There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in philosophy. Calculations made by Sir Isaac Newton seemed to show that there were irregularities in the movements of the planets which would require the direct intervention of God to set them right. However, later on it was proved by mathematician Pierre Simon de Laplace that every last detail could be accounted for by gravitational attraction. That gravitational attraction could be God’s way of providing this direct intervention. Things could not have been produced by God in any other manner or order than that in which they were produced. All things must have followed of necessity of the divine nature. God is a bright and very subtle substance. God’s infinity makes him free and this accounts for his transcendence and creative power. Eternity signifies an everlasting, endless time. God moves the planets. This view was held by Aristotle. God moves the planets in the sense that he educes form from its material structure by inspiring it, through a series of subordinate movers or intelligences, to love hi as its end goal. The World and other planets may be regarded as in some way an emanation from, or self-expression of, God. God is beyond all thought and being. In debates, some people profess that God, the Creator, played a part in the beginning. However, if he was responsible for bringing the Universe into being, he had long since ceased to take an active interest in its progress. He originally chose a few simple and beautiful Laws of Nature. God filled the void with matter, and had seen that it was good, but then he left his creation to its own devices. In contrast, some believe that God does still continue to watch over developments with Fatherly concern. God knows all of the atoms of the Universe and the laws and knows in one sweeping glace what will happen for all of eternity. And this is why we covenants with the Lord. A covenant is a binding and solemn legal agreement entered into by at least two individuals. It requires that all parties involved abide the conditions of the compact in order to make it effective and binding. These covenants we made with God give us will freedom to obey his commandments and it allows God’s super-intelligence to bless us. Sometimes God may even decide to suspend the Laws of Nature, or arrange for supernatural miracles to happen to save us or protect us. God has sent his everlasting covenant into the World, and it is to be a standard to his people, and for the population to seek it, and to be a messenger before his face to prepare the way for him. We are to be peacemakers for God, and show people the love of God. The covenant of God is here in its fullness with all its powers as a guide, a standard for us and all people who heed its. In the United States of America (the country to which those scholars of the Enlightenment looked before all for the revolution in ideology that would mark the escape from religious superstition) census data  shows that 95 percent of the population still believe in an active God, 88 percent in a human soul, and 71 percent in the survival of the soul after bodily death. In Europe, 75 percent believe in God, 61 percent in a soul, and 43 percent in survival after death. It is also found that in the developed World, about 49.5 percent of the population still attest to the reality of such phenomena as telepathy, precognition, interaction with spirits of the dead, reincarnation and the paranormal effects of prayer. Just as any father would direct (or even restrict) his children if it would be a blessing to the children, so our Father in Heaven gives us commandments, laws, and covenants, not for the sole purpose of restricting us or burdening us, but rather that we may, through obedience to correct principles, find peace and success. Actually, we do not have to do what the Lord commands us, but we cannot obtain the rewards and blessings he has promised unless we do. “For all who will have a blessing at my hands shall abide the law which was appointed for that blessing, and the conditions thereof, as were instituted from before the foundation of the World,” reports D&C 132.5. These commandments and covenants are not grievous; they are not burdensome. On the contrary, they are enlightening, uplifting, assuring, and helpful. They are instruments of voluntary action on our part that help us to concentrate our efforts to accomplish the purpose of life and to reach our ultimate goal. God the Father is made up of forces of nonhuman nature. God the Holy Ghost symbolizes the ideals toward which human beings at their best are striving. God the Son personifies human nature as it actually exists, bridging the gulf between the other two channeling natural forces into the pursuit of ideals. Etymologically, precognition is simply the Latin equivalent of foreknowledge. However, it has come to have a more specialized meaning as a semitechnical term for one of the phenomena or putative phenomena of parapsychology (psychical research). Precognition is one of a group of terms that also includes telepathy, clairvoyance, and—more peripherally—psychokinesis (PK). People in the town of Reading, England were questioned about precognition. 63 percent of the people surveyed believed it is possible to know what someone else is thinking or feeling even if they are out of touch by ordinary means. 71 percent believe that dreams can foretell the future. 71 percent also believe that prayers will sometimes be answered. 66 percent of people believe it is possible to make someone turn around just by looking at them. 54 percent believe that some people can remember past lives that they lived in other bodies. 69 percent of people believe that some houses are haunted by ghosts’. And 88 percent believe in some form of paranormal activity is likely. Some might interpret this as a reflection of a suppressed hankering after the ancient supernatural deity.  The celebration of the paranormal has long been woven into the fabric of Western Culture. A professor of psychiatry, John Mack, who works at Harvard University does not seem to believe humans are God’s final and ultimate creation. He believes that we are dealing with an interspecies breeding program that has invaded our physical reality, and is affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and perhaps in some way the entire planet. Paranormal happenings were also a theme from Mozart’s Magic Flute, which is a story of humankind progressing from chaos to make the Earth a Heavenly Kingdom, and mortals like the gods. That same theme is recounted in Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned, as Akasha, a 5,000 year old vampire plans to turn humans into independent beings by allowing them to live forever, and feeding on those who oppose her will. Out most impressive buildings like Stonehenge, Hearst Castle, Hearst Tower, Winchester Mansion, Chartres Cathedral and Disney World are monuments to paranormal ambitions and paranormal imagery. The police are rumored to already employ a psychic detective. Crowds gather beneath an Irish concrete statue of the Virgin Mary to see it rock its head. The British road authority ban the number 666 from license plates, but in China 666 is seen as a lucky number and is widely used on billboards and in phone numbers. NASA at one time financed a costly research program to explore the possibility of controlling spaceships by distant mind-power. The Princess of Wales consults a specialist in pyramid power. The prince of Wales attempts to contact his uncle through table turning. A major mining company employs Uri Geller to dowse over a map of Malaysia for cooper deposits. One consequence which has often been thought to follow from the existence of precognition is that, sensationally, the future must somehow be already here—or at any rate there. This is usually derived from a conception of precognition as a mode of perception, of extrasensory perception. The Universe is a system of law and order plus the Infinite Presence or Person and, from the standpoint of the human being, personalities.
