Time is the Only thing that Cannot be Spared!

Time—I see it not, I feel it not: it is but a shadowy name—a succession of breathings measured forth by night by the clank of a bell, by day by a shadow crossing along a dialstone. We never know how high we are until we are called to rise; and then, if we are true to plan, our statures touch the skies. The heroism we recite would be a daily thing, did not ourselves the cubits warp for gear to be a king. If we look out of a window in Winter, we might see millions of identical snowflakes cavorting by. However, if we took a magnifying glass and looked at the flakes separately, we would soon discover that they were not identical—in fact, that each had a shape no other flake duplicated exactly. The same is true of human beings. We can tell quite a lot about what Reese will experience just by the fact that she is human. We can tell even more by knowing she is an American girl, living in a certain specific community, with parents of such and such occupation. There is never time to say our last work—the last work of our love, of our desire, faith, remorse, submission, revolt. However, after everything is said and done, knowing all the external parameters will not allow us to predict what Reese’s life will be like. Not only because random chance might throw all bets off, but more importantly, because Reese has her own mind with which she can either decide to squander her opportunities, or conversely overtake advantage of the gift of being alive and make a success out of herself. Gaining time is gaining everything in love, trade, and politics.

It is because of this flexibility of human consciousness that we are not able to know how a person will react and respond, at all times. If everything was determined by the common human condition, by social and cultural categories, and by chance, it would be useless to reflect on ways to make one’s life excellent. Fortunately, there is enough room for personal initiative and choice to make a real difference. And those who believe this are the ones with the best chance to break free from the grip of fate. To live means to experience—through doing, feeling, thinking. Experience takes place in time, so time is the official scare resource we have. Over the years, the content of experience will determine the quality of life. Therefore, one of the most essential decisions any of us can make is about how one’s time is allocated or invested. There is no difference between Time and of the three dimensions of Space except that our consciousness moves along it. Of course, how we invest time is not our decision alone to make. Stringent constraints dictate what we should do either as members of the human race, or because we belong to a certain culture and society. Nevertheless, there is room for personal choices, and control over time is to a certain extent in our hands. Time is the mightiest mason of all. And a tutor, and a counselor, and a physician, and a scribe, and a poet, and a deacon, and a king. If you knew Time as well as I do, you would not talk about wasting it. It is him. [Ancient monuments] are gone. Time has lasted too long for them. For why? Time was made by the Lord, and they were made by man.

Even in the most oppressive decades of the Industrial Revolution, when workers slaved away for more than eighty hours a well in mines and factories, there were some who spent their precious free hours in literary pursuits or political action instead of following the majority to the pubs. When we are most acutely sensible of the shortness of life? When do we consult our watches in perpetual dread of the result? When does the night steal on us unawares, and the morning take us by surprise? When we are going on a journey. The terms we use in talking about time—budgeting, investing, allocating, wasting—are borrowed from the business and economic language. Consequently, some people claim that our attitude toward time is colored by our peculiar capitalist heritage. It is true that the maxim “Time is money” was a favourite of that great apologist of capitalism, Benjamin Franklin, but the equation of the two terms is certainly much older, and rooted in the common human experience, rather than in our culture alone.  In fact, it could be rationally stated that it is money that gets its value from time, rather than the other way around. Money is simply the most generally used counter for measuring the time invested in doing or making Something. And we value money because to a certain extent, it liberates us from the constraints of life by making it possible to have free time to do in it what we want. For each ecstatic instant we must an anguish pay in keen and quivering ratio to the ecstasy. For each beloved hour sharp pittances of years, bitter contested farthings and coffers heaped with tears.

Looking for Love All Summer

Forbidden fruit a flavor has that lawful orchard mock; Heaven is what I cannot reach! The apple on the tree, provided it do hopeless hang, that Heaven is, to me. The color on the cruising cloud, the interdicted ground behind the hill, the house behind, –there Paradise found! A Word is dead when it is said, I just beings to live that day. I can wade grief, whole pools of it, –I am used to that. However, the least push of joy breaks up my feet, and I tip—drunken. Let no faces smile, it was the new liquor, –that was all!  Power is only pain, stranded, through discipline, until weights hang. Give balm to giants, and they will wilt, like men. Give Himmaleh, –they will carry him! The cycles of rest, production, consumption, and interaction are as much part of how we experience life as our senses—vision, hearing, and so forth—are. Because the nervous system is so constructed that it can only process a small amount of information at any given moment, most of what we can experience must be serially, one thing after the other.

