There is no crime so dangerous, so detestable, as hypocrisy; it has the complicated guilt of every crime that it conceals . Justice does not the less exist, because her laws are neglected. Strong minds perceive that justice is the highest of the moral attributes. A sense of what she commands lives in our hearts; and when we fail to obey that sense, it is to weakness, not to virtue, that we yield.  It is important that we set up a justice fund, in America, because many people who are accused of crimes are often innocent and forced to use a public defender because they are poor. Public defenders are laws that are paid for by the city or state, which is the same people who are trying to prosecute you and often times they have working relation with the prosecution, and they may not actually be looking to defend you, but may want to pressure you into taking a deal to save money and time and to keep their relationships good. The prosecution has a 95 percent conviction rate, even with people who have the money to pay for an attorney. The prosecution is very good at what they do.  #RandolphHarris 1 of 6

And I am not saying that all public defenders will not be adequate, but they are not allotted the resources to get professional witnesses, expert testimony, nor funds to hire private detectives to further investigate. The innocents project is a nice resource, it helps people who been convicted of crimes get out of prison by proving that they were innocent, but the goal is to keep people, who are innocent, out of prison. A criminal trial is very expensive, it can cost the prosecution $8,000.00 a day. If the defendant is accused of a felony, a legal cost could be more than $5000.00 a week, and often times these cases go on for years. When a person is sent to prison in New York City, New York, USA it costs taxpayers $167,731.00 to feed, house, and guard each inmate. Meanwhile, the overall average household income is $65,751.00 a year, but for many single people that number is significantly lower at $34,940.00 annually. Therefore, it would benefit everyone to keep innocent people out of court and out the system.  #RandolphHarris 2 of 6

Furthermore, unlike wealthy Americans, when they are accused of a crime, they can refer the investigators to their attorney, who is often able to mitigate the case before it even goes to court, a public defender is only assigned after a person is charged and arrested and cannot pay legal fees. And although the prosecution and police are good at what they do, sometimes they make mistakes, overlook evidence, or may not see things clearly because of the political climate. Zukael T. Stephens was charged with beating transgender make-up artist, drug dealer, prostitute, and activist Marcus Rogers to death and then setting his Midtown apartment in Baltimore, Maryland USA on fire. You see, Zukael Stephens went back to Marcus Rogers apartment with two other people, but the camera in the elevator only saw the two of them in them, then hours later, someone who fit the description of Zukael Rogers was seek leaving the apartment and later Marcus Rogers was found dead on the floor when the fire department entered. Because the cameras saw someone who fit the description of Zukel Stephens leaving the apartment, he was arrested and charged with the murder.  #RandolphHarris 3 of 6

Fortunately, there was a defense attorney who took the case, hired a private investigator and tested the evidence. It was found that Zukel Stephens did not actually kill Marcus Rogers because there would have been blood all over his clothes, and not just a little. Also, when the camera footage was looked at, a man with different facial features and facial hair, and the same jacket and was seen leaving the apartment. Zukel Stephens was a model and had very distinctive features and no facial hair when he was seen entering the apartment. The private investigator said it is possible the elevator did not pick up everyone who was in there because the camera only has a certain range of sight, and that Marcus Rogers was involved with some dangerous people and what he was doing attracted a dangerous element. The jury looked at the evidence and found Zukel Stephens not guilty because the evident presented reasonable doubt that was furnished by the defense attorney. However, if Zukel Stephens had a public defender, he may have been convicted. Therefore, a justice defense fund is needed to properly defend people so they get a fair trial.  #RandolphHarris 4 of 6

Also, as Americans, I find it interesting how we are always willing to help others before we help our own people. Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Netflix, AirB&B, Lyft, Goldman Sachs and Koch Industries are speaking out against President Trump for blocking people for certain countries from entering the United States of America, until his administration can get a better idea of how people are screen and make sure they people are not just buying Green Cards to enter America, and also to make sure they are safe and will follow our laws and respect the land and people. And many of these corporations who are opposing the president are donating money and housing and other goods and services to Muslims and to civil rights groups like the ACLU to fight the president. Also, 16 state attorneys general have vowed to fight president Trump. And I find this behaviour appalling and reckless because they are creating anarchy against the president.  #RandolphHarris 5 of 6

Not only that, but none of these people, corporations or government agencies are donating money to fund housing for victims of domestic violence or to stop the murders in Chicago, Illinois USA. And domestic violence is very serious. Many people have never been beat up, not even men; and the men and women who are victims of domestic violence are not just slapped and that is it. Some of them get kicked, choked, raped by knife point while their kids watch. Some are not even allowed by their spouse to leave the house or to take medication for depression. Also, in Chicago, Illinois USA 762 people were killed in 2016, and there were 3,550 shooting incidents. That is out of control, but Americans are not speaking up and protesting and donating money to stop the violence. There are nearly two murders and ten shootings every single day, but no public outcry. And the United Kingdom is speaking out against President Trump for banning people from certain countries, but did you know many African refugees are turned away from the United Kingdom and they are building a thirteen-foot wall in Calais to block refugees from crossing the channel. Hypocrisy is capable of firmness to promote its ends.  #RandolphHarris 6 of 6
