What Possibly Could Ever Happen to Derail the American Dream Machine?

There is nothing like a little journey together to make people understand each other. What is the reality which we are fleeing? What is it about the current reality that makes it more comforting psychologically to attempt to remake it than to deal directly with it? When the work of interpretation has been completed the dream can be recognized as a wish-fulfillment. If I can now declare that wish-fulfillment is the meaning of every dream, so that there cannot be any dreams other than wish-dreams, I know beforehand that I shall meet with the most emphatic contradiction. My critics will object: “The fact that there are dreams which are to be understood as fulfillment of wishes is not new, but has long since been recognized. That there can be no other dreams than those of wish-fulfillment is yet one more unjustified generalization; which, fortunately, can easily refuted.” #RyanPhillippe 1 of 9

Reality and unreality have always been opposite sides of the same dichotomy. Each is a reflection, a product of, and reaction to the other. It is so bewildering that many people find it easier to flee from reality than to deal with it. There are three principal features that characterize the new reality. The failure of success, or, the World changed drastically, but we did not factor; the strange order, or, everything is paradoxical factor; and the weird connections, or, everything is interconnected in strange ways factor. Taken together, they explain why reality is so generally incomprehensible. They reveal that we are no longer, as we once were, in control of our destiny. We are now the prisoner of, or at the very least subjected to, powerful and distant forces beyond our complete control. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 9

To understand the complexity that constitutes the new World, the proper starting point is the condition the United States of American found itself in prior to 11 September 2001, around this time, the United States of America had a budget surplus of $127 billion. Then America was the richest, strongest, biggest, and most productive economy in the World, it factories the most modern with the latest computer technologies. Its work force was the best educated and the most productive. Its industry produced the most advanced and highest quality goods. As a result, the U.S. goods were in high demand. In return for their high productivity and the high demand for goods, American workers enjoyed the highest salary benefits and standard of living anywhere on the planet. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 9

All of this was made possible by a number of distinct advantages the U.S. enjoyed over almost all other economies and nations of the World. Our resource base was incredible, the U.S. being blessed unlike no other nation in the abundance and extent of its raw materials. With very few exceptions, the U.S. was nearly self-sufficient. It was independent, as few nations were, of having to call upon the raw materials or financial support of others. American internal domestic markets were so huge that U.S. manufacturers and businesses could ignore without harm all other foreign markets and concentrate almost exclusively on markets they knew more intimately, like farming, and could control ore fully and directly. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 9

Our general technology base was the latest and most advanced, thus making our entire society the most modern for all times. The U.S. had in effect an almost monopolistic lock on the importation of whatever raw materials it lacked and at a cost considerably below prevailing World prices. Because the rest of the World lacked the productive and manufacturing facilities, they had few choices but to ship their raw materials to the United States of America below prevailing World market prices in return for final, finished products that were sold back to them. America also had one of the finest infrastructures mankind had ever seen. Its roads were the best for their times. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 9

Citizens were not only starved for American made goods and services, they also took pride in land ownership, national parks, and historical buildings. Manufactures could produce a limited number of distinct types and styles of goods, knowing that what they produced would be gobbled up instantly, no questions asked. Victorian houses were cherished for their authenticity, people loved Cadillac, and Eddie Bauer, the American flag was held high outside of many houses. And the lifecycle of consumer products like a car or refrigerator was normally 30 years. We did not have this disposable society were people knocked down perfectly good walls, for an open concept, to entertain friends and family they never see. Our bought new cars just to fit in and look cool. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 9

All this meant is was relatively easy to justify the costs involved in building big plants and equipment that were necessary to produce the goods in large quantities to service mass markets. One could be relatively certain that the demand for goods would still be there by the time they rolled off the assembly lines into American stores. BMWs and Mercedes-Benz were still considered exotic cars. The oceans acted as natural buffers and transporting costs were high. American was perceived as smarter than the rest of the World, and we could penetrate markets anywhere. Foreign manufactures had to pay huge costs to set up factories for distribution and dealer networks on our home shore. The grand result was that we could ignore the rest of the World, but they could not ignore us. #RyanPhillippe 7 of 9

We were the World. We were not only strong, but literally called the tune and choreographed the dance to the flamingo. Americans has decisive advantage in brains, talent, ingenuity, a well-educated labor force, affordable raw materials, and consumer tastes that were quite predictable. Mcscuse me bitch, but people loved McMansions, which reminded them of the Victorian era. The economy was enduring and stable, then manufacturing organizations—and even government agencies—could grow, so it would seem, almost without limit and lose no efficiency in the process. It is not mere industry that will produce good work, nor yet skill, nor even genius. The heart of the artist must be thrust with all its gushing tides into the performance. #RyanPhillippe 8 of 9

Like the land itself that was so big that it seemingly could never fully be conquered, organizations pursued growth like a demon. The aimed to be as expansive as the land they strove to emulate and finally to conquer. Prior to 911, the United States of America became the biggest, most successful economic—machine—the World had ever seen. And the term machine, metaphor that it is, was the perfect description for the country. Given the overwhelming success and advantages the U.S. enjoyed, what possibly could ever happen to derail the American dream machine? Or had there always been a monster, a nightmare, lurking somewhere within it? #RyanPhillippe 9 of 9

White Squall—he Hath been Bitten by a Serpent is Afraid of a Rope

We can anticipate calamities of the emerging, accelerating World information systems—sabotage—much like the one Center’s for Disease Control is investigating about how it is likely that Chipotle was the victim of corporate sabotage by the biotech industry, which targeted Chipotle with tainted food with Escherichia coli because of its non-Genetically Modified Organisms, financial crashes like those in Greece, cultural pillaging of diamonds in Sierra Leone, [false] news stories about celebrity engagements to break up their real relationship and possible drive their actual spouses to suicide, entertaining dictators like Mayor Kevin Johnson of Sacramento, California who forced taxpayers to fund part of a new sports colosseum, putting them in debt by $255.5 million (total cost $507 million), without being allowed to vote for it when the city is already $2.5 million in debt. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 5

