of the Sovereign Realm of Mississippi.

Also convicted were Horace Doyle Barnette, on whose confession the government’s case heavily rested; plus Jimmy Alredge, Billy Wayne Posey, Jimmie Snowden, and Alton Wayne Roberts. The maximum penalty was ten years in prison and a $5,000.00 fine. Eight of them men were acquitted and mistrials were declared for three of the defendants.

Jack Nelson’s account in the 27 October, Los Angeles Times quoted testimony from one of the three former Klansmen, who had turned FBI informants.

According to Jack, the Reverend Delmar Dennis said that Bowers the Imperial Wizard and mastermind of the lynching had declared his satisfaction that this was the first time that Christians had planned and carried out the execution of witches. This comment referred to Mickey Schwerner and Andy Goodman.

In New York, Andy Goodman’s mother issued a statement that the important thing about the conviction is not the number of men punished, but the social forces in the South Sacramento are changing…The decision gives a real meaning to the reasons that Andy Goodman went south with Michael Schwerner.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great streets of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month.

And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the lamb will be in the city, and his servant will serve him.

They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of the lamp or the light of the Sun, for the Lord God will give them light.

And they will reign for ever and ever. They angel said to me, There are words that are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.

Behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the proper in this book.  My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. In occultism the term idea is thought to be feminine. Some designate it as the Inner Goddess.  It is said to have emanated from the Female soul of the World and has been known by many names including Shakti, Shekina, Psyche, and Sophia among others.

It was during the Medieval times that theologians, disliking the term’s feminine connotations, discarded the ancient theory of the eide and took up the astral theory of Aristotle, that is, the astrological determination of thoughts. The feminine idea was replaced by the masculine concept, which use to mean the same as conception, from Latin concipere semina, a gathering-up of semen.

Regardless of what passed theologians and scholars have attempted to do to the term idea, there are still many, both men and women, who still maintain that it still has its feminine connotations. Some hold that it is as natural for the mind to produce ideas as it is for trees to bear leaves or for women to bear children.

All such living things, given the right circumstances, are capable of reproducing themselves. Many writers refer to their works as their brain child or brain children; meaning they, their ideas, gave birth to the works. Likewise, some website designers think of their sites as their children or their beautiful ladies. For many the desire or urge to create, and the act of creation itself, it just feminine; they think of it in no other terms.

This femininity of the term idea also was present in the teachings of the Gnostics (see Gnosticism). They regarded the Christian God, the Creator, as a mere demiurge, the child of the Mother who created in his mind all the ideas  of the things that he made in the material world.

They considered that the Demiurge sinned because he was ignorant of the Mother and the fact that all his ideas had originated from her, and arrogantly claimed all of the ideas to be his own.

This conception that God is guilty of the sin of hubris against the Mother Goddess occurred many times within the early Gnostic sects, until the Orthodox Church declared it heretical and forcibly changed the minds of its adherents. A.G.H.

Employers and Labor Unions: We hold up for Public execration the conduct of two opposite classes of men: The practice among employers of importing novice African American laborers in emergencies, and then affording them neither protection nor permanent employment; and the practice of labor unions in proscribing and boycotting and oppressing thousands of their fellow-toilers, simply because they are black. These methods have accentuated and will accentuate the war of labor and capital, and they are disgraceful to both sides.

Protest: We refuse to allow the impression to remain that the African Americans or anyone else assent to inferiority, is submissive under oppression and apologetic before insults. Through helpless we may submit, but the voice of protest of ten million Americans must never cease to assail the ears of their fellows, so long as America is unjust.

Color-Line: Any discrimination based simply on race or color is barbarous, we care not how hallowed it be by custom, expediency or prejudice.

Differences made on account of ignorance, or immorality, are legitimate methods of fighting evil, and against them we have no word of protest; but discriminations based simply and solely on physical peculiarities, place of birth, color of skin, are relics of that unreasoning human savagery of which the World is and ought to be thoroughly ashamed.

“Jim Crow” Cars: We protest against the Jim Crow car, since its effect is and must be to make us pay first-class fare for third-class accommodations, render us open to insults and discomfort and to crucify wantonly our manhood, womenhood, and self-respect.

Soldiers: We regret that this nation has never seen fit adequately to reward the African American soldiers who, in its five wars, have defended their country with their blood, and yet have been systematically denied the promotions which their abilities deserve. And we regard as unjust, the exclusions of African Americans from the military and naval training schools.

