Human Events are Conjoined by Links Imperceptible to Keenest Eyes

No bond unites congenial hearts more firmly than that of a common great aim. Monarchies, aristocracies, and religions are all based on that large defect in your race—the individual’s distrust of his or her neighbor, and one’s desire for safety’s or comfort’s sake to stand well in our neighbor’s thoughts. It is important that I learn not to be disobedient to the Heavenly vision—not to doubt that it can be attained. It is not enough to give mental assent to the fact that God has redeemed the Word, nor even to know that the Holy Spirit can make all that Jesus Christ did a reality in my life. I must have the foundation of a personal relationship with Him. There would be nothing there without a person relationship. As children of God, we must learn to make room for Him. We plan and figure and predict that this or that will happen, but we forget to make room for God to come in as He chooses. The way to make room for God is to expect Him to come, but not in a certain way. No matter how well we may know God, the great lesson to learn is that He may grace of with his love and presence at any minute. #RandolphHarris 1 of 7

Look at you in war—what muttons you are, and how ridiculous! There have never been a just one, never an honorable one—on the part of the instigator of war. The loud little handful, as usual, will shout for war and demand a fight. The pulpit will, warily and cautiously, object at first; the great, big, dull bulk of the nation will rub its sleepy eyes and try to make out why there should be a war, and will say earnestly and indignantly, “It is unjust and dishonorable, and there is no necessity for it.” Then the handful will shout louder. And now the whole nation—pulpit and all—will take up the war and holler and scream like they lost their minds and have never seen sanity a day in their lives and mob any honest person who ventures to open his or her mouth; and presently, such mouths will cease to open. Next, the media and political leaders will invent cheap lies, putt the blame upon the nation that is attacked, and every person will be glad of those conscience—soothing wild facts, fake news and falsities, and will diligently study them. #RandolphHarris 2 of 7

Am I continually separating myself and looking to God every day of my life? These people will worship these reporters and the news like they are gods and speaking the Scripture, and refuse to examine any refutations of them; and thus, they will convince themselves that the war and salacious gossip is just and will thank God for the better sleep they enjoy after this process of grotesque self-deception. Meanwhile, they will curse us all with miseries and maladies of mind and body, and with their corrupt mouths will invent injustice and hell with their persuasive speeches of people paying their fair share, while increasing the cost of living for us all. They will talk about rights for criminals, and try to shuffle the responsibility for their acts upon us; and finally, they will invite our people to worship them, but ignore God and the Holy Bible. It is in consideration of this conviction that mature philosopher is presented as a dream, a dream which, with the passage of time, can truly be called prophetic. #RandolphHarris 3 of 7

Consecration is the act of continually separating myself from everything except that which God has appointed me to do. It is not a onetime experience, but an ongoing process. Our Lord says to be careful about one thing—our relationship to Him. However, our common sense says, “That is absurd. I must consider how I am going to live, and I must consider what I am doing to eat and drink.” However, Jesus Christ says you must not. Beware of allowing yourself to think that He says this while not understanding your circumstances. Jesus Christ knows our circumstances better than we do, and He says we must not think about these things to the point where they become the primary concern of our life. Whenever we are obstinate and self-willed and set on our own ambitions, we are hurting God. Every time we stand on our own rights, we are persecuting Him. Whenever we reply on self-respect, we grieve His Spirit. All I do should be based on a perfect oneness with God. This will mean that others may use me, go around me, or completely ignore me, but if I will submit to it for God’s sake, I will prevent God and Jesus Christ from being persecuted. #RandolphHarris 4 of 7

The feelings of fear—whether tension and anxiety, shyness, self-consciousness, caution, holding us back, or distrust—have the purpose of escape from the imagined threat, and to put psychological distance from the feared situation or person. Paradoxically, because the fear is powerful, the very process of holding it in mind can make that which is feared come into our life. It is like a self-fulfilling prophecy. The energy of fear generates an inner focus on all the negative things that could happen, and that focus can coalesce the appearance of the very events that we fear the most. Fear, therefore, is giving away our power to another person and enabling them to do the very thing that we feared. The insecure person is fearful and prone to jealousy, clinging, possessiveness, and attachment to things that do not belong to them. The purpose of these feelings is to bind and tightly possess the other, or their goods and services, to achieve security by preventing loss and, at times, to punish the other for our own loss. #RandolphHarris 5 of 7

The other person will feel pressured by that energy of dependency and possessiveness, and will feel their life is in danger and that they need to run for freedom and escape you and that environment. When people know you want to control them, their urge is to resist. That is why law enforcement generally tried to talk to people and make them understand that they must comply. They will say things like, “You are putting us and the community in danger, and we need you to calm down. The laws are here for your safety.” This means letting go of inner fears for your safety. God has to destroy our determined confidence in our own convictions. We say, “I know that this is what I should do”—and suddenly the voice of God speaks in a way that overwhelms us by revealing the depths of our ignorance. We show our ignorance of God in the very way we decide to serve Him. We serve Jesus Christ in a spirit that is not His and hurt Him by our defense of Him.  #RandolphHarris 6 of 7

It can be difficult to see how merely contiguous material parts could form an organic whole capable of a unified and purposeful response to its environment. Traditionally, the existence of unique species and individuals have been explained by recourse to supernatural design and metaphysical essence. Molecular combinations endowed with specialized functions and organic unity. A swarm of bees is a whole that is qualitatively unique and different from the sum of its parts. Although the swarm consists simply of numerous separate individuals in physical contact, it foes, as a whole, possess the characteristic of purposeful, unified behavior that is associated with the individual organism. It is possible to mistake the swarm of thousands of bees for a single animal. The unity of the organism is derived from the life of the whole. The unity of the organism is derived from the life of the whole, and affirms the continuity of the kingdoms and refutes the metaphysical principle of essences. The discovery of the organic cell and the principles of the cell division confirms this view. #RandolphHarris 7 of 7

The Sacred Mirror of the Soul of God’s Vision

If you meet each development of every question in the most natural and reasonable manner—presupposing that you possess that highest attribute of civilization, common sense—no question will ever resolve itself into a problem. And difficulties usually disappears as the range of vision contracts. Because I utter commonplace words, you must not suppose I think only commonplace thoughts. Let us always have people ready to give the loving pains of a life to the faithful in representing of commonplace things—people who see beauty in these commonplace things, and delight in showing how kindly the light of Heaven falls on them, even while we are talking about the Earth’s orbit and the solar system, what we feel and adjust our movements to is the stable Earth and the changing day. I shall know why, when time is over, and I have ceased to wonder why; Christ will explain each separate anguish in the fair schoolroom of the sky. He will tell me what Peter promised, and I, for wonder at his woe, I shall forget the drop of anguish that scalds me now, that scalds me now. #RandolphHarris 1 of 7

My great ambition is to acquire knowledge. Some of my ideas may be too advanced for my own generation, but I maintain the conviction that I will someday be appreciated at my true value. It is my goal to be eminently successful, and emerge from this period of self-education with an excellent command of mathematics and considerable proficient in Greek, Italian, and English culture. Having mind or attitude that is open to new ideas and opinions is important. However, doubt is the beginning of wisdom and often its end. Our true opinions are those to which we return most often. Developing a philosophy of science which looks far into the future is a useful way for speeding up discourse and the foundation upon which sciences are built; but as symbols emptied of their ideas, they are obstacles to clear thinking. Those who use abstractions must have constant recourse to examples, giving them perceptibility and physical reality. The mind is nothing but the brain functioning; the will is the latest impulse of desire and aversion. The naming of things is purely conventional. #RandolphHarris 2 of 7

