On my way of life, you have enriched my path, developed my intelligence, and ignited a passion in my heart. It may seem that we go from freezing outside to the furnace. Your love like the red charcoal fire, gives me endless warmth. Because of your irrigation with love and cultivation with pains, there are gorgeous memories on my mind.

What is the reason, that though we know these dreams, these fleeting shadows of the night, to be more than dreams, illusions of the working mind, fettered and debased as it is by the organs through which it conveys its confined powers to the greater matter, body, then sleeping, inactive, as in the shades of eternal slumber; yet that we cannot help being strongly impressed by them, and meditating interpretation of the flying vapors, when reason is broad awake and tells us that it is weakness to be disturbed at them?
Peace roams through the waiting dreamer, and the comfort of love comes into the stillness of the heart. Peace, like an ocean of infinite life, reflects itself through me and calms every turbulent feeling. I am at peace and rest in the knowledge of the love of God which is at hand.

Oh, do not say that you give us too little, do not say that again. It is you that gives us love and care; when I failed, it is you that gave me the courage and self-confidence; when I succeed, it was you that encouraged me to ty my best again and again. Like a cloak, you love is wrapped around me. Like a warm garment, it shelters me from the white squalls of life. I feel and know that an almighty love envelops me in your close embrace. My love, how wonderful thou art. I am open to receive thy great blessing. You will hear the calling from my heart and blessing forever.

Our hearts are connected; it will always be with you. Good fortune opens the hands as well as the heart wonderfully; and to give somewhat when we have largely received, is but to afford a vent to the unusual ebullition of the sensations. The voice of truth speaks to me, guides me, and keeps me on the path of the perfect day. I shall be told everything that I should know when the time of requirement arrives, and this will keep us righteous. Nothing enters but this voice, for it is the voice of God.

Do you imagine that if mortals had power over events, or were in reality free and uncontrollable agents in the history of their own existence, that you would see so many unhappy beings?—no certainly, for who would do that which would render him miserable, if he had the power of avoiding it? And if he had that power, yet chose nevertheless to be miserable, who would pity him?
He that loves, and is loved by, a race of pure and virtuous creatures, and that lives continually in the midst of them, is an idiot if he does not think himself happy. I was never much displeased with those harmless delusions that tend to make us more joyful. Our lives are rendered blissful by an unsought harmony with nature.

We are two lotus flowers on the same stalk, two trees interlocked together. Our hearts are tied together. You are so considerate and generous, congratulating my Christmas this lovely. I will cherish the gift to thank you for your profound sentiments and love. This symbol and being long together makes us remember each other forever. May the flame of strong love spring up in your dreamy eyes.
It is hard for me to express my thanks for your kindness, and present. It is a display of your heart, and I am deeply moved by it. You really spared no expense and my sunshine beams through the cumulonimbus clouds. We are the cream of all that have come before us. We are really living the life; we begin where they ended; we stand on their shoulders; their whole learning is only our alphabet; they laid the foundation, we construct the superstructure.

Maybe you think people over there live in harmony and peace. No, my dear, life is even harder over there. The love we have grows out of our hearts. If moralists would improve the human nature, they should endeavor to expand, not to contract the heart. They should build their system on the passions and affections, the only foundations of the nobler virtues.

Because of you, my heart plays a recognizable melody even if the melody is only a few notes long. These melodies can be repeated, extended, inverted, and played in different keys and at different volumes throughout different times of the day. The pleasure you have brought about, the support you have offered, the love you have showed and the life you have lived—all these things makes you more amiable and respectable with every passing year in my heart.
