Your soul was in a hurry, and made a rush for a body. There are patient spirits that have waited from eternity, and never found parents fit to be born. Every organic mechanism which provides an organism with the means of purposive activity serves the function of maintenance of the species. This is an empirical fact. Prayer does not equip us for greater works—prayer is the greater work. Yet, we think of prayer as some commonsense exercise of our higher powers that simply prepares us for God’s work. The way we stay strong is through prayer, but remember that it is prayer based on the agony of Christ in redemption of the whole human race, not on my own agony. Jesus Christ offered His sufferings and death to God as a fitting sacrifice in satisfaction for the sins of humans, and regained for them the right to be children of God and heirs Heaven. We must go to God as His child, because only a Child of God gets one’s prayers answered. God has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have our redemption, the remission of our sins. #RandolphHarris 1 of 6

The two great movements of the soul are the desire of honor and the fear of shame. From the sufferings and death of Christ, we learn God’s love for humanity and the evil of sin. Sanctification means the state of proper functioning. To sanctify someone or something is to set that person or thing apart for the use intended by its designer. In the theological sense, things are sanctified when they are used for the purpose God intends. Sanctification is not a question of whether God is willing to sanctify me—is it my will? Am I willing to let God do in me everything that has been made possible through the atonement of the Cross of Christ? Atonement is to suffer the penalty for sins, thereby removing the effects of sin from the repentant sinner and allowing him or her to be reconciled to God. Jesus Christ was the only one capable of carrying out the atonement for all humankind. Because of His atonement, all people will be resurrected, and those who obey His gospel will receive the gift of eternal life with God. God is the soul of our happiness and confidence. There are forces beyond our understanding. Recognize your need, but stop longing and make it a matter of action. Receive Jesus Christ to become sanctification for you by absolute unquestioning faith, and the great miracle of the atonement of Jesus will become real in you. The soul, as you conceive it, is not a spiritual conception, but some kind of organization—a ghost, in short, having function, but the Devil himself cannot define its structure. When a person moralizes, it is a sign that he or she has known error. Because I have been a trifler, I rail against triflers. Impulsiveness is a trait of the natural life, and our Lord always ignores it, because it hinders the development of the life of a disciple. Impulsiveness needs to be trained into intuition through discipline. Discipleship is built entirely on the supernatural grace of God. It is ingrained in us that we have to do exceptional things for God—but we do not. We have to be exceptional in the ordinary things of life, and holy on the ordinary streets, among ordinary people. #RandolphHarris 3 of 6

 The lack of human companionship, the sudden loss of love, and chronic human loneliness are significant contributors to serious disease (including cardiovascular disease) and premature death. A life devoid of human companionship and love, and unpleasant human interactions or the recall of traumatic events could also precipitate life threatening cardiac changes in individual already predisposed to show such changes. No nation spends more money on biomedical research than the United States of America. Total was has been declared on heart disease and on cancer, and billions of dollars have been spent by the U.S. government to eradicate these diseases. Loneliness seems to be a serious problem in our society, and for many the task of easing this affliction seems to be an overwhelming burden. Yet, while the relationship between disease and loneliness seems both empirically and intuitively obvious, our government has never declared war on loneliness. Our nation may very well have reached a point where it is working feverishly to control diseases that we ourselves are causing. #RandolphHarris 4 of 6

What is it that allows us to wage war against heart disease while at the same time ignoring the correlation between divorce and premature coronary death? Why do so readily tolerate social situations that seem to lead inexorably to our own physical destruction? Why do we build elaborate and expensive hospital coronary care units to save peoples’ lives, only to discharge some of them back into the houses of such acute social isolation that their lives will be quickly terminated? It is not biologically possible to teach people how to be happy and serene. The spirit of God witnesses to the redemption of our Lord and to nothing else. The Spirit witnesses only to His own nature and to the work of redemption, never to our reason. If we are trying to make God witness to our reason, it is no wonder that we are in darkness and uncertainty. Place your faith in God and take good care of yourself and follow the advice of your doctors, trust in God, and He will give you the witness of the Spirit.  We have hope through the atonement of Christ to be raised unto life eternal. #RandolphHarris 5 of 6

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all, and the sweetest in the gale is heard; and sore must be the storm that could abash the little bird that kept so many warm. I have heard it in the chilliest land, and on the strangest sea; yet, never, in extremity, it asked a crumb of me. God has extraordinary blessings coming your way—sudden, widespread increase that you have never dreamed of. This is the generation for the surpassing greatness of God’s favor. The economy in Heaven is doing just fine. As long as we stay connected to the divine, putting our trust in God, then you and I are a supply lone that will never run dry. Release your faith for extraordinary blessings. Believe that you can break out of what is holding you back and become everything God created you to be. Incredible power is released when we believe. We have to be faithful day in and day out. God has in Himself all power to defend you, all wisdom to direct you, all mercy to pardon you, all grace to enrich you, all righteousness to provide for you, and all the happiness to crown you. #RandolphHarris 6 of 6