It is just amazing that the blind are unable to appreciate the alleged perfection of the order and beauties of nature, and express their constant doubts as to the existence of nature, but people with vision rarely enjoy and proceed to discuss aesthetic theories, especially the importance of gesture to communication. Am I seeking only for the evidence of God’s kingdom, or am I actually recognizing His absolute sovereign control? The new birth gives me a new power of vision by which I begin to discern God’s control. It was a warm Summer’s day and the golden daisies were in full bloom, the scent of lilac tickled my nose and intimately caressing my heart, causing it to fluttered like a butterfly. God’s sovereignty was there all the time, but with God being true to His nature, I could not see it until I received God’s very nature myself. It is possible to know all about doctrine and still not know Jesus. A person’s soul is in grave danger when the knowledge of doctrine surpasses Jesus Christ, avoiding intimate touch with Him. Do I have a person history with Jesus Christ? The one true sign of discipleship is intimate oneness with Him—a knowledge of Jesus that nothing can shake. #RandolphHarris 3 of 7

Observation and the classification of natural phenomena are the first and essential step, but the great scientist must perceive relationships and form hypotheses, subject to experimental verification. Have I ever heard Jesus Christ say something difficult and unyielding to me? Has He said something personally to me to which I have deliberately listened—something I have heard Him say directly to me? Our Lord knows perfectly well that once His word is truly heard, it will yield results in our present lives. Will we final makes up our minds to be devoted to Him? The poetic imagination is closely associated with the scientific, both in theory and practice. To the genius, whether poet or scientist, will come to sudden perception of a new relationship, resulting in poetic metaphor or useful hypothesis can be answered by considering has God’s Word ever come to you, pointing out an area of your life, requiring you to yield to Him? Maybe He has pointed out certain personal qualities, desires, and interest, or possibly relationships of your heart and mind. If so, then you have often been speechless with sorrow. #RandolphHarris 4 of 7

Discouragement is disillusioned self-love, and self-love may be love for my devotion to Jesus Christ—not love for Jesus Himself. My own mind works in sudden flashes of perception. My best philosophical works are random or loosely associated thoughts or observations—or dreams. The Universe is a single physical system, obeying immutable laws assigned to matter in motion; it is dynamic or becoming, rather than static or created. Motion was not added, but is essential to matter. Not only bodies are affected by external force, but the atom contains internal forces, a form of kinetic or potential energy. All things carry with them their opposites; being and not-being are part of every whole. Living, I act and react as a mass; dead, I act and react in the form of molecules. Birth, life, decay, are merely changes of form. No knowledge is gained, no solution reached, in postulating a Creator or supernatural agency to account for material phenomena. All changes, including the transformation of the Universe from chaos to order, is to be explained by the interaction of the elementary material particles. What human beings perceive as order is simply their apprehension of the laws of motion as enacted by material bodies. #RandolphHarris 5 of 7

If Jesus Christ is truly a regenerator, someone who can put His own heredity of holiness into me, then I can begin to see what He means when He says that I have to be holy. Redemption means that Jesus Christ can put into anyone the hereditary nature that was in Himself. The proper action on my part is simply to agree with God’s verdict on sin as judged on the Cross of Christ. Our Lord took on Himself the sin of the World through identification with us, not through sympathy for us. He deliberately took on His own shoulders, and endured in His own body, the complete, cumulative sin of the human race. Jesus Christ reconciled the human race, putting it back to where God designed it to be. And now anyone can experience that reconciliation, being brought into oneness with God. By postulating both motion and sensitivity as inherent in matter, the entire range of natural phenomena (both physical and mental) and the full variety of experience can be adequately explained. All that nature contains is the product of matter in motion, subject to the process of fermentation produced by heat; through eons of time growth, increasing complexity, and specialization have occurred. #RandolphHarris 6 of 7

There are no inexplicable gulfs between the various kingdoms. The known facts concerning the inorganic, the organic, plant, animal, and humans, are like islands jutting out of a sea of ignorance. As the waters receded through scientific investigation, the missing links will be discovered. The things we are going through are either making us sweeter, better, and nobler men and women, or they are making us more critical and fautfindings and more insistent on our own way. When we understand God’s purpose, we will not become unwilling to accept or consider other people’s different ideas and behavior, nor will we become cynical. Jesus prayed nothing less for us than absolute oneness with Himself, just as He was one with the Father. Some of us are far from this oneness; yet God will not leave us alone until we are one with Him. God, your enthusiasm warms my ice-cold heart; your brevity encourages my enduring  for love; your care arouses my gratitude. May we long for the bright future throughout the wave light and fog of the love lake. #RandolphHarris 7 of 7

The Candle Durst Not Oppose the Sun

I lost the World the other day. Has anybody found? You will know it by the row of stars around its forehead bound. A rich man might not notice it; yet to my frugal eye of more esteem than ducats. Oh, find it, sir, for me! The word “civilization” was derived from an actual social condition, that social, intellectual, and artistic sense is a metaphorical term derived from the act of cultivating the soil. In the case of “civilization” there was an apparently simple contrast with “barbarism,” another social condition, which was originally a description of the life of a foreign group. In the case of “culture” there was no such simple contrast. The cultivation of the mind was seen as a process comparable to the cultivation of the soil; hence, the early meanings of “culture,” in this metaphorical sense, centered on a process, the culture of the mind, rather an on an achieved state. The first important development from this metaphorical use of culture was description of certain people as cultivated and then those who are cultivated. In this use the meaning is very close to civilized. #RandolphHarris 1 of 11

A perfectly civilized state is just respect for property: a state in which no one takes wrongfully what belongs to another. Culture came to mean a general state or habit of the mind, with close relations to the idea of human perfection. Second, it came to mean a general state of intellectual and moral development in a society as a whole. Third, it came to mean, the general body of the arts and intellectual work. Fourth, it came to mean the whole way of life, material, intellectual, and spiritual, of a given society. Basically, civilization of general humanity and an external civilization is a progress calculated by reference to things other than humankind. It is part of a romantic movement, in describing intellectual and social phenomena, and has a high valuation of folk life and national tradition. This was not only a contrast with what was often seen as a merely sophisticated civilization, but also an emphasis on the particular distinctive customs and arts of different people—what would later be called their national cultures, as distinct from what was still seen as the general and uniform development of civilization. #RandolphHarris 2 of 11

Culture is here seen as a process and a state of cultivation that should be a Universal idea. A new study has suggested that belief in all-powerful Gods is absolutely vital for the development of civilization. Archaeologist have found that large ceremonial monuments, such as the monuments in Egypt, Ancient Greece, and Rome, and the Castle and Greek statues at the Capitol Castle in Sacramento, California USA, Hearst Castle built by William Randolph Hearst with, the Winchester Mansion built by Sarah and William Winchester, along with Stone Hinge, and the buried megaliths at Gobekli tepe, in Turkey and the Catacombs in Paris, France seem to preceded big farming communities, and must have been built by communities working together under one belief system. Religious people have proven that they are likely to be more cooperative because they sense the watchful eyes of an all-powerful deity monitoring their actions. A large part of the success of humanity lies in the hands of Gods. The idea that moralistic, punitive, all-knowing Gods may play a significant role in seeing individuals cooperate peacefully with wider social circles.  #RandolphHarris 3 of 11

This usage of culture is ethical and, indeed, spiritual and expressed an ideal of human perfection. It can easily conflict with the emphasis on particular cultures, which stresses the differences in the ways in which humans find meaning and value in their lives and, indeed, conceive of perfection itself. In the modern World, we rely on government’s courts and the police and highway patrol and federal agents to deter and punish those who would otherwise undermine social coordination. However, how did human societies achieve and sustain cooperation before these institutes existed? One possibility is religion. They found the higher individuals rated their Gods as being moralistic, knowledgeable and punishing, the more likely they were to behave, act civilized, and share their religious beliefs with others. Under the watchful gaze of supernatural agents, people modified their behaviour in an effort to avoid the wrath of God. The belief in rewards from the God could not account for the results. #RandolphHarris 4 of 11

This latter emphasis, now widespread in anthropology and sociology, is necessarily relative and comparative, whereas the surviving idealist emphasis tends to be absolute and is most commonly associated with the classical and Christian heritage of Europe. It is more likely that a belief in divine retribution or supernatural punishment may have fostered a good behaviour which promoted trust, cooperation and fairness in dealing with others. Over time these deities spread culturally and came to dominate the World religions, and as traditions grew, they accounted for a large proportion of the World’s population. Actual artistic and intellectual work often fails to conform to the idea of a perfect or perfecting state of mind already associated with known, traditional meanings and values. Through sharing belief and standards of behaviour, commitments to the same Gods meant followers living in different, distant places had similar expectations about how to behave with others. They refer to what people do and think, without regard to any artistic or intellectual merit. #RandolphHarris 5 of 11

