As the son of a prosperous businessman, who left me sufficient money to devote my life to private study and writing. Some of my idols are great thinkers of the Victorian age, such as J.S. Openness involves an appreciation of things others might consider impractical and a readiness for new and unusual experiences. My memory is excellent, and I can express myself both in writing and conversation with great fluency and eloquence, and am considered a first-class linguist; I possess moreover, an immense capacity for methodical work, together with an intense intellectual curiosity and a meticulous eye for detail. Through my preparation of this enormous enterprise, my chief concern was finding something that makes me happy. Above all, the one thing we have not assumed is that reality, especially its knowledge by humans, is independent of our minds, needs, and social purposes. The very description of reality is shot through and through with human needs, passions, and emotions. It is also strongly affected by the nature of our minds and the general culture of which we are a part. If one is wrong, a great deal of suffering can be inflicted, and this is why some people wonder if the actions of humans, and therefore of societies, governed by fixed laws, or are they the result either of chance or of supernatural interference? So far, the theory of supernatural interference is concerned, this, together with the associated theological doctrine or predestination, remains a barren hypothesis, since no conceivable experience can count for or against the truth. On the other hand, the view that what occurs in the realm of human affairs is the product of chance seems to be demonstrably false; it has, however, been given an aura of spurious respectability by metaphysical philosophers who have carried the principle in question over into the sphere of individual human psychology. Some people used to cut open live animals and marvel at how well they imitated the sensation of pain, when (according to those particular people) as being without souls and rationality they could not actually feel pain. Therefore, it is clear that people’s convictions are culturally contingent. It is precisely such blind reliance upon the findings of individual introspection that has been the besetting sin of metaphysicians, leading them to construct their impressive-looking, through nonetheless mutually incompatible, systems in accordance with a radically mistaken procedure. Most people believe that all living being, animated or inanimate feel pain. And, for most, assuming that a being cannot suffer means that one need not give that creature any consideration when it comes to how that being is treated. By contrast, in order to achieve a realistic conception of the nature and workings of the human psyche it is necessary to adopt an external and general view of human behavior analogous to that taken by natural scientists in the investigation of nonhuman phenomena.  #RandolphHarris 4 of 9

From this altered standpoint, it can indeed be seen that the actions of humans are subject to regularities as strict and mathematically exact as those that operate in others spheres of scientific inquiry. As a conclusive demonstration of this thesis, look at the evidence afforded by large-scale statistical surveys concerning the numbers of marriages contracted, and of murders and suicides committed, in particular countries and towns during successive years; the results provide an overview of trends and interrelationships between various parts of the criminal justice system to promote informed decision-making in administration, nationally and internationally. The relative uniformity of the results obtained would be unintelligible on any other assumption than that there are certain social laws capable of keeping the level constant. The perceived seriousness of the crime, first and primarily as defined by the victim, second as defined by law enforcement, apparently accounts for most of the variance in whether a crime is reported and officially recorded; personal characteristics of the offender and victim have only minor effects. #RandolphHarris 5 of 9

The general condition of society and how they sometimes interpret the statistical data is misleading. For instance, accurate statistics on the frequency of men who are physically forced into sexual situations and victimized while they are incapacitated has been difficult to obtain for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that men are even less likely than women to report they have been victims of s sexual assault. One reason for this failure to report may be that men fear that they will be judged harshly if they reported the abuse. At least one study supports this claim (Spencer & Tan, 1999). The authors found that men who reported being sexually abused were viewed negatively, especially by other men. Another reason that sexual assault of male is reported less often is because it receives much less attention. The sexual assault of men is rarely reported in the media or in the psychological and medical literature. In fact, it has only been in the last two decades that many states have revised their criminal codes to include adult males as victims within the definition of rape. While the vast majority of rape victims are women, research indicates that as many as 3 percent of men have been raped. Gay men, prison inmates, and prisoners of war are particularly at risk for assault. However, so are heterosexual men. It is usually considered more serious when a man takes an intoxicated female home and has the sex with her, while she is under the influence, but the same thing happens to men. Often times women will have the sex with a man, while he is incapacitated and sometimes they get pregnant, but it is not considered rape because men are viewed as sexual beast, who always want the sex. Sometimes men may not even realize that they have been a victim of rape and end up fathering unexpected children, and that is perhaps why there are so many men who have unwanted children or feel forced to marry women they do not love.  #RandolphHarris 7 of 9

There is a mere existence of a proportional average, observed over a period of time, necessitated, with a kind of irresistible momentum, and the commission of a particular number of male victimization of rape crimes, resulting with a female getting pregnant happens in any given year. Some women used to look at this as a pay day, they could have a baby by a man, force him to marry her, and never have to work, or supplement her income by collecting child support. However, sometimes unexpected and unwanted pregnancies leads to violence. One young lady was allegedly punched twice in her stomach and thrown down a flight of stairs after conceiving a child by a young man without his permission. Needless to say the child was never born. As a result, a picture is presented wherein human beings appears as the helpless victims of social forces over which they can exert no effect influence or control—a conclusion in no way entails the premises. The sexual assault of heterosexual and homosexual men are not, as some previous theorists have alleged, innate racial characteristics or mysterious national spirits. Civilization has made little further reference to precise numerical regularities or frequencies. Learned behavior, and indeed all culture, is the result of psychological adaptions that have evolved over long periods of time. Those adaptions, like all traits of the individual human beings, have both genetic and environmental components. We fervently believe that, just as the tiger’s stripes and the mermaids tail are the results of past Darwinian selection, so also is rape. Love may do much, but friendship shall do wonders; friendship, the nobler passion of the mind, born with the soul, must still with that survive, when love, the silly baby of the fancy, can no more. Much less pleasure in being the master of acres than the friend of man. If you are celibate, or not sexually active, then it is probably best to let someone know upfront.