If we want to put our heart into it, we can usually only fully focus our full undivided attention on reading one paper at a time, listening to one song at a time, swallowing one bite, and having one conversation at a time. Thus the limitations of attention, which determines the amount of psychic energy we have for experiencing the World, provide an inflexible script for us to live by. Do not take revenge, my dear friends and family, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: It is mine to avenge; I will repay. Instead, if your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you have removed any curse from yourself and put it on them. Across time and in different cultures, what people do and for how long is astonishingly similar. Having just said that, in some important respects, all lives are similar, one must hasten to recognize the obvious differences. How a person lives usually depends in a large part on gender, age, and social position.  A boy of six or seven, born into a poor family in one of the industrial regions of England two hundred years ago, was likely to wake up around five in the morning, rush to the mills to service the clanking mechanical looms until midnight, six or seven days a week. Often he would die of exhaustion before reaching summer sixteen.

A girl of twelve in the silk-making regions of France around the same time would sit next to a tub all day, dipping silkworm cocoons in scalding water to melt the sticky substance that held the threads together. She was likely to succumb to respiratory diseases as she sat in wet clothes from dawn to dusk, and her fingertips eventually lost all feeling from hot water. In the meantime, the children of the nobility learned to dance the minuet and converse in foreign languages. The same differences in life-changes are still with us. What can a child born into an urban slum in Los Angeles, Detroit, Cairo Egypt, or Mexico City expect to experience during a lifetime? How is that going to differ from the expectations of a child born into an affluent American suburb, or a well-to-do Swedish or Swiss family?  Unfortunately, there is no justice, nor any rhyme nor reason, in one person being born into a starving community, perhaps even with a congenital physical defect, while another starts life with good looks, good health, and a large bank account. So while the main parameters of life are fixed, and no person can avoid resting, eating, interacting, and doing at least some work, humanity is divided into social categories that determine to a large extent the specific content of experience. And to make it all more interesting, there is, of course, the matter of individuality.

A Precious Spring Moment

A precious moment. The heart asks pleasure first, and then, excuse from pain; and then, those little anodynes that deaden suffering; and then, to go to sleep; and then, if it should be the will of its Inquisitor, the liberty to die. Much madness is the divinest sense to a discerning eye; much sense the starkest madness. This is the majority in this, as all, prevails. Assent, and you are sane; demur, –you are straightway dangerous, and handled with two chainz. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 6

I asked no other thing, no other was denied. I offered Being for it; the mighty merchant smiled. Brazil? He twirled a button, without a glace my way; “But, madam, is there nothing else that we can show to-day?” The soul selects her own society, then shuts the door’ on her divine majority obtrude no more. The show is not the show, but they that go. Menagerie to me my neighbor be. Fair play—both went to see.  Experiment to me is every one I meet. If it contain a kernel? The figure of a nut presents upon a tree, equally plausibly; but meat within is requisite, to squirrels and to me. Though I get home how late, how late! So I get home, it will compensate. Better will be the ecstasy that they have done expecting me, when, night descending, dumb and dark, they hear any my unexpected knock. Transporting must be the moment be, brewed from decades of agony! To think just how the fire will burn, just how long-cheated eyes will turn to wonder what myself will say, and what itself will say to me, beguiles the centuries of way! #RyanPhillippe 4 of 6

IMG_2rcbxy The brain within its groove runs evenly and true; but let a splinter swerve, it were easier for you to put the water back when floods have slit the hills, and scooped a turnpike for themselves, and blotted out the mills! The nearest dream recedes, unrealized. The Heaven we chase like the June bee before the school-boy  invites the race; stoops to an easy clover—dips—evades—teases—deploys; then to the royal clouds lifts his light pinnace heedless of the boy staring, bewildered, at the mocking sky. Homesick for steadfast honey, ah! The bee flies not that brews that rare variety. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 6

Why are you Such a Dictator with you Son’s?