In any case these uses of culture include elements of social and economic life (especially institutions) that do not seem to be cultured in the artistic, religious, and intellectual sense at all. There is, an important controversy within anthropology and sociology concerning the concept of culture. Many people now believe as long as you are rich or having high paying jobs that it is okay to steal from and abuse others, especially vulnerable populations like seniors, disabled, women, children, and poor men. And these same people who worship money and status think it is okay to condemn all others. And, indeed, the idea of culture raises many of the fundamental issues of Western civilization and has become a major point of division between idealist and historical methods in intellectual and artistic criticism. It has also been a focus of the attempt to see societies as wholes, in new ways and with new interest in their various aspects. In this respect, the emphasis on culture has been an attempt to redefine the nature of society and of civilization. #RandolphHarris 6 of 11

Our findings suggest the threat of punishment from a God if that individual did not reach out to help strangers may have been one of the reasons for the close bounds that developed between different communities across the World. However, since the new colosseum has been built in Sacramento, for the Basketball players, called “The Golden 1 Center,” we have seen the culture in Sacramento, California USA change. The new sports complex cost nearly $600,000,000.00 USD. More than 50 percent of it was funded by public money, which the public was not allowed to have a say in. And the rents and taxes and fees the people are now paying have gone up significantly. Rents in Sacramento, California has increased 25 percent since 2012, which is an increase of $500.00 a month. A person with a minimum wage job would have to work 89 hours to afford an apartment in the county of Sacramento. City leaders and the media have become greedy public figures, who no longer represent the people of Sacramento, nor their best interest. To many social thinkers, this primacy of the organization of material life is not acceptable. #RandolphHarris 7 of 11

Sacramento used to be a peaceful and sleepy little village Austrian village. People now worship this new sports colosseum like they have gold fever or something, meanwhile many small businesses are being forced to closed because of increasing rents and people are being priced out of their houses. The prefixed praise of the new sporting complex by city leaders and the media, who all seem to be in cahoots, is somewhat misleading, since the praise of reason which it contains has been followed by limitations on the general public. In this new culture, Satan is the hero and God has become the villain. And people who wish to live their lives in accordance to God’s law are often looked upon as a threat to a society of corruption and greed. Many do not see the beneficial influence of religion on culture and civilization. Western culture is unthinkable without Christianity. Dedication to God has motivated believers to contribute to education, healthcare, good citizenship, equal rights for women and men, all ethnic backgrounds, and sexual preferences, and is what many see as characteristics of a civilized society. #RandolphHarris 8 of 11

Most of us are not consistent spiritually because we are more concerned about being consistent externally. In the external expression of things, Paul lived in the basement, while his critics lived on the upper level. And these two levels do not begin to touch each other. However, Paul’s consistency was down deep in the fundamentals. The great basis of his consistency was the agony of God in the redemption of the World, namely, the Cross of Christ. Pay attention to the external Source and the internal power will be there. We lose power because we do not focus on the right thing. Concentrate on God’s focal point. We have to focus on the great point of spiritual power—the cross. If we stay in contact with that center of power, its energy is released in our lives. We must never allow anything to interfere with the consecration of our spiritual power. Consecration (being dedicated to God’s service) is our part; sanctification (being set apart from sin and being made holy) is God’s part. We must make a deliberate determination to be interested only in what God is interested. The way to make that determination is to ask yourself, “Is this the kind of thing in which Jesus Christ is interested?” #RandolphHarris 9 of 11

The greatest spiritual blessing we receive is when we come to the knowledge that we are destitute. Until we get there, our Lord is powerless. He can do nothing for us as long as we think we are sufficient in ourselves. We must enter into God’s kingdom through the door of destitution. As long as we are “rich,” particularly in the area of pride or independence, God can do nothing for us. Self-awareness depends entirely on the remembering function of the human brain. The control exerted by the central organ over the organs of the body is applied not only to dreams, but also to the phenomenon of genius. In sleep, control is relaxed and anarchy reigns. A random recall in the central organ may then be reversed, from organ to brain. In dreams, random combination may be formed and dragons created. Only personal past experience is available, however, for such imaginings. The one impossible dream is that the dreamer is someone else. Strong emotions are the chief source of the good, the true, and the beautiful. #RandolphHarris 10 of 11

The great actor, with complete command of one’s emotions, makes their audience laugh or weep by coolly calculated gestures and intonation; one must register the emotions, but not feel them at the same time. The dominating control by the center produced wise and good people, but that genius is the result of the strongest emotions under almost complete control. Genius is not a mere talent produced by education and chance, but a psychophysiological phenomenon, and in that respect akin, when central control is lost, to madness. The proper perspective of a servant of God must not simply be as near to the highest as on can get, but it must be the highest. Be careful that you vigorously maintain God’s perspective, and remember that it must be done every day, little by little. Do not think on a finite level. No outside power can touch the proper perspective. All of God’s people are ordinary people who have been made extraordinary by the purpose God has given them. Unless we have the right purpose intellectually in our minds and lovingly in our hearts, we will quickly be diverted from being useful to God. #RandolphHarris 11 of 11

The Wisdom of God in the Works of Creation #ASOT811

You are a gift from God. Material objects are simply collections of inert space-filling atoms, it is at once obvious that minds cannot be material objects. For by their very nature, minds are centers of activity. Nerve fibers in the brain allow us to detect sensations and colours. Furthermore, unless there is a mind which is capable of looking beyond its immediate sensations, we could never even discover that there are material objects, nor could we fall into error. In addition to conscious minds and material objects, there are at work in the Universe, spiritual plastic powers, which are capable, like minds, of acting and having purpose but not of being conscious. They operate even in the human soul, as is particularly clear in our dreams; the activities of organisms derive wholly from them. God works through such powers, although he does not directly govern their day-to-day activities, and it is by virtue of their presence in nature that nature can properly be described as spiritual.  #RandolphHarris 1 of 8

By desiring what is perfectly good, even when we do not quite know what it is and cannot do what we would, we are part of the divine power against evil—widening the skirts of light and making the struggles with darkness narrower. Sensation never gives knowledge. Knowledge is possible only wen mind has itself as it object, whereas in sensation the mind is remote from its object. Furthermore, sensation cannot make us aware of such general concepts as cause, effect, means, end, order, and proportion, which are essential to knowledge. By their nature, sensations are incomplete and fragmentary. They arouse concepts in us, by which we systematize them, but the concepts, not the sensations, are the true objects of knowledge. The objects of knowledge, then, are modifications of the mind. However, knowledge is of eternal truths, the existence of which is quite independent of our existence. The greater the sinner, the greater the saint. Eternal truths must relate ideas in the mind of an eternal and immutable beings—God. #RandolphHarris 2 of 8

However, how are we to tell that we have achieved knowledge, since we have no access to God’s mind? The only criterion is the clarity and distinctness of our ideas. Reliability of the criterion of clarity and distinctness proves the existence of a God whose nature is such that he would not deceive us; nothing can be more certain than that what we clearly and distinctly perceive must be true. An individual, while one practices every vice that can disgrace human nature, may imagine one is doing God service. Things are what they are not by Will, but by Nature. Not even God, let alone a merely human sovereign, can, make an act good merely by willing it, for it is either eternally true or eternally false that acts of a certain kind are good. Even though it is, in fact, the case that God wills only what is good, the goodness of what he wills is not constituted by his willing it; one the contrary, he wills what is good because it is good. No doubt, an act which is in its own nature morally indifferent can come to be good—although only in a derivative formal sense—because God has commanded it. #RandolphHarris 3 of 8

