The Game

vsbvadb

Every limit is a beginning as well as an ending. Human’s gifts are not always equal to their wishes. If an individual lives their life from the mind and responds to life, cased on how one thinks they should, and do not live what is symbolized in the heart and the truth of their being, their words will not match their actions.

camden-maine-stay-inn

By acting how you think others want you to, you are denying their truth, and will learn to live in denial of your truth because you feel one way, but respond in another. These patterns will become habits and you will be living a lie.

aasrb

The molding process is when you copy another person, either because you admire them, want to become them, or just love the way that people treat them, so you want to reflect their behavior. The molding process is very subtle.

New pictures 119

People will mold themselves into your cast. However, the problem arises when they want to replace you and take over your identity. When people, who are jealous of you, want to become you, they will be rude to you, and may not even talk to you.

aafwsb

Those who are trying to reflect you, will study your life, and your life story, so they can play these roles, and act as if your life, and your experiences are uniquely theirs.

stepford-wives-2004

Often times, people trying to reflect you will act in a way that they think is how you would react, so they can get others to treat them they way you are treated. This is not always a bad thing, but is could be if someone does not like you, but just want the benefits and reactions you get.

Saturday 028_1

Each person is unique, and it is not just your behavior people like, not just your looks, it is your essence and energy. Conversely, most people cannot read minds and may have no clue what you are going through, so reflection, as a method of replacement, could backfire and drive the user insane, and push those who love them away because they are not being authentic.

360

Nevertheless, it is okay to have a role model, and want to reflect some of their characteristics, but not all of them. For example, one of my role models is a female, and I am a male. However, I like how professional, and to the point she is and I love her determination and her spirit. Those are things I can adhere to.

Hi 036

Yet, as far as her relationships and person life goes, that is uniquely for her to enjoy. The only way to be authentic is to pay attention to our inner voice and energy and let that flow through us. People will like you for who you are, as long as you respect them and are trustworthy.

Remember, love it patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love does not dishonor others, it is not selfish, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.

2014-09-18_1714

It always protects, always trusts, always has faith, and always perseveres. Love never fails. Light is the first essential. Light stimulates, nourishes, preserves. You can no more do without it, than if you were a flower.

Happy days 220

Maybe He Was an Angel?

There once was a gentle boy called Samuel. He lied at the edge of the forest with his parents and two older brothers. Samuel’s family often treated him poorly because they did not know that he was capable of much greater things, until the day he met a strange old man. That day began as Samuel’s oldest brother went to cut wood. Their mother packed a nice, sweet cake and a bottle of cider for her oldest son to take into the woods. Samuel stayed home and chopped nuts. In the woods, Samuel’s brother came upon a little gray man. The man kindly bid him good day (Sacrament), and said, “Will you share your cake and cider with a tired old man? I am very thirsty.” Samuel’s brother yelled at the man. “If I give you my food and drink, I will not have enough for myself, now get out of my way,” he replied. The brother left the man standing there and went to chop a tree. After a few strong swings, his ax slipped and hit his arm. He suffered a deep cut, and could no longer continue his work. The little man saw all this happen, and he smiled as Samuel’s oldest brother hurried home to dress his wound. When a person is aware of themselves, and the World that they live in, accord with these conditions produces harmonious parts of being alive. When, however, one distorts some of the conditions of their being, one loses that very being in the process.

Games prevent honest, intimate, and open relationships between the players. Yet people play them because the games fill up time, provoke attention, reinforce early opinions (about self and others), and fulfill a sense of destiny. Disclosure of person to person, honest, direct, uncontrived, is the necessary condition for reducing the mystery that one man is for another. Sharing and being nice is a good virtue, when possible. At times, we are not able to share. For example, it is 20 April 2015, you father buys you a pizza, for your birthday, and tells you to bring it back home to share with him. A stranger, who is with a group of people, walks up and asks you for a slice. In that case, it is not your option to share. So you have to view each situation differently. In the case of Samuel, because his first brother was injured, they had to send another brother out to chop wood. Before long, the second brother also met up with the old man in the woods. The man kindly bid him a good day and said, “Would you share your cake and cider with a tired old man? I am very hungry and thirsty.” This next brother was as selfish as the first. “If I give you my food and drink, I will not have enough for myself. Now get out of my way!” The second brother walked away, and found a tree to chop. He swung so strongly with his ax; the head of the ax dropped off. It fell firmly on the brother’s foot, and he, too, could no longer work. Again, the little gray man smiled as he watched Samuel’s brother hobbling home.