Tell me, who is that teacher in your district who beats and kills the children? My son’s senses that they are different and unique. They have beautiful gold skin that seems to mirror the tones of the Sun. They have a sweet temperament made even more charming by their aura of resilience and happiness. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 11

Their hair ranges from blonde, red, brown, and black, depending on the light, and one has beautiful blue eyes, but the other has striking brown eyes that look gold in the Sunlight. However, the clash between them and the World is too big to go unnoticed. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 11

I do not let my son’s go anywhere and do not allow anyone around them because I am not sure that they will be able to cope with the ambiguity of your culture. One has been seriously injured, assaulted, and harassed and it seems to be an ongoing thing where the perpetrators are never confronted, never fired, nor arrested. He was assaulted serval times in the apartment building he lives in and was told, “You should be thankful that we allow you to live here. It is a shame that you are still alive, I will send someone to murder you and your father.” #RyanPhillippe 3 of 11

So I make my son’s stay home and read and write all day to make sure that they are safe and I can keep track of what they are doing. The boys do get sad from being alone so often, but this is the only way I can keep them safe for now. There seems to be so much superstition and misunderstanding surrounding them, as well as old myths. So we cannot delude ourselves in thinking they are safe in the general population, when their basic human rights and Constitutional rights are not protected. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 11

There is no hope in the past, and there is no solution to be found in the present. Nor will we be better by jumping off into an imaginary future. The only path to finding out what life is about is by being patent, slowly attempting to make sense of the realities of the past and the possibilities of the future as they can be understood in the present. This might seem a narrow perspective, but there is a wager on his head. We might lose everything by allowing him to go out. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 11

The actual quality of life—what we do, and how we feel about it—will be determined by our thoughts and emotions; by the interpretations we give to chemical, biological, and social processes. The questions you should ask is: What are their lives like? And the more practical question: How can they create an excellent life? One has to get a good grasp on the forces that shape what we are experiencing. Whether we like it or not, each of us is constrained by limits of what we can do and feel. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 11

To ignore our limits, in life, leads to denial and eventually failure. To achieve excellence, we must first understand the reality of the everyday, with all its myths, a person who wants to find happiness, love, or enteral life, has to travel through the netherworld. Openness to outside influences and the frequency of travel abroad has helped my boys understand that diversity can be painful initially, but it will pay off in time. #RyanPhillippe 7 of 11

Most immigrants occupy a marginal position in society. However, how we, as a family, deal with ambiguity serves are one of the founding elements of our culture. He has learned to speak other languages, and this seems to have a beneficial effect on his cognitive abilities. #RyanPhillippe 8 of 11

My research indicates that people who can speak more than one language typically outperform monolinguals on the ability to focus, the capacity to inhibit previously acquired information, and the ability to memorize information. However, translation of some ideas, words, and social ques can be difficult to decode. Some have to figure out what language to use and suppress the other. Having learned to process the World using more than one language has made him understand why I am such a dictator and he has grown more comfortable with my overbearing authority, and he likes the attention. #RyanPhillippe 9 of 11

Because my son’s spends their time searching for things in nature, other than people, to make themselves happy, they have a richer conceptual notion of education and love to read, they also love photography. They spends so much time thinking that I am sure the guys will find a way to move up in the ysgol. Officially, everything is more mysterious than we can imagine. So we have to discover new ways of looking at things. The idea is to be able to be really comfortable with contradictory ideas. My boys understand the arbitrary and hidden biases of life. #RyanPhillippe 10 of 11

When you have a wound, an imperfection—a wound inherent in the nature of life itself—one must attempt to either learn to live with the injury or to heal it. By constantly interacting with people who want to hurt them, that is counterproductive, so for now, they have to learn to deal with alienation and social displacement. So please do not judge me or make assumptions about how I run my household. Before being allowed to contemplate the splendors of Heaven, we had to wander through the horrors of Hell. Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands just as we told you. #RyanPhillippe 11 of 11

