Currently, we live in a climate where everyone needs to have a lawyer on retainer, to defend us, because people, in high positions like to lie and slander others, and these allegations can lead to arrest and criminal charges. Violent evils require violent remedies. Nothing gives so much strength to an adversary as the view of timidity in his opponent. Many of the emotional attitudes people develop toward foods, political parties, ethnic group, escalators, high rise apartment buildings, and cars is probably not only conditioned by direct experiences, but vicariously as well. Some people are, in fact, born prejudice—some babies do not like puppet shows and lights hanging from the ceiling, I supposed it brings up repressed memories, while parents may love the shows, as it reminds them of good childhood experiences. Therefore, some attitudes are inherited, and others are learned. Parents may do well to look at their parents if they wonder how or where a child picked up a particular fear or emotional attitude. If there be rejoicing in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, should there not also be mercy and forgiveness at least upon Earth?
The memory has as many moods as the temper, and shifts its scenery like a diorama. I was sorry to find more mercy in a heathen than in a brother Christian. In operant conditioning (instrumental learning) one starts to associate responses with their consequences. The basic principle is simple: Acts that are reinforced tend to be repeated. This is known as the law of effect, which tells you that the probability of a response is altered by the effect it has. Learning is strengthened each time a response is followed by a satisfying state of affairs. For example, if you can abuse your intern and ruin their reputation, and then threaten them to do research for you, and they do out of fear, it is likely that you will keep extorting this intern and the threats will increase. Life and death together make sad work for us all.
Strange life mine—rather curious history—not extraordinary, but singular; classical condition tend to be passive. It simply happens to the learner when a US follows a CS. US is a stimulus innately capable of eliciting a response. For example, with a US, a puff of air will cause you to blink your eye. With a CS a horn blowing may cause you to blink your eye. In operant conditioning, the learner actively operates on the environment. Thus, operant conditioning refers mainly to learning voluntary responses. For example, sending love letters Nicky Hilton, and going to her book signing is a way to get her attention and is a learned operant response. It is reinforced by gaining Nicky’s attention and getting her to autograph your book. Excellent always are the gifts which are made acceptable by the virtue of the giver.
To excel in theory and to excel in practice generally require different talents, which are not always met in the same person. The idea that reward affects learning is certainly nothing new to parents (and other trainers of small people). However, parents, as well as professors, politicians, supervisor, and even you, may use rewards in ways that are inexact or misguided. A case in point is the term reward. To be absolutely correct, it is better to say reinforce, not reward. Due to the fact that rewards do not always increase responding, it is better to call them reinforces. If you are trying to give your intern a brand new book as a reward for good behavior and good work, it will work only if the intern likes the book. Also, keep in mind, what is reinforcing for one person, may not be for another. As a practical rule, psychologist define an operant reinforce as any event that follows a response and increases it probability. However, your ghosts are very rude unsociable folks. It is no shame to use God’s gifts for our credits.
The vermin race are every treacherous, cruel, and cowardly, whilst those endowed with strength and power are generous, brave and gentle. By desiring what is perfectly good, even when we do not quite know what it is and cannot do what we would, we are part of the divine power against evil—widening the skirts of light and making the struggle with darkness narrower. Now, I know some of you are very offended by the writing because you consider yourself evil, but are a good person, yet I keep associating you with bad, when you may be better than a Christian—more honest and kind, but you may feel akin to Satan. Now, Satan, as your God, may not be a bad person. After all, God has many names. So that I do not offend you, I will call bad people cold and naked.
As we have noticed, learned desires for attention and approval, which are called social reinforces, often influence human behavior. As a journalist or reporter, you job is to be professional, fair, objective and well-informed, like a college professor. You are not the news media to create scandal and ruin lives. However, if you work for a corrupt station, slandering the public might be a way to increase interest and your program, and boost ratings for a while, but after the public discovers what you are really doing, you will lose favor, and possible your career. Scandal is good, but Kerry Washington gets paid to deal with that, she is a professional. Leave it to her; you might get hurt pretending to be Mrs. Kerry. After all, Mrs. Kerry has the money to pay for a lawyer, and move at the drop of a dime. However, if you create chaos, you better believe it will come back to haunt you. Despite false visions concerning you and lying divinations about you, it will be laid on the necks of the wicked who are to be slain, whose day has come, whose time of punishment has reached its climax. I will pour out my wrath upon you like hurricane Katrina, and breathe out my fiery anger against you like the rim fire; I will hand you over to brutal men, men skilled in destruction. You will be fuel for the fire, your blood will be shed in your land, you will be remembered no more; for I, the LORD have spoken.
The person who will bear much shall have much to bear the entire World through. How much nobler it is to forgive, and even how much more manly to despise, then to resent, an injury. To forgive a crime readily is a weakness that will induce one to suspect the virtue of the forgiver. Some police detectives, following the advice of psychologist, recreate crime scenes to help witnesses remember what they saw. Typically, people return to the scene, at the time of the day, the crime occurred. They also asked to wear the same clothing they wore and go through the same motions as they did before the crime. With so many memory cues available, witnesses sometimes remember key items of information they had not recalled before. The police have also asked particular witnesses to say or write down everything they can remember. Do not worry about how trivial any of it seems each bit of information you remember can serve as a cu to bring back others.
Also, try to recall events or information in different orders. Let your memories flow out backward or out of order, or start with whatever impressed you the most. Recall from different viewpoints. Review events by mentally standing in different places. Or try to view information as another person would remember it. When taking a test, for instance, ask yourself what other students or your professor would remember about the topic. Mentally put yourself back in the situation where you learned the information. Try to mentally re-create the learning environment or relive the event. As you do, include sounds, smells, details of weather, nearby objects, other people present, what you said or thought, and how you felt as you learned the information. Great knowledge of the World, or, what is often mistaken for it, an acquaintance with the higher circles and with the topics of the day.
