Given Destiny—Future I got the Keys!

Trauma stories lessen the isolation of trauma, and they provide an explanation for why people suffer the way they do. The description of the situations allows doctors to make diagnoses, so they can address problems like insomnia, rage, nightmares, or numbing. Stories can also provide people with a target to blame. Blaming is a universal human trait that helps people feel good while feeling bad: Hate makes the World go round. However, stories also obscure a more important issue, namely, that trauma radically changes people: that in fact they are no longer themselves. We were born of their union, their love. You cannot undergo a change of heart of this magnitude while you are thinking that you are separate from life around you. You cannot thrive through these shifting of realities if you think that animals are just beasts with no consciousness, and therefore you can kill them without consequences or just for financial gain or for sport. Murder for sport does not cut it.  #BethBehrs 1 of 5

It is excruciatingly difficult to put that feeling of no longer being yourself into words. Language evolved primarily to share things out there, not to communicate our inner feelings, our interiority. (Again, the language centers of the brain is about as far removed from the center for experiencing one’s self as is geographically possible.) Mot of us are better at describing someone else than we are at describing ourselves. The task of describing most private experiences can be liked to reaching down to a deep well to pick up small fragile crystal figures while you are wearing thick leather mittens.  You cannot thrive through this shifting of consciousness and dimensional realities, if you think you can take whatever you want from the Earth without asking or without giving anything back. There is a little matter of the law of the giveaway. All law has cause and effect. We are feeling the effect of our lack of awareness of the Sacred. We must learn to heal our thinking. We must learn to heal ourselves. Somehow we must remember the Sacred. #BethBehrs 2 of 5

We can get past the slipperiness of words by engaging the self-observing, body-based self-system, which speaks through sensations, tone of voice, and body tensions. Being able to perceive visceral (internal organs) sensations is the very foundation of emotional awareness. If a patient tells me that he was eight when his father deserted the family, I am likely to stop and ask him to check in with himself: What happens inside when he tells me about that boy who never saw his father again? Where is it registered in his body? He replied he felt his heart sink in his chest, the light being sucked out of his eyes and like he was trapped in a dark room all alone and wanted to cry. He felt like no one was there. Aloneness is very different from loneliness. However, you can never know the unbelievable potential of living in a state without loving yourself. And if you do not love yourself, you exist in a state of denial. Living in denial, you only know separation from life, from God, and officially even from self. #BethBehrs 3 of 5

When you activate your gut feelings and listen to your heartbreak—when you follow the interceptive pathways to your innermost recesses—things begin to change. The most intense and powerful one-on-one developmental relationships, entailing the most influence, identification, and emotional involvement offers hints of telepathically sensing sensitive individuals. Such individuals might learn a mind trick or two and probably have impressive reflexes, but they will never fully realize their promise without a mentor’s guidance. When they are simply preset, with themselves and with each other, they experience a profound sense of connection. This was a revelation to them both. And yes, they may even be capable of creating other life forms, as they are doing in Los Alamos New Mexico. The future is not somewhere out in space. The past is behind us. We must find the Now. We only allow it to exist in fleeting moments of beauty that we mostly shrug off as fantasy! Then we shut off the fantast to return to reality, which is a hopeless fantasy, is it not? #BethBehrs 4 of 5

This is the doorway for all of us—to recognize that all of our suffering, relational and otherwise, is a symptom of our loss being and our confused attempts to remedy that. Nothing will work unless we realize our deer nature. A good man protects his child. A good man follows orders. The dichotomy creates internal stress (cognitive dissonance) and causes hesitation in the father until, under the duress of witnessing his son’s torture, he chooses the gender role that is consistent with protecting his child. Technology can only go so far. The scientists and technopagans may be able to go to the moon and even calculate the potential size of an earthquake, but they cannot tell you when it is going to happen. They have even learned to time travel, to a certain extent. They can assemble and dissemble the structure of molecules, as they did in the Philadelphia Experiment and the secret work at Montauk. They might even know the experience of other dimensions.  We have to make some serious decisions soon. #Bethbehrs 5 of 5