We must pray that such information disasters occur early and often, so that caution is built into us and into the system. People are so desperate to build careers and to be the first to break the news that they do not even verify if it is true or make sure who it is really about. They are willing to hurt others in order to gain fame, notoriety, and status. The news should not be a popularity contest. The job of a journalist is not to convince people a story is true, even if it is not, your job is to present credible facts. However, it seems not that if you can blast a story to as many news outlets as possible, many will believe it is true without fact checking because other “credible” outlets are reporting the same story. You know the old story, “If everyone is saying it, it must be true.” Well, that is certainly not the case, and this is what is known as a misuse of authority. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 5

Testimony of experts and authorities is useful, as supporting material for claims because expects draw on larger data and knowledge base, than nonexperts. However, experts are not always correct (journalist and gossip columnist being a notable example), but they are usually more reliable than someone who is uninformed or only marginally knowledgeable, especially about a highly technical subject. Misuse of authority occurs when one uses an incomplete citation or insiders as a source and the reference to the authority is neither specific nor complete. Minimum requirements for a complete citation include qualification of authority if not obvious, place of publication, and date of reference. However, many people intentionally use biased sources, even when they know they are not credible, because they stand to gain something. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 5

Expediency is the dangerous White Squall by which so many of us have wrecked our Albatross. I have always observed that when people are interrupted in the performance of some egregious stupidity their feelings are hurt. Biased source (insiders) are special interest groups or individuals who stand to gain money, prestige, power, or influence simply by taking a certain position on an issues or crusaders for a cause are all biased even though they may have expertise. And sometimes there is a mistake in causation. Correlation mistaken for causation (post hoc ergo propter hoc)—when two phenomena vary simultaneously or one follows the other, a causal linkage is asserted based solely on the covariation of the two phenomena. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 5

For example, 27 January 1988, a test message was sent out from the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna to weather centers in 25 countries. The message was partially coded and was transmitted on the World Meteorological Association’s global telex and communications network. Clearly marked as a test, it referred to a buildup of radiation over the Soviet Bloc. A few days later, the stock markets in Tokyo and Hong Kong shuttered amid sudden rumors of another Chernobyl (nuclear disaster). In a matter of hours, the fallout spread to the markets in the Middle East, Europe, and finally Wall Street. By that time, and early warning monitoring station in Sweden has been put on full alert. Arrogance will produce submission and caution against sin, even to the innocent, can never be unwholesome. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 5

The Tree of Man—his Concern Remains Hidden

The more sophisticated they have become, the more primitive others have become; the more active they are, the more passive others are, and the real World recedes more and more. Neandertals were successful hunters, as the abundant remains of animal bones at their sites demonstrate. Interestingly, the pattern in Neandertals, especially the relatively high proportion of head and neck injuries, was most similar to that seen in contemporary rodeo performers. The similarity to the rodeo distribution suggests frequent close encounters with large ungulates (animals) unkindly disposed to the humans involved. There are a variety of hypotheses concerning the speech capacities of Neandertals, and many of these views are contradictory. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 9

Although some researchers argue that Neandertals were incapable of human speech, the prevailing consensus has been that they were capable of articulate speech, perhaps even fully competent in the rand of sounds produced by modern humans. However, even if we could conclude that Neandertals could speak, that does not necessarily mean that they have the same language capabilities of modern Homo sapiens. As a result, Neandertals used symbolic behaviors. Like, they would speak with the eyes, and use gestures, as they were not always able to vocalize their feelings and emotions. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 9

On the basis of the type of behavioral and anatomical evidence, Neandertals in recent years have increasingly been viewed as an evolutionary dead end. However, we are starting to see more of this primitive culture resurface in the 21st century. The paradox is that the more science has developed, the more good things it has given us, the more general populace has retreated to non, pre-scientific modes of explanation and guarantor notions. The dream about science has always been to replace explanations of the World that are based on individual, personal experiences or particular authorities (e.g., shamans, gossip, religious authorities) with explanations that are grounded (i.e., guaranteed) by objective, impersonal mechanisms such as logical, scientific theories. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 9

If reality does not satisfy that perceived public requirement, then unreality has been invented in order to fill it. What is so fascinating about TV news, in many cases, is that the guarantor behind its believability—its “truths” loosely defined—is that of pleasing personalities in particular and entertainment in general. Again, there is an incredible paradox inherent in TV’s guarantor notion. The more science has delivered inventions that in themselves are not only beyond the pale of more people’s comprehensions, but with such abundance and speed that they literally challenge the ability of most people to make sense of them, the more people have been forced to retreat to pre-scientific guarantors (gossip, lies, myths) to make sense of their World. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 9

The end result is that no one takes seriously any longer one of the profoundest dreams of the Enlightenment, i.e., the notion that science would liberate humans generally, so that if the masses were not fluent in the detailed understanding of science or scientific method, they would at least appreciate the necessity for governing human affairs based upon the strong guidance of science. Instead of the widespread diffusion and respect for science among the general populace, quite the reverse has occurred. What we have instead is the diffusion of social science fiction as evidence by the recent popularity of reality TV, news, tabloids, and celebrity gossip. The public’s obsession with unreality is to be found increasingly throughout all of society. TV is not alone in perpetuating it. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 9

