Praise and Honor for the Nonparticipants

You know how it is when you lose passion for a career and a person, sometimes it happens at the same time. An individual can see when they are being used, but may hang in there to give you the benefit of the doubt. However, there comes a time in everyone’s life when they have a moment of enlightenment and see what they are trying so hard to get or accomplish is simply not worth it. When it comes to a career aspiration, and I start to see so many people in that field of work are unethical and disingenuous, it makes me see that that life is not for me.

And when it comes to a relationship, or potential relationship, and I am always giving, and getting nothing but pain in return, it makes me see this is not what I want. I am not a slave, and I am not a love slave. I see that it is really time for me to let go. I am sure you noticed that I am no longer getting upset by things you do, and it is because I never expected anything from you, and as time went on, I got to see what kind of person you are and that is not what I want in my life. I want someone who lifts me up and supports me, not necessarily financially, but emotionally.

I want someone who spends time with me, and enjoys me for my thoughts, as well as my looks. And I see you are not the person for me, and that career is not for me. I long to accomplish a great and noble task, and right now my time is wasted in the same way every day; you have reached the pinnacle of success as soon as you become uninterested in money, compliments, or publicity. No matter how much you value your work, it cannot compare with a relationship with your creator. If something is worth doing, either give it your best or do not do it at all.

My life is not a dressed rehearsal, and I want to give it my best because I will not get another chance, it does not matter if six years, or six months have gone by, I cannot say this has been a waste of time because it has helped me grow, and I am looking forward to what comes next. I see the lesson I learned is to choose who I want and what career I want, do not let them choose me. Often times, I have found my time just ticking, people and corporations using me, leading me on, so they can get free work, free promotion, and they give absolutely nothing back in return.

However, the great men and women of history were great not because of what they owned or earned, but because they gave their lives to accomplish greatness. Success is not measured by what a person accomplishes, but by the opposition one has encountered, and the courage with which one has maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds. And frankly, at this point, I cannot say that I love your nor that career I was trying so hard for.