Then young Samuel said, “Let me go cut the wood, Father.” “You know nothing about it, but if you are so willing to get hurt, then go!” his father replied. Sam’s mother handed him some cake and a warm jug of water and sent him on his way. When he reached the forest, Sam met the little gray man as well. Then man kindly bid him a good day and said, “Would you share some food and drink with a tired old man? I am very hungry and thirsty.” “I only have stale cake and warm water, but if you do not mind that, we can eat together.” They sat in the woods to eat. When Sam reached for their snacks, he found magnificent slice of sweet cake and a large bottle of cider for them to share.  When they finished their tasty mean, the old man told Samuel, “You shared your goods with me, and for that I am grateful. Now you will have good luck to go with your kind heart.” The little gray man pointed at an old tree nearby. “Cut it down and you will find something special there in its roots.” Then he walked away without another word. Samuel swiftly cut down the old tress, and when it fell, he found a goose sitting among the roots. This was no ordinary goose. Its feathers were made of gold! In the end, Samuel ended up marry a princess, not because of his newly found wealth, but because of his good heart. Therefore, as Hebrews 13.2 reports, “Forget not to show love unto strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

*Represents a family. Father, mother, and daughters.

Today, in the year 2015, many women still stay home, and are considered housewives, but their homes sometimes look clean, but are unkempt and dirty.

303

Not only that, but these women are living outside of themselves, instead of focusing on their houses, they are trying to be athletes, community superheroes, and gymnastic Olympians.

avsadbv

And while they are at home, they have guest, engage in much conflict, and are always stressed out.

Okay, first of all, if you are a housewife you need to be thankful you do not have to work for a living, and should never complain.

Laundry twice a week? Ha! A good wife does up to five loads, in one day, just to see the closet floor.

The bed sheets need to be washed every 10 to 14 days, you need two sheets on the bed and a blanket. Sleep in between the sheets to keep the comforter clean. You need to wash your comforter every 30 to 60 day, or have it dry cleaned so it does not fall apart.

Your house should always be clean and you should always be happy. If you are keeping a proper house, you will not have time to worry about anyone else, but the maintenance of your home.

If you are properly cleaning the house, you will burn enough calories daily and will not need to go to the gym. Instead, you can take a causal walk around the park and save money that you would spend on a gym membership.

Hi 036

There is always something to clean, such as the baseboards, toilets, floors, garage, carpets, counter tops, floors, clothes, bedding and bathtubs. Your house is supposed to be spotless and resemble a model home.

334

Marriage and children are at the top your priority list. You are supposed to be a good wife and be honest, nice, trustworthy, clean, and happy.

1950s-housewife1

You are a support troop for your home, defending and protecting your family from germs, dirt, chaos, and starvation. It is your job to make sure the home is enjoyable and relaxing.

288

While your husband is  at work, the wives are responsible for the daily tasks associated with maintaining a home, and also supposed to nurture and look after the children if you have any.

Stepford-Wives-stepford-wives-2004-6886556-1429-2200

While their husbands were off at work, women would spend much of the day in the kitchen.  Whether it was cooking, cleaning, or washing dishes, the wives are supposed to try to make the environment as comfortable, for their men folk, as possible, when they returned home from a long day’s work, at the office.

Take fifteen minutes to rest so that you will be refreshed when he arrives. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people. Be a little gay and a little more interesting. His boring day may need a lift. Greet him with a smile. Touch up your makeup, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking.

