Tell me, Milk Cow, what On Earth is Wrong with You?

Love is all we have to give, but it is the only thing which God permits us to carry beyond the grave. God’s primary motive in the salvation of the lost is the satisfying of His own love. The truth is that the salvation of humans affords an opportunity for God to gratify His infinite love for His creatures. The very fact is that we are destined to become so completely conformed to the image of God. God dwells deepest within, the sacred divine, where darkness is overshadowed by brilliant light. No human light has ever penetrated and no unassisted eye have ever pierced the secret place of the Most High, the dwelling place of God. This spirit lies beyond human’s self-consciousness and above their sensibility. Here people unite and commune with God. The soul resembles the Holy Place for it is amply enlightened with many rational thoughts and precepts, much knowledge and understanding the things in the ideational and material World. We can recognize the perfect harmony, which exists between the temple and humans in respect to both order and value. #RandolphHarris 1 of 11

We cannot love just where other folks would have us. There is nobody, but God who can control the human heart. Love have a way of cheating itself consciously, like a child who play at solitary and hide-and-seek; it is pleased with assurance that it all the while disbelieves. It is in our spirit that we have meaning and purpose in life. At the deepest level our spirt enables us to love one another, our self and God. It is through our spirit that we have communion and fellowship with God. Our spirit gives us intuition between right and wrong. Our spiritual healthy will have a signification impact on our emotional health which will have a major influence on our physical health. The inter-connection between the spirit, the soul and the body certainly a complex connection. I pray that you may prosper in all thing and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Loved does not aim simply at the conscious good of the beloved object: it is not satisfied without perfect loyalty of heart; it aims at its own completeness. #RandolphHarris 2 of 11

A strong faith can help us to cope with the stress that we experience in our life and enable the impact of that stress to be less significant. Logic should be simple, and should be based on personal experience. Its goal should be not only the demonstration, but also the discovery of truth. Our beliefs and attitudes, determined in large degree by our faith, will play a major role in our thinking patterns. Our daily thinking will have an impact on our emotions and feelings, and our emotions will have a major impact on our feelings. Social motives are acquired in complex ways through socialization and cultural conditioning. The behavior of outstanding artist, scientists, athletes, educators, musicians, and leaders is best understood in terms of such learned needs—particularly the need for achievement. To many people, being motivated means being interested in achievement. The need for achievement (nAch) can be defined as a desire to meet some internalized standard of excellence. The person with high needs for achievement strives to do well in any situation in which evaluation takes place. #RandolphHarris 3 of 11

Power is not necessarily part of the need of achievement. Our spiritual heart as well as our physical heart is a huge part of being healthy. Needs for achievement may lead to wealth and prestige, but a person who is a high achiever in art, music, journalism, acting, or amateur athletics may strive for excellence without seeking riches. The need for achievement differs from a need for power, which is a desire to have impact or control over others. People with strong needs for power want their importance to be visible: They buy expensive possessions, wear prestigious clothes, and exploit relationships. In some ways, the pursuit of power and wealth is the dark side of the American dream. People whose main goal in life is to make a lot of money tend to be poorly adjusted and unhappy. God’s power, just as light, is projected by the Sun in all directions. When we have said all that we can, the secret mysteries of a new nature and divine life can never be sufficiently expressed. What can be done about worries and self-defeating thinking patterns? #RandolphHarris 4 of 11

Language and words cannot always reach everyone; nor can they be truly understood, but by those souls that are enkindled within, and awakened unto the sense and relish of spiritual things: There is a spirit in humans; and the inspiration of the Almighty give this understanding. The power and life of religion may be better expressed in actions than in words; because actions are more lively things, and do better represent the inward principle whence they proceed; and, therefore, we may take the best measure of those gracious endowments from the deportment of those in whom they reside; especially are they are perfectly exemplified in the holy life of our blessed Saviour, a main part of whose business in this World was to teach, by his practice, what he did require of others,–and to make his own conversation an exact resemblance of those unparalleled rules which he prescribed; so that if ever true goodness was visible to mortal eyes, it was then, when his presence did beautify and illustrate this lower World. Christian ethics must be based on rational love. Love, in its different forms, is the basic impulse of humans. The will is independent of reason and is the origin of evil. #RandolphHarris 5 of 11