World without End

Life always was evermore shall be, World without end. All the power there is, is mine now. All the life, truth, and love of the Universe is now and forever flowing through my heart. The all good cannot change. I shall always have ace to the Eternal God within me. I am changeless life within me. Success is counted sweetest by those who never succeed. To comprehend nectar requires sorest need. Sentiment is that long shadow on the lawn indicative that sun goes down; the notice to the startled grass that darkness is about to pass. Merry is that morning of the intellectual activity because you are so great that a large and characteristic choice is still possible among your family, which has generated a volume of admirers, particularly because of your genius.  Not one of all baby blue host who took the flag to-day can tell the definition so clear, of victory, as he defeated, dying, on whose forbidden ear the distant strains of triumph break, agonized clear. It is little I could care for pearls, who own the ample sea; or emerald brooches, when the Emperor with rubies pelteth me; or gold, who am the Prince of Mines; or diamonds, when I see a diadem to fit a dome continual crowing me. I am nobody! Who are you? Are you nobody, too? Then there is a pair of us—do not tell! They would banish us, you know. How dreary to be somebody! How public, like a frog to tell your name the livelong day to an admiring bog! A thought went up my mind to-day that I have had before, but did not finish,–some way back, I could not fix the year, nor where it went, nor why it came. The second time to me, nor definitely what it was, have I the art to say. However, somewhere in my heart, I know I have met the thing before; it just reminded me it was all and came my way no more.

The choice is simple: between now and the inevitable end of our day, we can choose either to live or to die. Biological life is an automatic process, as long as we take care of the requirements of the body. However, to live in the sense of my life it is by no means something that will happen by itself. In fact everything conspires against it: if we do not take charge of its direction, out life will be controlled by the outside to serve the purpose of some other agency. Biologically programmed instincts will use it to replicate the genetic material we carry; the culture will make sure that we use it to propagate its values and institutions; and other people will try to take as much of our energy as possible to further their own agenda—all of this without regard to how any of this will affect us. We cannot expect anyone to help us live; we must discover how to do it by ourselves. So what does it mean to live? Obviously, it does not refer simply to biological survival. It must have meant to live in fullness, without waste of time and potential, expressing one’s uniqueness, yet participating intimately in the complexity of the cosmos. Many people believe that without you, the factory would close. Whenever there is a problem, everyone asks for your help. Throughout the years, I have met many CEOs of major companies, powerful politicians, and several dozen journalists—eminent people who in many ways led excellent lives, but none that was better than you. To ignore you is an act of childish conceit. However, it is equally naïve to believe that whatever was written down in the past contains an absolute truth that lasts forever. I am the light of the World. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. I am not really the type to let a person talk back to me, but I will let that slide.

The Love of God is within Me

Success is not measure by what you have accomplished, you have accomplished much, but still, success it is measure by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds. No matter how far away I am from you and how long before we meet again, I am always missing and blessing you in my heart. I have difficulties in forgetting your voice, your image, your tenderness and your kindness.  #RyanPhillippe 1 of 9

Let the time we spend together flow in our hearts like sun morning Sun does in the sky. Let us bury the sweet whisper of the past years in our deep hearts and turn to the beautiful future. Life can be like a sort of target—misfortune is always firing at it, and always hitting the mark, but the goal is to practice endurance and perseverance. Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the fastest lion, or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up, it knows that it must outrun the slowest gazelle, or it will starve to death. It does not matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle; when the Sun comes up, you had better be running after your dreams, goals, and visions. #RyanPhillppe 4 of 9

Self-trust is the finest secret of success. Success is not perfect; success is slightly above average. Cheerfulness depends as much on the state of things within, as without. The heart loves repose, the mind loves contemplation, but the body requires action. Pain of the mind is relieved by an abstraction of solid thought. All the Earth, though it is full of kind hears, is but a desolation and a desert place to live when you are absent. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 9