However, this is only by virtue of the general principle that obedience to God is good, and we cannot without circularity suppose that the goodness of such obedience is founded on its being commanded. How are we going to get a life that has no lust, no self-interest, and is not sensitive to the ridicule of others? The only way is by allowing nothing of the old life to remain and by having only simple, perfect trust in God—such a trust that we no longer want God’s blessings, but only want God Himself. This moral psychology is the Spirit of God witnessing to the redemption of our Lord and to nothing else. The Spirit witnesses only to His own nature and to the work of redemption, never to our reason. If we are trying to make God witness to our reason, it is no wonder that we are in darkness and uncertainty. Trust in God and he will give you the witness of Spirit. It is really the human or the soul that understands and the human or the soul that wills, as it is also the human, not the will, that is free. There is an increased awareness that life is filtered through perception, and what is going on is primarily attitudes and perceptions rather than self-existent, external realities. #RandolphHarris 4 of 8

It is easier to stop reacting to people internally as well as externally by becoming familiar with the nature of consciousness. The faculties are ways in which the mind acts, not entities within the mind. Every act is once an act of will, the expression of an instinct or inclination, and an intellectual act. Reason never a motive to action. The mind is inherited and has a brain run by genes, chromosomes and a genetically determined personality set. Many of the personality’s major characteristics are already present at birth. Few people can actually be different from what they are. It is only the minority of people who seek self-improvement or spiritual growth. The instincts and inclinations cause a series of actions to start that will help you achieve what you want and employ the thinking, consulting and speculative power. The conflicts in our soul are not between faculties but between opposing ways of life—the animal, egoistic life and the spiritual life, with its concern for the common good. #RandolphHarris 5 of 8

Each person is merely fulfilling their own destiny. It is easier to stop reacting to people internally as well as externally by becoming familiar with the nature of consciousness. Lovingness is an attitude that transforms one’s experience of the World. We become grateful for what we have instead of prideful. We express our lovingness when we acknowledge others and their contributions to life and to our convenience. Love is not an emotion, but a way of being and relating to the World. Freedom does not consist in indifference—that is, in exercising a quite arbitrary act of power; it lies in our capacity to prefer the spiritual to the animal life. Free will, in this view, is not a source of sin. We sin through failure to choose the best, not by freely choosing the worst. In our society, people seldom take responsibility for the provocation, temptation, or hurled insult. It serves spiritual progress to always accept accountability for all that befalls when you instigate a reaction and avoid the trap of being a victim. #RandolphHarris 6 of 8

However, what about our freedom to choose the best? Is this a purely arbitrary power, or is it determined by the general nature of the soul which chooses? Saint Vitus was a young lad from Sicily. He died as a martyr during the persecution of Christians by co-ruling Roman Emperors Diocletian and Maximian in 303. Vitus is counted as one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers of medieval Roman Catholicism. No one knows how old he was until the King took his life for the things he told about being honest and believing in God. The World is full of wickedness. So, Vitus says, “if you believe in God above you will all be saved. Lust can breed corruption, so wash it from your life. Do not believe in others, let your soul decide.” And so the King Grey was furious, he said “His end is in sight. Young Vitus must be stopped. The little child must die.” Saint Vitus—heard his distant cream. Saint Vitus—died for his beliefs. So, if you breed wickedness, keep this in mind. Vitus’ soul is watching you through the veils of time. #RandolphHarris 7 of 8

The triumph of human’s intellect, the proof of our power, is to make the serpent who inhabits us fight against himself, till he is destroyed. The good and the ill are one while their lids are closed. People seldom commit a sin without intending to derive benefit from it. We act well only when we act out of love, not out of sense of duty. The good life is free, disinterested, above egoism, harmonious, concordant, and therefore beautiful. All vice is a variety of self-love. Never tolerate, because of sympathy for yourself or for other, any practice that is not in keep with a Holy God. Holiness means absolute purity of your walk before God, the words coming from your mouth, and every thought in your mind—placing every detail of your life under the scrutiny of God Himself. Holiness is not simply what God gives me, but what God has given me that is being exhibited in my life. Well, people always stay the same. They never seem to learn until they have lost their faith and their souls have burned. #RandolphHarris 8 of 8

#ASOT811 The Authority of Truth and Instructions for Reasonable Life

My love was founded on a rock and it endures. You cannot look away. The mesmerized look in your eyes reveals that watching and listening seems to put you in a trance, and you emerge feeling better. We know from our own experience that the love we have deeply longed for has always been right here.   Peace does not depend on the World looking peaceful, and everything we wanted to be rid of is an expression of the wholeness we are, and that transformation can happen when our minds stop trying to control everything and allow things, moments, people, and feeling to be felt is deeply loving. These aspects of our lives are logically connected with the ideas of human freedom, moral vision, moral criticism, ideas of inventiveness, originality, and the life of the imagination. You are in a trance when you experience past life recall. The recall comes from your unconscious mind, which creates the images that come back up to the surface of your conscious mind. Any times you remember an image you go into a trance, and every time you go into a trance, you are experiencing a form of self-hypnosis. #RandolphHarris 1 of 9

The intellectual life is a social venture. The easier the subject accepts the suggestions from the DJ or music, the more likely he or she is to enter a deeper hypnotic state. This is a term known as fantasy prone personality that describes someone who easily enters a deep trance. The more someone is open to the imaginations, the greater the potential that person have for experiencing a hypnotic trance. Philosophical judgments are ways in which experience progresses toward its goal of intelligibility, and the task of such judgments is to disclose the implications of dynamic coordinates of experience: mind, nature, and other selves. Reality cannot be identified with mind, will, or personality but must be comprehended as a system in which each entity plays a part as an individual and as a significant function of the purposeful whole. Who can part, forever; only when we come so close that nothing separates us can we meet again, only when what binds us is not my need of you or your need of me nor any chance circumstance, but a deep ingrained likeness of nature that cannot pass away.  #RandolphHarris 2 of 9

Sentiment is a disgrace instead of an ornament, unless it leads us to good actions. Creation of the World was freely willed by God, as in no way necessitated, as his nature is love. There is no lack or insufficiency in God that needs the creating of the World to remedy it. Love demands society and community, but the divine society of the Trinity is itself thought of as supplying this scope of love, from eternity. It is possible, therefore, to see the creation of the World as a wholly gratuitous exercise of love. The mysteries of religion can sometimes be beyond human reason, but also contradict it. Something may be unthinkable for human reason that is not so for God in itself. Faith always works in a personal way, because the purpose of God is to see that perfect faith is made real in His Children. Faith is a tremendously active principle that always puts Jesus Christ first. Our faith is limitless. Faith is the entire person in the right relationship with God through the power of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Faith by its very nature must be tested and tried. And the real trail of faith is not that we find it difficult to test God, but that God’s character must be proven as trustworthy in our own minds. #RandolphHarris 3 of 9

If shame was not audacious, one would never attempt to do as they do. However, let us still resist shame; for notwithstanding all shame’s bravadoes, one promteth the fool and none else. Faith being worked out into reality must experience times of unbroken isolation. Never confuse the trial of faith with the ordinary discipline of life, because a great deal of what we call the trail of faith is the inevitable result of being alive. The most general principle of human knowledge is neither principle of identity nor the principle of contradiction, but a principle concerning what we can and cannot think: What cannot be thought at all is false, and what cannot be thought of as false is true. Our notions of identity and contradiction are based on this principle, which is called the principle of cogitabailitas. It is an inner criterion, depending on the nature of the human understanding. Human reason cannot reach ultimate truth. Knowledge begins with experience, both inner and outer, and in many cases is stopped in its analysis of an order of facts by certain notions that, although they are not simple in themselves, cannot be further analyzed by humans. #RandolphHarris 4 of 9

