I am interested in civilization, and peace is civilization’s only climate; you cannot have civilization and war at the same time. By going among primitive people, I have learned what civilization was not. The Western “love” concept, you take it apart, it really is lust. All of that Hollywood stuff! Like these women wanting me to pick them up and carry them across thresholds and some of them weigh more than you do. I do not know how many marriages break ups are caused by these movie and television-addicted women expecting some bouquets and kissing and hugging and being swept out like Cinderella for dinner and dancing—then getting mad when a poor, scraggly husband comes in tired and sweaty from working like a warrior all day, looking for some food. Love transcends just the physical appearance. Love is disposition, behavior, attitude, thoughts, likes, dislikes—these thing make a beautiful person, a beautiful partner for life. This is the beauty that never fades. You find in Western civilization, often times, that when a spouse’s physical beauty fails, they lose their attraction. However, we are supposed to look into the person, and teach our spouse to look into us. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 5
I mentioned, you remember, how in a big city, a sizable organization can remain practically unknown, unless something happens that bring it to the general public’s attention. I have learned that people were civilized to the extent that they did not make way, did not plug one another with arrows, did not tolerate male dominance in their society, and so on. I have tried to get something that over in these essays. Only time will tell whether I am more successful at writing of life or living it. I feel it is more important to make a success of living then writing. The two do not always coincide. I want to record my experiences, or rather record what I have learned of them, but to do this truthfully and courageously one must first establish himself as a man. That is the most difficult task of all. All the races of human beings must be honored and recognized. Separation must end. Supremacy of a chosen few must end. It is long enough that for you to know that we the people are the dream of Earth; we are the Earth’s gift to the Universe. Listen to your own heart. If you learn that, you will know the wisdom of ages. Learn to speak your own words, and sing your own song, while you learn to allow others to enjoy the same state of being. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 5
I have tossed away safe jobs with wonderful prospects. So I must be, at heart a gambler. I do not lay poker or bet on horses, and I am trying to wean myself off the flutters on the Stock Exchange. These are minor forms of gambling compares with authorship. Nothing I have written has paid off yet, however. It is an interesting challenge and craftsmanship to command a World audience. We must learn to respect all life—respect the planet. It I all consciousness. It is all life. We are all related, just different expressions of divine intelligence. It is all in the song of the creation, and the song is made up of many notes. If you can no longer get u in the night to listen to the falling rain, or to listen to the sound of the owl outside your window with joy in your heart. If you can no longer enjoy the wind rustling through the grass of the warmth of the Sun upon your face, if there is no longer a song in your heart and a dream in your heart—you are going to need it. You must make the conscious decision to change your life. I am not talking about changing roles or using different words. If you do not love yourself enough to change, then you will not be able to come into alignment with the new frequencies. My prayer for you, is that you will wake up tomorrow and walk this Earth consciously. I pray that every movement you live will have purpose, that every work you speak has a meaning, and that every thought you have be a prayer of gratitude for being alive, knowing that you are the life of this planet. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 5
A proper contribution to the knowledge of the sexual instinct in persons who are at least related to the normal can be gained only from one source, and is accessible only by one definite path. There is only one way to obtain a thorough and unerring solution of problems in the sexual life of so-called psychoneurosis (hysteria, obsessions, the wrongly named neurasthenia, and surely also dementia praecox and paranoia), and that is by subjecting them to that cathartic or psychoanalytic investigation. These psychoneuroses, as far as my experience goes, are based on motive powers of the sexual instinct. I do not mean that the energy of the sexual instinct merely contributes to the forces supporting the morbid manifestations (symptoms), but I advisedly maintain that this contribution supplies the only constant and most important source in the neurosis. The sexual life of neurotics manifests itself either exclusively, preponderantly; or partially in these symptoms. The symptoms are the sexual activities of the patient. The proof for this assertion I have obtained from an increasing number of hysteric and other neurotics during a period of a decade. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 5
Psychoanalysis abrogates the symptoms of hysteria on the supposition that they are the substitutes—the transcriptions as it were—for a series of emotionally accentuated psychic processes, wishes, and desires, to which a path of discharge through the conscious psychic activities has been closed by a special process (repression). These mental formations which are restricted to the unconscious state, strive for expression; that is, for discharge, in conformity to their affective value, and find such in hysteria through a process of conversation into somatic phenomena—the hysterical symptoms. If, lege artis (according to the law of art), and with the assistance of a special technique, retrogressive transformation of the symptoms into the affectual and conscious thoughts can be effect, it then becomes possible to get the most accurate information about the nature and origin of these previously unconscious psychic formations. The hysterical character shows a fragment of sexual repression, which reaches beyond the normal limits because of shame and loathing. It is an instinctive flight from intellectual occupation with the sexual problem, the consequences of which in pronounced cases is a complete sexual ignorance, which is preserved until the age of sexual maturity is attained. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 5
