A reference group is a group from which an individual gets his standards or values whether he actually belongs to that group or not. He compares himself to them and measures his success by their terms. Despite the difficulty of changing loyalties and the threats the process poses to most of us, everyone at some point begins to transfer his loyalties and the source of his standards. Even through many adults are governed strongly by the dictates of the groups they associate with, at least they have the power to choose which groups will dictate to them. #RyanPhillippe 1 of 8

Many people are now calling on others, who support the solidarity of the America family, and stand up for abuse against others and boycott Craig’s American restaurant, located at 8826 Melrose Avenue, in West Hollywood, California 90069 phone number 310-276-1900. Also, many people are very disappointed in Ryan Phillippe for dinning at the establishment, after knowing the prostitute he has been running with and his friends have seriously injured Randolph Harris. #RyanPhillippe 2 of 8

Overheard in the newsroom this morning, “He [Ryan Phillippe] still gone dine out with her [the prostitute] after someone punched him [Randolph Harris] in the face behind the things she said about him. People, if we are going to stop discrimination, harassment, and bullying in America, and all over the World, we have to take a stand and stop doing places with business who thrive off of hooliganism. Some statuses are more prized than others, regardless of how well an individual carries out the role. #RyanPhillippe 3 of 8

This is the concept of prestige. No matter how necessary and valuable the work of a student is, his job will probably never have the prestige that is given to a doctor or teacher. There is much logic in this. We need people to get an education so they can be competent leaders in the future and guide others in the right direction, just as we need those who can repair broken bones and educate child(ren). The element of prestige has an important effect on personality development and especially upon the development of self-concept. #RyanPhillippe 4 of 8

If I work many years to become a top-grade diplomat, I may take a great deal of pride in my work and be paid good wages. However, if people constantly make rude remarks about me for no reason, and it causes me to be physically assaulted and downgrade my status to the point it is not safe for me to even go for a walk through the park, I may end up feeling I am not as good as those who sit around and gossip and tear other people down for fun. #RyanPhillippe 5 of 8

The American male who wears a button-down collar and garter length socks probably also wears wing-tip shoes and carries an attache case. If we look closely, chances are we shall find a facial expression and brisk manner intended to approximate those of the stereotypical executive. The odds are astronomical that he will not let his hair grow wild in the manner of rock musician Jimi Hendrix. He knows, as we do, that certain clothes, manners, forms of speech, opinions, and gestures hang together, while others do not. #RyanPhillippe 6 of 8

He may know this only by feel, or intuition, having picked it up by observing others in the society, but the knowledge shapes his actions. The black-jacketed motorcyclist who wears steel-studded gauntlets and an obscene swastika dangling from his throat completes his costume with rugged boots, not loafers or wing-tips. He is likely to swagger as he walks and to grunt as he mouths his anti-authoritarian platitudes. For he, too, values consistency. Why would you hang out with someone who actually hurts your family? #RyanPhillippe 7 of 8

What amazing me is that many of you would choose to label and discriminate against this guy with these symbols on his body, although he may not have hurt anyone, but them turn around and support and show off people who have caused an innocent man to be punched in the face, raped, spine fractured in two place, and strangled twice, while driving his 7 series BMW, and yet no one does anything. Therefore, I tell you, boycott Craig’s Restaurant located at 8826 Melrose Avenue, in West Hollywood, California 90069 phone number 310-276-1900. #RyanPhillippe 8 of 8

If the law will not do anything to protect this young man, we can by stop allowing the abuse to happen by not supporting people and organizations who care nothing about human life, but just being popular. As an alternative to Craig’s maybe trying eating at the classy, clean establishment called Circa55, which is located at The Beverly Hilton located at 9876 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, California 90210, USA, phone number 310-274-7777. We have the power to save lives by making better choices. Symbols should not have so much power over us, but words and actions should be our guides.