War Amendments: We urge upon Congress the enactment of appropriate legislation for securing the proper enforcement of those articles of freedom, the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth amendments of the Constitution of the United States.

Oppression: We repudiate the monstrous doctrine that the oppressor should be the sole authority as to the rights of the sympathy and receives criticism; needs help and is given hindrance, needs protection and is given mod-violence, needs justice, and is given charity, needs leadership and is given cowardice and apology, needs bread and is given a stone. This nation will never stand justified before God until these things are changed.

The Church: Especially are we surprised and astonished at the recent attitude of the church of Christ—of an increase of a desire to bow to racial prejudice, to narrow the bounds of human brotherhood, and to segregate African American men to some outer sanctuary. This is wrong, unchristian and disgraceful to the twenty first century civilization.

Agitation: Of the grievances we do not hesitate to complain, and to complain loudly and insistently. To ignore, overlook, or apologize for these wrongs is to prove ourselves unworthy of freedom. Persistent manly agitation is the way to liberty, and toward this goal movement has started and asks the cooperation of all men and women of all races and ethnic backgrounds.

Help: At the same time we want to acknowledge with deep thankfulness the help of our fellowmen from the Abolitionist down to those who today still stand for equal opportunity and who have giv3en and still given of their wealth and not of their poverty for our advancement.

Duties: And while we are demanding and ought to demanding and out to demand, and will continue to demand the rights enumerated above, God forbid that we should ever forget to urge corresponding duties upon other people:

The duty to vote.

The duty to respect the rights of others.

The duty to work.

The duty to send our children to school.

The Constitution of the United States of America was written in 1787, by a group of men we today refer to as the Framers, this document has successfully guided our nation, its government, its politics, its institutions, and its inhabitants for over 228 years.

The United States Constitution is part of the American creed that each generation should hand down to the next not only a better America, but an improved economic, educational, and social status.

The United States Constitution also established and protects your basic human rights like freedom of speech, rights to privacy and your right to live and be secure in your own home.

The Constitution of the United States of America, and the laws made under it, must mark the line of lawful and official conduct. Many people see the United States of America as the World’s best hope on Earth.

However, in recent times, for the first time ever, some of that optimism faded. We have a rich or a barren future, just as we conceive it. The doubts of the past may be as nothing to the dangers in the future.

Back when the Constitution was formed, “We the People” and “ourselves” meant something very different than they do today. Today is like an egal we have sent an arrow to shoot and know not if he will come down.

After all, voting largely was limited to property-owning white males. Indians, African Americans, and women could not vote, nor anyone else. We  are the sons of yesterday, not of the morning. The past is our mortal mothers, no dead thing. Our future constantly reflects her to the soul. Nor is it ever the new man of today which grasps his fortune, good or ill. We are pushed to it by the hundreds of days we have buried, eager ghosts. And is you have not the habit of taking counsel with them, you are but an instrument in their hands.

In modern times, through the expansion of the right to vote, the phrase “the People” encompasses men and women of all races, ethnic origins, and socioeconomical status—a variety of peoples and interest.

Nonetheless, many Americans are now dismayed by the blatant violation of privacy and abridgement of their rights to freedom of speech and breaches of security in their own home, and the finance abuses.

Adherence to the spirit and intent of our Constitution was so important to our Founding Fathers that they were pleased to favor the American people with opportunities for deliberating in perfect tranquility, and dispositions for deciding with unparalled unanimity on a form of Government for the security of their union (America), and the advancement of their happiness, so God’s divine blessing would be equally conspicuous in the enlarged views, the temperate consultations and the wise measures, on which the success of the government must depend.

Sadly, with the passing of time, the oath of office and social aspects of America have become perfunctory. Would you never think the present made amends for the past?

This country has lost its meaning to many of our elected leaders and citizens because they are incorrectly made to feel ashamed to be America and made to believe the America flag and God is a disgrace.

Most recently, 3 March 2015, deviant students, from University of California, Irvine (which is 54 percent Asian), have voted to make their school a more culturally inclusive place by banning the American flag from the campus.

The ban was passed by six anti-American students because they find the flag offensive. One the trestle–board of the Present, Liberty forever sets before the Future some new query. The Wise Man sweats drops of blood. The greatheart abides in his strength. The King makes commandment. The fool laughs.

