Our attitudes are supposed to revere life. We are to have love and reverence for the beings, and treat them as beings and not as commodities. Human spirits can hear their silent cry, and the soul is awakening the soul, which has the deepest love for its nourisher, the Earth. Healing is purification. By purifying ourselves, purification of our environment and of the ecology of Earth inevitably follows suit. If only we knew what absolutely stunning healing power we have as single individuals, we would not hesitate one second in wanting to change our ways from fear to love, from absurdity to sanity, not to mention the sense of purpose which such choice brings with it in its trail. Humanity is aching and the Earth is crying out in pain. Both need us and our cooperation. Both are craving for our live. Please, believe that we can make a difference by healing the attitude which generates hate, anger, greed, jealousy and narcissism. The will to heal has to come from within humanity itself—only then can we expect to be assisted in our efforts. By blaming our fellow living beings for things that have happened in the past, we do not heal. We do know that some of our behavior is caused by factors that are part of our physical existence. However, much more study will be needed before we understand fully what these inborn motives are, and we must also look for other causes that may not be inherited. #RandolphHarris 1 of 7

Physiological psychologists have greatly influenced today’s theories of motivation. Chief among their contributions is an idea often called Drive Reduction Theory. This is not the only way to look at what makes people behave as they do, but it does answer many questions. According to this theory, all motivation begins with a need that must be satisfied. In its simplest form, a need is a lack, a depletion, something missing. (When I have not eaten, the cells of my body experience a need for nourishment to energize them or to provide building blocks for repair or replacement.) A signal is relayed along the nervous system and bloodstream to the brain, and we experience a tension-force called a drive. This activates the entire body and changes the person’s consciousness. In the same sense, each soul is given the chance to choose between war or peace, competition or cooperation, healing or attack, fear or love. Much like the with central nervous system in the body when it experiences a need for nourishment, with each choice for cooperation and love the collective frequency of the Global Thoughtform is pulsating at a faster rate and therefore aligning with the Universal intent. To lose heart by wondering how the World could possible ever rise beyond the Global Thoughtform, and awaken to the truth, would indicate another doubt we place on life. “Behold, I speak with boldness, having authority from God; and I fear not what people can do; for perfect love casts out all fear,” reports Moroni 8.16. #RandolphHarris 2 of 7

Belief in God allows the miracle in. True perception is the condition for the miracle. “For we know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity,” reports Moroni 8.18. True perception is infinitely more powerful than a mind still in illusions. With each awakening soul an impetus of such power is added to the momentum of the awakening of the whole of humankind, that its effects literally ripple to the farthest corners of the Universe. Reconciliation is the Law of Compensation. Each movement or action of life reconciles with its opposite reflection. The result of this is True perception, a consciousness which knows nothing of conflict, for here energies are unified and can flow harmoniously again. Where energies can flow unencumbered, fixation does not exist. A fixation is an abnormal attachment to some person, object, or level of development. Once a normal person’s needs are satisfied on a regular basis, one will become bored, no longer interested in staying at that level. There is a growth force in each of us that pushes us to reach for higher levels of motivation. “When people speak by power of the Holy Ghost, power of the Holy Ghost carries it unto hearts,” reports 2 Nephi 33.1. Faith is an inner conviction of being overwhelmed by God. He brought light out of darkness, not out of a lesser light, and God can bring our Summer out of Winter, though we have no Spring. Though in the ways of fortune, understanding, or conscience we have been benighted until now, wintered and frozen, clouded and eclipsed, damped and benumbed, smothered and dazed, now God comes to us, not as the dawning of the day, not as the bud of the Spring, but as the Sun at noon. “In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him,” reports Proverbs 21.1. In our concern with the creations of the mind, we must not forget mind’s creative forgetfulness. For both inattention and forgetting often serve a most valuable function, allowing us to focus on what we feel is important to us without cluttering up our minds with the irrelevant. The entire material plane is one gigantic mirror reflecting our consciousness. We seek happiness in conditions, oblivious to the fact that such a condition is only the result—the manifestation—the reflection of a happy mind. Happiness cannot possibly be found on the level of effects, but a happy mind shall always manifest its own on the outer. If we stood before a mirror making a grimace and felt displeasure at the face looking at us, the intelligent thing to do would be to smile at the face and we would receive a smile in return. #RandolphHarris 4 of 7

To cut through illusions, we have to get disillusioned—the more thoroughly the better—so long as we do so at a pace that allows for proper digestion of the shifts we are making. Disillusionment is commonly taken to mean a kind of disappointment, a sense of being let down, but the very structure of the word speaks of something much more fundamental: being freed from illusion. This, of course, might sometimes feel far from pleasant, hence the darker connotations of disillusionment. A crucial challenge is to stop treating disillusionment as a problem or something negative, and use it as an awakening force. To be disillusioned is to see through illusion, in conjunction with releasing its hold on us. We thus become disenchanted, no longer spellbound by our conditioning. And far more able to skillfully approach our edge. As such, disillusionment is a kind of sobriety, a catalyst for waking up, a great opportunity. “Behold, he changed their hearts; he awakened them out of a deep sleep, and they awoke unto God. Behold, they were in the midst of darkness; nevertheless, their souls were illuminated by the light of the everlasting word,” reports Alma 5.7. When we believe, God will see to it that it is taken care of. When we believe, we have the Creator of the Universe fighting our battles, arranging things in our favor, going before us, moving the wrong people out of the way. #RandolphHarris 5 of 7

The surpassing greatness of God’s power is at work in our lives. Now some of our ideas, namely, ideas of imagination, we ourselves produce, but others, the ideas of sense, come to us without our willing them. There is therefore some other will or spirit that produces them. That is God ay be concluded from the regular order in which these ideas come to us. The knowledge we have of God is analogous to the know we have of other people. Since people are active spirits, we do not have ideas of them, but only of their expressions, words, and bodily movements. Though these we recognize them as possessors of minds and wills like those we know ourselves to have. Similarly, God reveals himself to us in the order of nature: every thing we see, hear, feel, or in any wise perceive by sense, being a sign or effect of the Power of God. There are active spirits on the one hand and passive ideas on the other. The latter could not exist apart from the former, but the ideas in the minds of human beings are caused in them by God and sustained by the lord when they are not perceiving them. However, God is impassible—not subjected to feeling or emotion; hence he cannot be supposed to perceive ideas of this nation. If God exists and I believe and act accordingly, I can inherit eternal life. Revelation is communication from God to humans. It can occur in many different ways. Some prophets, like Moses, have talked to God in person. Some persons have had personal communications with angels. Search your own experience. We have already received revelations, and we can receive more revelations because communication from God to people is a reality. The grand privilege of everyone who has faith in God is the manifestation of the spirit every day in our lives. God’s grace is as real as the air we breathe. It surrounds us always, but few of us consistently take notice of its presence. However, when we learn how to see it and experience if for ourselves, our inner life can go from a subdued grey to one of vibrant colour. Grace has an enabling power. And it has to everything to with us. It is evidence of divine love and is founded in the love of two beings who want more than anything for us to succeed. It is a power that helps us accomplish what we cannot do on our own and one that helps us overcome our personal weaknesses. “My grace is sufficient for all people that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them,” reports Ether 12.27.