The Family—the Unit of Civilization

There are at least three tendencies which we may term biological, common to Man and the animals immediately below Man, which constitute for the family foundations we cannot conceive as being overthrown: (1) the impulse of sensual attraction which leads to mating; (2) the tendency to close comradeship, even apart from the gender of the comrade, with the herd or community; (3) the instinctive impulse of mates to care for their offspring. Yet it is true that new social factors, developed during the lifetime even of those of us still of young age, are causing a greater modification in the conventions of marriage and the home than we can easily find traces in of in our past history. The ever increasing approach to social and industrial equality of the genders, the steady rise and extension of the divorce movement, the changed conceptions of the morality of sensual relationships, the spread of contraception—all these influences are real, probably permanent, and they have never been found at work before in combination, seldom even separately. Not one of them, however, when examined with care, bares within it any necessary seeds of destruction. On the contrary, they are adapted to purify and fortify, rather than to weaken, the family as we know it, to enable it to work more vigorously and effectively rather than to impair its functions as what has been termed the unit of civilization. It is true that the younger women of to-day are often dissatisfied with marriage, but that attitude is a belated recognition that they are entitled to satisfaction, and we may accept it as wholesome. #RandolphHarris 1 of 4

The greater economic independence of women assists them in the task of sexual selection and is found to be conducive to marriage, though it is also favourable to divorce when marriage is disrupted. The greater facility of divorce assists the formation of the most satisfactory unions. A greater freedom between the genders before marriage, even if it has sometimes led to license, is not only itself beneficial but the proper method of preparing for a more intimate permanent union. And the exercise of contraceptive control is the indispensable method of selecting the best possibilities of offspring and excluding from the World those who ought never to be born.As a matter of fact, marriage, so far from dying out, tends in various countries to the West to increase in frequency. Even the Great War, which was expected to make marriage more difficult for women, had no such effect; thus in England, in 1921, out of every 1,000 women over fifteen years of age, 520 were married, though ten years earlier (1911) only 506 were married. While as regards the production of children through agency of the family, the danger that faces Western civilization to-day is not of a deficient production but of enormous excess. So that, whatever changes of form it may undergo, we clearly have to reckon with the persistence of the family, whether that is a prospect which causes our hearts to sink or whether it fills us with satisfaction. #RandolphHarris 2 of 4

We might reach the same conclusion even without any close examination of the sociological data of to-day. It is enough to survey the fundamental biological facts on which all human or other societies must rest, or to glance at the history of marriage and the family from the earliest period at which our knowledge begins. Not that that may be easy. We find many people doing it, with an air of greatest self-confidence, and reaching exactly opposite conclusions, or, at all events, conclusions that seem to themselves to be opposite. On the one hand are those who start from promiscuity and regard the clan and the mother (with perhaps her brother thrown in) as the most solid facts of the primitive situation. On the other had are those who, in extreme reaction from that view, put the biological fact in the foreground and are inclined to discount any modification of it by cultural influences, so that the human family continues from the point reached by the animal family, in father, mother, and offspring. #RandolphHarris 3 of 4

To-day it is perhaps possible to see that both these views have elements of truth, but that either of them is wrongly held if it is believed to exclude elements of the opposite view. That is the standpoint which I have myself for many years tried to indicate as probably the most correct, though I could not feel that I had the right to do so emphatically. Now I am more prepared to do so in the light of conclusions which have been reached by one who is perhaps, to-day, second to none as a profound investigator of these problems and an intimate student of the sensual-life of savages as it present is carried on. Dr. Phillippe sees the elements of soundness and truth in each of the two hitherto rival doctrines, which have flourished side by side during the last century, and, except when they are contradictory. They both present aspects of the big procreative institution of mankind; biological or animal marriage is the core but it is capable of more or transformation into culturally socialized forms. What mainly concerns us here to observe is that, whatever view of the family we adopt, we are still constrained to admit that, under all changes of form, it has always persisted, so that its existence may even be said to be woven into the texture of the species. #RandolphHarris 4 of 4

Love and Uplift the Family

Deliverance from sin a much greater blessing than deliverance from affliction, in the feelings of the heart there can be no dissimulation, there is a limit to the length of the inspection which a man can endure under certain circumstances. Decrepit families imply decrepit wills, rickety conduct. The decay of the family has long been a favourite theme of social alarmists. Looking back on the conventions which in their own early days were held to be sacred, whether or not they were actually observed, elderly people exclaim on the bankruptcy of those marriage conventions to-day and the consequent dissolution of the home life. In a sense they are completely justified. The conventions they were brought up in are really changing; marriage is not the same thing as it was in their early days; the new home is certainly different from the antiquated one. It is true. It has, indeed, been more or less true ever since social life began. Yet, under all modifications, there has always been some form of marriage, and the home in some shape has still persisted. It is, therefore, only the shallow and ignorant who can mistake the changes that take place in their own little day and environment for the obliteration of great landmarks—that is, when we have put aside those well-meaning people who like to play with the idea of the bankruptcy of marriage in order to startle their fellows into a more lively concern with social problems.