Make one last trip though the main part of the house just before your husband arrives, gathering up children’s books and toys, papers, etc. Then run a dust cloth over the tables. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you lift too.

If they are small, wash their hands and faces and comb their hair. They are his little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise from the washer, dryer, or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

Do not greet him with problems and complaints. Do not complain if he is late for dinner. Count this as a minor problem compared to what he might have gone through that day.

Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or suggest that he lie down in the bedroom. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing voice. Allow him to relax and unwind.

You may have a dozen things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first. Never complain if he doesn’t take you to dinner or to other entertainment. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure and his need to unwind and relax.

making dinner

Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal real for you man to return home–on time. Women are always supposed to have a cheerful expression, for their husbands, when they returned home for work. This is a way to let him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned with his needs.

Happy family having roast chicken dinner at table

Most men are hungry when they come home, and having a good meal ready is part of the warm welcome that is needed. Notice the hearty plate of food, with the husband ready to eat, as referenced by the knife in his hand?

Happy family dining together

Also notice how this woman has a cheerful smile on her face.  It was expected that when the husband arrived at home, his wife would act like there was not a problem in the world and provide a comforting atmosphere for her man.

It is your job to make  good decisions to achieve the greatest possible level of health and comfort in a particular household.

The Superstars

Once there was a king, who had happiness and great fortune. Of all of his treasures, he was proudest of his four children, the most perfect children in the land. His three fine strong sons would do anything for their fathers, and the king’s greatest joy, his daughter Aaliyah, was clearly the dearest, sweetest, and most beautiful child in all the World. Aaliyah spent much of her time in her garden. Next to her brothers and her brothers and her father, her lovely roses were Aaliyah’s greatest treasures. She would spend hour after hour caring for them. Then one day the king hurried to find Aaliyah. He was worried. “I have terrible news, you are in danger,” he told her. The king had many treasures, it is true, but for this he also had many wicked and powerful enemies. These critics were evil sorcerers and magicians who believed no one should have so much happiness as the king did. We are taken over by safety and security needs—needs to develop bodily skills and controls, to learn about dangers, to lean to move about more freely in the environment, and to develop a sense of physical security in ourselves and with others. Aaliyah is nineteen. She is pretty together, knows fairly well who she is, what her skills are, how she relates to people. She is a freshman in a business school, with a record of solid B’s. Her test indicate that she has leadership potential, and she has long dreamed of running her own business. Aaliyah works about twenty hour a week as a salesperson, assistant bookkeeper, and occasional buyer for Mlle. Michele’s Boutique. After working there for a few weeks, the owner asks if she would like to quit school and become a manager, full time. That would mean quitting school, with only a few weeks to go before the end of the term. If Aaliyah quits, she can earn more money, put her talents to work, in a more responsible position, and discovers if this is the sort of work she really wants to do from now on. “I fear for your safety, you must go away from me now,” the king told his daughter. “However, Father,” Aaliyah sobbed, “I want to stay with you and my brothers.” The King said, “Your brothers have been taken away from us. I know not where? I cannot stand to lose you, too,” he sadly told Aaliyah.

Understanding Yourself!

263

Do not bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me, and fast asleep in their beds. I cannot get up and give you anything. I tell you, though, he will not get up and give him the cake because he is his friend, yet because of the man’s boldness, he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

272

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; know and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. If your son asks for a fish, which of your fathers will give him a snake instead?

086

Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If then, though you are corrupt, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

198

Christ was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. However, some of them said, “By Beelzebub, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons.”

th (3)

Others tested him by asking for a sign from Heaven. *Beelzebub look like gnats but are actually one of the seven princes of hell. They are demonic flies. The source of the name Beelzebub is in 2 Kings 1:2 & 3, 6, 16.

194

Beelzebub is variously understood to mean the lord of the flies or lord of the (Heavenly) dwelling. There is a relationship between the Philistine god and cults of fly. The flies represent the patient’s sickness.