Again, TV new is only the most explicit model for this unreality, so delicious that it is being adopted widely and improved on in ways that prove that modeling is the sincerest form of flattery. News has even taken on the form of a popular game show called Jeopardy, but it is an acquired taste. Jeopardy is very interesting, but it is a lot like history, political science, and popular culture formatted into hard news. If bright young pretty faces, and cool graphics were used, it might be more appealing to the masses. However, not all smart people are attractive and you have to be nearly a genius to patriciate. If models were fed answers, then Jeopardy would probably be more popular, but would lose credibility because it would then be fake. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 9

Lately, Matthew Ryan Phillippe has been raising a critical eyebrow or two by his decision to develop a format of online news, using a young man as an entertainment package, who many are calling the bastardized version of Ryan Phillippe. However, the bastardized version is really catching the public’s attention, Worldwide, and taking news a step further. The pair produces short articles, with beautiful photographs, and reflects on trivial and serious ideas. Its pace, feel, and look are fast as so not to bore the audience, and also keep their interest through constant stimulation, and helps make complex important issues significantly stimulating for the eyes and the brains of the viewers. #RyanPhillippe 7 of 9

This online spinoff of Ryan Phillippe is modeled along the lines of pure entertainment, but he even exalts in the fact; entertainment is thus the dominant rationale for the basic appeal of Randolph Harris. None of this should be really surprising once one understands that all human institutions and games operate by a distinct set of rules. We see him not as the real thing per se but an acted, staged version of Ryan. Is it any wonder then why young adults applying to college now send in videos of themselves to admissions committees? Presidential candidates now make videos of themselves so that if they cannot travel up and down a state, then their video versions can. #RyanPhillippe 8 of 9

And having become so used to all this it could attract a new audience and keep Ryan Phillippe as a hot topic. Have we not become so used to seeing videos of products in stores that even when the product is next to a TV itself, many of us prefer to watch TV? After all, if entertainment is now the norm throughout all our society, then acting dominates over content. Many people want to diversify their careers, you see so many actors getting into fashion, opening restaurants, so why not produce your own news, create a spinoff to represent you, and blast your images, photographs, and information around the World? It is definitely a sophisticated attempt, while others simply become more primitive. #RyanPhillippe 9 of 9

The Building and Cinderella Complex

Touch your heart as far as you are being as far as I see, with your trust, you feel my hunger and you can take anything you want from me. I am running on your love, sailing on my thoughts, drifting into your heart, a boat to take me home, to belong, to be one. The only constant in TV news are the personalities of the news anchors and reporters. Many of you see them more often, certainly in your houses, more than you do your friends, neighbors, relatives, and even your co-workers from whom several are increasingly growing distant. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 12

A recent Harris poll points out, many people are so stressed out on their jobs that they do not want to invite anyone into their houses, on the regular basis, who would perturb, anger, or raise unpleasant issues in any way. God forbid that we would actually have to engage in serious conversation which would probably lead to disagreements with which we would have to deal. However, could you imagine being jammed up about the case of Mike Brown over a Thanksgiving Holiday, when all you want to do is eat and pretend we live in utopia? #RyanPhillippe 2 of 12

Thus, a prime requisite for being a TV news anchor is not necessarily that of being on top of the news, but of being able to mollify the audience, soothe them after a long hard day of stress. Not many people want to constantly be reminded that pretty soon, only the rich will be able to afford to reproduce and that poor people reproducing would be considered irresponsible because they cannot guarantee that their children will be able to lifelong productive lives even if they work hard and graduate from college. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 12

The reality of life is that poor are being exterminated through natural selection. Natural selection refers to genetic change or changes in the frequencies of certain traits in populations due to differential reproductive success between individuals. And with the cost of living rising in America, in Sacramento, California alone, the cost of housing has more than doubled over the last decade, many people are seeing that a college education is important to survival, going to school, and collecting huge amounts of debt, in the process. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 12

As a result of the demand of a college education to increase chances of success, this is also acting as a form of population control, many youth are not having kids because they are too busy trying to provide a future for themselves, and by the time they are done with college, several have between $35,000 to $100,000 and student loan debts and cannot afford to buy a home, or reproduce, so they focus on paying down that debt. Some do feel lonely and want child(ren), but know they cannot afford them so they just buy dogs. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 12

Other youth do not even realize they are lonely and want kids because they are so busy filling their lives with all the new and exciting technology, which replaces their desire for child(ren). They realize that it cost about $584,000 to raise a kid until the age of 18, and that money could be spent on cars, technology, or buying a larger home, traveling and clothing, so they forgo having child(ren). For others, by the time they pay off their student loan debt, they may have only been able to afford to produce one child, or their biological clock passed them up. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 12

No one framework exists in a complex World that can make sense of everything, even if the public was interested in what is going on with overpopulation, population control, the eradication of poverty through natural selection, it would take too much dull, boring, and stressful lectures to teach to them anyway. So little or no attempt is made to present a larger view in which these issues could be located in some coherent framework for TV. You have to find independent journalist, who will put the thoughts together for you and explain what is actually going on. #RyanPhillippe 7 of 12

When ideas and events themselves no longer carry any badge or mark of instant coherency and credibility then the cohesion we require to make sense of our lives has to be carried by some other elements in our society. In this age of huge, bureaucratic institutions, lacking not only the personal touch, care, and concern, but also the regard for the dignity of either their employees or those whom they pretend to serve, what better supplier of continuity could there be than the pleasant faces who make pablum out of chaos and soothe our fragile minds by masquerading as our “friends.” #RyanPhillippe 8 of 12

In a highly clever and skillfully crafted series of short promotional videos, we get to “know” the TV anchor personalities through intimate mini-portraits highlighting their lives, their interests, backgrounds, and families. The general theme is one of “We are family; you can trust us because we are just like you; we like baseball, kids, families, and love the community.” There has been talks about replacing TV anchors with robots, but many of your news anchors really do care and provide you with services you cannot get from a robot. #RyanPhillippe 9 of 12