As a matter of fact, it is necessary to take a wide view of human history, such as may be gained from the History of Human Marriage—The Family—I purposely choose two works widely opposed in their temper and conclusions—in order to realize that the family and the home, even under the most divergent social conditions that we can well conceive to be possible for Man, have still persisted.  We may go further still. It I not only a truth for the human species that marriage is omnipresent; it is also found among the higher mammals. This is not only so, as far as our imperfect knowledge extends, among the closely related anthropoid apes; it is so among the superior quadrupeds; the elephants lead a conventional life of the type familiar among ourselves, of which, with its related education of the young, adventurous camera hunters are now revealing the details; while among birds, who are phylogenetically so remote from ourselves, the resemblances are often still closer. It is vain for even the most conservative of human beings to lament the failure of marriage; it is futile for even the most light-hearted of radicals to hope to get beyond it. The family is at the root of our bisexual constitution and requires no formal institution. The abolition of marriage in the form now practiced will be attended with no evils. It really happens in this, as in other cases, that the beneficial laws which are made to restrain our vices irritate and multiply them. It is more than a century since those wise words were spoken. However, the greater pioneer who uttered them exerted no influence on legislation, and there has now been time for it to be illustrated by thousands of prohibition laws against all sorts of real or imaginary voices.

Stop Running for Love and Learn to Love

csvdbg

My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the LORD reproves him who he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. The question of discipline, which comes in here, cannot be passed over, for it is the essence of the whole matter. At first sight it might seem that the attitude of the new parent towards their child deprives it of discipline. Parents allow it the utmost amount of freedom compatible with other claims.

vbcb

The parents treat it as an equal rather than as an inferior, apparently extending to child(ren)the same kind of equality which has only of recent years been accorded to women themselves. When that means indulgence, with an artificial protection against the natural results of indulgence, it may well be unfavourable to any sort of discipline for life. The Garden of Eden is a poor preparation for toiling in the sweat of one’s brow.

h2

However, it is necessary to point out that the antiquated system, now decaying, was in its extreme form still more ill-adapted as a disciplinary preparation for life. A famous author of the nineteenth century, Ruskin, wrote an autobiography, called Prceterita, which deserves to live when his books on art are forgotten; in this he tells how he was brought up in his very Victorian middle-class home by loving parents who shielded him from every harm and allowed him absolutely no freedom of action.

Looking back on this training in antiquated age, he realized how sadly it unfitted him for the discipline of life and became the direct cause of misfortune when he was cut loose from his parent’s apron-strings. If the new parents leave a large scope for freedom to their child, and encourages him to act for himself instead of acting for him, he may have to suffer for his action, but he is learning responsibility and is being trained in the home for the discipline of the World.

It is not to be assumed that the parent of the Victorian days was entirely wrong and the new parents of to-day entirely right. The task is difficult for any kind of parent, and the one may fail as well as the other. Parenthood is an art, a rarer art than is commonly supposed, and while every person has sometimes wanted to be a parent, the may well think twice before one decides that one is fitted to become one, for one may be unfitted spiritually even if one is physically fitted.

The antiquated parents were capable of producing splendid child(ren); where the material was good, their methods were brilliantly successful; but parental failures were many, and when the child was of poor material it remained undeveloped or deviated in morbid directions, becoming the victim of parental fixation, a suitable patient for the psychoanalysts who flourish on their failures of antiquated—World training.

Whether for good or for evil, however, we cannot carry over the methods of the past into the present. Every age must deal with its own problems in its own way. The new generation demands the new parents. How finely successful they can prove—especially when parents are inspired by a happy love-life—some of us are already able to testify.

Thanks for picking it up from the Cleaners, is that Mine?

