A Building like Ours would Cost Over $3 Billion to Construct

Who can part, forever; only when we come so close that nothing separates us can we meet again, only when what binds us is not my need of you or your need of me nor any chance circumstance, but a deep ingrained likeness of nature that cannot pass away. The face is but a reflecting surface of the soul. Natural law is a rational participation in the eternal law of God and suggests that all people have a sufficient knowledge of what is morally right (the justum) to be able to regulate their own actions. You cannot expect the constituted authorities to inquire into the state of a person’s soul—or is it only one’s liver? The judgment of synderesis (an intellectual quality enabling any person to intuit the first principle of practical reasoning) is simply the proposition “Good should be done and sought after; evil is to be avoided.” Human’s substantial nature is toward the conversation of its own existence and physical well-being, that of human’s animal nature to seek such biological goods as the sexual reproduction and the care of offspring, and that of human’s reason whereby one tends toward universal goods, such as consideration of the interests of other persons and the avoidance of ignorance. #RandolphHarris 1 of 10

I cannot repeat an emotion. No one can, except sentimentalists. Every calamity severs a strong from the heart, until one scene of sorrow on the back of another matures us for eternity. Is there stagnation in your spiritual life? Get into God’s presence and find out the reason for it. You will possibly find it is because you have been interfering in the life of another—advising when you had not right to advise. When you do have to give advice to another person, God will advise through you with the direct understanding of His spirit.  All inclinations are presented as natural and good, provided they are reasonably pursued. They form the bases from which one may conclude to a number of rules of natural moral law. Law in general is any ordinance of reason that is promulgated for the common good by one who has charge of a community. Reason is the key word in this definition. Right reason (recta ratio) is the justification of ethical judgment of thought. In the case of volitional activities, the proximate standard is human reason (regula proxima est ratio humana) but the supreme standard is the eternal law. #RandolphHarris 2 of 10

Therefore, whenever a human’s action proceeds to its end in accord with the order of reason and of eternal law, then the act is right; but when it is twisted away from this rightness, then it is called sin. It is a very great thing to obey, to live under a superior and not to be one’s own master, for it is much safer to be subject than it is to command. Many live-in obedience more from necessity than from love. Such become discontented and dejected on the slightest pretext; they will never gain peace of mind unless they subject themselves wholeheartedly for the love of God. Go where you may, you will find no rest except in humble obedience to the rule of authority. Dreams of happiness expected from change and different places have deceived many. Everyone, it is true, wishes to do as one pleases and is attracted to those who agree with them. However, if God be among us, we must at times give up our opinions for the blessings of peace. Furthermore, who is so wise that one can have full knowledge of everything? We tend to set up success in Christian work as our purpose, but our purpose should be to display the glory of God. #RandolphHarris 3 of 10

God has made nothing in vain. God’s first creation was light. Ethics requires a person to govern one’s actions as reasonably as one can, keeping in mind the kind of agent that one is and the position that one occupies in the total scheme of reality. Human’s own good is achieved by the governance of one’s actions and feelings under rational reflection—and God does not require anything else. For we do not offend God, except by doing something contrary to our own good. It is a part of being reasonable to respect the good of others. The moral good, then, is not so much what people are obligated to do by an all-powerful legislator; rather, it is that which is in accord with the reasonable perfecting of human. In becoming a better agent within oneself, human is making oneself more fit for the ultimate happiness and for the vision of God. This kind of ethics resembles a self-perfectionist theory, without the idealist overtones. Because you honor God, He will do in a fraction of the time what should have taken you a lifetime to accomplish. You are about to see the favor of God profusely abound in your life. #RandolphHarris 4 of 10

Holy and delightsome is the Earth. God saw that everything he had made was very good. All things have specific natures which do not change: dogs are dogs, stones are stones. Certain functions are taken as natural and appropriate to given natures: eating is an act expected of a dog, but not of a stone. Human nature shares certain functions with the higher brutes but is distinguished by the performance of rational activities. Some of these typical functions are always the same in relation to human’s nature and ethical rules pertaining to these do not change. An example of such an immutable rule of justice is simply “Theft is unjust.” Other ethical judgments, however, are not essential to justice (for example, detailed ordinances which contain many variable factors); these secondary rules are by no means absolute and immutable. Examples would be rules concerned with taxation, buying and selling, and other such circumstantially variable regulations. Moral law is composed of both types of rules and is neither absolute nor immutable in all its requirements. #RandolphHarris 5 of 10