Recently, Dale Schornack of ABC10 News in Sacramento, California USA took a vacation, and on his way to the Sierra mountain range, it was snowing, and he came across a family stuck in the snow because they did not have chains for their car to keep going, and they did not have food or water, so Mr. Schornack gave the family food and water, and they had a baby with them, so it was very kind that a TV news anchor gave his last to a family in need. Also, Mr. Schornack recently had a birthday, at the end of March, and while on vacation, he brought viewers a story about a historical home he thought would interest them. This was very kind, and these are the type of TV news personalities we want in our houses. #RyanPhillippe 10 of 12

TV news is entertainment and many of the personalities on TV are good, but not all of them, yet we should not stereotype them all as bad, or fake. Entertainment not only constitutes a significant portion of the content within the news, but it has become integral to the content leading up to the news. The personalities that constitute the news not only perform on and with it, but they perform off it as well, and in many cases what you are seeing is real, they care. That is the truth about the natural and social Worlds so that these people can help you improve your lives by leading by example and produce true knowledge. #RyanPhillippe 11 of 12

Anyone who appears constantly on the screen is by definition a celebrity. And to be a celebrity is to constantly fester the public’s incessant requirement to know what the people are like who appear before them continuously. So these people cannot be rude, they cannot be seen stumbling out of the club drunk at 2am, they cannot relieve themselves on the side of the road, even if it is an emergency, for fear of letting a view down. They are looked at as superhuman and expected to behave that way. They have to anticipate, expect, and plan ahead to keep their audience happy. TV personalities without the negative and dramatic emotions. #RyanPhillippe 12 of 12

We No Longer Care to Differentiate Between Reality and Unreality

News is supposed to give us information in order to function more effectively in a complex World. However, pseudo reality, like reality TV shows, music videos, and the lifestyles of the rich and famous makes the unreal or out of touch looks so entertaining that many people no longer care about reality. And because most people are so tuned into unreality, many can no longer care to differentiate between reality and unreality, even if they could. If someone hears something they do not want to deal with or believe, they just say, “That’s crazy,” or they find someone to take down and unfairly blame for the situation, often times without that individual being around to defend themselves, and will go as far as to make a punishment for them. New critical observers, including the networks themselves, resist any longer the notions that TV news has become so infused by the techniques of entertainment that, for all practical purposes, TV news, in many cases, has become just another form of entertainment. The morning news shows have so consciously and deliberately adopted entertainment formats that the networks not only admit openly that they have become pure entertainment, but they even discuss and debate the percentages of entertainment content the shows are supposed to have. It is probably even fairer to say that at best the thinking of the news networks is perfectly schizophrenic on the issue. The barriers between the entertainment and news divisions have now merged and instead of hard news, you get news with personality. Having crossed over the line into entertainment, the nightly news programs are becoming news soap operas because they are not only face competition from other news programs, which are also trying to jockey their position, but from other prime time TV programs that they are trying to displace. TV news has become almost pure entertainment is clear from its adoption of most of the techniques that are characteristic of entertainment. For instance, after a tragedy, reporters always use the statement, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected,” knowing maybe only 15 percent of them will actually say a prayer.

The most obvious features that news is entertainment is: The glitzy, hi-technology studio sets; the pretty faces, not only women, but men wearing blush, wigs, lip-gloss and lipstick. The entertaining personalities of the anchors and special assignment people; the easy flowing conversation and back and forth banter among the news team that has the appearance of being spontaneous, but is often rehearsed as much as a talk show (at best we witness a form of improvisational melodrama); the fact that rarely, if ever, do we witness open conflict, debate, and confrontation between the news anchors. The fact that mainly only surface issues in the form of numbers get reported (e.g., how many mines are there in Syria, how many combatant soldiers have been captures, etc.), not the deeper why’s of the situation. There are stunning visuals which generally introduce the shows by zooming in on the city or region in relations to the rest of the United States of America; the slick graphics that transition the movement between news segments; the tantalizing teasers with their accompanying provocative headlines announcing segments to comes; the intermingling of the titillating and the humorous with the semi-serious, especially on the morning “news” programs.; the constant interspersing of the bizarre, celebrity guest-sports, the inane, and the potentially World shattering. The overall effect is one where the studio set, the look, and the feel of the show, the newscasters as both personal friends and storytellers of a very special kind to the viewing public predominate. The news no longer just informs you; it entertains you. Ha Ha Ha, Ha!

Deliberate Denial and Distortion of Reality

The industry of unreality can no longer leave the social construction of reality to society, random chance or accident. Unreality is a major business and manufacturing it and spoon feeding it to the masses is easy. Most people are far too lazy to pick up a book and read because it takes critical thinking and concentration. They would rather be spoon fed sleazy gossip through the media about things that do not matter because they are easy to invoke anger and respond to. It is estimated 70 percent that what passes for news and information in our society is deliberately manufactured and distorted. The end consequence is that society is less able to face its true problems directly, honestly, and intelligently. A further consequence is that it takes crises of increasing impact, like what recently happen in Belgium and Nature Fury of wild weather events to redirect our attention back to reality, if then. However, even mega-crises seem to be no longer sufficient to capture our attention in a society that has become anesthetized to crises of all kinds. How does one separate illusion from reality in an electronic society the serves up soup kitchen visions of disaster nearly every day? It could be that American experienced 911 as yet another media event, something witnessed, but not quite real.