The Coronation of the Virgin is symmetrically balanced. This account of Christ is the focal point of the Bible’s entire story. The key struggle with God’s enemy, the serious attempts to correct what has gone wrong at the very heart of things, comes to a head in the life of Christ. He is the one and only hero of the story. If the key victory has already been secured, why is there an Act V? God wants the victory of Christ to spread to all the nations of the World. Those who follow Jesus Christ are being built into God’s new temple, the place where God’s spirit lives. God is gathering these people from all around the World and forming them into his mansion. When this is complete, Christ will return and the reign of God will become a reality throughout God’s creation (1 Corinthians 15:24-25). The curse imposed during Act II will be removed (Revelation 22:3). However, the troubles of the new parents do not end there. They have to soon realize that new parents are at present a small minority, scattered through the community and unorganized, although there is a remarkable similarity in their methods. They are surrounded by the antiquated parents bring up archaic sort of child(ren) and still feeling that they have on their side the primitive herd instinct which encourages intolerance of novelty. Now, before we go forward, I should explain that in Mandarin Chinese the word for person of individual is “Ren.” So we call kids child(ren), which tells you they are young individuals, who have rights, but also require greater protections, as they are not of the age to consent.

The mind of child(ren) is not completely developed, nor or their bodies, and that is why they are not support to Netflix and Chill, they are not fully grown, and you could damage their minds and bodies by taking advantage of them, which might ruin them for life. New parents had familiarized their little daughter, of six, with the elementary facts of Netflix and Chill, and the origin of babies. It was a discussion that was Rated G: General audiences—all ages admitted. It was a discussion that was suitable to be shared with child(ren): having no violence, offensive language, nor any explicit adult activity. However, one day, the child, having received a different statement from other insider sources, came questioningly to her mother: “Babies come out of eggs!” Her mother gently explained that there are people who think that children are not old enough to understand the truth about these things and so make up stories to tell them. The little maiden drew herself up and said: “I will never believe anything, but what you tell me.” In such a way, a beautiful relation of intimacy and trust is established for the enlightenment and development of the child, and the tainted influences of the external World are sterilized beforehand.

It should, however, be clear to parents at the outset that they have to reckon with this external World and to guard themselves and their child against it, though this should not be done before an actual clash has occurred, and only then to meet the case in hand. Undue haste in forewarning the child might be as harmful as was the deliberate attempt to thrust upon him Netflix and Chill revelations he had not asked for. It would prematurely destroy the child’s spontaneity. The new parents have no wish to protect the child unduly and rob him of initiative.  If parents hold the child’s friendship, they know no fear and go joyfully ahead, extending to the external World the same trust as at first does the child, though parents guidance is often based on merely a smiling tolerance. Parents know that if any clash occurs between the World and the child, he will come to them, and they will then effect the necessary adaptations to the World for the protection of the child.  In thus encouraging self-reliance, and not unduly sheltering him beforehand, the new parents find no great harm resulting from any clash, since they are always the friend to whom the problem is brought for solution, and any germs or secrecy and distrust, such as the child may naturally possess as part of his human inheritance, the parents have an opportunity of training in the right direction, tempering them with their own tolerance.

At puberty the new parents will still find further problems to face, not now from without, but from within their children. For at puberty the developing impulses from within bring to the child’s consciousness elements which are strange to itself and seem to demand as their natural right a secrecy which, where the earlier questionings were concerned, was, if it existed, imposed rather than natural. It is no longer easy, it may no longer be natural, for the pubescent boy or girl to confide completely even in the new parents.  So that parents may sometimes be doubtful at this stage as to what is going on within the rapidly growing organism, and what problems it may be secretly facing. However, even here the new parents contain themselves in patience. If they have so far guided their children wisely, no great harm is likely to ensue. The developing son or daughter, when secrecy no longer seems important, or when it becomes unendurable, will most naturally turn to its parents if it is assured that their guidance in the past has been sound. And even if they do not, the antiquated guidance will still have left its traces. If the developed child is not training himself, the sound tradition he has known will still remain with him. And if in this evolution a new instinct of reserve appears—as it most probably will appear—in the adolescent mind, the new parents will recognize that that is not really a turning away from themselves, but a necessary accident of the development of individuality, and by that recognition they will the more deeply win the love and gratitude, as well as the confidence, of their child. We have always to remember that an education which is not a discipline, and a self-discipline, can scarcely be considered a preparation for life.