Beauty is an angel that no one ever caught; truth is a deception that changes to falsehood while you finger it. We are shadows among shadows. Even if an analysis is completed and humans do reach some simple basic notion, this notion cannot be demonstrated or deduced from a unique source. Each notion must be intuited singly by connecting it with concrete examples. We are called into intimacy with the gospel, and things happen that appear to have nothing to do with us. However, God is getting us into fellowship with Himself. Let God have His way. If you refuse, you will be of no value to God in His redemptive work in the World, but will be a hindrance and a stumbling block. The Lord does not give me rules, but He makes His standard very clear. If my relationship to God is that of love, I will do what He says without hesitation. If I hesitate, it is because I love someone I have placed in competition with Him, namely, myself. Jesus Christ will not force me to obey Him, but I must. If I obey Jesus Christ in the seemingly random circumstances of life, they become pinholes through which I see the face of God. #RandolphHarris 5 of 9

By an appeal to reality (by their concrete representations)—notions such as existence, space, time, and force; or, in psychology, the particular powers of the soul, some mental faculties, and pleasure and pain, the circular process of being attempts to modify experiences to keep the desired image and avoid the threatening ones, and continually reinforces the beliefs and assumptions in the position apart from being. The desire to anchor one’s being in a self is not attacked, but is invited into a process of respectful inquiry and loving challenge. We learn to relinquish attachment and illusion. It is growth through letting go rather than an accumulation of new ideas, new conditions, and new assumptions that must be continued. A sense of what constitutes emotional pain may be associated with experiences of rejection, abandonment, rage, neglect, or abuse. The psychological split is healed when pain is neither retained nor defended against psychologically. Pleasure is neither sought nor rejected. One may move in the direction of health by integrating experiences that have been avoided, but is fully healthy when rejection and acceptance are not options. #RandolphHarris 6 of 9

God’s existence can be proved, but his attributes cannot, properly speaking, be understand completely by humans—among other things, positive infinity is beyond human’s reason. The human notion of God is partially relative and partially negative; nevertheless, it is certain. God is different from created beings both in degree and in essence. Among the attributes of God is free will, which is limited by principle of contradiction and by his goodness. In God and God alone, intellect and will are a single power. Space and time are intimately connected with existence; they are conditions of things insofar as such things exist. There is no real space or time without substance to fill it; outside the real World there is only possible (not sensible) space or time, which is infinite and filled by God. There are empty spaces in the World (otherwise movement would be impossible), but they are only physically—and not metaphysically—empty, because they are filled with God’s presence. Mathematical space and time are distinct from physical space and time, and are abstracted from the relations of things. #RandolphHarris 7 of 9

Spiritual materialism has finite spirits that are simple unextended substances, and they will enter a space and share with material substances the power of motion. Thus, a real interaction between spiritual and material substances is possible, and the doctrines of pre-established harmony and occasionalism are unnecessary. The human soul is an independent substance with two fundamental powers, thinking and willing, both of which are a complex of several independent lesser powers. Immortality of the soul can be proved only if God’s existence is presupposed—that is, by an appeal to moral certitude. Natural duties have been imposed on human beings through God’s free choice. The empirical psychology into free will has a cognitive power that becomes logic. And there is also an aspect of free will that is also placed in ethics. Moral goodness consists in the conformity of the human will with God’s will. The human will is a power to act on the understanding, on the body, and on the will itself, but its connection with the understanding is not altogether clear. We are immediately conscious of freedom, which is the main property of the human will. The will is moved by sufficient reason, which does not necessitate, and therefore the will is free. #RandolphHarris 8 of 9

It is essential that you give people the opportunity to act on the truth of God. The responsibility must be left with the individual—you cannot act for him or her. It must be one’s own deliberate act, but the evangelical message should always lead on to action. Refusing to act leaves a person paralyzed, exactly where one was previously. However, once one acts, one is never the same. An action is moral if it is done out of obligation only, and not in quest of happiness. The moments I truly live are the moments when I act with my entire will. The practice of coming back to the safe place can enhance mindfulness and encourage reorientation to reality, instead of the subjective, personal story about the individual’s suffering. Forgiveness spontaneously arises, as do spiritual understanding.  Virtue is formally conditioned by a coincidence of human will and divine law, and is materially conditioned by love for God. Divine law is known through conscience, which is an immediate power of moral judgment founded on a sort of common sense called moral taste. Evil originates in a wrong use of free will, which, when it submits to unreasonable impulses, corrupts human understanding and the true representation.  I wish you health, wealth, and longevity and your family health, happiness, every success and satisfaction. Happy Birthday (422). #RandolphHarris 9 of 9

#ASOT810 Hidden with Christ in God

v dgbHe is wanting, learning, reaching out to be part of something, but he feels separate. Others are not attending to or connecting to him enough, so he wants to pull back. He is walking around half alive. I sense a light in him that was not safe to share with his family. “I want to start putting my attention on serenity. I want to surrender to God and show you my fragile self.” The Spirit of God testifies to and confirms the simple, but almost, security of the life that is hidden with Christ in God. We talk as if living a sanctified life were the most uncertain and insecure thing we could do. Yet it is the most secure thing possible, because it has Almighty God in and behind it. The most dangerous and unsure thing is to try to live without God. When you act in confident faith in what our Lord did on the Cross, a supernatural identification with His death takes place immediately. God completely and absolutely gave Himself to us. In our surrender, we must give ourselves to God in the same way He gave Himself for us—totally, unconditionally, and without reservation. On my way of life, God has enriched my spirit, developed my intelligence and ignited a beacon of hope. Thank you, my dear God. #RandolphHarris 1 of 6

1-bmw-750ixl-300x214The greatest natures have always been lovers of solitude. Shallow ones do not require it; they need often to be refilled. Thought I lost you, in the darkness, of a lonely night. Then I found you in my arms, and holding me so tight. When I am with you, and I kiss you, I can feel your heart. Why am I here? What is the purpose God has for my life? Do you not know that I am the one to keep you safe and warm? God’s nature is love. The God in whom the Christians believes is the God who revealed himself through the specific events of Hebrew history and in the no less historical life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Thus, the conception of a mere timeless “something” beyond the World, upon which the World depends, the doctrine of creation asserts that the whole Universe is created and sustained by God, and the whole Universe is logically in order. #RandolphHarris 2 of 6

20160623_193546Since God created the World and time together, his creative and sustaining act must be said to fall outside the temporal dimension, and likewise his purposing and willing. Certainly, the words timeless, eternal purposing, nontemproal, willing will consent to lie together on the page. However, what do they mean? Even the most alluring analogues to eternal existence—the timeless moments of aesthetic-mystical experience, or extrapolation from experiences of a specious present—shed little or no light upon the concept of a timeless willing or purposing to create. Nor do they illuminate the conception of God as sustaining the World from moment to moment—the eternal and nontemporal supporting a World existing in time. Certainly, we can imagine our timeless moments as being progressively enriched, as coming to constitute a larger and larger part of our total experience. We could think of these as the first rungs of a ladder, as terms in a series, which we then extrapolate out of our experiences, and we might claim to locate at the remote and hidden terminus of that series the eternal mode of being proper to God.  #RandolphHarris 3 of 6

IMG_fqupqlHowever, we could not rely on such a scale and its extrapolations with any real confidence. The guiding human experiences (even imaginary ones) give us pathetically few clear terms of the series for us to be able to say with assurance that we see its principle of construction, and that we can extrapolate safely and boldly to the limit. To trust in these operations would be rather like using a weapon with a very short barrel to hit a very distant target. The recession of the galaxies, the expanding of the Universe, has seemed to some cosmologist also to imply a beginning, a primordial state of immense density, the center from which expansion and dispersion subsequently took place. And a new matter in the form of hydrogen atoms is created in quantity sufficient to maintain the cosmic status quo, despite the scattering and receding of galaxies. However, insofar, we can clearly and confidently point out cases of instability and incompleteness in nature, so far, we can also conceive appropriate this-Worldly, natural stabilizing and completings is basically God, a natural entity. #RandolphHarris 4 of 6