002

Beelzebul (not Beelzebub) appears as the prince of the demons and he was formerly a leading Heavenly angel, who was associated with the star Hesperus.

228

Seemingly, Beelzebul here is simply Lucifer. Beelzelbul claims to cause destruction through tyrants, to cause demons to be worshipped among men, to excite priests to lust, to cause jealousies in cities and murders, and to bring on war. These demons are enslaved to help build the temple.

266

Christ knew their thoughts. Any Kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall. If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? I say this because YOU CLAIM THAT I DRIVE OUT DEMONS by Beelzebub.

IMG_20150422_052859

Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. However, if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

259

When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. However, when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils. He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.

293

When an unclean spirit comes out of a man or woman, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.

IMG_20150421_211521

Then the unclean spirit says, “I will return to the house I left. When it arrives, it fins the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go and live there. And the final condition of that man  or woman is worse than the first.”

313

As Christ was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Revelation-Goodnight and Stay Out of their Business!!!!!!

568Then I saw a new heaven and a new Earth, for the first Heaven and the first Earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

290

I saw the Holy City, the new Sacramento, coming down out of Heaven, from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

310

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

298

And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them.”

303

And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.

301

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new! Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

305

It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

317

It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

365

Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

334

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

318

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

319

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Sacramento, coming down out of Heaven from God.

320

It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

321

It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Sacramento.

323

The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

325

The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls.

326

The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long.

328

The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.

329

The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,

330

the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

332

The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

333

I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

344

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

348

The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

409

On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.

Key City Falling Like it is October!

We, who interpret things Heavenly, by the things Earthly, must not hope to juggle with them for our pleasures, and can look to no absolution of corrupt acts. I am protected by my isolation, alone of my superior kind, in close touch with Nature, that keeps faith on such easy terms with my love. However, a dog in the manger jealousy is a thing the dogs may laugh at. There is a reason to suspect that people are waning to decay and ruin the moment that their life becomes fascinating either in the poet’s imagination or the painter’s eye. I was at the State Capitol Castle, I was talking to angels and taking pictures, and touring the castle and picking up trash off the clean floors. I was also looking for coffee. I felt like a kid in a really big house, I felt at peace, loved and respected. Well, I heard two or three comments I did not like. One about Black people, and a few nasty remarks from the kids; at that time, my mind was blank. Nothing was on my mind, I was just exploring, and looking to see beautiful things. The evidence that supports the thoughts of looking for beautiful things were my actions; I was respectful and mostly took photographs of things I liked. I saw some unusual things outside of the castle, which is why I went inside. The people outside of the Capitol Castle tend to be in distress and annoying, and they talk about the same things over and over, and only say negative things.

Nothing is every resolved, it is like the people in Capitol Terrance like dirt, gossip, slander, and chaos, but it is not limited to this to this building, but it is mostly in here. Well, when I go to other places, like the Winchester Mansion, Hearst Castle, or the Capitol Castle, life is beautiful and as it should be, the people say nice things. I do not know that people are nice all the time, in other locations, but if they have nothing nice to say, they do not speak. I feel a lot of good vibes. Well, the only thing to contradict the thought that it is all good is I hit my thigh and that hurt, but that was my fault because I was so focused on all of the beautiful things and nice people. If my best friend thought the people in the Capitol Castle were nice, I would agree. I wish that my life was beautiful, and I could afford to live in a Victorian mansion, or a castle that is clean, peaceful, good fragrances, nice decoration and nice beings. Well, my life is perfect, but some of the people in my life, who keep saying bad things about me and harassing me need to be removed. I want my car perfect, my house perfect, and my body and mind to be healed. And that is possible. I only want to hear good things, and see good people and smiles. And I met some lovely people on the way back to my apartment, a nice lady and a little boy, with platinum blonde hair, and another baby with blonde, short hair and blue eyes, and then I met a nice man with blonde hair and blue eyes and he was talk and masculine.

