My honor is my own keeping, beyond the reach of mankind. It was not too long ago that when you walked down the street you knew someone. Now there seem to e so many strangers. Even at the risk of seeming to interrupt our progress, I shall take a preliminary glance at the process by which the interpretation of dreams is accomplished. I do not deny that the best way of explaining them, and convincing the critic of their reliability, would take a single dream as an example, to detail its interpretation. At this point we are interested exclusively in the essential dream-thoughts. These commonly reveal themselves as a complex of thoughts and memories of the most intricate possible construction, with all the characteristics of the thought-process known to us in walking life. It is left to the interpretation of the dream to restore the coherence which the dream-work has destroyed.  #RyanPhillippe 1 of 21

If dreams lack the ability to express these relationships, the psychic material of which they are wrought must be responsible for this defect. As a matter of fact, the representative arts—painting and sculpture—are similarly restricted, as compared with poetry, which is able to employ speech; and here again the reason for this limitation lies in the material by the elaboration of which the two constructed arts endeavor to express something. Before the art of painting arrived at an understanding of the laws of expression by which it is bound, it attempted to make up for this deficiency. In the antiquated paintings little labels hung out of the mouths of the persons represented, giving in writing the speech which the artist despaired of expressing the picture. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 21

However, why should one be virtuous when it is so much easier to let evil prevail?  Often the speech is only an allusion to an event contained in the dream-thoughts; the meaning of the dream is quite different. Of course, this is not the only way to read what science implies about the future. It is also possible to see nothing but meaningless chance at work in the World, and be discouraged by it. In fact, good is the creative overcoming of inertia, the energy that leads to the evolution of human consciousness. To act in terms of new principles of organization is always more difficult, and requires more effort and energy. The ability to do so is what has also been known as a virtue. As there are virtues which are their own reward, so there are vices which are amply their own punishment. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 21

Why should one want to support evolution without the promise of eternal life as a reward? Whether our present consciousness of individuality is preserved in some dimension of existence after death or disappears completely, the unalterable fact is that our being will forever remain part of it. Those who identify with evolution blend their consciousness with it, like a tiny creek joining an immense river, whose currents become as one. There is no wonder that a virtue no better guarded than by a vice should not be a match for an attack on a corrupt sentinel. How can we find goals that will allow us to enjoy life while being responsible to others? We can focus consciousness on the tasks of everyday life in the knowledge that when we act in the fullness of the flow experience, we are also building a bridge to the future of our Universe.  #RyanPhillippe 4 of 21

Protocol for use with trauma and limiting belief systems can be held very lightly in sessions. After processing traumas, issues, and blocking beliefs with the traditional protocols, bilateral stimulation can officially process  the subtlest of distractions to awareness resting peacefully in itself, from either this or past life memories. Jim’s footsteps are still heard walking across the floor of the upper story of the Whaley House. He routinely makes his way from the upstairs sitting room to the top of the staircase. His manifestation is also occasionally seen in the doorway between the parlor and the reading room—dangling from his executioner’s rope. Witnesses agree that it is not a pretty sight. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 21

Robinson may have been the first of the property’s ghostly inhabitants, but he now shares his eternity with a collection of entities. Because the house is so close to a cemetery and already haunted, it has become something of a meeting place for spirits. The ghosts who congregate in the house are so plentiful and so vibrant that photographers have managed to capture a few of their images. In addition to Yankee Jim, other ghost who are recognized include most of the members of the Whaley family. Thomas Whaley began construction of his family home in 1856. When Corrine Lillian Whaley, Thomas and Anna’s youngest daughter dies at the age of 89 in 1953, a note was found saying that “at least one of the ghost” did not want her presence on the second story of the house. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 21

Yankee Jim Robinson has been haunting the property since he was hanged on the tract of land where the Whaley house was built. Yankee Jim was hanged because two men were charged with a theft. They were sentenced to jail terms but, for undocumented reasons, it was decided that Yankee Jim be hanged. The gallows were erected on the exact spot where Thomas Whaley would later build his house. A spirit described as being a man with a mustache, wearing pantaloons, a frock coat and a wide-brimmed hat, is almost certainly Thomas Whaley himself. Usually his apparition is very solid and clearly visible, one seen, vanishes in an instant. At other times, it is seen as an indistinct blur at the entrance to what used to be his office. #RyanPhillippe 7 of 21

