In every career field, there are politics. Reporters have politics, rappers (music artist) have politics, and gamers (technology specialist) have their own set of politics also. And sometimes with a business or region, there is an organizational split. For example, music artist can tell where certain styles come from. Listening to a couple of rappers, I totally thought they were perfidious because of the subject matter they were dissecting. These two guys, G-easy and a DJ were talking about how E-40’s style of music would be big in the bay area, but they did not expect to expand to south of the Bay and the East Coast because they have different cultures. To me this sounded like some armatures just jacking their jaws because I found it unfathomable that people could think that a style of music would not go national. However, I got to listening to them and because of certain patterns and words, people can trace where one got their style from. So then I understood it is possible to limit music to one region, and then further subdivide it. However, some styles are so in vogue that they can break through barriers and become a phenomenon.

 Also, by opening my mind and listening to other sources of information, it broadened my view about parallels between certain careers. For instance, some rappers get their start by self-producing their own music and distributing, and then they are discovered and become international successes. However, they have to hone their skills and really craft their image, and adjust their attitude and give the audience what they want, while staying true to themselves. Much like the international superstar Aaliyah did. I tend to admire people, and became interested in a gamer because I really wanted to listen to him speak so we could kind of connect. Freddie Prinze Jr. recently did two interviews and I listen to one of them and am finishing up the second one. They are about an hour long each. By listening to Freddie talk about the characters in these games, I learned strategies about careers, life, politics and people. To future highlight this, the descriptions of characters reminded me of my self and people I know, and it shed some light of life, and the spunky things people do. Like ticking, where you slow a character down, and get more use out of them, which in reality represents a glass ceiling.

 Sometimes in life, people are thrusted in certain positions, which they make not expect, and while it is not something they desire, others see potential. What one might see as a hobby, some many see as a floret career in progress. And because I may see what I do as a hobby, and only associate with particular journalist, it sometimes strains relationships because others feel slighted and see that I may not take what I am doing seriously. So today, I had a bit of an edifying experience. I kind of clashed with someone’s jeering sense of humor and took it personally because it reminded me of others from the past. Now, I am not perfect, and sometimes there are going to be personality disarrangement.  However, after reflecting, I understand that I need to communicate not just with a few people, but with others also, after all, it is their career, and when you have new talent, you want them to speak to you and come to you for advice, and not just a select few. What we are experiencing is the norming periodic phase of development, and to be considered a competent communicator, I have to display sensitivity to others.

 This is my hobby, and it is technically journalist, but sometimes I say things I should not and am selective. However, I have to adapt my communication to the group so that my communication is more appropriate for the group. I might be considered rigidity because I am not conforming to their values, but I do not see myself as part of their team for some personal reasons. However, just like some rappers start distributing material autonomously, the same can be done with journalists, and when one reaches certain level of non-treaty it is best to adapt, and expect some backlash, but stay rational and this may create an opportunity for one. Like many of the eidolic reflections that are seen, a voice may simply be the result of energy recorded in the environment, and one’s presence could turn a hobby into a corporeal career. People get attached to certain mediums of information, and just because I am unaware of the existence of the interest, I should keep improving my skills and trying my best until the tide turns. So, never give up, just improve.