However, there is a lot of chaos and conflict at 1820 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, California 95811, and I would like to request more uniform officers in and around this building because the manager does not enforce the terms of the lease and they are putting people’s health in danger. For example, I have a, allergy to latex, and the people in this building from Christmas of 2013, until 13 April 201 kept hanging latex balloons outside of my door and I am allergic to the balloons. If I come in contact with latex, the latex can kill me by shutting down my respiratory system, which means I would die. And I have told the management, and they do not care. Nonetheless, the terms of the lease state we are not to hang anything in the hallways (common areas) of the building, but the management will not comply with the lease, which is putting my life in danger. I could not breathe, and it felt like my nose was going to fall off. My chest was hurting. Not only that, but I have also been serious problems with these people assaulting me. I have been choked and my spine was fractured in this building because someone pushed me on the ground, and I have pictures, documents, medical records to back up my claims. I am asking that you please more uniformed officers in Midtown Sacramento, and monitor Capitol Terrace, at 1820 Capitol Avenue Sacramento, California 95811 very closely.

I talked to an officer, and he said that he has also had problems with Capitol Terrace, he explained to me that he came over in plain clothes and people tried to fight him, he was alone and there are about 100 people, and 20 dogs that live in this building. There are nine floors, and three apartments, and a computer lab, lobby and kitchen, laundry room, and two bathrooms, as well as two offices on the first floor. The second, through ninth floor have 10 apartments, five on each side of the north and south of the building. There are also about three utility rooms on each floor, and they are marked or have a blank door, each apartment unit is numbered. It is like there is some kind of cult, in this building, which is out to do harm, in this building. Senile jealousy is anxious to be deceived, and I want to feel safe and secure in my home, vehicle, and person. Too often, in this building, jealousy is the quality upon which it feeds. As you know, jealousy us a familiar kind of heat which disfigures, licks playfully, clouds, blackens, and boils a man as a fire does a pot.

Sincerely,

Randolph T. Harris Jr.

Can YOU Hear Him Now?!

No one can worship God or love his or her neighbor on an empty stomach. Gulliver was a doctor in the city of London. He grew tired of the crowed city, though, and decided to take a trip on a ship. He wanted to journey to distant lands, and see many different people and things, he was not running away. He had no idea that his voyage would take him to strange places that cannot be found on any maps. Sailing through the East Indies, the ship hit a terrible storm. Gulliver and five other sailors have to leave the sinking ship behind. They climbed into a small boat and dropped it into the stormy sea. At the mercy of the violent waves, the boat twisted and turned until suddenly it flipped over. The men and women tried to swim against the waves, but the water swallowed up Gulliver and his shipmates. Physiological needs are very powerful because survival depends on their satisfaction. Sometimes when our needs are not being met or we are not being respected, we can feel like Gulliver, metaphorically drowning in life.  In the area of human relations, we find generalizations going on all the time. And while we can sit back and say it is unscientific or silly, nonetheless, it goes on, and it is the cause for a lot of serious conflicts between people. When we generalize about someone, apply that attitude to people like him, and use that generalization, as the image or symbol for the whole group, that is stereotyping. Generalizing is a handy way of lumping things together for easy reference; we all do it at one time, or another. Sometimes generalizations can be good. For example, if you have a good experience with German cars, you may say all German cars are good automobiles. However, many people use generalizations in a negative way, to hurt people they do not know or like.