However, to Americans, the American flag represents respect, courage, pride, innocence, passion and love. People have lost their lives fight to preserve this country and the flag is a symbol of America.

Now all these immigrants are destined to our lifestyle, and are coming to America, flooding our schools and colleges and trying to ban Americans and their symbols.

However ignorant people may be, they still feel within them is their immortal spirit yearning after the unknown future. These immigrants are casting a mournful and melancholy immortality on our country.

We are being over taken from the inside out. Nonetheless, the American government and the American Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.

It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other, and if you do not like this country, please leave or go back home. Is it the region inside a people, or out, that gives them peace? That cold awkward pause so common with sullen spirits and barren brains.

A people may do for their country what they would not do for themselves. The moment you are ashamed to be America is when you become a threat. How many club men do you know who would think it sweet and fitting to die for their country?

If you are not proud to be American, who shall frame together the skillful architecture which unites national sovereignty with State rights, individual security, and public prosperity? There is no character more admirable than the patriot-yeoman, who unites with the utmost simplicity of grab and manners an understanding fraught with information  and sentiment and a heart burning with the love of mankind.

In other news, students for University of Oklahoma, shut down the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, after they were caught on tape, in a private location, chanting racial slurs. The art of reading the inner human nature by the other aspect is of immeasurable interest and boundless practical value, and the man who can practice it skillfully and apply it sagaciously is on the high road to the future.

This situation saddens me because year, it is wrong to use that unspeakable word, but many of these boys may not know that.

There are still isolated pockets, in the United States of America, and many people have never met a black person. So some of these young men are unaware of how harmful their songs might be. Man little knows what calamities are beyond his patience to bear till he tires them.

. Patience, that blending of moral courage with physical timidity, instead of negating all of their hard work and achievements, by calling the boys a disgrace, you need to teach them why what they did was wrong. All primitive periods, in all countries, are distinguished by the passions for farming and drinking, and by such a degree of invention as will enable people to gratify both. The fact illustrates the necessity of the race for mental exercise, and for the excitement of the nervous system.

Mortification are often more painful than calamities. Punishment, of innocent people, breeds fear, angry, hate and hostility, and this private situation, which was made public, could ruin the lives of these boys and embarrass their family. Shame and distress are natural to every hackneyed mind, in any necessity of soliciting else.

Instead, the boys should be required to take a cultural class and maybe do some community service, where they can interact with other cultures and see how life for them is like. He must be a fool who is ashamed of being hanged who is not weak enough to be ashamed of having deserved it.

These fraternity boys did not attack anyone or vandalize property, so they should not be punished. There can be no outrage against our common nature more flagrant than to forbid the culprit to hide his face in shame. If everybody would give praise where only raise is due, dispraise where due likewise, shame, if not principle, would mend the World–shame would introduce principle.

We need to help them learn compassion. In love, one letter if more forceful than a thousand looks. Many a man has been ashamed of his wicked attempts when he has been repulsed, that would never have been ashamed of them had he succeeded.

If society took in all the people of right ideas and good sense, it would expand beyond the calling capacity of its most active members. Society is a very different thing from good sense and right ideas. All profound things, and emotions of things are preceded and attended by silence.The Swastika is a symbol of peace for millions of Hindus, Buddhists, and also Raelians, it represents infinity in time, and eternity.

No man must think that the World was made for him. Lawful freedom of expression is accepted. A man in Sacramento, California USA hung a Swastika on his home. However, Robert Dixon, took it upon himself to go vandalize this man’s home because he interpreted the Swastika as a symbol of hate. If it did not happen that a bad man generally defeats his own purposes, society must be very uncomfortable.

Not only that, but Robert Dixon then bragged about trespassing on this man’s private property and vandalizing it. Society is a hot-bed of crimes and vices. People must have something to endure, as well as to enjoy.

I can understand that some may be offended by a Swastika, but it is absolutely illegal to destroy property. Humans were not born to live alone. Humans are linked to other living beings by a thousand ties; and, when those ties are broken, people ceases from all genuine existence.

I may not like your brown grass, it is offensive to me, but I cannot go on your property and water your lawn. That is a crime. At table, seated close together, there is a whole language in one’s neighbor’s elbow and an unlimited power of expression in its way of avoiding collisions.

You may not like the rims on my car, they might offend you, but if you steal them off of my car, that is a crime. You cannot just go on to private property and vandalize it because you are disturbed.