Individuals are getting used to the idea of sudden media temper tantrums followed by sudden recoveries that just take texting a couple of dollars to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army to face. People do not smell the stench of dead bodies that linger in the streets for months, the smell of concentrated urine and feces on adults and child(ren), that would make one throw up. They do not know that injuries are more than just cuts and bruises, but fracture bones that will hurt for life. Great public crises come and go, Aaliyah’s airplane crashes—but life goes on, even though 9 people were killed. People are accepting this weird way of life as a given. Unreality has some serious impacts on individuals, and our society as a whole. Injuries, assaults, threats, harassment and death affect more than just the immediate family. The phenomenon of unreality is so multifaceted that if defies both definition and examination through any single lens. The reason unreality is so powerful a force in our society is precisely that it is a result of a combination of mutually reinforcing influences. Social media, TV, newspapers, religion, film, and politics all illustrate and reinforce unreality. The lies and falsehoods that the media, producers, talent agents, and corporations want you to believe is not only ripping families apart, but the government also.

Apple recently took the Federal Bureau of Investigation to court to prevent them from having a master key to Apple products, which would be used in an effort to prevent terrorist attacks. No one wants another 911 attack or Boston Bombing, and the FBI should be allowed to use whatever means necessary to stop them. Some people die in these attacks, but others survive and end up with missing feet, arms, and legs, or head injuries so bad that they become intellectually disabled. Sometimes their faces get burned off and become disfigured, and no one should have to die nor live that way when we have the technology to prevent these mega disasters from even happening. Technology should also be used to make our lives safer, not just make people look cool, allow people to get away with doing whatever they want, or destroy families. The media (social media, TV, newspapers, cell phones) plays a huge role in dissemination and fostering of unreality, but it also shows that the role of the various communication media cannot be properly understood unless we also understand how they function within the larger entertainment industry. If it is not fun, cute, dramatic, or packaged in a ten-second sound bite, then forget it. If it cannot be presented with a smiling, cheerful, sexy face, then it is not worth attending to.

We are all spectators in a grand entertainment society looking up at the few superstars on the stage who not only perform, but stand out enough to be labeled heroes of our age. In contemporary America, one is either a celebrity or one is nobody. The cycle of sin, denial, confession, and sin again is thus another of our principal forms of entertainment. To complete the circle, entertainment itself is one of the biggest factors contributing to the denial of reality, and hence, to the continued rise of unreality. This, then, is the Age of Unreality and Disinformation. People use entertainment as a substitute for dealing directly with problems. We have become so adept at the manufacturing and consumption of fantasy that the distinction between reality and unreality is now virtually meaningless. Unreality One refers to the fact that we are imaginary person, pace, or things that an electronic image and a real person can interact at the same time on a computer screen or TV so that a viewer cannot tell whether one or both of the images are real or not. An image of Matthew Ryan Philippe and Randolph Harris shaking hands or hitting one another can be projected on a screen and most people cannot tell if it is real or doctored.

Consider another example. We are now able to store electronically an image of, say, Reese Witherspoon in a computer, then substitute for that one of Meryl Streep in Out of Africa so that if one wanted to see Reese Witherspoon in the role, one could do it without having to reshoot the entire movie. So now celebrities can sell packages of copy-written electronic images out right, and one can spend like $5,000.00 to get a photo with Matthew Ryan Phillippe and a handwritten letter and have never met him a day in their lives. But why not, in a society where people are encouraged to sell every fragment of their being or personality for profit? This is why Paris Hilton could be in Paris, France and in Beverly Hills at the exact same time, and you thought maybe there were two of her. The entertainment industry is all about profits and controlling the images of stars. This is a deliberate denial and distortion of reality, complexity, through the massive infusion of entertainment into every aspect of society which on its surface purports to deal with reality. The problem is the stars cannot always control their image and altered photography, in some cases, is used to intentionally rip their relationships apart. Your favorite TV hunk might be being held hostage by an unknown model Pauli Pocket (prostitute).

Anti-Trust: Sin, Denial, Confession, and Sin Again!

The fundamental purpose of all forms of unreality is to provide an illusion of control. If people cannot control the realities with which they are faces, then they will invent unrealities over which they can maintain the illusion of control. There is currently a global drug problem, and particularly in the United States of America. Fentanyl is a narcotic used to treat severe pain, and it can cause life-threatening respiratory distressed when taken in high doses or when combined with other substances, and also has a high risk of dependency. Fentanyl is now being laces into Norco pills and sold on the streets. Norco is a powerful narcotic used to treat pain, and also can cause life-threatening respiratory distress when taken in high doses or when combined with other substances. Also has a high risk of dependency. In the Sacramento region alone, there have been 29 cases of people overdosing in Norcos laced with Fentanyl, and 7 people have died so far. Sacramento County and El Dorado County Sheriff’s Offices are assisting the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration with a regional investigation and warning people not to take the drugs, if they have not been prescribed, because they could kill you.

With all the money that is spent on drug enforcement, U.S. officials are only able to seize on the average ten percent of the drugs entering the country. What is particularly disheartening is that even if the U.S. were to increase substantially its efforts, it might stop an additional ten percent of illegal drugs. And stopping an additional ten percent may only make the problem get worse. One solves the original problem, as it were, at the expense of creating another problem. Some fear that stopping more street drugs would only drive up the prices of the remaining drugs illegally being distributed, thus only increasing further the wealth of the Colombian drug lords. It would not stop appreciably the flow of drugs into the United States of America, and the resulting problems. Indeed, American drug addicts would have to seal even more in order to pay for the higher price of drugs. Some people are saying that legalizing drugs is a great idea because it would undercut the economics of the whole process. However, that is not morally acceptable. It is the same principle as if your kids steal, you just give them whatever they want to prevent them from stealing. And letting drug offenders out of prison and jail early also defeats the purpose of the war on drugs. It is the same as letting your kids off punishment because you cannot afford to stay home from work and make sure they are obeying your rules.

