All Generous Spirits are Ambitious

Labor Day 016

Humans surely are a strange sort of creature, who never praises anyone more heartily than him who has spread destruction and ruin over the face of nations. There is a secret pleasure one has to hear oneself praised. Emotional stability is a measure of one’s emotional state. Emotional insecurity is a general feeling of unease. Some people can be terribly insecure sometimes, I am that way myself. I like to take pictures of architecture, cars, lights, buildings, statues, and nature. However, sometime I feel insecure when people are around because I do not want them to think I am trying to take a photograph of them. Nonetheless, under rare circumstances, I may ask someone if I can take his or her picture. Although if I ask to take your picture it is because you are doing something unusual (this may be a good thing).

Labor Day 034

I have this lofty idea of building my own media empire, from scratch, after all, this is America and people have come here penniless and become billionaires. By taking my own pictures and writing, I am trying something called vertical integration. Vertical integration is when a single corporation or individual has total control over production that can stifle competition. Even so, I have to learn to be more comfortable around others and realize that I am not the center of attention and no one is probably even paying attention to me. Making stuff up and then believing it is a counterproductive. You know, I am always in the same area, so even if I see someone I like, everyone once in a while, I will avoid them, so to not make our meetings awkward. Yet, keep in mind there is very little difference between a suppressed evidence and a false one.

Labor Day 035

We are always trying to understand or make sense out of our own and others actions. Humans strive to find meaning everywhere, and usually succeed. When we are interpreting something, we are finding meaning in that subject because it is not entirely clear. The expression of emotion is strongly influenced by learning, and some cultures tend to be more expressive than others. Another person’s cognitive process may not be the same as ours so do not assume that just because someone has a camera or is looking around that they are paying attention to you. You may actually be in their way. However, these are public spaces, so I have to learn to adapt my schedule to times that are better suited for what I am trying to do. Nevertheless, all kinds of mental activities—including fantasy and dreaming—can result in learning.

Labor Day 044

Children are extremely perceptive and absorb what goes on around them long before they can talk or even comprehend language. They are like finely tuned a receiver that pick up much more than is merely said. They are receptive and attuned to every mood, feeling, and change that goes on in the people around them. They are particularly affected by the way their parents, sisters, and brothers feel and act. A newborn, for example, senses the pain of hunger or discomfort, from a wet diaper, and cries. Mothers are quick to say, “She is unhappy, poor thing.” If we feed that hungry infant, change her diaper, she feels only contentment—elimination of tension and discomfort and goes back to sleep.

Labor Day 009

Some people are told that nice people do not ever show anger, at least not dramatically, or in public. A civilized person does not let his emotions get the best of him or cause him to make a fool of himself. Therefore, he might suppress his emotions and outwardly appear formal, academic, or aloof in his relations with others. However, this does not mean that he is going to explode. Some people find things they enjoy doing to release negative emotions. No one wants to suppress bad emotions so long that they come trembling out like that recent 6.1 magnitude Earthquake, in Napa, California USA, which caused Billions in damages. Sometimes people see problems where they do not exist. One will become anxious and look for signs of things going wrong. And of course, when we look for problems, we usually find them, even if, in reality nothing is wrong.

Labor Day 066

Therefore, that is why emotionally stable people do not always respond to things in their environment, as they do not want to be perceived as irate, crazy, or emotionally unstable. So, stop confusing your imagination with reality. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and you never know who is paying attention. Successful people are usually prosperous because they have talent, great personality and a good network. Meanwhile, competition brings out the worst passions in some, punishes individuals for the finer qualities, as generosity, attractiveness, truthfulness, independence, magnanimity, and ranks those highest, who has the least regard for his fellow beings. Nevertheless, a compassionate heart cannot be habitually an unjust one. You have to be emotionally attractive for people to want to draw close to you.
