Time is an abstract quantity and flows endlessly and without beginning. Brain events are a necessary condition of mental events, and also leave open the possibility that some mental events occur after the death of their associated bodies. Minds are the result of two components—a nervous system, and a psychogenic factor, which is modified by experience and capable of persisting after bodily death. When a psychic factor is united with a body, it functions as a mind and certain traces are formed. When a person experiences cessation of the body, this factor separates; thus, a discamate (incorporeal entities) psychic factor will not have a mind or consciousness. If it so happens that a psychic factor after its dissolution from the body with which it has so long been associated comes into contact with the body of a living organism, as would be the case of an entranced medium, the newly formed mind may, in virtue of the impressions this psychic factor has in the form of traces, recall the experiences of the deceased person with whose body the psychic factor had been united. #RandolphHarris 1 of 7

Picture time as a never-ending spiral, where at any moment, energy can transfer from an inner line to an outward line. That energy postcognitions read. That every energy carries images, sights, sounds, and other characteristics that stimulate the mind to perceive past events. Some believe that in normal thinking and perceiving that people are the same sort of relation to what is going on in the sensory part of their brains and nervous systems as that of the successful clairvoyant to some external event, and that this relation is established by the same means. In the act of perception, according to this view, we are not aware of the immediate cause of our perceptions, the cause being the changes in the brain and nervous system. So also, a successful clairvoyant is not aware of the object of his or her cognition. Then normal perception differs from clairvoyance in that the former is mediated by the brain and nervous system while in the case of clairvoyant perception a direct contact between the subject and the object is established. It is assumed that there is some entity that is involved in our processes of volition and perception, which is called Shin. Shin is almost like the soul, but the soul carries a certain connotation that is partly outside of the field of parapsychology. #RandolphHarris 2 of 7

Mind-body relation is similar to the relation between a visible body and an invisible one. Shin is constantly operative in sensory as well as extrasensory cognitions. It is constantly being informed of our sensory perceptions. It is cognitions are received from the perceptual side and its volitions are active on the motor side. In normal perceptions, Shin is mediated by the brain and the nervous system, and in psi cognitions, such as clairvoyance, it is directly connected with the object. Stimuli from the object act on the sensory part of the nervous system. Shin is informed by the process in the nervous system. On the other hand, in the process of clairvoyance, direct connections are established between Shin and the object, without the intervention of the brain and the nervous system. Thus, postcognitions (the ability to visually perceive information about past events of a particular object, person, or anything in between without any guessing based on deductive reasoning and current knowledge. Classified as extra sensory perception) are not supernormal, but are exosmotic (recording memories outside of the brain) forms of process which are normally endosomatic (within the body of an organism). #RandolphHarris 3 of 7

Suppose we took seriously the suggestion that each person has an extended but intangible and invisible body as well as one’s ordinary body and that the invisible body puts forth pseudopods which touch and affect external objects. The existence of such a body would certainly alter a number of our views on topics like causation and the mind-body problems. However, exactly how they were altered would depend on such factors as the degree of control we could exert over our invisible bodies, whether they survived our corporeal bodies, and what sort of knowledge we could have of our intangible bodies. It is considered self-contradictory to speak of preconizing something that does not yet exist as well as arguments that paranormal precognition makes an effect precede its cause—correctly guessing a card symbol would be influenced by what is to be known later about the card. However, showing that paranormality is logically possible does nothing claims over alternative hypotheses in the explanation of unlikely experimental data, data that may be unlikely because of selective sampling alone. #RandolphHarris 4 of 7

Telepathy is a process of Shin acting on, or being acted on by, a nervous system other than its own. In every normal act of perception, Shin is informed of the processes in its own nervous system. It might sometimes happen that Shin develops contacts with some nervous system other than its own and is thus aware of processes of that other nervous system. Telepathy, then, would be like any other process of perception except that it would involve cognitive relations with a nervous system that is outside the body which Shin is residing. Dr. Sigmund Freud says he once saw his doppelganger, fleetingly, in a mirror. Another quite typical case of spontaneous astral projection took place in the 1840s. The students of a young primary school teacher named Emelie Sagee, in Livonia, France, witnessed her to appear at two places at the same time during a period of over a year. For example, “one of her” walked outside the classroom while the “other of her” walked into the classroom. The “two of her” even appeared at the same time on some occasions. For example, “one of her” was writing on the blackboard while the “other of her” was imitating her. #RandolpHarris 5 of 7

Emelie Sagee was a popular teacher that her school continued hiring her though she produced such a weird phenomena. However, students’ parents took their children away from the school and she was laid off at last. She went to work in another school. However, it turned out the same. She herself was not able to deal with it herself either. It was because it is not necessary that what is seen be always a whole human figure in astral projection phenomena. Only the face was seen in some records. W. Hudson, a naturalist and writer, said that he was walking back to his London home when he saw a face he knew so vividly seen that it could not have appeared more real human face if the girl had actually come before him. He was very fond of her, and wrote to her parents to inquire if all was well with her. They replied that there was nothing the matter. When he next met her mother, however, she told him that just before getting his letter, to their astonishment their daughter had broken out into a passionate revolt against their authority on a religious question; she had told them, “that she had prayed to Heaven to send me to her assistance—to protect and deliver her from them.” #RandolphHarris 6 of 7

Some instances of astral projection are voluntary and some are not. There is a long history of out-of-body in the Western culture. In the pages of 2 Corinthians, The New Testament, Paul reported: I know a man in Christ who fourteen year ago was caught up to the third Heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—was caught up to paradise. The earlier idea of out-of-body can date back to ancient Egypt. Some researchers hold that the ancient people’s ideas about the independent entity beyond the corporal body are based on their personal experiences and observations of facts. The cause of any change contains a change as an essential factor, which are synthetic—informative about the World—but necessarily true. Father, in Heaven, you have promised to take the scars of my life and turn them into stars, to give me beauty for ashes, and to pay me back double for anything lost. I have made up my mind that I will give life all of my effort, knowing you will restore health and give me new opportunities and new relationships and new perspectives. Even though it is painful for a time, it is not the end. A full life is still in front of me. I believe you have a happily ever after in my near future. #RandolphHarris 7 of 7