Although the ghost’s face is not recognizable when it appears in that form, his actions are familiar; moments after the phantom is seen, invisible papers are heard being shuffled in Thomas’s otherwise empty office. Occasionally he is also seen walking the grounds of the property, and when a ghostly baritone laugh echoes through the house, it is presumed that Whaley is amused by something. There has been images of ghosts folding invisible clothes, and there are ghostly echoes of a long-ago meeting continue to resonate so clearly in Whaley’s study that an entire group of phantoms can be clearly seen. The images are of men, dressed appropriately for the 19^th century, seemingly involved in a very serious conversation.  #RyanPhillippe 8 of 21

SECRETS AND LIES

The apparitions are so distinct that witnesses note pocket watches, hair color, eye color, and different body sizes and shapes of the various participants in the ghostly gatherings that has never been adjourned. Even when that vision is not apparent, cold spots and cool breezes are scattered around that room although there is no physical explanation for such phenomena. The most poignant image in the Whaley’s house is that if seven-year-old Annabelle Washburn. The little girl died in the Whaley’s kitchen, brought inside after she ran into a clothesline strung in the yard at precisely the height of the child’s neck. Despite her tragic death, she is a happy and, of course, child-like spirit who simply runs throughout the house and the adjacent yard.  #RyanPhillippe 9 of 21

A female apparition wearing a green gingham dress who sits in one of the bedrooms and a dark-skinned woman wearing large gold hoop earrings have not yet been identified. Whether they were associated with the house in life or simply attracted there after death is unclear. Music was an important component of Whaley family life, and it seems to have remained important after their death. Visitors to the house, as well, as those who work there, have heard a female voice singing a song ironically entitled “Home Again.” Musical instruments such as the piano, organ, violin, mandolin—and even a music box—are also heard being played. Reprocessing of traumatic experiences occurs and desensitization is a by-product of the reprocessing so that detachment from old emotional reactions to traumatic memories and core beliefs or interpretations (news stories) about the Self are facilitated. As the target traumatic experience is reprocessed by bilateral stimulation and cognitive interweaves to break through high levels of disturbance, the associated memories, emotions, cognitions, and physical sensations simultaneously shift and new sense of self and new behaviors emerge. Shifts in all the modalities (cognitions, emotion shifts, sensations, and images) take place during reprocessing as the emotions change, associational connections are made, and insights are made. An annex to the Whaley House originally served as a courtroom. Today, it has been refurbished to reflect how it would have looked during those days.  Some of those trials must have been extremely emotion-laden, because it occasionally sounds as though court is still in session—even when the room is empty. #RyanPhillippe 11 of 21

The ghostly sounds of a billiard game being played is a phenomenon that has been examined in depth. Furthermore, protective chains set up around the courtroom move up and down and in a swaying motion when no one is near them. The movement stops whenever a human being comes close by. In other parts of those house, door knobs rattle, light fixtures swing and tinkle, kitchen utensils hanging from hooks on a wall move sideways as though they were pendulums, burglar alarms malfunction and windows mysteriously open. One visitor to the house watched in awe as a bedcover moved when he was near the bed. At other times, the clomping of unseen horses’ hooves are still heard outside as though a phantom carriage were arriving at the house #### limo #RyanPhillippe 12 of 21

Clients are retrained by their own self-regulating healing process and by cognitive interweaves gently supplied by the house along the lines of acceptance and forgiveness. When at the house, people are allowed and encouraged to just allow anything to come up and to report what they get now, permitting full autonomy and free expression of experience without interference from a separate, relative reality. Clients feel in control of the session, not only in choosing the issues they wish to address, but also, if they desire, by starting and stopping a lapscan, light bar, or tac/audio scan, which are the various devices designed to administer bilateral stimulation. From this perspective, reprocessing can invite entertainment vis the interconnectedness of the host and the guest and can naturally recondition the guest around the universal themes of impermanence, trust in Self, nonabidance in the mind, loving kindness, forgiveness, compassion, freedom, creativity, well-being, detachment, and the renunciation of habitual preoccupations of mind. #RyanPhillippe 13 of 21

Judging from all the activity that continues to resonate in the Whaley House, it would seem that the magnificent antiquated home is an excellent haunting spot , not only for the spirits of the long deceased, but also for flesh and blood human beings who are curious about ghosts. Mindful of superstitious and habitual interpretations of what causes change and are scrupulous when using cognitive interweaves to simply point the guest toward the acceptance of life, death, and perpetual change. The ghost and the house target physical sensations in the body as well as emotions, memories, and interpretations of the distracting events or symptoms to be desensitized and reprocessed.  #RyanPhillippe 14 of 21