Some may even fall into the easy temptation of identifying all members of a particular ethnic or racial or career group or gender by the oversimplified symbols of a stereotype. According to common usage in this country, Irishmen all are pretty much alike: have red hair, speak with a deep brogue, are catholic, love shamrocks and the color green, and like to enjoy life and freedom. Suppose you are a young man of non-American heritage, and every time you have to deal with a subject in English, you first have to think it through in your native, because in your home no English is spoken. You may take seconds longer to formulate your words or answer questions. Some who do not know about your language problem may immediately assume you are being slow, stupid, stubborn, or militant. All these assumptions have at one time or another, been stereotypes of those who are not native to America. So international people, in America, must deal not only with their own language barriers, but also with the ignorance or insensitive of the Americans they run into every day. Stereotypes often perform a psychological service for the stereotype.  Sometimes people want to stereotype you so that they can control you or force you into certain situations. Also, stereotypes are creations of an entire society or nation, and they perform the function of building up the national feeling through putting down another nation or group. Such behavior is not really intentional cruelty, ignorance, or hostility to the other groups or nations, though it certainly may be unenlightened or narrow-minded.

For a community of gold miners to share a common belief that some workers are all slow, insidious, treacherous opium smokers, probably had the effect of giving the gold miners (stereotypes) a certain sense of community and justifying the ridiculously low wages they are paid the imported laborers, “coolie wages” regardless of how unfair and false the stereotype was. Some of our social perceptions actually cause people to act in certain ways. If I expect a young man to be crafty, cunning, sly, and inscrutable, I am interact with him I such a way that these are the behaviors he actually shows, which is called a self-fulfilling prophecy. Some women play a submissive, domesticated, naïve part because they know that their husbands expect it. Or they may be afraid to act independent because they think they need husbands for support. So, gritting their teeth, they swallow their more liberated tendencies and play Dumb Dora. Why? Because sometimes men feel insecure around women, or others they view as inferior, who are actually brighter. Today’s woman, and who were once marginalized, somewhat freed from such stifling attitudes about their intelligence professional skills, is willing to run the risk of letting some people’s expectations down in order to be oneself. Others, who are in society, may play dumb, incompetent, or weak if they believe this to be the most advantageous position. For some, who are looked at as inferior, freedom to be equal and compete with mainstream society may be perceived as too threatening, even by some women, who are in power.

To be liberated, whether you do it alone or as part of a movement, takes a great deal of courage. Sadly, with the passing of time, the oath of office has become perfunctory. It has lost its meaning to many of our elected leaders. It is hoped that this publication will awaken a desire within the inhabitants of this publication will awaken a desire within the inhabitants of this nation to restore to the Constitution the eminence given it by our Founders, that we may as a nation be blessed with continued freedom, security and happiness. Adherence to the spirit and intent of our Constitution is so important to our Founding Fathers, but many of these new Americans have no idea what the Constitution of the United States of America is. Nonetheless, they think it is cute to replace people who were better than them and then hurt and abuse you when you are struggling. Knowledge is in every country the surest basis of public happiness. In one in which the measures of government receive their impression so immediately from the sense of the people, as in ours, it is essential. In proportion as the structure of a government gives forces to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened.

Pay Attention to your Thoughts and Views

A prejudice is usually a vagrant opinion without visible means of support. It is troublesome when you cannot filter out unwanted sensations. It is pain to have static on your car radio or to get through life when you have someone bombarding you with threatening letters and phone calls over a six-month period. These sensation and perceptions can work against each other. Not only do you have competing sensations to wade through and sort out, but you may also have to compete with your own expectations. Jeri was hungry as she drove home from work. Her stomach growled and she found her mouthwatering. As she tried to keep her eyes focused on the road and the traffic, she found them wandering to billboards portraying, in living color, barbecued steaks sizzling on the grill, hamburgers and French fries. The music on the car radio stopped and the announcer told her about how $18.81 could get her a steak and lobster, at Fitzgibble’s luxury restaurant. Soon, she hears very little music and began only to hear food commercials. Soon, she heard very little music (Aaliyah – One in a Million) and began to only hear food commercials. She saw little of the other billboards, but never missed one advertising food, milk, ice cream, or a well-dressed couple eating by candlelight.