Another example of unreality creating problems in the World is the new technology. Technology not only creates new problems but new diseases as well. Computers have given rise to whole new kind of disease called computer viruses. These are not viruses in the strict biological sense, but instead computer programs invade and attack the logic of the host computers into which they are input. Many of the viruses are so sophisticated that they cannot be detected by the most sophisticated of means. The computer viruses are often concealed within so-called normal or friendly-appearing programs that are used to run computer systems. What is more, they are often embedded within modern day Trojan Horses, i.e., inside free gifts that are sent to the operators of computer systems. Computer viruses have been used to attack dams, which were in some cases, thankfully down for maintenance. The result of technology is that once-sacred geopolitical borders are increasingly irrelevant. Technology and drug usage are signs that reality itself has become increasingly complex over the course of this century, in particular, the ability of the average citizen to make sense of that complexity has diminished accordingly. It has also become clear that when the World can no longer be made coherent, either through explanation or action, then we seek coherence elsewhere. In a World of people who are going mad, as the result of overwhelming complexity, the requirement for coherence does not diminish. Its requirement becomes even greater.

If we cannot find coherence in ideas or intellectual patterns alone, then we seek it in alternate forms, e.g., in cult of personalities like Mayor Kevin Johnson of Sacramento (who is now being used by 14 other mayors and also causing the city of Sacramento to get used also well); in pseudo made for TV pop heroes like the Sacramento Hometown Heroes; in entertaining and amusing faces that soothe over our requirement for satisfying explanations. The 21st century has succeeded in the deliberate manufacturing and distribution of celebrities on a wide scale. Many have developed fascinations with celebrities that borders on the sociopathic. The fascination with celebrities, however, is only part of a larger, virtually unexplored phenomenon. In recent years, it has become fashionable to engage in culture of bashing of various forms: celebrities, TV, and education. However, the critics seem to be missing something because of their failure to see the underlying general phenomenon which is at work. People are bashing celebrities because they cannot fully control nor understand their own World, so they have invented substitute realities that they can control via their social media comments and feel like they have control over something. The fundamental purpose of unreality is to provide an illusion of control. If they cannot control what the city council or the mayor is doing with their tax dollars, or their children or spouse, they just bash a celebrity to make themselves feel better.

Science and the Paranormal—Extrasensory Perception, Fraud, or Witchcraft?

Extrasensory perception (ESP) is considered to a paranormal (beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding), and is the purported ability to perceive events in ways that cannot be explained by known sensory capacities. Parapsychology is the study of ESP and other psi phenomena (events that seem to defy accepted scientific laws). Psi phenomena are events that seem to life outside the realm of accepted scientific laws. Parapsychologist seek an answer to the questions raised by three basic forms that ESP could take. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 12

These forms ESP could take are: Clairvoyance, which is the purported ability to perceive events or gain information in ways that appear unaffected by distance or normal physical barriers. Telepathy—the extrasensory perception of another person’s thoughts, or more simply, the purported ability to read someone else’s mind. Precognition is another and defined as the purported ability to perceive or accurately predict future events. Precognition may take the form of prophetic dreams that foretell the future. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 12

While we are at it, we might as well toss in another purported psi ability: Psychokinesis, which is the purported ability to exert influence over inanimate objects by willpower (mind over matter). (Psychokinesis cannot be classed as a type of perception, extrasensory or otherwise, but it is frequently studied by parapsychologist.) #RyanPhillippe 3 of 12

Modern parapsychologists are now well aware of the requirement for double-blind experiments, maximum security and accuracy in record keeping, meticulous control, and repeatability of experiments. In the last ten years, hundreds of experiments have been reported in parapsychological journals, many of them supporting the existence of psi abilities. Nevertheless, psychologists, as a group, remain skeptical about psi abilities. Why does the scientific community continue to doubt many of these experiments? #RyanPhillippe 4 of 12

Parapsychology hinges on the grounds of witchcraft, it is not an ability human are supposed to possess. Micah 3.7 reports, “Seers will be put to shame. Those who practice witchcraft will be disgraces. All of them will cover their faces, because God will not answer them.” You might be thinking, if God loves all, why would he punish witches. On Charmed, starting Alyssa Milano, witches were depicted as being good beings. However, they are not allowed to use their powers for personal gain, or they would lose them. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 12

Alyssa Milano’s character on Charmed was called Phoebe Halliwell. She had the active powers of premonition, levitation, empathy, psychic reflection, and high resistance. She also had mediumship and could perceive the presence of ghost and spirits. She also had the ability to scry, which would show the location of any living magical or possessed being or object, and she could cast spells and make potions. However, when she would force premonitions, even if it was to save a life, she would lose her powers. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 12

In reality, skeptics, serious researchers, and many religious leaders in ESP all agree on one point. If psychic phenomena do occur, they cannot be controlled well enough to be used by entertainers and fraud would be another problem that would plague the field of parapsychology. Walter J. Levy, who was former director of J.B. Rhine’s laboratory, was caught faking records. So have some others who got positive results of ESP. Even honest scientists have been fooled by various frauds and cheats, so there is reason to remain skeptical and on guard. #RyanPhillippe 7 of 12

The greatest danger may lie in errors by sincere, but self-deceiving, investigators. It is remarkable, for instance, that many parapsychologists chose to ignore a famous “psychic’s” habit of peeking at ESP cards during a test. However, the potential for fraud does not stop there. Many worry that people could pretend to “predict” events and stage them to happen. For example, many people will go to the club and cheat on their spouse, in the event that there is credible evidence of their spouse is actively cheating. #RyanPhillippe 8 of 12