We now live in a World where people are not secure in their own property, others feel that if something is offensive, they can be a vigilante, break the law, and get away with it because they will be deemed a community hero. Well, guess what, that is wrong. The expediency of establishing the base of society on a principle of the most sordid character, one that is denounced by the revelations of God, and proved to be insufficient by the experience of man, may at least be questioned without properly subjecting the dissenter to the imputation of being a sheep-stealer.

In society, a genuine America never dreams of stepping across the inappreciable airlines which separates one class from another. There is an apartment complex, which used to be all white, they moved blacks in and now these blacks are ganging up on the whites and yelling at them and their guest and putting up all kind of childish decorations in the lobby and making other residents feel uncomfortable, but nothing is done about that.

These particular black women formed a cult and are trying to run the apartment complex. This cult is supposed to be the best thing that we have, but it is a crazy vessel worked by a crew that formerly practiced piracy, and now, in expiation, professes piety, fearful of a discovered omnipotence, which is the image of themselves and captain.

They kick on doors, invite themselves into other people’s apartments, threaten to kill people and assault people and are not evicted, warned or arrested.

This female lead cult is the epitome of all that is most worthless and amiable in the great sphere of human life. They also go around bragging about how they are putting people in check, and have actually made white men so uncomfortable that they move away or stay in their apartments, and out of the lobby, so they do not have to interact with these particular aggressive savages.

These black women also hate one of the biracial residents and harass him relentlessly and the management even gets in on it.

The reason we are having so many problems in America is because people are taught that if they are offended, they can break the law, take action, and no one will punish them because others might be offended by the fact that you are half white, or fully white, or have an American flag.

An iron furnace needed 20,000 acres of forest to produce a thousand tons of iron. A 40-acre field required 8,000 fence rails.

Rapid and often wasteful harvesting (spending) of the forest had many effect. As the colonists chopped down the forest canopy that had previously moderated the weather, the summers because hotter and the winters colder (climate change). One of those dark gloomy minds in which love always leads to jealous—a second ecological transformation occurred when animals brought by Europeans began to replace animals already in North America. Such animals provided food, leather, fibers for clothmaking, and the sheer pulling and carrying power relied on by a people who had no other source of energy than their own muscles.

While European livestock filled the land, the native fur-bearing animals—beaver, deer, bear, wolf, raccoon, and marten—rapidly became extinct in the areas of settlement. Prized for their skins, or hated as predators of domesticated animals, these species were hunted relentlessly as the colonists offered trade goods to Native Americans in exchange for pelts. One broken link in the ecological chain affected connecting links.

For example, the dams and ponds of the beaver, which had been breeding grounds for many species of wild ducks, soon were drained and converted to meadow on which grazing cattle could live. Soon many animals, like wild turkey, in Massachusetts became a rarity in Massachusetts, by the 1670s. Deer disappeared by the early 1700s in settled areas. Hunting with us exists chiefly in the tales of other times.

All of these environmental changes were linked not only to the numbers of Europeans arriving in North America, but also to their ways of thinking about nature. Looking out over the wooded hills and fertile valleys, transplanted Europeans could only imagine the possibility of raising valuable crops as if the ecosystem was composed of unconnected elements, each ripe for development and commerce. Land, lumber, fish, and fur-bearing animals could be converted into sources of cash that would buy imported commodities that improved one’s material conditions.

The New England writer Edward Johnson described the process perceptively as early as 1653: Who would have imagine, he mused, “That this wilderness should turn a mart for merchants in so short a space, Holland, France, Spain, and Portugal coming hither for trade?” Supplying these Europeans were the farmers, woodcutters, and fisherman who consigned to the marketplace huge portions of the ecosystem that in the World of Native Americas were all-important for sustain life but were not part of a transoceanic system of commercial exchange.

Come from homelands, where land was scarce, the settlers viewed their ability to reap nature’s abundance in North America as proof of their success. However, the rage for commerce and for an improved life produced wasteful practices on farms and in forests, the cattle, was treated with equal carelessness. Accustomed to the natural abundance once the native peoples had been driven from the land that was available, the colonists embarked on ecologically destructive practices that over a period of many generation profoundly altered the natural World around them.

So this is also the fear that many Americans has that illegal immigration will drastically alter their lives, culture and country because others do not understand our way of life or how to preserve the land and keep the population in balance. As a result, many people fear and hate illegal immigrants. However, we need to look at this situation from a micro perspective.