Chuck was a new employee, unsure of himself in his new job. His insecurity made him very sensitive to any comments about his performance. He found himself listening to the conversations of his fellow workers and managers. He waited for somebody to talk about him, and any time his name was mentioned—whatever the topic of conversation—he “heard” it as an evaluation of him as a person and a worker. He found his sensitivities spreading to include any references to Southeastern Europeans. He even interpreted Mrs. Harrigan’s comments to Mrs. Lowry about her vacation Serbia, as a comment about Southeastern Europeans, and thus about him. He whose vision is defective always sees less than those with good eyesight; but he who is hard of hearing always hears something extra. This selective perception, or set, and while it can work for you in many cases (like looking for a particular shirt in your closet, and not paying attention to the others), it can work against you when your own security needs are so strong that they distort or limit your perceptions of the World and the people around you. We think in generalities, but we live in detail.

When Carlos heard any comments even remotely connected with him as being directly related to him, he was generalizing; he lumped everything he heard into one group and labeled it as hostile or critical of him. Generalization is not always a bad thing to do. Sometimes, however, generalization can be useful in forming concepts—a vital part of thinking and reasoning. We generalize about many things in life. We can use the word care when we look at or talk about a BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, or Lincoln. They do not necessarily look alike, but they all have a common quality, something we might call “carness.” Each has its own unique characteristics, but all they have in common is they are transportation vehicles with four wheels, a steering wheel, an engine, brakes, seats, and so on. In this sense, they are all automobiles or cars. Such generalization is helpful, so we do not always have to define a car when we are conversing. However, suppose your car gives you great mileage, low emissions, and makes you happy every time you look at it. If your experience with your car makes you cheerful and you love all cars, of the same make, you are being somewhat prejudice (however, prejudice is not always bad). Some people might generalize even further and day all cars in general are nice, and they go out of their way to buy a particular brand.

Fear Never Engenders Hope

The courage as well as cowardice of fools’ proceeds from not knowing what is or what is not the proper object of fear; we may account for the extreme hardiness of some people in the same manner as for the terrors of children at a bugbear. The child knows not but that the bugbear is the proper object of fear, the blockhead knows not that a cannonball is so. Fear is never more uneasy than when it doth not certainly know its object. Anger and love and the feeling of both or not operate separate compartments or in separate people. We cannot reject one and hope to experience the other. All of us have known fear. It is one emotion that seems to have real survival value. Without fear, we might walk into traffic, pick up a rattlesnake, jump off a cliff, or eat a poisonous mushroom. So, we cannot wish never to be afraid. Some people wish, however, that they did not experience fear so often or severely. Our instinctive emotions are those that we have inherited from a much more dangerous World, and contain, therefore, a larger portion of fear than they should. Instinctive responses are those which are natural or inborn, not learned. People find themselves thrown into an incomprehensible World…One lives in a whirlpool of instability, aloneness, suffering, and is haunted by the ultimate specter of death, and nothingness. One would like to escape from the burden of anxiety, but one would also like to know its meaning. Fear is a response to threat or danger. The same adrenal glands are involved, only this time the message from the pituitary is different: call out the adrenalin! Adrenalin has effects similar to those of noradrenalin, but also some additional ones.

You may have noticed that when you are frightened, you feel quite different from when you are angry. The whole body is activated now for defense or escape. If you cannot face and defend yourself against the threat, your body is ready to escape. All well and good if you were just an animal, running from a dangerous predator, because it would be just an instinctive response; however, as part of the human population, we have learned dozens of attitudes toward fear, event to the extent of prizing those people who do not seem to know the meaning of the word fear. A hero, we think, is someone who is never afraid. By this same reasoning, then, a person who feels fear is labeled a coward. And so fear goes, passed on from generation to generation. However, sometimes we have to stand firm, and face our fears, as long as there is no actual threat of violence. You never want to get hurt. Psychologically, it is nearly impossible never to feel fear. However, we have all learned society’s attitudes about it, so, in order not to appear spineless, people deny their fears, jump boldly into danger, and may die foolishly and needlessly. Stare the ugly horror right in the face; never a sidelong glance, nor half-look, for those are what show a frightful thing in its frightfullest aspect. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
