There are disturbing influences in our larger Universe not found in this smaller one, but the general drift of events is evidently the same. The rate of increase will be slackened. However, it lies with us to decide whether this shall happen destructively, with accompanying misery and degeneration, or constructively, in accordance with increasing knowledge. The “unclean spirits” which now possess Man may rightly be termed Legion. We know what happened to those Gadarene swine who were possessed by the spirits of Legion. However, it is still not too late for mankind to check the swift career down that steep place into the sea where the two thousand swine were choked. The goal of human life on Earth is now visibly in sight, and the great question before us is: What kind of people are they to be who will inherit the Earth? To-day is still in our power to determine the answer to the question. At the present rate of increase, the time when there will be no more room left on Earth is not so far distant, but that some of our grandchildren will live to see it. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 7

Now it is certain that the present rate of increase will not be maintained. The growing difficulty of obtaining food must cause an ever larger number to perish long before every swap has been drained and every desert and mountain top rendered available for agriculture. However, if we assume that Man will continue to make but feeble efforts to control his own fate, while the final catastrophe will thus be delayed, it will not be averted. All life, when left to itself, follows the same laws.  At first very slow, the rate gradually increased, reaching he maximum probably the point at which Man is now arriving—and then began to decrease in rapidity, though numbers still increased, finally reaching a point at which the density of population will result in complete saturation. Currently, the Zika Virus Infection is a natural form of population control as the Earth starts to reach this point of complete saturation.  There now are 1,404 people in the United States of American who have the Zika virus, and 3,827 people in US territories, for a total of 5,231 people infected in America and American territories.  #RyanPhillippe 2 of 7

Zika is spread mostly by the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. These mosquitoes are aggressive daytime biters, and they can also bite at night. Zika can be passed from a pregnant woman to her fetus. Infection during pregnancy can cause certain birth defect. Zika is not currently being spread by mosquitoes in the continental United States. However, mosquitoes that can carry Zika are found in some areas of the United States of America. There is no vaccine or medicine for Zika. Zika virus can be spread during the sex. A man with Zika virus can pass it to his female or male partners during vaginal, anal, or oral (mouth-to-penis) sex without a condom. Condoms can reduce the chance of getting Zika from the sex if used correctly from start to finish, every time you have vaginal, anal, or oral (mouth-to-penis) sex. Nonetheless, not having the sex eliminates your risk of getting Zika from the sex. We do not know if a woman with Zika can pass the virus to her partners, during vaginal or oral (mouth-to-vagina) sex. We do not know if Zika can be passed through saliva during kissing. We do not know if Zika passed to a pregnant woman during the sex has a different kind of risk for birth defect than Zika transmitted by a mosquito bite. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 7

Here, at the threshold of eugenics, which is the study or belief in the possibility of improving the qualities of the human species or a human population, especially by such means as discouraging reproduction by persons having genetic defects or presumed to have inheritable undesirable traits, we must find a reasonable practical instrument, whatever its defects, for limiting the family and eugenically moulding the future race is the method of contraception, henceforth the most obvious though not only form of birth control. It is practically a new method, and as yet has no measurable influence in restraining the ever increasing flood of human fertility. The pessimists may shake their heads, but it is too early to despair of the future of humanity and meekly become swine. Some day, let us be sure, the World will recognize all that it owes to those noble pioneers who, at the risk of obloquy, had the vision to see the fate that threatens Man and the courage to face it with hope. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 7

Ground for amusement has in fact not seldom been afforded alike by cranks and by well meant cranky legislation. It is just as foolish to suppose that a new race can be created by legislation as that a new morality can be so established. The details of the methods by which the human race may be purified and invigorated have always been left free and open because at the present stage of investigation, they cannot be determined. We would rather have eugenics to be a kind of religion than a subject for legislation, doubtless because Parliamentary statutes are only sound in so far as they approximate to common law and merely asset that which the community is already spontaneously doing. It is education that, above all, we need, education in existing knowledge and determination to assist the further growth of knowledge, together with training in personal and social responsibility.  #RyanPhillippe 5 of 7

The process of Eugenics is probably taking place in England, with a threat of national decay, for the whole tone of a nation is permanently affected by the moral and intellectual contagion which is due to the presence in its ranks of persons of inferior type, even though they are not of the lowest type. No compulsory sterilization can be enforced here; it is a problem which must be met indirectly. Yet, clearly mother nature is stepping in with the Zika virus and making more people aware of how important having the protected sex is because otherwise, if you do not, a bug might bite you and you baby could be born with a serious birth defect that is extremely noticeable and will make them be born with an abnormally small head, and possibly an intellectual and physical limitations. In former days, sterilization meant castration, and while it was carried out extensively in the form, not only was it adopted to merely preserve the singing voices of boys, it has now been superseded. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 7

Castration, it is recognized, is harmful by depriving the organism of the internal secretions necessary for full development, which was indeed precisely why it was adopted from the Papal choirs. The methods of sterilization now employed have no wicked effect whatever on the organism. They merely present the sperm cell or the ovum from reaching their normal exit, and so inhibit procreation, while leaving the sexual desire and sexual potency intact. The operation itself is so slight that, on the man at all events, it can be carried out without interference with his daily work. That is why sterilization has become the safest and surest method of contraception when procreation is underisible. So simple it is indeed that the fear has been expressed that it might become popular among men who for selfish reasons did not wish to have children. That possibility, however, it should be added, is by no means to be regretted. People who do not wish to have children are the last people who ought to have children; they could make undesirable parents, and it is in the social, economic, and medical interest that they should be shut out from parenthood.