The Disney animated film, called The Little Mermaid is actually a romantic story about illegal immigration. A young mermaid, Ariel, is willing to give up her life, as princess of the sea, and her identity as a mermaid to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince. Ariel lives in the underwater kingdom with her father, and five sisters. When she turned 15, Ariel swam to the surface and fell in love with a prince.

However, his ship wrecked, while she was gazing at him, and Ariel saved his life, took him to the shore, and sang to him until he was lucid, right before dashing back in the sea. From that day on, Ariel knew she wanted to be human, live on the land, and marry Prince Eric, the man she saved.

The mermaid visits a sea witch (coyote), who sells her a potion that gives her legs, in exchange for her tongue, so the Ariel lost her most enchanting and beautiful voice, and was never able to return to the sea if she is kissed by the Prince in three days because part of his soul will flow into her, giving her a human life span and an essence. However, if Prince Eric does not fall in love with Ariel, she will die of a broken heart and disintegrate into the sea.

Much like Ariel, people want to come to America for a new life, and on the way to this country, many of them go missing or die. The ones who do make it live in fear, and cannot go home. Illegal immigrants cannot call the police when people commit crimes against them and often times they are beaten, raped, robbed, home invaded, and cars taken with no chance for justice or protection and people know that these people are vulnerable and target illegal immigrants because they have no one to turn to.

There are over 20 million illegal immigrants in America, and by 2043, Mexicans and Asians will out number the white majority, but I do not think we should deport people who are already in America, we need to respect them and grant them human rights. However, if you do not like illegal immigration, build a great wall to prevent it, or become partners with other governments so that we can get resources to help care for these people. Nonetheless, keep in mind that with immigration, we do not have population control in America, and space is limited.  “However, you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” – 1 Peter 2.9

The 14^th Amendment to the United States Constitution contains a clause prohibiting the governments of the individual states from denying any person the equal protection of the laws. I am thanking to have the opportunity to live in one of your nice units, but had I known that these apartments are specifically for the elder, disabled and former homeless, I would have never moved here. . Harassment is a serious issue, and though we might expect it on the street or even at work, it often blindsides us when we are at home. In some cases, the worse harassment comes from your neighbors.

In the past when I have spoken up about issues to management, all it did was create hostility in the environment. As far as the management goes, I am disgraced by their conduct far more than by its results. They have cameras in this building and everyone on the block hears the noise. This scene has been terribly painful, and I have my own health to consider. The Manager, Rene Johnson, spoke with the intention of making one see that, if his words implied a tentative allusion to her private affairs, she was prepared to meet and repudiate it. However, I recognized her meaning and it failed to abash me, and I went on in the same tone, “I did not mean to give offense; excuse me if I have spoken too plainly. However, you are not playing by the books-why do you put up this kind of bluff? You know there have been times when you were bothered–dammed bothered–and as a girl gets older, and things keep moving along, why, before she knows it, the things she wants are liable to move past her and not come back. I do not say it anywhere near that with you yet; but you have had a taste of bothers that a girl like yourself ought never to have known about, and what I am offering you is the chance to turn your back on them once for all.”

Some of these people, in this apartment complex are wild and have severe mental issues, and the management crams a lot of dysfunctional people all in one place and they sit around and gossip, slander and physically attack others, and the management pretends to not be aware of the issues in the building, even when you bring the matters to their attention. This environment is unsafe and unhealthy for anyone. One cannot even have peace in their own apartment without being disturbed.

The house law states that the landlord must maintain the rental in a safe and sanitary condition. The management and residents in my building have been harassing me and creating problems and the management pretends not to know what is going on and refuses to address the issues that take place in this apartment complex. I have spinal bifida and ulcerative colitis, recently had surgery on my bladder and also fractured two vertebrae in my spine, so I really need my peace and quiet so I can recover. These are physical and intestin issues. I am here for my security and protection. That picture is recent and look how bruised my neck still is at the date listed on the image, compared to the attack back, which happened in October of 2014.

