Human accomplishments in life weigh more than human weaknesses, in most circumstances. Review the Holy Bible documentation of how David’s adultery with Bathsheba weighed less on history’s scales for instance, than the defense strategy David used against Goliath. It is always recommended that when an epidemic is about to outbreak somewhere, that community’s people are inoculated against exposure with some of the same germs that are anticipated—and this prepares them to resist the oncoming virus. Hating me has become the cause for people of shattered faith to rally around. I never dreamed that some in the media and community has tried to make it appear that instead of inoculating against an epidemic, I had started it. However, some of these people are really honest and sincere. I sat down with one female reporter, in her office, as I drank bottled water she provided, and we spent a considerable amount of time talking about areas of archaeology, history, religion, and future events. It was so pleasant. I almost forgot the heavy worries on my mind—for that brief respite. I remember we wound up agreeing that medical care is a great benefit of a civilized society. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 5
In the Biblical account of David and Goliath, the Philistine army had gathered for war against Israel. The Philistine’s had a giant, by the name of Goliath, a growling giant over nine feet tall, who had this marvelous, expensive, and impenetrable armor on, so much larger than any mortal man and had madness lurking in his face. Goliath came out every day in a rabid state of animal savagery, his long hair wafted around him like black smoke, its tendrils curling and moving on its own volition, as he mocked and challenged the Israelites to fight. Saul, the King of Israel, and the entire army were terrified of Goliath. Back then they did not have modern weapons, like guns, so this giant Goliath was literally eating their men for breakfast, breaking them in half and squishing them with his ample feet, so King Saul felt that they would surely be defeated as they were scared for their lives and losing hundreds of men each day to the ferocious beast. However, David, the youngest son of Jesse, was sent to battle by his father to bring back new of what was happening to his brothers. David was an average mortal man, just under six feet tall, and a teenager at the time. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 5
You could almost feel death gathering as the dark shadows of the twilight encroached upon the kingdom. David saw this giant, Goliath shouting his daily defiance and breaking the backs of men and snuffing their life out for fun, and he saw the great fear it created in the men of Israel. David demanded to know, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of God?” So young David was a brave man and decided that he wanted to fight Goliath. So after much pleading with King Saul, he let him. Dressed in a simple Greek tunic, carrying his shepherd’s staff, sling, and a pouch full of stones, David approached Goliath. The giant cursed at him, hurling threats and insults. David replied to the Philistine called Goliath, “You come against me with a sword and spear and javelin, and are much larger than me, but I come against you in the name of the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied today, and I will defeat you and give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of their air and the whole World will know that there is a God in Israel. It is not by sword nor speaking that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” #RyanPhillippe 3 of 5
As Goliath moved in for the kill, finding a vulnerability in the armor, David reached into his and slung one of his stones at Goliath’s head, the stone sank into the giant’s forehead, and he fell face down on the ground. David then took Goliath’s sword, and killed him and then cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran. So the Israelites pursued, chasing and killing them and plundering their camp. Through his believe in God and steadfast determination and bravery, the spiritual son of Israel won the battle and saved the kingdom. This story of David and Goliath reminded me of my dad and how he was doing very well before he went to work, his own house in the hills and lots of car, but when the war was over, he was left healing from a serious mortal wound and living in a flat. Nonetheless, he kept gainful employment, always working an honest job, and protected and took great care of his family, his kids always came first. Also, this is a great story because it shows you that through perseverance and faith in the Lord, those who are oppressed can overcome any challenge by keeping their faith, which is an unquestioning believe, specifically, in God. God wounds but to heal. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 5
I never dreamed that media critics and other officials were going to make it appear that I was throwing gasoline on the fire, making the situation worse than it is. However, the fact of the matter is that we live in America, and it is a great country where we have human rights and a free system for the descendant of a former enslaved African now lives in the Presidential White House and is one of the most influential people in the World. Doubting the existence of any universal human nature about which we can validly generalize, realistic skepticism limits itself to the disposition of humans as they are known in the modern World. One human expressed his frustration by saying, “I hate and detest that animal called Man, although I heartily love John, Peter, Thomas, and so forth,” who all happen to be saints. Each man is passionate about his own projects and primarily interested in cultivating them with the minimum outside interference. To some extent, modern humans are capable of governing themselves, but their individual resources are insufficient. In order to prevent constant collision and frustration, some agency is required which will supervise a set of rules that is designed simply to serve this limited purpose. The image of the ruler is therefore that of the umpire or referee who controls the game without physically participating in it. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 5
