While people are literally being shot dead and arrested, buying Christmas, think about what the holiday really means to you. Nothing is every quite true. Christmas is not about getting gifts, or buying the most expensive thing in the store, it is about unity, family and love. Christmas is an American holiday, celebrated on 25^th December. Traditionally, people open the season by selecting an ever green tree, and taking it home to put lights and ornaments on it. However, more and more people are concerned about the environment and do not want to cut down living trees. Each year, Americans cut down 45 million trees, just to put them in the houses for a few weeks. To conserve trees, many people are buying artificial trees. Nonetheless, there is another option. There is a company called The Original Potted Christmas Tree Company and they deliver full sized potted Christmas trees, and then pick them up after the New Year. Once trees are returned, they can be planted in the park, or you can buy them and plant them yourself.  So that is a nice option. It is my belief that the only power which can resist the power of fear is the power of love. You cannot really learn to enjoy your leisure time by copying anyone. However, you can benefit tremendously by spending time with people who seem to enjoy life and really take an active interest in activities and other individuals. You want to be around people who are vital, alive, and mostly happy in their outlook on life. It is normal to have hardships in life, but you do not want to be around people who are trying to bring you down. I cannot tear my soul out of my body. You must take both or neither.

 One of the secrets to enjoying life is to like yourself. Therefore, you need to spend time around people who accept you. When you are around people who like you, you can let go much more, and do not have to fear disapproval for feeling like a happy child. I like people who understand what one says to them, and also what one does not say. Virtue is one all over the World, and there is only one faith, one conceivable conduct of life.  The World’s greatest need is mutual confidence. No human being ever knows all the secrets of another’s heart. The goal is, when you are around other people, be creative and artistic and fully present and aware. There are some rare and choice souls with whom you feel fully yourself. You know they understand you and accept you as you are—sensitive and strong, silly and smart—everything about you is what makes you unique, and your uniqueness makes you who you are. The unities are a completeness—a kind of universal dovetailedness with regard to place and time—a sort of a general oneness, if I may be allowed to use so strong an expression. Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. You can pick any group of people, those who reflect the attitude of life for which you are looking to have. No individual can understand and estimate the entire structure or its parts—what are its frailties and what it repairs, without knowing the nature of the materials. Friendship is one of the best ways to turn on to living and connect with like minds. Christmas is a time that you gather with your friends and family and the Christmas tree, being ever green, is a symbol of unity and every lasting love and life.

This is a day to show people how much you care about them and not just buy them gift. This year, I pray that you all stop shopping and just eat and spend time with your family. The climate out there is not safe, people are being killed and arrested, and I think this is why we need to get back to the true meaning of Christmas. We have a need to share our identities and humanness with others. It is my belief that the only power which can resist the power of fear is the power of love. When we are alone, or selfish, we cannot afford to fail, there is no one to pick us up. However, when we are loved, we can afford to fail. Someone loves us, puts us back together again, and we are on our feet again because we love in return. You want friends who share a similar attitude toward life. The more interests and hobbies you share, the more stimulating, meaningful, closer and permanent the friendship becomes. Friends are important, rewarding, and loving experiences that satisfy our need to express our identities. When you are around people you love, it turns your life into fuller, richer, and more joyful lives. And sometimes if you want to be friends with someone, you have to take a calculated risk. It may seem easier or safer to stay at home, but the potential rewards are certainly not as great. Each bright star is overhead somewhere. Where all unite, there is no excuses. We praise God in the dances; it is a hymn written without our feet. We love to feel within us the bond which unites the most distant eras—individuals, nations, customs, perish; the affections are immortal. They are the sympathies which unite the ceaseless generations. The past lives again, when we look upon its emotions—it lives in our own. You cannot spill a drop of American blood without spilling the blood of the whole World.