Here are a few of the dangerous incidents that I have had to endure:

On 29 October 2014, at about 4.40pm, Betty from 1820 Capitol Avenue apartment 604, Sacramento, California 95811 choked me, twice, after cursing at me because I would not take her to the store she wanted to go to. I thought that this person had a touch of elegant familiarity to her appearance. I was silent, smiling faintly, with my eyes absently resting on his face, as Better was screaming and hollering at me, not sure why his image was on my mind. Nonetheless, I was in reality reflecting that a declaration would take some time to make, and that Caleb must surely appear before the moment of refusal had been reached. My brooding look, as of a mind withdrawn yet not avertted, seemd to Betty as full of subtle encouragement, and she choked me in my car. She would not have liked any evidence of eagerness. “I mean to have her too,” Betty repeated, with a laugh intended to strengthen her self-assurance. “I generally have got what I wanted in life, you little Bitch! I wanted money, and I’ve got more than I know hot to invest; and now the money doesn’t seem to be og, any account unless I can spent it on the right woman,” She explained.

On 1 January 2015, at 11.37 pm, I was in the shower and heard some loud banging noises on my door, when I went to check to see what it was, it was my neighbor, Carol, from 1820 Capitol Avenue, apartment 409, Sacramento, California 95811. Carol was intoxicated and kicking on my door because she was out of her mind and she would not let me close the door, I had to phone law enforcement. I went to my room and bolted the door, I was trembling with fear and anger–the rush of the furies’ wings was in my ears. There was not way to escape, I was shut in with dishonour. Someone was to come to me at four. I had to put him off without a word–but my heart leaped at the thought of seeing him. Oh, if he really understood, if he would help me. I remembered Gerty’s words: “I know him—he will help you”; and her mind clung to them as as sick person might cling to a healing relic. She said he would gather my broken life, and put it together in some new semblance in which no trace of the past should remain! He had always made me feel like I was worthy of better things, and that I never been in greater need of such solace. The police report number for this incident is: 2015-1802661

On 13 February 2015, at about 2.30pm, a person claiming to be from house, knocked on my door and demanded entry to do an inspection of my oven, which was unannounced, I let her come in and I was baking at the time and she asked me to open the oven so she could have a look inside, while I was cooking. Legally, housing has to give the tenants a 48 hour notice to enter the unit and that legal right was violated. However, the hour sped on and Caleb did not arrive, I was expecting a guest. Doubtless he had been detained, or had misread the hurriedly scrawled note, taking the four for a five. The ringing of the door-bell a few minutes after five confider this supposition, and made me hastily resolve to write more legibly in the future.

On 2 March 2015, the manager of the building, at 1820 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, California 95811, Rene Johnson put a 24 hour tow notice on my car, and I was not feeling well, someone knocked on my door and told me about it, so I went down to the office and talked to one of the technicians and he said that he would take care of it. The notice said that this is residents parking only, I have lived at this building for 7 years, and just resubmitted my parking audit on 4 November 2014, and my information is located on record in the office, so the manager, Rene Johnson, was simply creating a problem and not doing her job by checking the documents that are on file in the office to prevent situations like this.

Also, on 3 March 2014, I was in the bathroom throwing up, and there was a knock at my door, around 3.30pm. It was my neighbor Marty, for apartment 410, and he started hollering and screaming at me like he lost his mind. I had to call the police on him and file a report. As I was trying to leave the building, Marty kept screaming at me and throwing his hands and the air and kept forcing the elevator doors open. However, that is not my character: if I want a thing I am willing to pay: I do not go up to the counter, and then wonder if the article is worth the price. I would not be satisfied to entertain like the way Marty does. I want something that would look more easy and natural, more as if I took it in my stride. And it just takes two things to do that, money and the right person. The police report number for this incident is also: 2015-1802661.

In order to resolve this matter, I would like to live in a place where adults can respect each other and management does not create issues with the residents, but actively tried to solve them. If possible, I would like for a representative from HUD to talk to the management and residents to let them know it is not okay to harassing your neighbors or the people who are renting. The reaction to the way the neighbor’s have been troubling me and the threatening note Rene Johnson left on my car caused me a sharp pang, but after passing the movement of irritation at the clumsiness of fate, and at my own carelessness in not denying the door to all but Mr. Doug Johnson, I controlled myself and greeted Caleb amicably. It was annoying that when Doug came, should find that a particular visitor in possession, but I was the other reason he was out at night, I was all the things he thought she might, I was on the side and that was alright. Doug Johnson seemed distinctly negligible.