Guest experience emotions arising out of nothing, growing, peaking, subsiding, and disappearing into emptiness. Since they are constantly moving and changing as emotion in motion, they are untrustworthy as a source of security. People has also experienced the flexibitity of thought when negative or self-limiting thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs are naturally replaced by good cognitions during being with the ghost and in the house, while reprocessing. They learned to disidentify from the personality’s vicissitudes of thought and emotion and to identify with a deeper stratum of Being. Although formless, it goes by all names and shows up as all forms, so call it awareness, openness, or Presence; it is eternal and provides the only true security.  #RyanPhillippe 15 of 21

Once, after returning from a weekend trip, we heard footsteps running across the floor above, as though running away from the people coming home. We searched the entire area, but found no one. We did, however, find lights burning despite their having been turned off before the trip—and our small child’s  riding toy has inexplicably been moved to the middle of the kitchen. Nothing was missing from the house and there were no signs of a break-in. We are accustomed to taking concentration, mediation, picture engineering (or imagining), and contemplation as belonging to individual consciousness when they are, it seems to me, a giving over of individual consciousness to the consciousness that is the soul of the World. #RyanPhillippe 16 of 21

Concentration is the art of forgetting our own subjectivity in order to be fully available to what presents itself. When the activities of personal thinking and personal feeling are stilled, the subjectivity of the outer World expresses itself.  Clients or guest are instructed to visualize an inner safe place where they can return as required. This procedure is a direct invitation for clients to go within, quiet down, and discover that safety is already available not. The practice of coming back to the safe place can enhance mindfulness and encourage reorientation to equipoise to the objective reality instead of the subjective, personal story about the client’s suffering. Forgiveness spontaneously arises in the house and around the ghosts, as do spiritual, empty, or numinous states.  #RyanPhillippe 17 of 21

Loneliness and shame are often experiences as a solitude and atonement. Many people can no longer hold so dearly to negative beliefs. Just notice and witness the present moment so that we can discover together from oneness a heretofore unimaginable and often surprising outcome to their meeting. Simply stay in the presence of whatever arises. Focus on safety, nonviolence, love, forgiveness, the formlessness of absolute truth. Replace anger with humor and the acceptance of what is. Return again to peaceful calm from strong emotion-laden concepts, and we can eventually lean to consciously rest in the Ground of Being. #RyanPhillippe 18 of 21

Practice sensing the part of you—the vulnerable boy—most strongly impacted by shame, and bring him back into your heart as best you can, both embracing and protecting him. Imagine that one hand is your heart, holding him closely, and the other hand is out in front of you, palm facing from you in a STOP position, keeping your guard. If you feel shame over hurting another, stay with that shame until a feeling of remorse arises, and then make amends from your heart. You can stay by saying: I am feeling awful right now, and I can tell it is about that way I treated you, but it is really hard to talk about. This is the intensification of intelligence, the warmth and light within things. Call to contemplative life relation with the movement of the soul of the World. #RyanPhillippe 19 of 21

These arts of the soul constitute the practice that fosters the attempt to move into the consciousness soul to achieve the fully conscious presence of the soul World. As you shall see, I have eschewed methods that would most easily evoke this kind of presence of the World in order to avoid nostalgic primitivism, a view of the World of nature as better than the actual World with which we must daily contend, and above all to avoid the development of purely personal abilities and powers. Each of these two versions has its special meaning, and leads along particular paths in the dream-interpretation. I had made the simplest possible funeral arrangements, for I knew what the deceased thought about such matters. #RyanPhillippe 20 of 21

Other members of the family, however, did not approve of the funeral arrangements I made for myself because of such puritanical simplicity; they thought we should feel ashamed in the presence of others mourners. Hence one of the wordings of the dream ask for the shutting of one eye, that is to say, it asks that people should show consideration. Have the energy to be easy-going, laid back. Harmonious, flexible, inclusive, and free of inner resistance. Life is good. You and I are good. I feel connected. It meets life on life’s terms. There is no requirement to blame others or blame life. Life is friendly, helpful, wants to assist, and seeks to be of service. The great end of history is to show how much human nature can endure or perform. Be attentive with a deeper level of soul, to perceive the feelings of the World through one’s feeling of the World. #RyanPhillippe 21 of 21

There follows the attempt to become one with the World occurrence, the occurrence of the World which seems at first formally understandable, but whose soul remains hidden. What is now spoken, thought, imaged does not have the aim of being informative, but presents itself in soul in order to be realized. This kind of imaginal thought does not have to have as it aim a flash of understanding after which we fall back into an experience of “now I have it.” The aim is a real dwelling in the element from which are normally only register flashes, and those only after they are over and done with. Realize the soul in the World and also make the soul of the World, to increase the giving our of soul in order to make soul. You want nothing but patience; or give it a more fascinating name: call it Randolph-a charming passion, the only real friend of human thought.  All good ends can be worked out by good means.