Shun the gossip of human as much as possible, for discussion of Worldly affairs, even though sincere, is a great distraction inasmuch as we are quickly ensnared and captivated by vanity. Many a time I wish that I had held my peace and had not associated with humans. Why, indeed, do we converse and gossip among ourselves when we so seldom part without a troubled conscience? This is not a Wendy interview, this is not The Wendy Show! We do so because we seek comfort from one another’s conversation and wish to ease the mind wearied by diverse thoughts. Hence, we talk and think quite fondly of things we like very much or of things we dislike intensely. However, sad to say, we often talk vainly and to no purpose; for this external pleasure effectively bards inward and divine consolation. Therefore, we must watch and pray lest time pass idly. Bad habits and indifference to spiritual progress do much to remove the guard from the tongue. From four till late, I was wringing my hands and crying. I believe to my soul that your daddy is Gulfport bound. From Memphis to Norfolk is a thirty-six-hour ride. #RandolphHarris 6 of 10

A man is like a prisoner and he is never satisfied. A woman is like a dresser, some man is always rambling through its drawers. It is because so many men wear an apron overhaul. From four until late, she get with a no-good bunch and clownin’. Now, she will not do anything, but tear a good man’s reputation down. When I leave this town, I am only going to bid you a fare, farewell. And when I return again, you will have a great long story to tell. Devout conversation on spiritual matters, on the contrary, is a great assistant to spiritual progress, especially when persons of the same mind and spirit associate together in God. Moral conscience is a concrete intellectual judgment whereby the individual agent decides for oneself that a given action or feeling is good or bad, right or wrong, to be done or not to be done. Conscience is not considered a special power or moral sense, nor is it viewed as the source of universal more convictions. It is simply human’s best practical judgment concerning a concrete moral problem. As such, moral conscience is a person’s internal guide to good action; one acts immorally in going against one’s conscience, for it is one’s best judgment on a matter. #RandolphHarris 7 of 10

If it is not one’s best judgment, then the person is clearly required to make a better effort to reach a conscientious decision. I am going to get up in the morning, I believe I will dust my broom. Girlfriend, the Black man you been lovin’, girlfriend, can get my room. I am going to write a letter, telephone every town I know. If I cannot find her in West Hollywood, she must be in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, I know. I do not want no woman who wants every downtown man she meets. She is a no good doney, they should not low her on the street. I believe, I believe I will go back home. You can mistreat me here, babe, but you cannot when I go home. I am going to call up Paris, she is my good girl over there. If I cannot find her on Philippine’s Island, she must be in Ethiopia somewhere. Reasonable consideration is a proposed action includes thinking of the kind of action that it is (the formal object), the purpose to which it is to be performed. These moral determinants are used to complete the theory of right reasoning. I want to know God’s thoughts. The rest are details. Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the less expensive wine after the guest have too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.  #RandolphHarris 8 of 10

Father in Heaven, this word is for me today. I am raising my expectations. I am building my faith, courage, love, happiness, goals, and dreams. I thank you, God, that You want to do something new and extraordinary in my life. You are God who has blessed me with this beautiful life, amazing family, and great friends. I believe that you are about to flood my life with Your blessings, as you open the windows of Heaven and pour our tsunamis of increased joy, healing, mercy, and blessings that cannot be stopped. Your many blessings and infinite liberality will exceed all my wishes and thoughts. This echo is in my spirit and colonizing my cellular structure, experience and memory, biosocial connection, and body integrity. The goodness of God is denaturing the identity in my body’s reproduction to a genetic code that biotechnical engineers cannot control or manipulate. The bodies deepest structures are possessed and rearranged to overcome me as I heed the echo of the voice of the Lord my God. The body ceases to be a stable spatial map of normalized functions and instead emerges as a highly mobile field of strategic differences known as the divine art of a miracle feeding new events into that pattern. #RandolphHarris 9 of 10

We have forgotten the gracious Hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. The World is comprised of systems with interactive technology and biological components, allowing flows of information and energy. Thermodynamic, evolutionary processes in systems are sometimes accelerated by catastrophe. A large-scale process and new replicative chains—catastrophes caused by outside factors probably increase complexity more rapidly—but unpredictably. Accelerated growth alters the normative process of human reproduction and social organization. We are talking of fusion; of chemical change; the structural reinvention of cells, of matter and energy in a new relationship. It is not represented as a weakness or defect, but a doorway to other modes of being. The traditional domestic order based on serialization and inheritance, replacing this structure with a field of riddles, secrets, misnaming, and hybrid discourses. Infinite extensions in infinite process. #RandolphHarris 10 of 10