The colour burned in my face as he ended; there was no mistake the point he meant to make, and to permit it to pass unheeded was a fatal confession of weakness, while to resent it too openly was to risk offending him at a perilous moment.  Indignation quivered on my lip; but it was quelled by the secret voice which warned her, and even at the moment when it was essential that he should show himself at his best, he did not scruple to let her see how much he knew. How then would Doug use his power when my expression of contempt had dispelled his one motive for restraint? My whole future might hinge on my way of answering him: I had to stop and consider that, in the stress of my other anxieties, as a breathless lawyer may have to pause at the cross-roads and try to decide coolly which turn to take. And I have to have a place to live and the ability to support myself, as I cannot depend on anyone as a method of supplementing my income, therefore, I contacted HUD, a lawyer, the Department of Fair Housing and the media. I did not like the way I have been abused and violated.

I did not speak, and he continued,warming with his theme: “Tell you what it is, though, that kind of lifestyle you live and the way you look cost more than the rest of ’em put together. If you are going to ignore this reference to the pearls and family jewels, they want to be better than anybody else’s–and so it is with everything else. You know what I mean-you know it’s only showy things that are cheap. Well, I should want you to be able to take the Earth for granted if you wanted to. I know there’s one thing vulgar about money, and that’s the thinking about it; and Harris Would have to demean himself in the way.” He paused, and then added, with an unfortunate lapse to an earlier manner: “I guess you know the man I’ve got in my view.”

Nothing in the newspaper is ever true. And that is why they are so popular the taste of the age being so decidedly for fiction. Bear with me a little longer and I will show you that there is more to be said in God’s behalf. I get my knowledge from afar; I will ascribe justice to my Maker. Be assured that my words are not false; one perfect in knowledge is with you.

There are in most societies a set of self-important young men who borrow consequence from singularity and take precedency in wisdom from the unfeeling use of the ludicrous; this is at best a shallow quality; in objects of eternal moment, it is poisonous to society. The worst kind of slander is to speak well of everybody.

Slander: a lot that often falls from bad men’s mouths upon good men’s names and professions. Vice hath not a more abject slave; society produces not a more odious vermin; nor can the devil receive a guest more worthy of him, nor possibly more welcome to him, than a slanderer. Frequently do we labor to secure the things that debase us into slaves, and overwhelm us with calamity.

However, there is something indescribably delicious in concentration of the mind. It raises a man above himself and makes him feel a certain nobleness and elevation of character, of the possession of which he was to that hour unconscious. God is mighty, but does not despise men; he is mighty, and firm in his purpose. He does not keep the wicked alive, but he gives the afflicted their rights.

. God does not take his eyes off the righteous; he enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever. However, if men are bound in chains, held fast by cords of affliction, he tells them what they have done—that they have sinned arrogantly. He makes them listen to the correction and commands them to repent of their evil.

We are long before we are able to think, and we soon cease from the power of acting. Thought was busy though the lips were silent. Excessive rumination and self-questioning is perhaps a morbid habit inevitable to a mind of much moral sensibility when shut out from its due share of outward activity and of practical claims on its affections.

Beware of turning to evil, which you seem to prefer to affliction. Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you and you shall answer me. Where were you when I laid the Earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!

Who dares open the doors of his mouth, ringed about with his fearsome teeth? What are men to rocks and mountains? When we return [from our travels], it shall not be like other travelers, without being able to give one accurate idea of anything. Let out first effusions be less insupportable than those of the generality of travelers.

As the brother never foresaw anything at a distance, but was most sagacious in immediately seeing everything the moment it happened; so the sister eternally foresaw at a distance, but was not so quick-sighted to objects before her eyes. As the sister often foresaw what never came to pass, so the brother often saw much more than was actually the truth.

All things on Earth have their price; and for truth we pay the dearest. We barter it for love and sympathy. It is a melancholy truth that even a great person has their poor relations. The road to honor is paved with thorns; but on the path to truth, at every step you set your foot down on your own heart.

After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before. All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house.

They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought upon him, and each one have him a piece of silver and a gold rim. The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had a fourteen thousand square foot mansion, six BMWs, several flat screen TVs and money. And he also had seven sons and three daughters.

Nowhere in all the land was there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers. After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. And so he died, old and full of years.

There is no China Wall that man can build in his soul, which shall permanently stay the irruptions of those barbarous hordes which Truth ever nourishes in the loins of her frozen, yet teeming North; so that the Empire of Human Knowledge can never be lasting in any one dynasty, since Truth still gives new Emperors to the Earth. Bless it be.

