Living for God. Once again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of jewels. You brood of vipers, how can you who are corrupt say anything good? Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, action, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. However, mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness, but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. Therefore, prepare your minds for actions. Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