20160630_171244We step right out with recognition of God in some things; then self-consideration enters our lives and down we go. If you are truly recognizing your Lord, you have no business being concerned about how and where God engineers your circumstances. Let your actual circumstances be what they may, but keep recognizing Jesus Christ, maintaining complete reliance upon God. If creation is deprived of all these strands of meaning, it is left with scarcely any meaning at all. Worse than that, because of the place creation has had in theological explanation, it retains the tone and weightiness of an ultimate explanation concept. It stops further questioning. In cosmological theory, it is clearly inappropriate to suggest that explanation must end here. If explanations do end in science, they end only for the moment, or because of the present limits of experimentation and understanding—limits that science hopes to push back. You have been bearing it all, but you need to deliberately place it in God’s hands.  #RandolphHarris 5 of 6

CmWrHbhVIAAdMVsCommit to God whatever burden He has placed on you. Do not just cast it aside, but put it over onto God and place yourself there with it. You will see that your burden is then lightened by the sense of companionship and success. However, you should never try to separate yourself from your burden. No power on Earth or in Hell can conquer the Spirit of God living within the human spirit; it creates an inner invincibility. If your life is producing pain and suffering, instead of companionship and success, then ruthlessly kick out what you do not want. It is definitely a crime for a Christian to be weak in God’s strength. Time is duration independent of motion and it is possibly a vacuum based on a conception of space. Furthermore, the debate over creation ex nihilo is dismissed as futile since, in any event, all is derivative from God, who is the only necessary existent. God is light rays and the source of luminescence, one being inconceivable without the other, and are bound together by the unifying principle of the divine goodness. It is this goodness or perfection which characterizes the Divinity. #RandolpHarris 6 of 6

ASOT809 All Virtues are Defective which are Not Tinctured with Charity

We are flying blind; the plane has no windows, and we cannot see the landscape, the Sun, or even the clouds during the journey with God. Such is the power of virtue over the heart, that even a long course of vice will not render us wholly invulnerable to its divine influence. As suspicion is the source of crimes, it is also the worst of crimes, attaching itself with equal mischief to the guilty and the innocent; it is the influence of evil that breeds suspicion, the noble spirit of charity that subdues it. They who always suspect will often be mistake and never be happy. Knowledge is sympathy and sympathy is love, and to learn it the Son of God became a man. True friendship is rare on Earth. It means identifying with someone in thought, heart, and spirit. The whole experience of life is designed to enable us to enter into this closet relationship with the Son of God. The Christian who is truly intimate with Christ will never draw attention to oneself, but will only show the evidence of a life where God is completely in control. The picture resulting from such a life is that of the strong, calm balance that our Lord gives to those who are intimate with Him. #RandolphHarris 1 of 8

Worship is giving God the best that He has given you. Take time to meditate before God and offer the blessing back to Him in a deliberate act of worship. God will never allow you to keep a spiritual blessing completely for yourself. It must be given back to Him so that He can make it a blessing to others. It is the peculiar vocation of a teacher to talk. What is wisdom itself, but table-talk? The best wisdom in this World. There are not three levels of spiritual life—worship, waiting, and work—it is God’s idea that the three should go together as one. They were always together in the life of our Lord and in perfect harmony. Religion is essentially any set of articles of faith, with the observances, feelings, and so on, tired thereto, that has the social function of motivating altruism in individuals and the personal function of giving the believer inner peace and assurance. According to this definition, belief in a God or gods is not essential to religion. God never tells us to give up things just for the sake of giving them up, but He tells us to give them up for the sake of the only thing worth having, namely, life with Himself. #RandolphHarris 2 of 8

It is a matter of loosening the bands that hold back our lives. This is a great system, and would you wish a great country to have a little system? If only people would not talk till they knew, the World would be a much nicer place. Those bands are loosened immediately by identification with the death of Jesus Christ. It is of no value to God to give Him your life for death. God wants you to be a living sacrifice. Do we believe that God can fortify and protect our thought processes far beyond where we can go? The cleansing from sin we experience will reach to the heights and depths of our spirit if we will walk in the light as God is in the light. It is only when we are protected by God with the miraculous sacredness of the Holy Spirit that our spirit, soul, and body can be preserved in pure uprightness until the coming of Jesus Christ. Therefore, may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless. The soul asleep in the arms of love—sorrow is divine. Sorrow is reigning on the throne of the Universe, and the crown of all crowns has been one of thorns. #RandolphHarris 3 of 8

In a mind wherein strong sympathies are at work, where there is no supreme sense of right to which the agitated nature can cling and steady itself to quiet endurance, one of the first results of sorrow is a desperate vague clutching after any deed that will change the actual condition. I saw Heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. The Second Coming of Christ is our hope and confidence that God is in control of all things and is faithful to His Scriptures and His promises. While we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. The Second Coming is also important because it will come at the time when the World is most in need of a righteous King. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter (with great power, respect, and authority). #RandolphHarris 4 of 8

m,He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh, he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. His principal contentions are that art in the broadest sense is skilled activity; that fine or aesthetic art consists in the skilled activity; that fine or aesthetic art consists in the skilled objectification of feelings; that the fine artists judges the adequacy of the work one creates not by the degree to which it approximates to beauty, but by the faithfulness with which it reflects back to him the feeling to which he attempted to give objective expression; that in the aesthetic attitude one throws oneself open to the advent of feelings; and that judgement of aesthetic value are relative to the taste of the critic. Will facts of mental telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and so on are interesting. If paranormal phenomena do occur, received theories about the mental and physical must be revised to account for them. It is a gratuitous assumption that any theory capable of taming the wild facts would have to postulate supernatural entities or supernatural specters. #RandolphHarris 5 of 8

It could well be as scientific as are current theories about hypnotism, which have more or less tamed the wild facts of mesmerism. When bare nothingness intimately touches itself as something; when what is radiantly clear meets its own confusions; what we is looking through our own eyes and it sees itself looking back—this is awakeness. When what is unconditionally loving meets the places in itself that have felt unloved, and the shame turns into an innocent embrace as our finite contractions experience healing. We discover that the very entity who imagined he or she needed to improve in order to find happiness now has the frame work to journey with God and the only one who understands us is God. If paranormal phenomena do occur, there would be important implications for philosophy because the ideal of autonomy for the individual human being shifts to an openness as relatedness with nothing divided from it, to be labeled as an individual. Our Solitude with God shows us the deep, hidden areas of our own character. Many things are shown to us when God gets us alone over them, and they become clear. #RandolphHarris 6 of 8

The scientific laws state the relations between symbols that derive their meanings from the theories of which they are a part. These laws are approximations and idealizations and do not state the relations between actual physical properties. The relations, not between pressures that may be felt and volumes that may be seen, but their ideal representatives in a complex theory of gases makes the same word pressure stand for different theories, and in its common-sense, everyday use it stands for a concept or concepts different again from all these. We are not here to work for God because we have chosen to do so, but because God has laid hold of us. Keep your soul steadfastly related to God, and remember that you are called not simply to convey your testimony but also to preach the gospel. Every Christian must testify to the truth of God. It is the eternal law of God. The way you pay is the way life will pay you back. This eternal law works from God’s throne down to us. #RandolphHarris 7 of 8

The symbols used in scientific laws are always too simple to represent completely the phenomena and their connection; hence, the laws must always be provisional. An observer looking at a spot of light on a scale may be merely observing this spot, or he may be doing this and interpreting it as the final step in measuring the resistance of a coil. A boy who knew nothing whatever about electrical theory could be given the task of recording the movements of the spot on the scale; a physicist who had not seen these movements but who knew the theory and was prepared to rely on the boy could interpret the records appropriately. It shows conclusively that something is wrong, but its tell us neither where to look for that something nor what we must reject or modify.  Sin is blatant mutiny against God, and either sin or God must die in my life.  Sin will kill the life of God in us. It is the only explanation why Jesus Christ came to Earth, and it is the explanation of the grief and sorrow of life. #RandolphHarris  8 of 8

ghbjnkml,

Die Maschinentheorie des Lebens

Why should I, who have real evils to contend with, regard imaginary ones? Well, as they believe themselves, as I shall so shortly as I can, make you (God willing) as easily to preoccupy with embryogenic theory. The morphogenetic development of the living organism can be explained by assuming that a specifically organized yet invisible structure of great complexity is contained in the nucleus of the germ cell and the gradual unfolding of the structure, through nuclear division, determines the course of every ontogeny. When Hans Adolf Eduard Driesch (1867 – 1941) destroyed one of the blastomeres at the two-cell stage, the remaining one would develop into a half embryo—either the left half or the right half, depending on which blastomere had been destroyed. However, upon further experimentation, against all expectations, he found that each blastomere of the two-cell sea urchin egg developed into a whole embryo half the normal size. Knowing all about my knowledge, I know primordial concepts of order the meaning of which I, as the experiencing subject, grasp only intuitively (Bedeutungsschau), and that the experience as a whole presses on toward our seeing everything in order. #RandolphHarris 1 of 8

