There learned compute that seven hundred and seven millions of millions of vibrations have penetrated the eyes before the eyes can distinguish the tints of a violet. What philosophy can calculate the vibrations of the heart before it can distinguish the colors of love? I see the lightning in this place where we are. I feel the energy. I have been cold ice without you, but now my heart is open. Through these feelings higher above the smoke, will you feel the sparks after the Sunset (changes angles in the sky) and stay close to see the fire burn because sincerity is to trade one’s heart for another’s. Something is ethereal like the rainbow after a rain or a comet across the sky, but something else can be eternal like our mutual help and friendship. When you can run into a devoted friend persistent in promise, faith courage and loyalty, you feel like an angel soaring in the sky and a mermaid swimming in the sea and you will never feel lonely. Fire in straw will not be hidden, and the flames of affection will burst forth at length, though it be long kept under. #RandolphHarris 1 of 6
The mystical experience is a fact, is unique, and is the same in all cultures; the interpretations of the mystical experience very widely from culture to culture; and a genuine empiricism cannot ignore the mystical experience simply because it is logically paradoxical. Colonialism civilized half the World at the cost of the loss of some amour propre (a sense of one’s own worth; self-respect), of some snobbishness, of some arrogance, of some hard feeling. However, human progress is not automatic; to come into being it requires the constant and deliberate assistance of education (les lumieres), which could be provided only through literature. Many people credit the Egyptians with technology and architecture, the Greeks with art, emulation, and amusement, as well as architecture; the Roman with dignity, gravity of speech, and rational deliberation. These characteristics have helped to create the notion of national souls or collective spirits. People are individuals, and whatever community of interests and talents they show are to be attributed to the influence of other individuals. #RandolphHarris 2 of 6
Daydreaming about something in order to do it properly is right, but daydreaming about it when we should be doing it is wrong. When our purpose is to seek God and to discover His will for us, daydreaming is right and acceptable. However, when our inclination is to spend time daydreaming over what we have already been told to do, it is unacceptable and God’s blessing is never on it. God will take the initiative against this kind of daydreaming by prodding us to action. The inspiration of God is required if drudgery is to shine with the light of God upon it. In some cases, the way a person does a task makes that work sanctified and holy forever. It may be a very common everyday task, but after we have seen it done, it becomes different. When the Lord does something through us, He always transforms it. I must never question the absolute value of personal liberty. This belief is attributed to Seventh Day Adventist and Baptist, my parent’s religions. #RandolphHarris 3 of 6
For me, spirituality rests on the principle of personal interpretation, and the source of one’s convictions was to be looked for in the heart. Individual differences in temperament are irreconcilable, and it is believed that only statistics can help lawmakers solve their people’s ethical problems. It may be this focal point which makes some people fear the natural scientist as the tool of depots. The scientist, who rejects everything which cannot be reduced t mathematics, is always willing to pursue his own ends, regardless of the vital interests of their society. The human organism was formed, governed, and preserved by an immaterial principle, or soul. The soul is a rational and spiritual substance distinct from matter, but simultaneously has the ability to control the organism by an unconscious mode of activity. Thus, the soul not only thinks and wills but, having constructed a body, also excites, regulates, and sustains all involuntary and vital processes. It also does so by the intermediary of movement, which is an immaterial entity, for matter itself is held to be essentially passive and inert. #RandolphHarris 4 of 6
The soul, by a specific energy, is supposed to communicate the spiritual act of movement to the organism in pursuance of its own aims. And humans, animals, and even planet life have souls. The behavior of others towards us always includes a hidden gift. However, anger may vary all the way from rage to mild resentment. It includes revenge, outrage, indignation, fury, jealousy, vindictiveness, spite, hatred, contempt, wrath, argumentativeness, hostility, sarcasm, impatience, frustration, negativity, aggression, violence, revulsion, meanness, rebellion, explosive behavior, agitation, abusiveness, abrasiveness, smoldering, sullenness, pouting, and stubbornness. These variations of anger are well exemplified by the daily news on the television. There is a lot of energy in anger; therefore, we may actually feel energized when we are irritated or angry. The way to offset anger is to acknowledge and relinquish the pride, surrender our desire for the pleasure of being entirely consumed by sorrow, self-deprecation or other negative emotions is to experience the joy of being generous with others as its own reward. #RandolphHarris 5 of 6
Have you ever been driven to do something for God not because you felt that it was useful or your duty to do so, or that there was anything in it for you, but simply because you love Him? There are times when it seems as if God watches to see if we will give Him even small gifts of surrender, just to show how genuine our love is for Him. Once we are totally surrendered to God, He will work through us all the time. Many a rainy or shiny day has passed amidst drifting leaves, but your melodious song still lingers in the woods in my memory and your enchanting figure flies from time to time into my dreams that arouses my memory of the past days with gentle breezes, murmuring brooks, white clouds and sunlight. Real love can only arise where there is either a void in the heart, occasioned by falsehood or indifference of a once favorite object, or where love before has never admitted. God repeated several times, that he was in love with me, and my heart spoke as plain as a voice, that I liked. #RandolphHarris 6 of 6
