My eyes are intent; as they puzzle over some new idea which has risen in conversation, they reveal the thinking side of my character. The Antarctic is the greatest unfinished paradise in the World. Where a seal can catch fish, a polar bear can patiently stalk seals, and a man could build a castle out of ice; where penguins can live a whole town could live. You could even be naked under Capricorn and walk a mile in a white man’s shoes. These are situations that allow us to discover a philosophy of life.
Getting ahead in industry is an adventure, and there are not many people today who like adventure. The supervisor who gets ahead must have a basic materialistic selfish interest in a better life and one must believe one will reach their goal if one tries hard enough. If there were people in the World today, any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have a paradise in a few years.
A group called “The Holy Ones” will rule with Jesus in Heaven. The first holy ones chosen will be Jesus’ faithful advocates. God has continued to select faithful men and women as divine ones until now. Like Jesus, they are resurrected with a spiritual body. How many people go to Heaven? Jesus called the “little flock.” They will finally number 144,000. They will rule over the Earth with Jesus.
Giant Earthquakes are shaking Greenland, and scientists just figured out the disturbing reason why. Jesus’ first action as King was to throw Satan and his demons down to the Earth. Satan became furious and began causing trouble throughout the Earth. Since then, mankind’s woes have severely increased. Wars, famines, epidemics, and Earthquakes are all part of a sign that the Kingdom will soon take full charge of Earth’s affairs.
If Greenland goes, it is becoming clear that it will not go quietly! Scientist have already documented entire meltwater lakes vanishing in a matter of hours atop the vast Greenland ice sheets, as huge crevasses open beneath them. And now, they have cast light on the mechanisms behind another dramatic geophysical effect brought on by the rumbling and melting of this mass of often mile thick ice: Earthquakes.
When vast icebergs break off at the end of tidal glaciers, they tumble in the water and jam the glaciers themselves backwards. The result is a seismic event detectable across the Earth. The result is a seismic event detectable across the Earth. These Earthquakes are all around magnitude 5.0, and that is a pretty big Earthquake.
However, these Earthquakes are not caused by faults, they are caused by massive movements of ice and there are seven times as many glacial Earthquakes coming from Greenland than there were 26 years ago. These ice bergs can be two miles in length, so that is why they shake the Earth when they move, and they are throwing their weight against other solid objects.
The iceberg, when it breaks off from the glacier front, is tall and relatively thin (compared with the glacier, anyway) and in effect they are standing up vertically, cutting into the Earth and sinking quickly, and water rises up to the surface, then they lay flat and float in the water.
It is like if you a block of Tillamock cheese, and a dominion, and they are attack, and standing up straight, then the dominion just sudden falls backward, as if it were pushed And its force pushing on the remaining glacier and the rocks beneath it that gives us the seismic activity.
Because this keeps happening over and over again, over 55 days in the summer of 2013, the researchers observed ten large calving events and corresponding Earthquakes. So these Earthquakes are not caused by faults. So Greenland is raising the global sea level by a millimeter every year, as icebergs fall into the sea and glaciers retreat further. The ice sheet contains enough water to raise global sea levels by 20 feet.
Nevertheless, the Earthquakes are not themselves destabilizing the ice sheets, but they are a marker of the fact that the ice sheet is getting smaller and retreating. And because Greenland will not go quietly, we know how fast it is leaving us. Man cannot control climate change; it is just part of the Earth changing.
Recently, Alaska has had the hottest May in 25 years. And these fires are not just burning trees, they are consuming grasses, tundra, and burning away soil as well and threaten the permafrost, which will release more carbon into the atmosphere, and this will amplify warming. Alaska has warmed up by 3 degrees in the past 60 years. More than 8 million acres have burned in the 2000s.
The Anaktuvuk fire managed to single handedly giver off 2.1 million metric tons of carbon to the atmosphere. Most of that came from the soil organic matter, not the trees or plants. There is a huge amount of dead plant life, and other life forms packed with carbon, frozen in the Arctic soils. So if the trees do not grow back as fast as they burn, we are in trouble. Trees pull carbon out of the air, which cools the Earth down, cleans the air and produces oxygen and shade, and prevents soil erosion.
By means of a global preaching work, God’s Kingdom is already uniting a great crowd of people from all nations. Millions of meek people are becoming the subjects of Christ. God’s Kingdom will protect them when it destroys the present wicked system of things on Earth.
So all who want to benefit from God’s Kingdom should learn to be obedient subjects of Christ because during a period of 1,000 years, the Kingdom will accomplish God’s original purpose for mankind, and the Earth will become a global paradise. Finally, Jesus will hand the Kingdom back to this Father. With the Earth changing, the government and people have to really prioritize their expenditures, as resources are running out.
If I write for the limited public that read the average literary magazine, I am not meeting the number of people I want to meet. That is why I concentrate on overseas markets. For instance, thirty one million people read each issue of The Sacramento Bee. I work too hard at my fiction to let it die after being read by a handful of people when I can reach millions. And fiction can be important; a writer can say things in fiction that he could say in no other way. It is the only form of writing in which you can tell the truth.