Virtue and truth can only be reached though God’s grace, human beings, through faith can make great use of freedom and goodness in the natural light. Sincere and devout affection wherewith our Saviour did constantly burn towards his Heavenly father, and expressed itself in an entire resignation to his will; it was his very meat to do the will, and finish the work of God that sent him. The World, both spiritual and material, is animated by a spirit created by God. Truth can be found only in the Bible as made clear by divine illumination. Christ endured the sharpest afflictions and extremist miseries that ever were inflicted on any mortal, without repining thought, or discontented word: for through he was far from stupid insensibility, or a fantastic stoical obstinacy, and had as quick a sense of pain as other people, and the deepest apprehension of what he was to suffer in his soul, (as his bloody sweat, and the sore amazement and sorrow which he professed, do abundantly declare,) yet did he entirely submit to that severe disposition of providence, and willingly acquiesced in it. #RandolphHarris 6 of 11

Christ did acknowledge the anguish of his spirit, “Now is my soul troubled and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. However, for this cause came I into the World. Father, glorify my name.” Jesus Christ knew all along what he was to suffer, and did most resolutely undergo it; but it shows us the inconceivable weight and pressure that he was to bear, which, being so afflicting, and contrary to nature, he could not think of without terror; yet considering the will of God, and the glory which was to redound from him thence, he was not only content, but desirous to suffer it. Another instance of his love to God was his delight in conversing with him by prayer, which made him frequently retire himself from the World, and, with the greatest devotion and pleasure, spend whole nights in that Heavenly exercise, though he had not sins to confess, and but few secular interest to pray for; which, alas! are almost the only things that are wont to drive us to our devotion. We may say Christ’s whole life was a kind of prayer; a constant course of communion with God: if the sacrifice was not always offering, yet was the fire still kept alive. #RandolphHarris 7 of 11

Christ also was never blessed with surprised dullness, or tepidity of spirit, which we must many times wrestle with before we can be fit for the exercise of devotion. However, human beings are a single substance composed of body and soul; their knowledge begins from experience of the material World, and their understanding is developed through reason; their free activity determines their personal and eternal destiny. All humans by nature are in the same miserable shape. All demand to love long and happily, that is, cheerfully, well-off, and honored. In spite of this, every thought and desire they have had since their youth leads them to do things that make their lives unhappy, wretched, or both. Thus, the natural end of life is cut short. Human beings become the agent of their own misfortune. Few recognize this misery. Even fewer use their knowledge of this misery to seek the reasonable means of saving themselves from it. Fewest of all, however, when investigating these means, take the necessary care or muster up the strength to grasp those means. #RandolphHarris 8 of 11

Everywhere it is not the Creator but human beings themselves who is thus to blame, despite the fact that God has bestowed upon them and presented them with partly natural, and partly supernatural teachings, means, and powers. It lies thus in human’s obstinacy and negligence if one neither recognizes nor utilizes such teachings and means, nor wants to accept those offered, but rejects them willfully and pushes them away with their feet, so to speak. This misfortune can be ascribed among other causes, to the fact the human beings confuse the natural and supernatural lights, reason and divine revelation, thereby bringing disorder to all knowledge. As a result, human beings regard true teachings as errors and passes off errors for truths. One attempts to assert them by force. In doing so, one misses the right path, and while intending to help, seduces others, plunging them and oneself into misery. Thus, sincere lovers of truth have always recognized that the light of reason and divine revelation, as well as nature and grace, should be clearly distinguished. #RandolphHarris 9 of 11

The greatest spiritual blessing we receive is when we come to the knowledge that we are destitute. Until we get there, our Lord is powerless. He can do nothing for us as long as we think we are sufficient in and of ourselves. We must enter into God’s kingdom through the door of destitution. As long as we are too proud or independent, God can do nothing for us. Truth is simple. There is thus no great need to rack one’s brains or for quarreling if one seeks truth in the simplest way. The light of reason and divine revelation are expressed by intellect, nature, and grace, but also by the will. Often, both are generally understood in such a way that the light of reason is needed for the natural powers and grace for supernatural knowledge. In this broad sense, we are able to grasp the difference between natural and supernatural lights most clearly. The natural light shows us means and ways by which we can get out of misery using our natural powers and without any special supernatural grace, so that we can place ourselves in a happy state as far as temporal life is concerned. #RandolphHarris 10 of 11

The supernatural or immediate divine light, however, is concerned with the eternal happiness which humans lost by the Fall. Thus, it first teaches the condition of humans after their loss of innocence and how one ended up in temporal and eternal misery through the Fall of man. It shows how after this temporal life there will be a different life and resurrection of the dead. It also shows what difference there is between the state of the eternally blissful or chosen and the state of the hapless or damned. It shows the means determined by God for attaining eternal bliss and avoiding eternal damnation. It also teaches whence come the supernatural powers needed to apply these means, and how humans must behave in regard to them. Our God has changes in your future that will thrust your beyond obstacles of deficiency motives (lack of food, water, security, love, esteem, and other basic needs) and into the extraordinary life-enhancing force for personal growth. #RandolphHarris 11 of 11
