Our society has a great many requirements and goals. In order for these to be realized, people in positions of leadership, must get certain ideas to become part of our everyday thinking. It seems necessary for every person to learn certain attitudes and beliefs about the values in one’s society, and have loyalty to the larger national order.

Since we are dependent upon each other, we must learn approaches in dealing with others that allow for sharing, social concern, and trust. Each of us in these and many others ways are programmed by the culture to think and feel in specified ways. And though certain latitude is permitted, with some alternatives allowed, most of us are socialized to be more or less similar in the content of our minds.

All of the above would be sufficient if people were only robots or puppets, easily programmed and automatically meeting all the wired in tasks and needs of the larger group. However, such is not the case. Many viewers of the classic TV series, Star Trek, were fascinated by Mr. Spock, the seemingly infallible Earthling who captained the ship.

However, Spock’s superb mind was not the only thing many of us admired. Some of us wished that we too could go through our lives being less emotionally involved, not panicking in crisis, avoiding excesses of strong feeling.

Vulcans, remember, were humanoid, created to be humanlike in every respect except the emotional.  And faithful followers of the show might have noted that there were times when even Spock wished he had some feelings so he could experience more of the World, as his more emotional Earthling cotravelers did.

However, commit your way to the LORD, and trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. Do you know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? However, you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord and by the Spirit of our God.  I know my God is going to lead me out of the suffering and pain.

May that floating thoughts turn to colorful stars and knock at your beautiful dream every night. May your life be like this fantastic night filled with happiness and ecstasy. Wish you a bright future and not forget me. If life is a flower, love is the honey of the flower. May your future be as beautiful as flower and as sweet as honey. He loves you.