I am myself a man, and my heart is interested in whatever can befall the rest of humankind. Sin is the only real color-element left in modern life. Adolph Hitler not tolerate a thinker who fervently believed that nationalism was but an obstacle to the realization of one State of God. And this caused many Philosophers to become more interested in psychology and parapsychology. This entelechy, lacking all the characteristics of quantity, is not some special kind of energy, not a constant or force. It is not in space or in time but acts into space and into time. Entelechy, an elementary factor sui generis that acts teleologically. At the psychological and cultural levels, whole-making causality predominates and my soul as the unconscious foundation of my conscious experience is my primordial knowing of the meaning of order and my primordial willing of order indicates a working of my soul [which guides my actions] and certain states [of my soul] are parallel to my conscious having. This sounds very artificial, but logic is a very artificial instrument. Metaphysically, my soul and my entelechy are One in the sphere of the Absolute, and it is at the level of the Absolute only that we can speak of psychophysical interaction. #RandolphHarris 2 of 8

However, the Absolute, so understood, transcends all possibilities of our knowing, and it is an error to take, the sum of its traces for the Whole. All considerations of normal mental life lead us only to the threshold of the unconscious; it is in dreamlike and certain abnormal cases of mental life that we encounter the depths of our soul. Our experience is a mixture of wholeness (the organic and mental realms) and nonwholeness (the material World), Reality itself must be such that I can posit (assume) a dualistic foundation of the totality of my experience. In fact, there is nothing—not even within the ultimately Real—to bridge the gap between wholeness and nonwholeness. And this means that ultimately there is either God and non-God, or a dualism within God himself. To put it different, either the theism of the Judeo-Christian tradition or a pantheism of a God continually making himself and transcending his own earlier stages is ultimately reconcilable with the facts of the experience.  #RandolphHarris 3 of 8

Greatness consist in bringing all manner of mischief on humankind , and goodness in removing it from them. This fact opens up an entirely new dimension of experience. However, given this new dimension, I can now establish a remarkable order in my experience if I regard some of the objects of my immediate experience as an indication of the being or the becoming of an X that behaves as if it were independent of my experience it; id est (the is), it behaves as if it were a self-sufficient realm of nature in which the bipolar cause—effect relationship prevails. However, since, on the one hand, the effect cannot be richer in content than is its cause but, on the other hand, the living individual is a whole that is more than the sum of its parts, a close scrutiny of experience leads Philosophers to distinguish between a merely mechanical causality (Einzelheitskausalitat) and a whole-making causality (Ganzheitskaysalitat) that involves more than merely additive changes. In ontogetialities is thus transformed into the wholeness of the mature organism. Restitution and adaptations, experimentally demonstrable, are manifestations of this whole-making causality. #RandolphHarris 4 of 8

The living organism itself, in its indisputable wholeness, is the most obvious result of Ganzheitskausalitat. Thus, vitalism find justification. Do you really love Him? Have you ever been driven to do something for God not because you felt that it was useful or your duty to do so, or that there was anything in it for you, but simply because you love Him? There are times when it seems as if God watches to see if we will give Him even small gifts of surrender, just to show how genuine our love is for Him. Once we are totally surrendered to God, He will work through us all the time. Perseverance is more than endurance. It is endurance combined with absolute assurance and certainty that what we are looking for is going to happen. If our hopes seem to be experiencing disappointment right now, it simply means that they are being purified. Every hope or dream of the human mind will be fulfilled if it is noble and of God. However, one of the greatest stresses in life is the stress of waiting for God. Evil self-causes, and avoidable, admit not of palliation or comfort. #RandolphHarris 5 of 8

“Be still and know that I am God,” only then can He mount on the back of the wind, shoulder the blue sky, and nothing can hinder nor block him. Only then can God set his eyes to the south. If you go off to the green woods nearby, you can take along food for three meals and come back with your stomach as full as ever. However, you must prepare your food in advance. Much like building your faith in God is preparing you to experience an abundance of blessings and wealth of health. However, little understanding cannot come up to great understanding unless you study and learn. The material World, comprising all the things, events, and relations which are publicly perceptible is motivated by our love for God, and no amount of ingratitude from other people will be able to hinder us from serving one another. Once we realize that Jesus Christ has served us even to the depth of our meagerness, selfishness, and sin, nothing we encounter from others will be able to exhaust our determination to serve others for the sake of God and Jesus Christ. The evil risk more to serve evil than the good risk to serve good. #RandolphHarris 6 of 8

The mental World, which is directly observable only through introspection, is not part of nature. Substances are analyzed as systems of properties and their relations. A property is a casual capacity. Thus, to say of carborundum that it is abrasive means that, under certain conditions, friction of it against certain other solids causes them to wear away. We have no right in Christian service to be guided by our own interest and desires. In fact, this is one of the greatest tests of our relationship with Jesus Christ. The delight of sacrifice is that I lay down my life for my Friend, Jesus Christ. I do not throw my life away, but I willingly and deliberately lay it down for Him and His interests in other people. If we are totally surrendered to Him, we have no goals of our own to serve because Jesus Christ said in 2 Corinthians 12.15, “I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls.” If the soul is our ground being, it is also the matrix of transpersonal awareness within which all personal experience occurs. The soul is also the source of all forms, including the body and personal psyche. #RandolphHarris 7 of 8

How would Philosophers have to conceive of time, causality, perception if there were such a thing as precognition? Because we identify exclusively with the transient body, emotions, and mind, we lose sight of our true nature as pure being and awareness, the Knower in all states of consciousness. Our ego-consciousness is a fragment of the God’s consciousness. God is compensatory and we identify with Him, we inevitably inflate and drive out our traumatized and lost parts further into the unconscious. Often, it is only by suffering a profound dark period of the ego that we let go of the transient material World and heal our wounded parts, as we realize our true identity as children of God, through which we radiate the love, wisdom, and power of our true nature into the World, and all the activities of our daily life. It is a logically possibility that a mind survives the death of its body (or, to allow for reincarnation, bodies), even when due account has been take of current science. However, if there any evidence that it does? The balance of the evidence so far obtained is on the side of the reality of survival, but the evidence is not conclusive, but only a good person could have escaped. #RandolphHarris 8 of 8

In the Case of the Divine Intellect an Unknown Dimension Begins to Open

My earnest exception and hope that nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. When we think seriously about what it will cost others if we obey the call of Jesus Christ, we tell God He does not know what our obedience will mean. Keep to the point—God does know. Shut out every other thought and keep yourself before God in this one thing only—my utmost for God’s highest. I am determined to be absolutely and entirely for God and God alone. The only possible way to have full understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ is through the light of the Spirit of God shining inside us. Nonetheless, if humans had only a natural will (a rational or intellectual), they would be incapable of sin, but subject to errors of judgment. On the other hand, if the will’s freedom is taken to mean nothing more than simple liberation from this inclination of nature, its actions would become irrational and governed by chance or caprice. #RandolphHarris 1 of 10

What is needed is some counterinclination the frees humans from this need to follow their natural inclination yet is in accord with right reason. This is precisely the function of human’s native freedom. Human’s reason, when unimpeded by emotional considerations, is capable of arriving at a fairly objective estimate of the most important human actions in terms of the intrinsic worth of the goal attained, the effort expended, the consequences, and so on. By reason of its affection for justice the will is inclined to accept and to seek such intrinsic values, even when this runs counter to other natural inclinations for self-indulgence. However, being free to disregard the inclination for self-indulgence and to follow the higher dictates of justice, human becomes responsible for the good and evil one foresees will result from either course of action. It is the exercise of this freedom that is a necessary, though not a sufficient condition for any action to have a moral value. #RandolphHarris 2 of 10

