Essence and existence are not really distinct principles in things, but are merely distinguished in thought. You can figure out your age by taking your mental age, dividing it by your chronological age, and multiplying that by 100. You have been away so long that my heart hurts. It feels like it is broken. When I stand up it hurts, when I laugh it hurts. The powers of the soul are not distinct faculties; intellect is the soul understanding, will is the soul desiring and loving.  Sometimes I feel like I cannot take it anymore, sometimes I feel helpless, sometimes I feel stranded like I am washed up on the shore, but you rescue me. You take my hand, standing in the light, somehow you see the way I feel. And I am helpless in your arms, like I was helpless to a love that I had to give—to have you close to me. Sometimes when I a dreaming, I just cannot escape the fear, it always seems to find me. I run where I can hide and I cannot recognise the ghost, something lost inside me. However, when I wait until light breaks, I can feel your love embrace, caressing me, possessing me. The most important psychic activity of a human is willing. All human conscious activities entail some use of will. A polite greeting will turn my heartfelt blessing into sunny warmth to be branded forever on your mind. Exercise is the source of health and also the knack of longevity—may you exercise every day and live a long, long life!  The moral goodness to consist in volitional conformity to God’s will is the obligatory force of law of the Universe, and has no basis in the nature of created things, but is solely due to the fact that God has willed a certain action to be right. This is a moral and legal voluntarism, God could command that a man deceive another through a lie and he was not sin. Possible things are not absolute beings in an independent realm of ideas, but they depend for their existence on God’s understanding (not on his will). It is a part of God’s essence to think possible things as they are, but they are only insofar as God thinks them. We are Universal beings with great power and authority in the matrix within, which the individual’s Worlds and self—our essence—are determined.