There is no calamity in life that falls heavier upon human nature than a disappointment in love. I find it sad that old flames try so hard to get my attention, to the point they plot, with their friends, for revenge. Their revenge is light hearten, compared to the past, and rather immature and I am surprise that any adult would knowingly take part in the sophomoric games.

It really speaks volumes about how your form of interest is rooted in fear. I will be straight up with you, do not take your time to pay attention to what someone you like is interested in, they will disappoint you. If a person cannot respect you for who you are and share in things you like, they are not worth your time….I am telling you from experience. Just be you, and if that is not good enough, there is someone better for you out there.

It is not always easy to maintain such optimistic thinking in response to rejection. Indeed, especially when individuals have become close to one another, feelings may become quite intense. We are mostly accustomed to look upon all opposition, which is not animate as that of the stolid, inexorable hand of indifference, which wears out the patience more than the strength.

Reader, do you know, as I do, what terror those cold people can put into the ice of their questions? How much of the fall of avalanche is in their anger? Of the breaking up of the frozen sea in their displeasure? Whence can all the quarrels, and jealousies, and jars, proceed, in people who have no love for each other, unless from that noble passion, that desire of curing each other of a smile.  The only chance of happiness lies in the isolated companionship of mated souls. I must learn to brook being happier than I deserve.

I have made a fool of myself, but you drove me to it. I ought to have been commended by your, for I am not in the least inferior to the “super-apostles,” even though I am northing. My heart does not work, I cannot love. All I want out of life is money. Money can only give happiness where there is nothing else to give it.

Philosophy never had any remedy that can cure an indifferent mind. Indifference is generally the inseparable companion of a weak and imperfect judgment. Indifference is next to hatred and I am sorry, you are not good enough for me. You look very common, you are mean and sneaky and I want nothing to do with you, please leave me alone.

The frigid theories of a generalizing age have destroyed the individuality of man. Social expectations of instant sex can present a challenge to those who want to move gradually into a sexual relationship. What can you do to let another person know that you are not yet ready for sex, or that you want a relationship to progress slowly? It is often helpful to begin by indicating that you find the person attractive.

You can acknowledge your desire for greater sexual intimacy, yet be definite about not being ready. Finally, you can let a partner know what kind of physical contact you want at a given point in the relationship; this can help avoid misunderstandings and reassure the other person. I appreciate your interest in me, but I am not attracted to you enough to want to develop a relationship with you.

Most of us have experience loving someone who does not reciprocate these feelings. Furthermore, we are probably familiar with both sides of this phenomenon of unrequited love. To many people, saying no affects their feelings of self-worth. A person who is rejected may feel unattractive, boring, unsexy, unintelligent, or inherently unlovable. However, all of us experience rejection at some time, because our traits cannot match every person’s preferences.

The vary characteristics that one person finds undesirable may well appeal to another, and the right to choose not to become involved with someone is certainly a right that most people want. Furthermore, in some instances people may reject romantic advances because they are already involved in an intimate relationship with another or because they do not wish to experience a close relationship at that point in their lives.

Although rejection can still be a painful experience, a few strategies may be helpful in dealing with being turned down or rejected. It is important to remember that each of us has worth, regardless of whether all people approve of us. Also, defending yourself to someone who has said no is not likely to be helpful, because being turned down is usually not a criticism but simply an expression of individual preference. Finally, even though rejection may make us want to give up on continued attempts to form close relationships, we can avoid rejection completely only if we isolate ourselves from most kinds of social interaction.

Love, the gay child of sympathy and esteem, is when, attended by delicacy, the only happiness worth a reasonable man’s pursuit, and the choicest gift of Heaven. As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine. Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!

And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such men and women are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. However, if I do, then receive me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting. In this self-confident boasting, I am not talk as the Lord would, but as a fool. Since many are boasting in the way the World does, I too will boast. You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise! In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of your or pushes himself forward or slaps you in the face. To my shame, I admit that we were too weak for that!! (I am out of my mind to talk like this.)

I am more. I have worked much harder, been in reformatory more frequently, been flogged more severely, raped, and been exposed to death again and again.  Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from the nations; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers.

I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn? If I must boast, I will boast of things that show my weakness.

To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surprisingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. However, he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong, but my heart will never love you.