The other requisite condition become apparent if we consider the nature of moral goodness. An action may be called good on several counts. There is that transcendental goodness conextensive with being which simply that, having some optimistic entity, a thing can be wanted or desires. However, over and above this is that natural goodness which may or may not be present. Like bodily beauty, this accidental quality is a harmonious blend of all that becomes the thing in question. Actions also can have such a natural goodness. Walking, running, and the like may become the thing in question. Actions also can have such a natural goodness. Walking, running, and the like may be done awkwardly or with a certain grace or beauty. More generally, an activity or operation of mind or will can be in harmony with its efficient cause, its object, its purpose and its form and is naturally good when it has all that become it in this way. #RandolphHarris 3 of 10

However, moral goodness goes beyond this natural goodness. Even as beauty of body is an harmonious blend of all that becomes a body so far as size, color, figure, and so on are concerned, so the goodness of a moral act is a combination of all that is becoming to it according to right reason. One must consider not only the nature of the action itself but also the circumstances, including the purpose of its performance. An otherwise naturally good action may be vitiated morally if circumstances forbid it or if it is done for an evil end. Right reason tells us there is one action that can never be inordinate or unbecoming under any set of circumstances: the love of God for his own sake. God is to be loved is the first moral principle or ethical norm. This is converse, God must never be hated nor dishonored, are two obligations from which God himself can never grant dispensation. He is the one absolute intrinsic value, which cannot be loved to excess; but anything other than God is good because God wills it and not true in the reverse order. #RandolphHarris 4 of 10

The intelligibly of a creature depends upon God’s knowing it, and not the other way around. So too its actual value or goodness depends upon God’s loving it with a creative love and not the reverse. This obviously applies to transcendental goodness, which is coextensive with a thing’s being, but it also holds for natural and moral goodness as well. If the infinite perfection of God’s will prevents it from being dependent or necessitated by any finite good, it also insures that creation as a whole will be good. God is also like a master craftsman. For all his artistic liberty, God cannot turn out a product that is badly done. Yet no particular creation is so perfect, beautiful, or good that God might not have produced another that is also good; neither must all evil or ugliness be absent, particularly where this stems from a creature’s misuse of one’s freedom. Nevertheless, there are limits to which God’s providence can allow evil to enter into the World picture. God may permit suffering and injustice so that humankind may learn the consequences of its misbehavior and through a collective sense of responsibility may rights it social wrongs. #RandolphHarris 5 of 10

While certain actions may be naturally good or bad, they are not by that very fact invested with a moral value; they may still be morally indifferent even when all circumstances are taken into consideration. Only hatred and the friendship—love of God are invested with moral value of themselves, and as the motivation for otherwise naturally good or indifferent actions they may make the actions morally wrong or good. Otherwise, the action must be forbidden by God to be morally wrong or commanded by God to be morally good. To that extent, moral goodness too depends on the will of God. However, it is important to know that some actions are good or bad only because God commands or forbids them, whereas he enjoins or prohibits other actions because they are naturally good or bad, that is, they are consonant or in conflict with human nature in the sense that they tend to perfect it or do violence to it. Such are the precepts of the natural law embodied in the Decalogue and written into human’s heart.  #RandolphHarris 6 of 10

However, note that what makes obedience to this instinctual law of moral value is that it be recognized and intended as something willed by God; otherwise, good as it may be naturally, the action is morally indifferent. This too is a consequence of human’s native liberty, which can be bound only by an absolute bale or the will of its author. To the extent that the first two commandments are expressions of the first moral principle and its converse, God can never make their violation morally right or a matter of indifference; the same does not hold of the last seven, which regulate human’s behavior to one’s fellow human. God granted genuine dispensations from natural law, permitting polygamy to the patriarchs so that the children of God might be multiplied when believers were few. This might be permitted again if plague or war so decimated the male population that race survival was threatened. In such a case, God would reveal this dispensation to humans, probably through his church. #RandolphHarris 7 of 10

Society is naturally organized into families; but when they band into communities people find some higher authority necessary and agree to vest it in an individual or a group, and decide how it is to be perpetuated—for example, by election or hereditary succession. All political authority is derived from the consent of the governed, and no legislator may pass laws for private advantage or that conflict with the natural or divine positive law. Private property is a product for positive rather than natural law and may not be administered to the detriment of the common good. More striking, perhaps, the second person of the Trinity would have become incarnate even if humans had not sinned. Intended as God’s firstborn of creatures, Christ represents the alpha and omega not only of human society but of all creation. All considerations of normal mental life lead us only to the threshold of the unconscious; it is in dreamlike and certain abnormal causes of mental life that we encounter the depths of our soul. #RandolphHarris 8 of 10

Some students unconsciously mimic the worst mannerisms of their mentor, many should actually outdo their mentor in subtlety than in clarifying and developing their insights, so that both the humanist and reformer dunce become words of obloquy. Yet, there will always be a hardy few who find the effort of exploring their mentor’s mind rewarding. Some people have refreshing views on intuition, contingency, and freedom. Each person is blessed with a unique value as one wanted and loved by God, quite apart from any trait he or she shares with others or any contribution one might make to society. And in parapsychological phenomena—especially in telepathy, mind reading, clairvoyance, telekinesis, and materialization (which are accepted as facts by some scientists)—we find traces of supra-individual wholeness. More important, however, or sense of duty also points toward a supra-personal whole, which, in the course of history, is continuously evolving. In my experience of duty, I am participating in the supra-personal whole of which I am an empirical embodiment, and it is as if I had some knowledge about the final outcome of the development of that whole.  #RandolphHarris 9 of 10

Knowing about my knowledge, I know something. I, as the experiencing subject, grasp only intuitively and that experience as a whole presses on toward our seeing everything in order. However, thinking of God matters little, if he be not loved in contemplation. Philosophers recognize the supreme value of friendship and love, which, directed to God, make people truly wise.  My sense of duty indicates the general direction of the supra-personal development. The ultimate goal, however, remains unknown. Among my experiences there are some that have had before; I remember them. This fact opens up an entirely new dimension of experience. However, given this new dimension, I can now establish a remarkable order in my experience as an indication of the being or the becoming. The working of my soul which guides my action and certain states of my soul are parallel to my conscious having and can speak of a psychophysical interaction. It seems that my inner spirit has reached out and touched the inner spirit of the other. Our relationship transcends itself and becomes a part of something larger. Profound growth and healing and energy are present. #RandolphHarris 10 of 10

It is Very Important to Obey Federal Law!!!!!!

I want to make it clear that I do NOT endorse drug use, nor underage drinking. I also do NOT endorse reckless behavior in motor vehicles. I also do NOT endorse partying, nightclubs, nor outdoor music festivals. I also do NOT support bullying, assault, nor harassing others. If you have an alcohol, drug or any other type of addiction, it could be due to a chemical imbalance, unresolved events from the past, beliefs you hold that are inconsistent with what is true, or an inability to cope with current conditions. When I come into the very presence of God, I do not realize that I am a sinner in an indefinite sense, but I suddenly realize and the focus of my attention is directed toward the concentration of my sin in a particular area of my life. #RandolphHarris 1 of 2

Our conviction is focused on our specific sin, and we realize what we really are. This is always the sign that a person is in the presence of God. If you are having problems with your life or sexuality, then perhaps you should talk to a local Deacon, or leader of the church. Discipleship means personal, passionate devotion to a Person—our Lord Jesus Christ. There is a vast difference between devotion to a person and devotion to principles or to a cause. Our Lord never proclaimed a cause—He proclaimed personal devotion to Himself. To be a disciple is to be a devoted bondservant motivated by the love for the Lord Jesus. #RandolphHarris 2 of 2
