Born Old, Departure Should be Sudden

We often admire the folly of the dupe, when we should transfer our whole surprise to the astonishing guilt of the betrayer. Man is false to himself, and betrays his own succors ten times where nature does it once. Nature has provided in the distress and inconvenience of the maternal function a sufficient check upon it abuses, just as she has in regard to all the other natural functions. I have know’d that sweetest and best women ever since afore her First, which Mr. Harris who was dreadful timid went and stopped his ears in a empty dog-kennel, and never took his hands away or come out once till he was showed the baby, wen bein’ took with fit, the doctor collared him and laid him on his back upon the airy stones, and she was told to ease her mind, his owls was organs. And I have know’d her when he has hurt her feelin’ art by sayin’ of his ninth that it was one to many, if not two, while that dear innocent was cooin’ in his face, which thrive it did through bandy.  I wish either my father or my mother, or indeed not of them, as they were in duty both equally bound to it, had minded what they were about when they begot me. Man’s desire of Early experience draws him to rebirth, and he is born into a form that fit his nature as a glove a hand; the soul of a warrior passes into the robust form of a warrior; the soul of a poet into the sensitive body of a poet. It is a pleasant thing to reflect upon, and furnishes a complete answer to those who contend for the gradual degeneration of the human species, that every baby born into the World is a finer one then the last.

A density of population implies severer struggles for existence, and a consequent repulsion of element brought into too close contact. It generally happens that where a mere physical impulse urges the people to insurrection, though it is often an influence of slow growth and movement, the effect are more violent and sometimes more obstinate than when they move under the blended authority of moral and physical necessity, and mix up together the rights and the wants of Man. Satan has faithful instruments, and the bond of wickedness is a stronger bond than the ties of virtue.  The devil used to say that it was better to reign in Hell, than to be a valet de chamber in Heaven. Because men are by nature prone to sin, is therefore the devil a good being, who eternally solicits and prompts them to it? London is the devil’s drawing-room, and anywhere rather than home is the devil’s home. Satan has faithful instruments, and the bond of wickedness is a stronger bond than the ties of virtue. Devils believe and tremble. If he closed his eyes in sleep, Margaret, or Satan in her shape, beset him, a seeming angel of light. She came glowing with two beauties never before united—in angel’s radiance and woman’s blushes. Angels cannot blush, so he knew it was a fiend. If there is no Devil, how can wicked people be sent to him?

Pray for what sort of a gentleman is the devil? For I have heard some say there is no such person; and that it is only a trick of persons to prevent their being broke; for, if it was publicly known that there was no devil the parsons would be of no more use than soldiers in peace. The devil is unwearied tempter; he never fails to find opportunity for that wickedness he invites to.  He that is shipped with the devil must sail with the devil.  There are frequencies in music that you cannot hear. The Occult movement is real, and there is a persistent idea, widely canvassed in a sensational genre of literature, that the Nazis were principally inspired and directed by occult agencies from 1920 to 1945, and their goal was to break down your resistance and enforce mental programming and hidden attack, on their selected targets. They would take control of individuals and program them to think, conceal them, hide them or eclipse them. Some members were reported to be real Vampire friends, as they have share blood. For he is the kind of man, who is always thinking about the cost; eat and drink he says to you, but his heart is not with you. You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments. Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words. Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong; he will take up their case against you.

Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge. Your thoughts are what determine who you are. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless, and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation. In keeping his promises, we are looking forward to heaven and a new Earth, the home of the righteousness. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the World hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the Earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. The entire entertainment industry is full of stars. For all who have sinned fall from the glory of God, if those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect, those days were shorten. Take heed that no one deceives you. It is written, do not put your Lord god to the test. Love the Lord you God and keep his commandments always. Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. Those on the Occult do not really die, they become something other than what God intended them to be. However, mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.  They are the kind who worm their way into houses and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sin and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning, but never able to acknowledge the truth. There are no devils, but those which are begotten upon selfishness and reared by cunning. If we deny everything in which we do not clearly comprehend, our knowledge will be reduced within very narrow bounds. In the earliest recorded history of man, those who are now called mentally ill were believed to be possessed by the devils or demons. The sure, then, was to find a way to cast out the devil. A variety of rituals were used to do so—beating, burning, dunking the person in water, chaining him to a wall, making him drink all sorts of foul potions, even burning him at the stake.

As you can imagine, a lot of people were upset, depressed, or somewhat eccentric got better very quickly, or did not last very long. The person who felt extremely depressed or as though he were losing his mind would be highly unlikely to share his feelings with anyone. There are still people who hold to the demon-possession theory in a way. They think strong people never become emotionally ill, that only bad people or weak people suffer such problems. That really is not so far from thinking the only reason an individual has an emotional problem is that he is possessed by a devil.  In time, doctors began to realize that this is rarely so. Thus, you can contribute immensely to the amount of mental health and happiness in the World—including yourself—by doing some fairly simple things. Notice other people. Notice how they appear to feel, what seems to turn them on, make them happy. Notice their achievements, their appearances. Show them you notice them. How? Smile. Say, “Hello.” Tell them, “That was a great job you did last week.” Ask, “Are you feeling tired?” There is something worth noticing about nearly everyone. And often you can help immeasurably to make someone feel more human just by a simple hug or by holding their hand, just bothering to notice them makes a huge difference.  Notice when you need a hug and get it.

Their search for an adequate self is insatiable and helping relationships which seem to contribute to this end will more likely be sustained and meaning full. Learning is a personal affair and whatever dehumanizes people tends to get in the way of effective learning and self-actualization. The atmosphere for exploration mist reassures the person that he can value and respect the self and permit it to enter the process.  You can make yourself and your life whatever you want. That is the ultimate therapy. Being possessed by the devil does not mean he is unconscious, more or less a possession of the devil, hence, possessed by the devil, and the necessity of departure is like looking on the necessity of death. Let us withdraw, therefore, the glass. The two, the soul and its god, the inward eye and its object, are extinguished, both and equally. There is now neither an object nor a subject, nor anything to be known or named, but the Silence lone that is fourth and final grounding element of the once hears, now no longer heard. Mutual toleration and forbearance, in our sentiments, with regard to the legality, or expedience of measures, is the soul of democracy.