So someone might use photo altering software to make it look like Ryan is cheating, then show the photos to his spouse, provoking the spouse to go to the club, bring someone back home and cheat. Chances are the person will stay the night, and when Ryan gets back from vacation early to catch his spouse in the act of cheating, it will seem that the “predication” was true, but it was staged. This event actually happened, but when Ryan checked, his spouse was alone, had just woke up to answer the door, and there is only one way out, so he would have seen someone leaving. #RyanPhillippe 9 of 12

Another problem with ESP is that you could have a real psychic on your hands, and people may try to manipulate this person. Also, you have to realize, even with someone who has ESP some events may happen others may not. The person may not even be aware of their abilities. Parapsychological skills are very fragile and unpredictable, and many of the most spectacular findings in parapsychology simply cannot be replicated (reproduced or repeated), or they could be so far in the future that there is still a likelihood of it happening. #RyanPhillippe 10 of 12

Some people really do receive impressions of future events, but it can take years of close scrutiny before the flaws in a particular parapsychology experiment comes to light. Therefore, parapsychological experiments are deemed inconclusive, unless they are replicated by other scientists. The scientist has to also recognize that his own mental processes may influence the phenomenon he is observing. If he is a total skeptic, the scientist may well turn off the psychic subject. Or the subject may choose to, for unknown reasons, to suppress their abilities, and may or may not be aware of it. #RyanPhillippe 11 of 12

It is impossible to say conclusively whether psi events occur. As we have seen, a close look at psi experiments often reveals serious problems with the way the analysis gathers information, their procedures, and scientific rigor. However, being a skeptic does not mean someone is against something. It means that you are unconvinced. The purpose of this discussion, then, has been to counter uncritical acceptance of psi. It would take scientifically demonstrated and consistent evidence to truly prove the existence of ESP. We would require a set of instructions that would allow any competent, unbiased observer to produce a psi event under standardized conditions. So god luck with your research, but maybe there is a reason God does not allow these gifts to be completely understood? We have enough problems separating reality and fantasy as it is, this could lead to confusion and disorientation and danger. #RyanPhillippe 12 of 12

Scientist Discover that there May have Once Been Life on Earth

As the reality in the World has become increasingly complex, especially since the invention of the internet, social media, and programs that allow one to alter photography, we have developed a fascination with unreality that is virtually psychopathic. Many media outlets, including tabloids, news, social media, and television programs have become some of the most pivotal social forces shaping out time, and the situation is particularly dangerous because we are on a collision course with reality. There is a pervading, powerful sense of unreality infiltrating our land, lives, and minds. People listen to celebrity gossip and watch the Basketball Wives and that becomes their Bible, their primary mode of reference. It dominates how and what they think of themselves and others, how they define their problems, shape their actions, and how they define their World. The media has become a testing ground for what producers and talent managers want to call reality. The Unreality Industry of the media is a disturbing phenomenon. We have seen it rip lives apart in Hollywood all the time. Often times, talent managers want to display a certain imagine to entice fans to like their group or celebrity, so they create fake relationships for the talent and false stories that they think the public would like to generate revenue, but sometimes it is also to privately destroy the celebrity and alienate him so he will feel that he has to submit to the will of his talent manager, or lose his job.

The talent manager then controls the celebrities’ image through threats, public relationship juxtaposition, intentionally staged videos, and altered photography. The consequence is that the media not only defines what reality is, but much more importantly and disturbingly, the media obliterates families and the very distinction, the very line, between reality and unreality. Some might ask why not just display the real lives of these celebrities, that is what we want to see, what want to know they are real? The problem is that sex and drama sell. It has been proven that when there is a cat fight, threats, or a cheating scandal that ratings, sales, and papers all skyrocket and generates billions of dollars annually. Many of these celebrity stories and photography opportunities are deliberately manifested and sold on a gigantic scale. The end result is society is less able to face its true problems directly, honestly, and intelligently. Everything becomes a big drama or take down. In the process of the unreality industry, TV and other forms of media of mass communication and entertainment have degraded our general level of education and debased our national discourse. Instead of grappling honestly with our problems, i.e., of dealing directly with reality itself, people just ignore what they are doing and when you bring an issue to their attention they respond with states like, “What are you talking about?” or “Are you okay?” or “That’s crazy,” and inevitable drift to unreality reaches new lows. However, unreality is no longer just affecting the media, it has become so pervasive that it is seeping into everyday lives of many people.

Because commercial television makes so much money doing its worst, it cannot afford to do its best and many have picked up on the fact that ignoring problems and pretending that people are crazy if a good way to save money in the short run, but the long-term cost can be quite expensive when remediation is required. Eventually if people keep drifting into unreality, the principles of evolution will produce a population indistinguishable from lower forms of primates and planet life. People will become super hostile or extremely fragile. Some people suspect that their used to be life on other planet, Mars was once thought to be capable of sustaining life. There are burps of methane, which could indicate life or evidence of ancient methane been trapped which could show ancient life. There are also these dark, narrow, 100 metre long streaks called recurring slope lineage flowing downhill on Mars and are inferred to have been formed by water, and there is what looks like moss growing on Mars. Many are convinced that Mars was once inhabited by rational human beings like us, who had the misfortune, some 6,600 years ago, to allow television, gossip, and ignorance to control their lives, while ignoring the Word of God. Unreality rises because of the way the mind is organized, people find it easier to gossip and watch TV, than to read educational books and play sports.

The unique cultural history of many families predisposes many people around the World to the cult of unreality. The vast, powerful entertainment industry, now mixing with politicians who want to be celebrities, widens the influence the unrealistic media have over the television, print, politics, medical, educational, and the justice system. The power of the media has turned presidential candidates and debates into drama queens and malicious comedy. The deliberate, systematic manufacturing or unreality that has emerged primarily in reaction to our inability to cope with this new World of perverse complexity. Society no longer wants overwhelming, complexity through longer trains of though necessary to achieve proper understanding of any event or phenomenon of education, technology, religion, nor modern society. God warns of the unreality industry, “You shall not bow down to them nor worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the child(ren) for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.” More and more spheres of life are thrown together into instant and strange conjunctions than ever before. 15-to-20-second snips or sound bites of limited and simplified contextless information which concentrate mainly on a single point of view through the use of one liner phrases, and countless disconnected images.

The focus on short term goals such as money, notoriety, instant fame, the attempt to create stability by refusing to update our views of the World. We continue to believe that we are the biggest and best, and that “we got this,” but are $19.2 trillion in debt. The quickened pace of all events through the ability to communicate rapidly through computers and television has prevented people from obtaining verified or credible information. Often times breaking news is gossip being used as a method of hunting people, but the audience loves it and keeps tuning in. Computers and the rapid release of information may actually be driving people apart and increasing stress in our general lives. Socially and economically, we have become a second-rate nation, as more and more of our destiny is controlled by other nations like the Middle East, who are also not our allies, but we are so dependent on their fuel. And more and more family values are severely in question. We continue to believe that we can get along just fine without other and that we are God’s chosen people, and our destiny is to shape the World. So if that is the case, we should get back to our Christian roots and stop removing God from society.

Love Should Feel Good Sometimes

When I think of meeting my true love, I think of someone who respects me, pay attention to me and is kind to me. Someone who wants us to grow together, as a couple, and protect me from harm. I think when someone truly loves you, they pay attention to your work, compliment you, and try to help you grow as a person. You two do things like take romantic vacation to Paris, France, and take photographs in front of the Eiffel Tower, have brunch on Sunday’s at Circa55 in Beverly Hills, California USA. Love means making a person feel good about who they are and helping them through the hard times, but also doing fun things together. Sometimes you can just tell that two people belong together. Other times opposites attract. The main thing is to love someone who treats you right. #RandolphHarris 1 of 7

There are, of course, other types of love. There is also the love you share with your family, familiar love. When you love your family, you also do anything to protect them, but it is not the same as romantic love. A great example and dedication of love between a father and daughter is on one of my favorite shows 2 Broke Girls. Caroline is the beautiful, tall blonde, who looks like she just walked off of the runway, her father is accused of a crime and is sent to prison. Caroline losses everything and goes from a billionaire to being homeless. People pick on her just because of who her father it. They beat her up, pull her hair, refuse to hire her, and kick her out of their homes. #RandolphHarris 2 of 7

However, through all the pain and drama, Caroline always stays true to her father and never blames him for the hardship she has to endure because of the crimes her father is accused of. Caroline meets a very nice young lady called Max, Max takes Caroline in and gets her a job at the diner and protects her from the bullies. The type of love in this show 2 Broke Girls is impressive. Caroline’s father gave her the World, and always treated her well, and would never do anything to hurt her, he would die for his daughter to protect her. However, some money came up missing, a lot of it, and Martin Channing took the fall for the missing money. No one knows if he really had anything to do with the crime, but he is he unfairly blamed for the problems and keeps his mouth shut possibly due to threats. #RandolphHarris 3 of 7

Gossip Girl was also a very interesting show. There was this young man called Nathaniel Fitzwilliam Archibald. He grew up as an only child. He had a very nice life planned out, he was engaged to marry a young lady, his high school sweet heart. The kids were all rich and lived in mansions and penthouses in New York. However, Nathaniel found out his father, Howard Archibald, was embezzling money, and reported him to the authorities. I thought this was wrong because the father provided for his son and never hurt him. Also the allegations ripped the family apart and caused the parents to divorce. They lost their mansion and the father went to prison. Also, because of the Archibald name was stained the mother, Anne Archibald ostracized, and the marriage offer for Nathaniel was rescinded from the Waldorf family because of the scandal. #RandolphHarris 4 of 7

Caroline loved her father through his troubles because always supported and loved her, he never abused her, so she kept persevering through her troubles and she had a support group and people who loved her to help her through it. Nate on the other hand grew up rich and spoiled and his father never did him wrong, but he exposed his own father, and people hated him for that. How can you turn on the man who loved you provided a roof over your head, and kept money in your pocket? That was not cool. However, some parents abuse their child and will used these example to say, “Hey, do not report me or turn your back on me, or people will hate you.” Often times these abusive parents are not support their children, but the children still face the pains like Caroline and Nathaniel. #RandolphHarris 5 of 7

Successful people do not want to get involved with people who come from scandalous families because it could kill their career and cause them to lead an unhappy life. Sure, if the Waldorf’s allowed Nathaniel to marry their daughter Blair, she could have been with her true love, but at the same time it probably would have ruined the family business because shareholders do not want to be associated with someone who has a shady past. Investors and clients might catch wind and not want to do business with them, they could lose millions of dollars. And with Caroline, her father never abused her because he was her only parent and stuck by her side and did what was right for the family. People who love you will not abuse, harass, or attack you on purpose. Just remember that. #RandolphHarris 6 of 7

If your relationship starts off bad and the person is always cheating on you and mistreating you, and you know you should leave them, leave them. Even if threaten to commit suicide, and say they need you in their life and promise to change, chances are they will not. They may even throw some chump change your way, like a few thousand for a year, and use that to entice you and show you that they care, but they are going to want that money back with interest and chances are they are spending more than that on the prostitutes and pimps they are running with. You know what love feels like and it is not supposed to hurt all of the time. People many try to manipulate and abuse you, but do not allow it. Also, people who love you will spend time with you, but just stalk you and spy on you. Because when they finally kill you or you drink yourself to death, they will find someone else to abuse like nothing happened. #RandolphHarris 7 of 7
